    These two do such a great job on these videos. They're easy to understand and so easy to follow along with.

      Glad you enjoyed the video - since it's a one block quilt, you just keep making the same block over and over - the best part is, every color combination brings another wonderful surprise as you progress through the construction.

    I think this is a very good tutorial, plus it looks like you've done much more work than you have. Thank you so much for showing me this block!!!!!

    I'm surprised at how EASY this appears! I thought it would be much more complicated. Amazing!

    This is one of my favorite blocks. Goes together easily. Makes a very pretty block. made a couple of blocks and every one loved the idea and wanted the video sent to them.

    I watched the video again... understood it completely. Perhaps this video was part of a series and I went to make the comment on the previous video after this video started to play. It's obvious that this quilt is not set on point and the instructions were very clear. I'll just have to watch all your great lessons again to figure which one I didn't 'get'. Thank you, Susan

    one question......can you make this block using 5" precuts????? well they aren't that size yet.

  • @tracyruth4247
    @tracyruth4247 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does anyone know what the finished quilt size is?

  • @debrakellerman7364
    @debrakellerman7364 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    In the beginning, wouldn't you put both layers right side up since you're not sewing those together but will lay them out later when they're cut?

    • @6quilter4
      @6quilter4 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Debra Kellerman Good catch - I reviewed the process and you are correct - they can be placed "right sides facing up" - we are just so used to placing things "right sides together". Force of habit. Good thing is - both ways work - you haven't detroyed any blocks.......

    Nice. It would be nice if they said what issue of the magazine the quilt is in.

      The magazine is called Quilting Quickly Fall 2014. It states this under the description. I hope this helps.

      R MARTIN Thanks. Didn't see that at first because once you hit "Like" the screen shifts from the "About" section to the "Share" section.

    I know you can not use a charm pack.....anyway....how big is the block and how many 10 inch squares????

    • @6quilter4
      @6quilter4 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Judy Obrien We have made a project using this technique on the 5 inch charm size square. Look for a table runner in the upcoming May/June 2016 issue of Quilting Quickly. The dimensions and exact measurements are included in the pattern......a teaser for Coffee Table Poetry Table Runner:)

    how many 10 in squares for a queen size quilt?

    • @6quilter4
      @6quilter4 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This project required (72) 10" squares - so TWO packs - but it finishes 58 x 72. In order to get to a queen I would take 3-4 packs of pre-cuts, depending on how generous you want your quilt to be.

    I'm afraid I must have missed something when you put your 4 finished blocks together... it did not look like the quilt in back of you on the wall,which was set on point. Watched it 3 times but couldn't catch it.......

    • @6quilter4
      @6quilter4 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Susan, I reviewed our video - we constructed 1 block in cream and rust color - time stamp 5:19. This is a one block quilt and the blocks were set in straight rows. Could this comment be for a different video? I will try to answer any questions if I can. Sorry to confuse you:( - Colleen

    I have watched this several times and wish Coleen would stop finishing EVERY sentence, I think she can talk without help and that goofy hohoho laugh other than that I love the pattern and good instructions.

      Sorry if I didn't do so well. This was taped two years ago. Since then we have gone to a one presenter format. No talking or anyone and I just talk to you. We had tried to make it a conversation but you may find you like the newer format.

      It was perfect. It´s nice when people talk and share informations as you both did. Thank you.
