I am in awe of this mans ability to have the Bible memorized but also the Quran and Hadith , he knows English, Arabic, Greek, and who knows? I feel so inadequate to even be called a believer in Christ. My head spins listening to him.....I can’t stop! Makes me want to get into the Word more. If only I had his energy!

@@louskimming4371I respect this breakdown. Now, has God(Christ) not been calling for all people forever? Helkou to His people all throughout it the old testament and now the new age knocks. He pleads with us to answer to His knock. So because that prerequisite/condition has been met, wouldn’t it be that people choose Him? If it is so that He has indeed written His law on our hearts, hasn’t that condition been met?
I read your comment intently, and this is what came to me for a response. I hope you can do the same. God bless.

@@louskimming4371 Where do you come with the idea that decisions are works? Is that Biblical because I haven’t come across that idea in my reading.
Anyways, yes I agree with a lot of what you said, we need God, our works don’t earn us salvation all of that.
Reading Romans 8, from the beginning Paul is talking to the people who are in Christ(those who believe in Him and ultimately have repented). So when it goes on to say His elect, His elect are those who believe in Christ who came for them. Just like you said, those who saw them didn’t believe, they didn’t even want to. Peter walked with Him and denied Him, Judas betrayed Him, but Christ still said all 12 names were written in the book of life, they were to baptize. prophecy, all of the gifts. So were they not His elect?
When God pleads with His people in Jeremiah to turn from their idols, asking them how much longer will they be slaves to them. Is God saying that it’s not their free will keeping them from repenting and turning to Him?
God is unfathomable, I agree, He is not indebted to us, but He did make a covenant and He is not a liar. Christ fulfilled His prophecy do that coming covenant and now we must choose or not.

I believe that the supernatural ability you are referring to is the grace of the Holy Spirit who reminds him of the scriptures. Our admiration of this gift should lead us all to the Lord and recognize He is giving this minister the wisdom and supernatural intelligence that Paul refers to in Colossians 1: 9-10. We should pray that God will also fill us with this grace so that we also increase in the knowledge of God and walk worthy of His call.

The Word, if you are reading daily, will be engraved on the tablet of your heart, and when ministering/teaching, or even talking to someone on the street, the Holy Spirit can prompt a verse because it has been engraved, not memorized.
But, if you are not reading and studying Gods Word, or if you only read verses that your friends send to you on Facebook. Your engraving is shallow, return to the study of the Word, most are still only able to take milk, you should be rightly handling the meat of the Word, and you still want to look at signs, and wonders. You should be focusing on listening diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, but you can’t, you don’t know his voice, you haven’t bothered to apply that to the tablet of your heart, but instead you have follow after the ways of the world.
I pray you turn swiftly, draw near, and He will draw near to you. Come with a repentant heart in Jesus name, His judgment is coming, prepare your hearts. Seek the Lord while he still may be found. Today is the day of salvation.
      Thank you,
      Rod

You have also verified for me that what I believed is in fact correct, but you also show me how to explain to others WHY. God Bless you and keep leading others to Jesus.

Charles Simeon’s (Calvinist) conversation with John Wesley (Arminian)
It is instructive in this connection to ponder Charles Simeon’s account of his conversation with John Wesley on December 10, 1784 (the date is given in Wesley’s journal):
Charles Simeon: “Sir, I understand that you are called an Arminian; and I have been sometimes called a Calvinist; and therefore I suppose we are to draw daggers. But before I consent to begin the combat, with your permission I will ask you a few questions.… Pray, Sir, do you feel yourself a depraved creature, so depraved that you would never have thought of turning to God, if God had not first put it into your heart?”
John Wesley: “Yes,” says the veteran, “I do indeed.”
Charles Simeon: “And do you utterly despair of recommending yourself to God by anything you can do; and look for salvation solely through the blood and righteousness of Christ?”
John Wesley: “Yes, solely through Christ.”
Charles Simeon: “But, Sir, supposing you were at first saved by Christ, are you not somehow or other to save yourself afterwards by your own works?”
John Wesley: “No, I must be saved by Christ from first to last.”
Charles Simeon: “Allowing, then, that you were first turned by the grace of God, are you not in some way or other to keep yourself by your own power?”
      John Wesley: “No.”
Charles Simeon: “What, then, are you to be upheld every hour and every moment by God, as much as an infant in its mother’s arms?”
      John Wesley: “Yes, altogether.”
Charles Simeon: “And is all your hope in the grace and mercy of God to preserve you unto his heavenly kingdom?”
John Wesley: “Yes, I have no hope but in him.”
Charles Simeon: “Then, Sir, with your leave I will put up my dagger again; for this is all my Calvinism; this is my election, my justification by faith, my final perseverance: it is in substance all that I hold, and as I hold it; and therefore, if you please, instead of searching out terms and phrases to be a ground of contention between us, we will cordially unite in those things wherein we agree.

@@logosnomos3794believes another gospel? What gospel is that. As far as I knew, Jesus dying and rising again is the good news. That is the gospel to be preached. What do you share with the lost and suffering in this world? Do you share put your faith in Christ, or do you tell them it doesn't matter what you do, its up to God? That of course would undermine the very act of love on the cross for all.
You want to understand scripture with human wisdom, and you miss the heart of God, just as the Pharisees did. I pray your comments aren't a stumbling block to those seeking truth. Calling a brother, who sure, isn't without his own issues, but calling him an apostate but he disagrees with your hope destroying heady doctrine. Wow.

@@rickhuntling7338God does not decree our every thought and deed, as you can see in Jeremiah 19:5. We’re made in the image of God, and therefore we have agency and a capacity to make decisions. John 20:31. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
Romans 8:30 is not talking about Salvation. Salvation comes by believing in Jesus Christ. Not through an election lottery, that you were lucky enough to win.

    • @BPond7
      @BPond7 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@rickhuntling7338 Romans 8:30 is talking about discipleship, not salvation. You are saved through Christ, not through election, before Christ ever walked the Earth. Let me clear something else up, right away, and I would ask you to dispense with the Calvinist gaslighting. I didn’t decide to save myself. I decided to put my trust and faith in The Lord, so that He would save me from Hell. God called, through The Bible, and I answered. God implores us no less than 85 separate times to seek Him out, throughout The Old and New Testaments.
Why would God command us to do something He made us unable to do? What is your answer? If I have no free will, then these word are God’s, not mine. For He, according to Calvinism, decrees my every thought and deed. Furthermore, if you have no free will, then your arguments aren’t borne of reason, logic, or a grasp of anything beyond your programming. Why should I listen to the words of someone who can’t think for himself? That’s an atheist’s argument.
You DO have a will of your own. You act as if you do, and you speak as if you do. So do the math on that one. God doesn’t create children for the sole purpose of occupying Hell. He desires that all men be saved. All. Not some. All.

Man: i have no change in my purse
Technicaly he is right because he has he has only paper money in his pocket.
I was grown up between calvinist and catholics.
      I am convinced catholic. Why?
Calvinism ruined the best of the best inheritanced music ever written in history:
      From the catholic church.
The best composers , musicians woring dedicating themselver for God.
Bach was lutheran. But not in a calvinistic envirement. He never wrote an opera like catholic composers do.
Calvinistic psalms go back to : only the word . Like in islamic doctrine. Fine music. Beautifull women beauty specialy in opera is a sin. It distrackts you from the word. :
So calvinist and muslim men are weak and have to be protected from these evil women. Ugly cloth. No perfume. No make up. Pretending God said this.

      @Yasen.Dobrev 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

@fborregoATBeyer Hello. I am Orthodox. First it must be said that faith comes by synergy with God's grace and the consent of human free will. God’s graceworks in the coming to believe - God’s grace that calls man to believe in God and precedes his free will’s consent to the calling:,,No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.“ (John 6:44); ,,And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:“ (Acts 18:27).
And that the calling is freely accepted or rejected is evident from Luke 7:29-30:,,And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John. 30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him."
Therefore grace is not irresistible. So even when one comes to believe, this is a result of synergy with God's grace. That synergy is with His grace in its sense of energy, operation, active power. Romans 1:20 say:,,For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" Here His power refers to His uncreated energy and His Godhead refers to His essence.

This is everything I have come to believe after wrestling with Calvinism and every other system but could never put succinctly as Sam does here. Many say he is arrogant but I see that in order to confront Calvinism he must meet it in the same ground as the arrogance found in every Calvinist I have ever known. This was a profound and faith-centering experience for me to watch this talk! God is using Sam to bring to light the middle way, the narrow road Jesus speaks about and few be that find it. He’s spot on when he says we must give up the traditions of man for the sake of exegesis of the Word of God!! Lord Jesus, reveal Your Truth to all those who diligently seek You! Holy Spirit we believe that You will lead us to ALL TRUTH just as scripture has said, as long as we let You have your way!! Lord , in me, let it only be Your wisdom, discernment and understanding without any doctrines or man or traditions of the church!! Amen!! love the exsample of how problems arise when someone held more to his personal theology then the Scripture and by defolt by the Holy Church.(because as orthodox we belive thet the scripture is made IN and FOR the Church)

He’s more leaning towards Catholicism. Although not being Catholic.
I love Catholic teaching to an extent. As it does get a bit liberal in modern times. (Theistic evolution, there was death before the fall, denying Bible being perfect, all religions believe in the same God)
So I mainly learn from the orthodox tradition and read the apostolic in a palamite tradition

Sam this video is a blessing. And with a heart and mind for Christ like yours, a proper video setting makes a huge difference.
