    Professional painters can appreciate how effective this actually was... I professionally painted for years and around several great painters and can appreciate the very inexpensive results here and the ease involved...thumbs up on this one for sure!

    2k clear please. For those of us looking to have a longer lasting coat.
    I think warming the cans prior to laying a cost down will help with reducing the orange peel effect. The prep is obviously the biggest factor in getting a decent job with spray cans.
    It will. Always come down to time spent before and after with the rattle can job. But you can achieve a good paint job.
    The 2k clear will help it last, but again you're going to have to put the work in to make it smooth and presentable.
    Thank you for taking the time to put this video together.

      I use to do rattle can paint jobs on my 52 ford pickup. Back when we had truck auto paint in cans. No clear coat required fan spray like a paint gun and only 4.99 a can. Last for years. Aw the good old days

    Thank you for sharing. I want to learn to paint so bad. I'm a Disabled Vet. and I would really love to be able to supplement my (embarrassingly low income LOL) by painting I have been into cars since I was a teen and here I am now at 52 years old and still have a genuine interest in cars and racing Ive built drag cars and raced them My disability will not affect my ability to do the job I hope The only way to know for sure is to just try. I'm sure I would be much slower than most people but I don't see that as a bad thing. I mean to be able to step back and look at your project and know that I took this car from basically a piece of crap to something you can really be proud of. I mean the satisfaction you must feel from a job well done is a feeling I have not felt in a very long time. Again Thank you for sharing your gift with us

    I've used this on my hunting truck and a couple of friend's hunting vehicles also...my nickels worth of free advice..two coats,with the first coat being very light with only a 25% overlay..second coat a little heavier(walking the vehicle) with at least 50% overlay(no more than 16 inches away either coat..just slow your walk a little on the second).Leaves very little "orange peel" or runs. Those Turbo cans really dump it out! lol On my truck I did do a good sanding first and "pre painted" the gaps and hard to reach areas with a regular spray can because those areas tend to run with the Turbos,due to paint build up.I only wish RustoLeum made it in more colors! (I do have painting experience from my younger years)

      @@ACDesignsGarage in my experience the 2nd coat problems normally are due to the time between coats. Either painting the 2 coat too soon or waiting too long. If doing it the same day. My best pain job, I waited 7-10 day between each coat . Project took a month 3 coats and a gloss coat.

      Thank you!!! I would probably sand it down with 80 grit till there are no flaks and rust. Then get you some direct to metal epoxy primer, as soon as that tacs put 3 coats of high build primer and let that dry. Then block it with 180 till flat then 320 grit , then finish up with 400 wet then paint. She'll look like glass lol

    • @ACDesignsGarage
      @ACDesignsGarage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That may be a little coarse its like 350 grit, I would suggest 600 to 800 if your just shooting clear, if your shooting a solid color base then clear you can use the red scotch brite. If you have a pratice place to do it try it out, it may work, im just not 100% positive!!!

    • @ACDesignsGarage
      @ACDesignsGarage  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thats a great idea, I think im gonna wet sand and buff this week and clear it next week. Ive been thinking that the reason it peeled so bad was the pressure must of dropped a little because it was running out of paint. Usually if you let it tac up and spray with normal cans the second coat looks a good as the first. What ive found that causes peel is low pressure and too much fluid!!
