Anyone else in 2024?
Meeee 😊
Yes.
Amazing voice control!...what you hear recorded is what you get live
May 2023 .. loved them in the 80s. Love Tony Hadley today. HE IS SPANDAU BALLET.
What a beautiful voice… and he hardly gets winded running around the stage.
Such a clear voice. Tony Hadley is one of the most underrated singers ever.
Why do I find it hard to write the next line / oh I want the truth to be said
Francesco Maiano absolutely!
I totally agree. His voice doesn't need any voice enhancer.
So perfect
It's good
One of the (if not THE) best pop vocalists of all time!
Holy crap!! Tony never got the respect he deserved for his amazing vocals!! Wow. This performance was epic back then and now I really appreciate this group and Tony's vocals.
Unfortunately not a one of these guys is left in the band!!!!! Spandau ballet is no longer spandau ballet!!!!! What a bunch of B. S.!!!!!!! Just another case of people not being able to get along with each other and everyone that was a fan of theirs has to suffer!!!!!! They were great!!!!!!!!
@@cyclist7s Just Gary Kemp right?
I was only 16, in France, they were an underrated band, despite the rumours, the diamant voice of the singer could go on and on during a whole concert, no fake, pure talent. Still fascinated by his solo albums
17 in Australia, Live Aid blew me away.
You are damn so lucky as I ve exchanged here about mind blowing Freddie Mercury s performance at Live Aid. I m French, living at 12 km from the Eurockéennes site at the bottom of the Vosges Mountain range...warm greetings
@@laurence.MusicAndSights It was pretty amazing for a country boy living in the sticks, not that there's been much to top it in the interim...

Nothing can replace or duplicate a live performance. And this concert sounds as fresh and exciting as it did in the good old 80s
exactly. (i'm pro musician for long time now, both studio/live..)
... and then the farce-demic came
Such a pure voice. He sounds as great live as he does on a recording. That just doesn't happen.
Agree…!!
He sounds like if he was in playback!
That's Big Tone for You!😂😂
That was a great day! Never forget that day and concert. Never!!!
Tony Hadley is the perfect description of a gentleman ,a sexy gentleman and a perfect singer
The first time I saw him in the "True" video I melted. My dream Englishman singing about love...
Can‘t explain how much i love the 80‘s 🤩
Tony Handley has one of the most beautiful voices.
And sexy’s so far!
Your right there so underrated ..... 🏂🏂🏂🏂🏂
yes tony best voice pop
And handsome men,...Ever!!😍😍😍😍😍
oustanding live performance
😎🎵🎶🎼❤️❤️❤️❤❤❤
I got tickets to live aid at the last minute (they announced they'd found some unsold on radio 1 & I phoned the box office !,) It was all great, top bands great live music. What a lucky pup...
This is a fantastic live performance by Spandau Ballet of one of their great songs. They sound awesome. It's so fun to watch this Live Aid video from 1985.
I remember watching this live on TV... I was only 11 and I didn't know how I would miss those times...
I was 10 at that time
I was -22, and that's actually sad for me...
I have no idea of how that event was, but if something like that would happen again i think that i would not lose that show for any reason!
(Sorry for my bad english)
So was I...born 10-3-73 in NJ here 😁
SUCH a great voice and performer.
Oh, and the band sounded pretty good, too!! lol
I've recently listened again to Spandau (earliest was during my childhood in the 2000s, my Mom loved True so much). I have to say Tony deserves more spotlight!!! His vocal range is massive, clear & he has great control over it! He mentioned he has a good work ethic, so I was thinking he's very disciplined on taking care of his voice. Such a true artist. 🥰
P.S.
sorry for any grammatical errors, English is not my native language.
I agree, he's taken great care of his voice and it's as strong as ever, maybe even stronger.
And your English is *excellent!* Far better than that of a lot of native speakers. 😊
My god I was 14 it was unbelievable ❤
when i started to appreciate the new wave music that's the Spandau Ballet band i loved the music and the group i have a crush to Tony Hadley he is so handsome n cute face.
Clean voice!!
Live aid remains a like a snapshot in time of how great music was in the 80's and these guys were at the height of their popularity here.
... A little bit mainstream, other great band in 80's was Stunning!
Tony Hadley, Morrissey and Pat Kane from Hue & Cry are, in my opinion, the most complete vocalists of the 80s, although Tony got even better over time. His voice aged so well.
You ve made a point here, good husband, quiet, no tormented by drugs, really our legend
Tone, Pat and Pete Cox from Go West- this side of The Pond in My view. Tone seems like a top bloke despite being a gooner😂.
Tony hadley voice is amazing until now and the group bands really nice.
I agree no phones kids believe it. So lucky to be a youth in the 80s and part of 80s music and our hairstyles and fashion sense 👩🏼🎤👨🎤🇦🇺
Its only because they weren't invented. We would have been just the same.
Legend….. sound of the 80’s for me
we need to do a show like this again. the world is in need of this.
Ill second that thought!!!!!!! Only 80’s artists though!!!!!!!! Mr.Geldof how bout it sir??? Im sure you could do it!!!!!!go for it!!!!!!!!!!!! I’d be there for sure!!!!!!!! A lot of the same singers and groups plus 80’s artists that were not there, that would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!
One of the best bands a salute to Tony Hadley and his musicians from 🇨🇱 Chile.
has the same voice to this day ... amazing indeed ...
This is one of the best performances of the day
Showing some 80's pop bands can kill it live. They had a great set at Live Aid.
An awesome Live Performance - such a pure and golden voice. I miss this music
one of the best songs at live aid
This is my favourite SB song. Tend to hear Gold or True more.
Me too!
One of my fave bands of 80s
Wow!!! Can we go back to that time??? When we were young, lez go!!!!
This is the best song of Spandau ballet 👍🏻👌🏻 Fantastic!!!!!
Agree there. My favourite.
A Great Performance from Spandau Ballet
Brilliant performance 👏
Love this song so much ❤ when now its 2022.10.17 ❤
Saw Tony performing live two days ago. Still has great voice. Ciao from Italy.
They're underrated
Amazing. Absolutely no one is looking at their phones in the audience.
Frank Cawley they didn’t have them lol
The house brick phone was a bit bulky to carry around to concerts.
Did you watch this on your phone? Can’t have it both ways...
It's 1985 !!!
I would be amazed if someone in 1985 took their phone.. They weren't exactly portable 😂
Tony Hadley had and has a so powerful and hot voice...
ikr
Seen them live many times brilliant
Handsome 😍 Tony love his voice
Great voice also great performance from the band 😀👍🏻
I miss the 80's/...Great time to live
God to go back to the 80's one more time...when I was born, god it's ironic in so many ways back to the future was set in the 80's it's almost as if they knew that this decade could never be surpassed. Hadley had an amazing voice, along with so many other great performers this decade brought us
Glad to have been a kid back then!! Grateful and Truly Blessed today.
"Only When You Leave"
Laying in the after glow,
I only want to learn what you know,
But now you're leaving...
How many hearts must you break?
How many calls must I make?
But now you're leaving...
In this world, all that I choose has come unbearable
But love is in your touch
Ooh, it's killing me so much
Only when you leave
I need to love you
And when the action has all gone
I'm just a little fool enough to need you
Fool enough too long
Only when you leave, you'll leave in danger
Oh, I'll make sure that you pay
So give a little passion to a stranger
And take this soul away
I only want to make this things last,
So how could this have gone so fast?
And now you're leaving...
How many times must I learn?
It' s only when you've gone that I burn,
And now you're leaving...
In the end, all that I left has come unbearable
It's hard to change your mind,
So leave it all behind
Only when you leave
I need to love you
And when the action has all gone
I'm just a little fool enough to need you
Fool enough too long
Only when you leave, you'll leave in danger
Oh, I'll make sure that you pay
So give a little passion to a stranger
And take this soul away
This always gives me this summer chill out vibe
One of my favorite rock bands - Spandau Ballet!❤❤❤
Tony so clean to see before when hes young until now hes older always goodlooking
Dashing
When live is actually much cooler and sounds a lot better than on the album - Great Band, great epic song !
Hermoso Tony y toda su banda
🕺😎❤️
This is exactly how you should convert your studio sound into your live sound - a bit sharper, faster, harsher. It needs to be like that, for the acoustics/sonics that you get in big arenas. They're a really tight band
It sounds crazily close to the studio version! What a professional!
But this is at least 20 bpm too fast 😂
Tremendous Band!! Tony Hadley & Steve Perry the BEST vocal leaders!!!
WONDERFUL! CHIC, TRES CHIC!
Great talented band
Old but very good Song.And Life.Still Listen.04.03.2021-10.03.2021🧡🦋
Alright good song. 17.-18.Mai 2021.
Truly 'True' was Spandau Ballet best song.......❤
Great voice by Tony Hadley.
A perfect show! Beautiful days and generations from 1960 until 1990, if the world had frozen on these dates. 👏👏👏👏💋👍
This was the greatest concert ever...Sorry Woodstock fans ☹️. Queen killed it...Their performance was legendary. Spandau Ballet sounded pretty good here too.
Not only queen also U2, The cars, David Bowie, and many More
@@bennybandong3259 yessir
Still enjoying this beauty in....
.....Oct. 2020!!!!!!!!!
I know Queen were good on the day, but this performance has been overlooked many times, they were just as awesome on the day, and I'm not really a big Spandau fan.
I have to agree, during True, the audience was just as engaged.
Mr. Balloffur They sounded so together and with no sound check.
Exactly !!! You do not "steal the show" in a charity event, you simply do your best for the cause ... but you now, the now so called "Queen" made a huge publicity stunt out of it.
Parade is their best record.
Stunning voice dear Tony
I live in Ireland and as time goes by I got to know two people who were at that concert
In the 80s I didn't like them very much, for me there was only Bruce and rock n roll, but listening to today's bands I have to admit that Spands were very good. Tony hadley had a wonderful voice.
Steve Norman was my fashion role model (besides Wham!) back then. Earring, blonde highlights, tanning bed - i did it all lol
after the first sax solo they turned up the volume of the sax fortunately, who doesnt love 80s sax?
Beautiful voice!
That day I was sitting in front my tv watching all this great bands
Madre mia!!! parece la voz del disco!! MARAVILLOSO. Me encanta. Maravillosos años 80. Love

I always remembered steve norman looking at the camera and saying “no no no no”. Perfect timing for the camera guy. 4:17
Tony Hadley rocking his best Steve Harrington hair
My 15th birthday party. How bless I am.
Trilha sonora da minha vida! O LIve Aid foi um momento único!
Great performance!Spands are the greatest
Back when pop music still had actual instruments and real musicians. Today? crap
Love it whenever Steve goes for his sax...AND those backing girls were quite "slinky" weren't they?? XX
fantastic
