How to Prevent Mis-Clicking of Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Back Paddles

- The activation pressure of the Xbox Elite 2 controller is a bit too weak, which may cause many mis-clicking. With the eXtremeRate Xbox Elite 2 back paddles enhancement kit, the press-down pressure of the back paddles will be increased double, mis-clicking issue will be reduced, and personally, the press feedback is much better.

Just installed. I like the clickiness of the paddles now 👍🏽 $10 kit save me $170.
Installed these today and they worked to fix my paddles not clicking when pressed. Super slick $15 fix

Disclaimer - I used an iFixit Torq Screwdriver set.
First off, I really love the more well defined feedback you get from this! I would like to add though that for me personally (again, I used an iFixit set) - the tolerances for the interior paddle module areas were more like a T3, and not a T4. Overall simple but effective product :)
Got an Elite Series 2 recently and it's one of the things I noticed that about 1/10 presses of the top right paddle don't register (that just happens to be the one I noticed it on because I use it the most). It happens the most when I press it quickly and I get feedback of the click but I think the contact doesn't reach the pad on the board. They definitely needed higher activation pressure to prevent this because you can press the switch down without it reaching the actual physical contact.
Just did this to my controller. the paddles feel so much better and work better too.
are you guys looking into making clicky triggers,bumpers and or buttons for the elite series 2?! the elite 2 is a super faulty controller but the design itself is pristine
Replace the rb/lb with tactile switches from the original Xbox series board, or buy replacements online. The switch’s are lower quality used in the elite 2. Why Microsoft decided to cheap out on an almost $200 controller is beyond me.
I bet this will fix all the back paddle issues people are having as well since most of the time you just have you add a thin piece of tape to the little black piece inside of the controller that the paddle presses on, and that will fix the issue. Definitely buying to test this out

@@nitsuJxSan Yupp! Fixed 3 of the 4 elite series 2 controllers I had. The 4th one I had to ad a bit of tape to the little plastic buttons to make it work. But other than that I was very impressed

So bought these and totally worth the money. Not sure why the give u 2 sets but who complaining about more for ur money. The click after the install is so good and easy if u know the elite 2 like I do

I did the same thing but instead with a piece of aluminum foil all folded up until its just a thin square. but this look more cleaner

anyone else miss when you didn't have to lever the crap out of these things to get them apart? I guess screw holes are ugly but I miss just being able to easily take controllers apart with just a screwdriver and without scuffing the fuck out of them from all the prying and shoving things in the gaps around the edges. There's just nothing you can do to prevent the edges getting all chewed up because it requires so much force to get in there.
Will you guys be making rear shells for the elite series 2? My stock shell is built really flimsy and has begun cracking, despite never having dropped it, and i would love to replace the shell, but there are no replacements
We are working on it, but without rubber grip like the front shell from us

Yeah! I was hoping there would be a rear shell soon, no rubber grips sounds awesome! We can always install aftermarket side grips anywhom. :)
Would these help with the p1/p3 paddles needing more pressure to click? When I put the bigger paddles in their spot, they click. The small paddles don’t seem to have enough clearance. Thanks!

@@thomyboy3219 yep. The buttons just don’t protrude out enough - a tiny square of electrical tape on top the buttons fixed it. It’s a jankass fix but it’s worked and kept on working.
@Extremerate Could you make a device that could stop miss clicks on the paddles for the DualSense edge?

Do someone tried to install mouseclicks into elite series 2, bumpers and triggers?
My Y paddle is not stuck fysically but my controller reads it as Y lower right paddle is stuck? I even tried removing the tight electric board and still it just say the button is stuck. Any ideas why???
Do you mean after you install this kit and this issue happened? If so, please remove the kit and then stick it again with the spare one
@@ExtremeRate no, I just mean out of the blue even though I don't use paddles the controller check show me the lower right is pressed. The button is unused and I even removed the circuit board toncheck and even when no circuit board and no buttons it still show it's pressed. It's totally removed. Tried even downgrade controller. Still it's pressed. Must Be a software glitch? Plz help

My Elite 2 box says Model: 1797, 1924. Is it compatible with this kit?
I bought the kit. It was compatible. The hardest part is definitely getting the faceplate off. It fixed my left paddles only registering about 80% of my inputs. The click of each press of the paddle is so satisfying now. Better than it was brand new. Thank you so much. I dont have to buy a new controller now.

yep i use a tool for a car to take it off bigger so much easier
the plastic tool given to you is a pos ...its utter shite at taking off the faceplate. And mine is bloody in there tight.
