In Spain there is no deciduous native vegetation because the Mediterranean climate is quite extreme: Here there is abundant water in winter, but if you throw away your chlorophyll in autumn you cannot photosynthesize. However, in summer it does not rain so there you cannot photosynthesize either. That is why our species have an adaptation to preserve their leaves during the winter. You can only see deciduous species in areas close to rivers (which maintain humidity in summer) and in the north of Spain (where the climate is Atlantic). Perhaps the most characteristic and widespread are chestnut and oak trees. In the Sierra de Huelva, for example, there are areas of both species, but they are anthropogenic plantations. Herbaceous species behave in the same way. They are generally annual and only appear during rainy periods, mainly in autumn and spring. In summer this type of species disappears. There is grass now because it is raining. These plants will die when the rainy period is over and will not come out again until next year. (Autumn and spring species are different). Edit: I am talking about the native vegetation of the forest, in the city there is what the mayor decided, with many species that would not survive on their own without human care.
Halloween in Spain is not very important because for the vast majority of adults it is a holiday that does not matter to them and is of completely foreign origin. It is usually celebrated especially for the children who want to celebrate it by watching it american series and movies, since here the official spanish holiday is "Dia de todos los santos" in which we go to the cemetery to pay our respects to the deceased. Obviously, children prefer to dress up in fun things and be given candy than to go to a cemetery and see a lots of sad people.
The heating issue is the same in for example Australia and even in the UK. I actually bought a heating blanket when I lived in Australia because it was so cold in the flat during the Australian winter. I guess Spain is the same as Australia that most houses and building are uninsulated because of the climate.
@ it’s the best ever, you will not regret it! I bought one for my grandmother and she also confirms it’s the best gift ever haha 😄 sometimes I also use mine to fall asleep because I get so sleepy and relaxed because of the heat haha

So the Iberian wet north is now officially not Spain 😂
I would have those fried treats with a coffee as well to help cut the sugar sweetness. Nice to know about autumn in Valencia.
I liked churros with dark chocolate 👍
para ver esos colores hay que ir a otras zonas....
Валенсия прекрасная, зелёная и солнечная, осенью не пахнет

In the north of spain we have already the Samaín, which is autochthonous.
