The T34 sprue, for those interested, CAN build all three turrets (T34/76 early and mid-war as well as the T34/85) but only has two pins to mount it to the hull. In addition, the early turret and the later hexagonal turret use the same barrel. Magnets fix the pin issue, and one of the many spare barrels can be carefully trimmed down to be a replacement without too much difficulty. The SU-85 and SU-100 kit uses the same track sprue as the T34, so that MASSIVE barrel is from the 100mm SU-100!
Good review and chat, not impressed with the product at all, looks like a bunch of random old tanks kits and old rules they had knocking around the warehouse jammed in a box and sold as "Stalingrad", one of the largest infantry battles of the war duh!
Oh for sure... it is aimed at total beginners. With a rukebook, tokens cardboard scenery etc... you really can get started for £20 using a third party store. For anyone with an existing collection, it is largely useless I grant you.
You guys are fun to watch. The historical facts, design insight and stories for the tanks absolutely made this video for me! 🤙
We try to add a bit of history rather than just open the box - enough other people already do that...

I understand Battlefront wishing to push the easier entry via tank forces, it seems like a missed opportunity not to make this a Kursk set.
@@MisterCrowely from a modelling perspective too I think. 5 tanks is a very different proposition to 100 dudes to build and paint.
