Ok but fr you're a real one for pairing gameplay footage w/ the ost. It's a fun visual, and is useful for figuring out when the song plays in the game.
Thanks! I do it because I don't like watching an ost video that doesn't tell you the name of the song. I also think that the music can be appreciated better if you can see the context.

I haven’t played the games for the last two soundtracks you’ve remastered, but I will make an effort to. Good OST’s go a long way to making a game good in my eyes, (and ears).
You know songs from the newer Kirby games are fire. But there's just something with Kirby music from Planet Robobot and going to the older generations of Kirby music that got hits that just straight up get me dancing happily to the tunes. Miss that music style a bit in the newest game lol. And especially Kirby 64 gets me dancing since it just has that 90's vibe that is unforgettable
This is the last n64 game i played which was rented from a local store and on the day of my parents and i moving was the last thing i had in my room. I had to return it early and never got to the end. That sticks with me.
Holy crap... This is the best Miracle Matter i've ever heard... It's amazing... I love the song so much, and to hear it like this is... whew. (also Ripple Star castle). Thank you!
I'd say the sound of Miracle Matter's attacks add another layer of, I'm not sure what the word is, depth? to the song. To hear the song without the ice crystals or electricity bouncing all over the place feels slightly empty. Not at all saying it isn't a good track. I fell asleep listening to this ost, such beautiful memories and I was at such peace.
Great video, loved how you remastered it, my favourite kirby game, so much style and personality it has. Also you can remove 02 wings? WHAT?? my mind is blown

I like how people are saying that kirby and the forgotten land is the first fully 3d kirby game since kirby 64: the crystal shards. But from what I am seeing, THIS ISN'T 3D KIRBY!!! this is 2.5D kirby. a 3D area with a 2d level. the increase in audio quality makes hearing 02 theme a lot easier. good job.
I found my jam to listen to on plane rides! I did that when returning home from California in May. Hands down one of my top 10 OSTs of all time! My favorite songs as they appear in order are: Training Pop Star King Dedede's Castle Rock Star Map Rock Star Ruins/Underwater Neo Star Map Shiver Star Above the Clouds Vs. Boss Ripple Star Castle Miracle Matter Vs. 02 All the Mini Game themes Invincibility
I wish kirby would go back to the "Dreamland" style abilities instead of the "Super Star" style. What I mean is, in the Dreamland games, 64 being one of them, Kirby BECOMES the ability. In Super Star and many games following, Kirby just wears a hat and gets powers. I'm tired of the hats.
Is there any chance you can upload these tracks individually? I would love to add a lot of these to my playlist but without having to skip through the video to reach specific songs.
I've had to choose between making new content or splitting my old content into separate videos. As much as I know people would like me to split the remasters up into individual videos, it would be an immense amount of work. Work that would probably really burn me out. In short, I'm sorry but it will probably never happen. I really do thank you for listening to my content though. If you want to listen to the music individually, I do offer downloads of all of the remastered music through my Patreon.
I've noticed something... The File Select theme sounds way too similar to The Fairy Fountain / File Select from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
I like how you do a full playthrough of Kirby 64 but I barely see any of it because I'm listening through TH-cam music with my phone screen turned off usually while driving
Thank you! The next remaster is the biggest yet, HOLLOW KNIGHT. It's been a beast. I've contemplated doing Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie. I absolutely LOVE both of those soundtracks, but it being a perfectionist, I would need to remaster all the different alternate versions of each song. For example, Mayahem Temple would have the normal, kickball, underwater, golden temple, and more and more versions. Either one would absolutely be a crazy amount of work. But I do want to do it someday. And Donkey Kong 64!
on 1:04:19 until 1:04:24 you can hear the "kick"(i think? not sure what I should describe it as) cycle through right and left ear. Really, try listening to it first with only the left part of the headphone and after that only the right, then both at once. The composers had literally NO REASON to do that, seeing as you'd play that on a TV, but they did it anyway.
That stereo effect in-game is a lot less pronounced than it is in this remaster. The literal first process I do when remastering music for these videos is to essentially pull the left and right audio channels apart. This makes the audio a lot clearer and gives more of a "surround sound" feeling to music that is simply stereo. However, the effect you're hearing IS present in the original audio, so the composers were intentionally doing that. If a sound is not at least slightly in one ear more than the other, my process wouldn't do anything.
@@ego-lay_atman-bay I know they have stereo sounds, but the room you'd be in + the distance you'd be away from the tv + the fact that you're not focused on the song makes it imperceptible
Thank you for this! I’d give anything to go back to the mixed copy abilities. And the fixed camera of modern Kirby games was an unnecessary regression from this style until forgotten land.
Its easy to forget how unwritten the rules were for 3D games back then. I agree that 2.5 D was a disappointment but I can easily see the Devs struggle to translate what made 2D Kirby great into a 3D experience. Imagine coding 36 copy power combos into your first 3D game, and trying to balance them with a dimension you've never coded in before.
I know that track 02 from the sound test was a track that doesn't play in the actual game aside from being in the sound test, so I left that one out intentionally. I'm not sure what 61 and 62 would be though.

am I crazy or it seems like that the file select track took a little bit of inspiration from the "Great Fairy Fountain"?
I only now noticed how the ribbon shard power sound makes up some of the rhythm of Zero Two's theme. It's so subtle.
We can all agree Kirby 64 has by far one of the best OSTs in the Kirby saga. And this remaster? DAMN if it has quality, it's so good!
