What made this campaign stick out for me was the voice-acting for the cutscenes. The acting in this game is fantastic by any games standards not just CODs'. Reyes' actor in particular has such emotion and is so believable.
Well I mean, they have an all star A list Hollywood cast for the voice actors. The amount of money they probably spent on just the voice actors is probably just a staggering amount in of its self.
Been years since this was released, and still in my opinion it honestly is one of the greatest campaigns I think I ever played. Incredible and compelling story, terrific characters that had me caring about all of them, having their fleet destroyed and having to attack the SDF with only two ships until Tigris was lost.... just amazing. I never expected when I started It would have been so good, but good lord. Replayed so many times over and over and would still replay it to this day
Revisiting this, this might be the most under-appreciated story mode in the franchise. Some truly haunting and powerful storytelling that they did with little setup and little recognition. Not gonna comment on multiplayer, but I remember I loved the campaign and seeing the games since, it’s truly a shame this didn’t get the hype it deserved at the time.
Same for me, I absolutely loved the campaign and have already played through the entire game about 5times. I can remember most dialogues now and just voiceover them while playing the game again.
The story is fairly good but what I don’t get is by Reyes actions he causes more crew and soldiers to die protecting him when he should be on the bridge of the ret. I get it’s a fps but I don’t think any commander would be running around doing marine shit no matter how much they wanted to. A good leader sacrifices himself for his crew not the other way around. Small thing but why is a pilot being a marine he is trained to fly in combat not fight in ground combat. Small thing but yeah for the most part I agree
Ethan is the best comrade I’ve seen in all of the COD series outside of Ghost and Soap. He threw a car away from Reyes and got him to safety, always had his back as well.
This game has one of the best campaigns in Call of Duty history. Its a shame that the game got so much hate - the Multiplayer probably deserved the hate, but the campaign was so amazing. Its sad we'll never get a sequel to this.
Genuinely some of my favorite dialogue in cod. Made me feel for the characters, and the military lingo really sold it. To me it's up there with the greats

Best COD story mode, hands down. Branching story, side missions, arial and space combat that is surprisingly good. Most underrated COD to date. Multiplayer did suck though.
I don't think its as good as World At War, Black Ops 1 and 2, and the Modern Warfare trilogy but Infinite Warfare is still damn good. I don't think Advanced Warfare and WW2 are bad either
Damn right you do. I know of a story when Rock apes (RAF Regiment) were happy being the big dogs in town.....until a troop of Royal Marines turned up on an exercise..... the town got very quiet and peaceful all of a sudden, even the local scumbags who thought they had big balls rapidly learned they have very tiny pussy balls. Don't argue with Marines or Commando's..... the Police of the town had the quietest 2 months of their lives......
Honestly, I wish they'll some day continue this sub-series. This setting is interesting and quite innovative and fresh. WWII, however you put it, is done to death.
@@almightysamwhich4203yeah I’d totally play a sequel with her as the main character. They destroyed the shipyard but SDF as a whole still might be active.
What Omar said and asked to Ethan "As far as Ethan goes - I will personally vouch for this stiff metal mfer. He's one of us. Ethan what's Navy's official policy for a gun fight? Send in the Marines! That's for you Captain *as he laughs*." Now that was just golden 😂 Navy and Marines 24/7 make fun of each other on/for gunfights LMAO
This is one of the best stories I've seen. I'd like to see more stories like this in a space/colonization setting. Now the multiplayer is old for me....same stuff over and over. But they really got this story right.....I want more :)
Tb Destiny is set in the real far future, with all alien and magic stuff. People just want a sci-fi game set in early space colonization. Like Titanfall.
you should take a look at star citizen, if you like this youll like SC, youll have the freedom to be a on foot or on spaceship, you could be a miner, trader or be part of the military. its literlaly a whole new universe
This game is an example of what happens when you throw a planetary advanced sci-fi game to a bunch of kids who only knows how to watch Niki Minaj twerk - They won't appreciate it.
Calling others a bunch of kids while having "bruce wayne" as username? Do you even understand the context of the story? *Generations* have gone and settled in the other planets and all the earth-army/navy does is suck up their resources and mass murder them. Think about the *thousands* of people on the megacarriers that Reyes just destroyed with a push of a button. Do you understand what type of alienation, desperation, frustration and anger have to be built up for the settlers to form Settlement *Defence* Force and strike back at Earth in suicide missions? Reyes and UNSA may be the protagonists, but they are *not* the good guys.
@@iwatchwithnoads7480 you are why siblings of the opposite sex do not share a bed past puberty, the females will tend to squeeze out something like you.
@@iwatchwithnoads7480 I mean...but did they really have to make SDF the cliche bad “we will kill you and eat your children” type of bad guy? They could have added depth into it, in any speech they could have said or explained why SDF hate earth so much, add bits of gray into the black and white that was this game, instead of ya know “lol we nazi we hate earth bla bla bla”. Game isn’t bad, but story really could have been better, not bad, just, could have been better
??? cod used to be known for campaign, however that isnt the case anymore, just look at the black ops 3 and ww2 campaign, lmao they were shit. Its understandable why people hate infinite warfare, the multiplayer and zombies was quite possibly the worst out of the series, it was so bad it shouldnt even count. Whats left is the campaign, i will admit the campaign was phenomenal but $60 for a 6-8 campaign?????????
Amirul Faisal so you’re telling me you would rather pay $60 for a 7 hour max campaign that was infinite warfare instead of paying $60 for the best multiplayer/zombies experience cod has(which has no hour limit), and if those two weren’t enough you also have blackout. Note: I’m not sure if you’re aware of how shitty the bo3 campaign was and if I had to choose between bo4’s likely also shitty campaign and blackout, the answer is quite obvious.
Yume yeah I can agree WW2 was awful. However you have a fact completely wrong, the server refresh rate of IW is the same as BO4 and dude idk how you’re gonna say that IW has the smoothest movement like wtf my guy. It looks like 2008 game in terms of fluid animation.
Here is 100% proof that CoD stole from Halo Halo's central command = UNSC (United Nations Space Command) Listen VERY closely to the intercom when they are going up the stairs at 13:16, and you can hear them announcing a UNSC vessel flying in. Fartron Gaming he says "UNSA". i have this game and that is what appears with subs on. also what's "all the other stuff"? is there a part i missed about an alien faction trying to wipe out humanity by using humans to activate a device made by ancient proto-human aliens?

I just don't understand all the hate this game received, even before its release. People already decided they hated it before it came out, and stubborn as they are, stuck to that idea... but from what I'm seeing in the game movie (I'm about halfway through), it's an awesome game! Solid story, good acting, more character development than you could hope for in a first person shooter, lots of epic, breath-taking moments and all this sci-fi that, in my oppinion, doesn't ruin the game at all, but makes it even better! People complain because the CoD-series is going further and further into the future, but what's the alternative? Stay in the Modern Warfare setting forever? People would complain about the series being too repetitive if the developers did that. So they did the one logic thing that would save the franchise, and I think it worked perfectly. I'm enjoying this video as much as I would enjoy an actual movie.
Gui Caldo it feels like a more naval based version of Halo. It's concepts are very similar to insurrectionists and civil war in Halo. Its a Halo for people who dont care about the lore.
we were given this gold and throw it away because of jetpacks and robots and space. we asked for 'BOOTS ON THE GROUNDS', we got 'BOOT STEPPING ON A SHIT' instead.
A damn shame the multiply got shit, the story was amazing, one of the few times I cried at a game. Amazing characters, beautiful interactions and even the scenes are beautiful.
why are there so many dislikes...this is excellent work from GLP as always. if you wanna hate on cod, don't dislike the video because of it, GLP has nothing to do with COD
whether the game is knock off of anything is besides the point here, GLP did good work compiling this shit and should be recognized for it...not downvoted because of someone's opinion of the game itself

Visually this game is amazing that whole sequence at 1:12:15 was incredible, felt like an actual movie. thanks for uploading this and especially as fast as you did
Well, it was a CG movie =)) Actual game looks waaaaay worse. When you control your character, the models have minimum details. They use separate models for cutscenes and of course CGI's.
Ilyich even with it being CGI the way the shots were set up felt like a movie, like the moment the plane (or whatever they called it) dropped the camera angle shook a little bit as if it was a real camera. then the view from below when they dropped transitioning to the rain drops on the glass and when they leveled the plane out the framing with back drop looked great, I'm a bit of a film/video nerd so little details like this get me excited. all I'm saying is I've seen plenty of CGI but this was done properly in my opinion
Good lord, there is no point in thumbs downing someone's labouriously crafted content just because it's trendy to dislike CoD. Show some respect to GLP, people, sheesh.
its because it sucks ass not because its a "trend", we are disliking because we dont like the way cod is going, we want the game to be good like it was before.
Mate, Modern Warfare was good, but it got stale after MW2. With IW, at least they tried going in another direction, instead of doing another reskinned MW with new guns. IW's downfall was editorial interference.
people didnt hate the game you silly billy, they thumbs downed it because of deluxe edition that had MW remastered and only way to aquire it you had to buy Infinite warfare. game itself is good shooter but people were hyped for MW1 remake and they were enraged by business plan from Activision.
it was good but i think it will be forgettable. Honestly it was too much like Independence day 2 except for the ending. hey at least it was a different story plot, instead of having one of the characters you play survive till the ending. but , honestly I think battlefield won the competition.
in the campaign comparison between BF1 and COD:IW, BF1 wins hands down. Story wise it was pretty solid, though did fall short mechanically. COD hasn't made an interesting campaign since MW3, and even that is debatable. It doesn't take "hype glasses" recognize a shitty aspect of a game
I find it awkward that they have giant space ships, AI marine robots, yet no longer have the super futuristic medical advances, bio-mechatronics, clones / brain backup, genetically engineered people and nano technology to go with it. I still enjoy seeing the different planets and space battles though. Seeing people bleed out, or run out of oxygen is still disturbing, you figure that far into the future, people would be engineered to fight in those conditions. Nanites, cybernetics, and etc.
Wukong TheMonkeyKing Impossible as it sounds, the devs were trying to make Infinite Warfare more realistic so they stuck to things that are realistically possible when the game takes place. Of course they re-used a bunch of game assets (Mostly personal weapons) so that made it a bit harder for me to go for.
The storyline is still pretty "Meh", if this wasnt a game and was an actual movie, i could see this having 66% on RT, maybe 72% if critics are generous
I do feel like when the Retribution crew took control of the Olympus, they could've used it in battle to better effect. They should just fly in, wreck some shit, then jump as soon as their ammo ran dry to refuel and repair. Do what Kotch did. But instead the greatest weapon in the game gets wrecked as soon as they use it.
The whole campaign takes place in less than 48 whole hours iirc, maybe even 24. Most UNSA Installations have been taken, destroyed, or disputed. So i believe the idea of refueling and reloading the mons was out of question. There is an optional mission in the game to finally end the battle for the UNSA shipyards. But those installations would remain out of commission for the remaining portion of the conflict. Thats the reason the retribution literally had no time to rest. The whole campaign is sortie after sortie. Back to back to back. Not saying they couldve taken more appropriate caution when it comes to their remaining resources, but the reason why they had to strike fast and committed was because production time for warships is implied to be rapid. This is confirmed by the UNSA’s own ability to start rebuilding their fleet only hours following its destruction by the recapture of a supply checkpoint on the moon.
@@pablojosediablo I get the Retribution didn't have time to rest, but I was referring to more or less the final attack on the Mars installation with the Olympus Mons. The crew literally has the greatest weapon of the enemy and had full ability to use it against them, yet they wasted it in a single, do or die charge. I feel like they could've done that attack better. Jump in, fire off several shots to annihilate half the fleet, then run like hell, recharge, then jump back in again. And if they are rebuilding their fleet, then surely there would be a place to get the Olympus Mons recharged and refilled too.
@@TheWriteFiction i think the issue was more one of crew.. a ship like that needs hundreds of people to operate. the boarding team only had at best a few dozen. there just wasn't enough manpower to actually oversee and run the systems for any kind of prolonged fight. especially since the ship was damaged in the boarding. the boarding team not only was too small to be able to do damage control, but was all the wrong specialties too. understaffed as it was, it is amazing they were able to even pull off a do or die charge.
@@TheWriteFiction this player got 6 kills before the gun was knocked offline, on a ship that was not cleared of enemy personnel. As a general observation if you put a person under a bit of pressure they're likely to choose an all-in tactic, without first deliberating. Reyes was not any random soldier but his choices to me at least are believable. And before the story ends Reyes completes his character arc as the hero-captain of Earth who finally understands the burden of leadership.
Most people that talk shit have no idea how hard it is to make a game like this. This team went far beyond the next level to show how games can be made for today. This fast pace ride was akin to a high budget movie. If your only argument is that its not like the original series, than your probably also the type that would trash talk them if they did and say " it's not original, and they just remade the same game". The character models, environment, lighting, sound fx, textures and animations are top notch. They deserve a huge applause and recognition for their achievements made in this game. I speak for the single player campaign as it went well far beyond what anybody in the industry could strive for. Maybe it would have been received better if it wasn't associated with the COD franchise. As a newly Game Dev graduate I can personally tell you that I would have been more than proud to be on this team. You truly have no idea how hard it is to put something like this together. The negative comments are a kick to the balls, as I don't know how they could have worked harder or to make it better. If you think you can do better, then start learning and you'll see. If some of your grips are game play mechanics, well than your more than welcome to add constructive criticism on how it could improve. Don't forget that many game devs are not in control of the full process and the people with the money set the rules. At least give credit were credit is due. I think that with all the negativity from the original trailer has salted many views and that is just ignorance. I encourage you to learn about the game making process, their are tons of free software and tutorials out there.
yup we most likely would complain even if it they would come and say "its not the same as the original" and with a good reason.:if your about to make a whole new game that dosent even try to be the same is the original is then its not the same game anymore. call of duty started off as WWII game and the best at the time. today the only thing in common the COD games have in common with what it use to be is the name of the franchize that being used only for the sake of marketing. the games have nothing in common and should be called COD
In reality we have had only 3 futuristic Call of duty's ( black ops 2 was not that futuristic and neither was ghosts. People say these games have robots but they are not robots, they are drones which are different. People also got tired of WW2, world at war was not that well received. You also got to remember that one this game was in development people were okay with the future, by the time they the hate for the future came, They could not turn back, so cut infinity ward some slack.
the fact that they even have 3 futuruistic is still enough to make my point valid. and besides its goes to Mw way the future stuff (i enjoyed MW but its just wasent the same) and how people tired of WWII is contracditcting everything i said. i dont mind Future warfare games, i love Sifi. but its shouldent comeout under the title of COD. its like 1998 godzila got nothing to do with the actual godzila
+ZephrusPrime I feel ya man. People think I'm crazy when I tell them that hours and hours of hard work and passion went into making this game. Good to see a logical human being on the internet. Infinite Warfare gets so much unwarranted and idiotic hate. It is such a great game. Very good. I personally would love to see a sequel.
That's exactly what I think because it's just like big youtubers are tainting people's minds and saying oh infinite warfare is bad cod ghosts is bad but I played them and I enjoyed the feel and connection with other characters that's something that they worked hard on and if you don't like it then you can just make your own game then or just not play it
This is actually amazing. Story wise at least. I actually cared for almost everyone on the Retribution. Hell even for Ferran and the Tigris. Damn I feel kinda sad for the people who died in this... One of the best CoD stories for me just for the fresh like-able characters! Edit: This coment is my first to be actually getting so much attention. And I get notified about it only jsut now? TH-cam, get your shit together! And ofc, thanks for all the lieks guys. Never expected to be one of the cool kids to get that many :D
I think because they called it "Call of Duty" and it appeared trying to pander to the Halo fans. Had this just been named 'Mars Aterna" or something not related to CoD, people would have loved it
Also, changes to the game and antagonist; Let the player make upgrades to retribution and have some counter telling how much materials earth has to rebuild her ships. For the SDF, make it function as separate terror cells that generally are plagued by infighting, which explains why they never attacked earth before. Evil Jon Snow is the charismatic leader that united the SDF cells and the brains Behind Olympus mons. Also, changes to SATO, name it something else like the Solar Navy. And honestly, don't make it operate like the American military. Yes I know it's the primary audience, but the Solar Navy is supposedly an installer military with troops from all over the world, and beyond, I doubt it's marines would be a carbon copy of the USMC
This is without a doubt the best COD campaign and best game I have ever played. I've been playing since MW2, this is the only video game to make me cry at the end😢👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
The fuck are you talking about. The villains were crap lacking any sort of depth, the protagonists too. The story was shit. I hope to god the gameplay was.
Admiral “it’s been 18 hours since a weapons testing lab was ransacked” Captain “ what’s our move?” Admiral “ well literally all our spaceships are gathered around us for a parade, why don’t you watch from a dropship” Captain “jeez I wonder what’s about to happen?”
I hate that logic too. Not even a small defensive force on stand-by to engage the fleet? The Altis hacking is a bit impossible to prevent if you have such a deep sleeper cell active but they should've known better to not post so many ships in such a small area.
I love how Ethan just came online or this was his first battle but they treated him like they knew him forever and that they had been through many fights together
I love the little bit of fun the devs had with this part. You're in a fighter. You see a larger ship that you are a part of the crew of, you take off from the ground, you see it in front of you....and then it's moving away. They're talking about going after them, and the average gamer would assume they were going to link up with the larger ship. You see the SDF ships in the background leaving atmosphere, but it's not clear exactly what is going on. And then.... "SCARS, fold in, we're going upstairs" and a "Prime your Jackal" prompt....the whole thing is epic, and the score and sound design are great. This game was a capital-G Game.
OPX AJ BT didn’t exactly die his core survived the explosion and in the end credits you can see jacks helmet light up and that’s binary for “Jack” so I hope there’s a new BT model in the next game
@@tf_unicrxnx7886 have you played specialist yet on this game? Because it's basically the real life of this game mode when you get shot you heal yourself by using nano shots and I don't think you are gonna no hit this mission:black flag
I loved that Salt survived this. They also didn't make a big deal out of her survival, just a quick acknowledgment that she was continuing on the fight after Nick was gone. This deserved to be its own series, instead we got more black ops with a convoluted cold war plot that never made any sense to me. Would have loved to see what happened after the SDF shipyard was destroyed.
As far as multiplayer, I'm not much of a CoD fan. But hell, their solo campaigns just put you inside a bad-ass action movie. Say what you will about scripted gameplay, this looks freekin awesome.
What is it with robots having far more distinct personalities than humans in sci if video games? Marvin from titanfall, pathfinder from apex, and Ethan from this game. Absolutely love it
This was the most bang for your buck you'll ever get from a call of duty game.... Really reminded me of Halo, but playing as a regular soldier instead or Master Cheif. One of my all time favorite games to date
I know this game has had a different references, however one of them was to one of their own franchises: CoD Modern Warfare 1:28:14 "Fair winds 141" Taskforce 141
'[...] it has just strayed so far from the Call of Duty origins that it didn't make sense having the COD title anymore.' Am I the only one to have foreseen that since Black Ops II entered into the near-future?
I think people saw it coming, but didn't know they would take it this far. I mean Black Ops 2 still was boots on the ground, and was massively popular. For me personally it's in my top 2 between BO2 and MW2. Advanced Warfare changed everything
Gamer's Little Playground Well, BO2's futuristic setting did make it less CoD-ish but yeah. Story was decent and gameplay was better than any other (open-ended, non-linear type). Advanced Warfare was the first major departure, but before that, even Ghosts was a harbinger of that change - being the first game based on an entirely fictionalized conflict (I mean, BO & BO2 were based on Cold War, MW series is largely inspired by the real war on terror etc.); and yes, it had a space mission. Let me put my opinion this way, in short - Up until Ghosts, there were historical or modern shooters like CoD, MoH and Battlefield; and Sci-fi ones like Halo and Mass Effect. Now, CoD has shifted to the latter category.
Been a long time since a Call of Duty game made me feel something other than "that was pretty badass." Heartwrenching game at times, actually. I honestly really love this one. Shout out to Titanfall 2 as well. They have a lot in common, (great presentation, emotionally charged storytelling, both have awesome robot companions, great movement system and awesome gun play) and of course it's Infinity Ward vs ex Infinity Ward, but the games feel kinda like brothers instead of rivals to me.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME: You know, about half a year ago on the podcast, we said that we thought that the game didn't look bad at all, but that it has just strayed so far from the Call of Duty origins that it didn't make sense having the COD title anymore. After playing that game I completely stand by that. The game isn't actually that bad. Campaign has some cool space combat missions, nice zero gravity segments, and great gunplay. The setting is pretty bland and boring, and the story won't have that much of a emotional effect on you.I still believe that the right move would have been to release a Modern Warfare Collection this year, with COD 4 being the remastered version and the other 2 being ports. That could have been the COD for this year, and just start a new franchise with Infinite Warfare. Give it a completely different name and I think you got a game that wouldn't be so disparaged. Overall, this doesn't feel like COD, and that will be it's downfall. Will this be the beginning of the end for the entire series? Who knows, people have been saying that since Modern Warfare 3.
Frankly, the older Call of Dutys really stuck by to what the title of the franchise intended for the game to be. The game was originally giving an "experience" of being called into the line of duty, hence "Call of Duty." COD is just so different from that original mentality now, it just doesn't feel like COD anymore.
Some are referring to it as a prequel to the Halo series due to the similarities in some of it's features. Thinking along those lines it isn't that bad(ish)
Did anyone notice how good ole captain refused to send any of his men into harms way the entire game, but in the final battle pretty much told the dude to kamikaze the AA gun?
Imma just put this out there. Ethan is a national treasure in the COD series, and no one can tell me otherwise.
He's up there with bt from titan fall for me.

"You're my brother, Ethan." Man, the feels
@@longan12 this game hit hard right in the heart
The Olympus is literally a “when you unlock the boss as a playable character” meme
lmao
Best COD story mode, hands down. Branching story, side missions, arial and space combat that is surprisingly good. Most underrated COD to date. Multiplayer did suck though.
not the best but very good
Let’s not forget one of the best sounding space cannons the fspar and one of the coldest ships the Olympus mons captained by Jon snow
I don't think its as good as World At War, Black Ops 1 and 2, and the Modern Warfare trilogy but Infinite Warfare is still damn good. I don't think Advanced Warfare and WW2 are bad either
Omar: “Ethan, what’s the Navy’s official policy for a gun fight?”
Ethan: “Send in the Marines.”
Love that line
Always cracks me up.
Oorah!
This game has sooo many puns which are funny
Damn right you do. I know of a story when Rock apes (RAF Regiment) were happy being the big dogs in town.....until a troop of Royal Marines turned up on an exercise..... the town got very quiet and peaceful all of a sudden, even the local scumbags who thought they had big balls rapidly learned they have very tiny pussy balls. Don't argue with Marines or Commando's..... the Police of the town had the quietest 2 months of their lives......
Love it
1:07:28, 1:34:36, 1:55:14 Loved these scenes. They show that FTL accelerations aren't just arbitrary, they have real dangers associated with them.
Like Warhammer, but with less demons.
Also the ship's already super beat-up and is basically being held together with sealant and prayers at this point.
Reyes: No no. You're my brother, Ethan.
Ethan: Your talking robot brother?
Reyes: Affirmative.
Ethan: Yes, well, I am the handsome one, sir.
Is Ethan a deviant?
Honestly same tho
Ethan is god tier
ECP 03 Ethan is my favorite character
*laugh* no doubt
Honestly, I wish they'll some day continue this sub-series. This setting is interesting and quite innovative and fresh. WWII, however you put it, is done to death.
well in 2050 no one will ask for the past game anymore
If we get game based on germans then ww2 would make come back
yes... while I did like ww2, I do like this / advanced warfare more. the devs actually have to create a world and an original story.
Sell whoever made it off to 343 Industries so they can use this setting to make the Interplanetary War.
I mean a trilogy with a 30 hour long campaign I’m in no multiplayer maybe if it’s good.
This story REALLY pulled you in, made you feel for the characters. Disappointed they haven't continued making games like this.

God, the chemistry between this cast is incredible. Ssgt. Omar is one of my favorite video game characters of all time.
I prefer Brooks over Omar, but I still love Omar
Shepheard ADI The Destiny series?
Tb Destiny is set in the real far future, with all alien and magic stuff. People just want a sci-fi game set in early space colonization. Like Titanfall.

Only it looks nothing like Halo. Hell, Halo looks like star trek

Mod it and make it happen!
This is unironically the closest we could get to Halo’s Interplanetary Wars. We just needed a third faction in the mix.
True, this bit of lore just...exists,and this campaign shows it has potential.
Ethan is probably the best character in the whole game

Do you even understand the context of the story? *Generations* have gone and settled in the other planets and all the earth-army/navy does is suck up their resources and mass murder them. Think about the *thousands* of people on the megacarriers that Reyes just destroyed with a push of a button. Do you understand what type of alienation, desperation, frustration and anger have to be built up for the settlers to form Settlement *Defence* Force and strike back at Earth in suicide missions?

crazy how people can shit on this game, them go buy BO4 that doesnt even have a campaign. BO4 is a glorified DLC pack for $60...
??? cod used to be known for campaign, however that isnt the case anymore, just look at the black ops 3 and ww2 campaign, lmao they were shit. @@frostman4152 60$ for a 7-8 hour epic campaign + multiplayer + zombies is a better deal than a glorified BO3 re skin for 80$ lmao
Also i think you made a typo, BO4 is $60, not $80
Yume yeah I can agree WW2 was awful. However you have a fact completely wrong, the server refresh rate of IW is the same as BO4 and dude idk how you’re gonna say that IW has the smoothest movement like wtf my guy. It looks like 2008 game in terms of fluid animation.
If this game was just called "Infinite Warfare", I think it would have gotten a positive response.

I'm enjoying this video as much as I would enjoy an actual movie.
honestly wish more people could see comments like these
Gui Caldo it feels like a more naval based version of Halo. It's concepts are very similar to insurrectionists and civil war in Halo. Its a Halo for people who dont care about the lore.

why are there so many dislikes...this is excellent work from GLP as always. if you wanna hate on cod, don't dislike the video because of it, GLP has nothing to do with COD
Jonathan Yu because the game itself is a knock off of Halo
if it's an space shooter it means they toke that from halo ? this is nothing like halo and I'm a big halo fan .
whether the game is knock off of anything is besides the point here, GLP did good work compiling this shit and should be recognized for it...not downvoted because of someone's opinion of the game itself

Visually this game is amazing that whole sequence at 1:12:15 was incredible, felt like an actual movie. thanks for uploading this and especially as fast as you did
Appreciate you watching bro
Clive Swaby Jr Every game is a movie now ;)
Ilyich especially with GLP hooking it up for us, haha
Good lord, there is no point in thumbs downing someone's labouriously crafted content just because it's trendy to dislike CoD. Show some respect to GLP, people, sheesh.
Rioplats It's not that, it's trendy for COD fanboys to dislike IW.
its because it sucks ass not because its a "trend", we are disliking because we dont like the way cod is going, we want the game to be good like it was before.
Mate, Modern Warfare was good, but it got stale after MW2. With IW, at least they tried going in another direction, instead of doing another reskinned MW with new guns. IW's downfall was editorial interference.
Rioplats yah
people didnt hate the game you silly billy, they thumbs downed it because of deluxe edition that had MW remastered and only way to aquire it you had to buy Infinite warfare. game itself is good shooter but people were hyped for MW1 remake and they were enraged by business plan from Activision.
Easily one of the top 3 stories in the franchise. Excellent characters, Ethan is a gem, and the theme gave you goose bumps. Super underrated
To be honest , it was better than I exspected
it was good but i think it will be forgettable. Honestly it was too much like Independence day 2 except for the ending. hey at least it was a different story plot, instead of having one of the characters you play survive till the ending. but , honestly I think battlefield won the competition.
tbh, not even a competition. BF1 came and won the gold, COD didn't even place...
its fun, for sci fi lover :>
Jackson if you think BF1's campaign was good mechanically and story wise... you need to take off those hype glasses
in the campaign comparison between BF1 and COD:IW, BF1 wins hands down. Story wise it was pretty solid, though did fall short mechanically. COD hasn't made an interesting campaign since MW3, and even that is debatable. It doesn't take "hype glasses" recognize a shitty aspect of a game
If you forget this is a game and just treat it as a sci-fi war movie, it's actually not bad.
Wukong TheMonkeyKing
Impossible as it sounds, the devs were trying to make Infinite Warfare more realistic so they stuck to things that are realistically possible when the game takes place. Of course they re-used a bunch of game assets (Mostly personal weapons) so that made it a bit harder for me to go for.
Ariel Fetters yep you probably right, but I can't forget it's f-ucking CoD......just can't say enough how much I hate it.
Yeah, very realistic that combat adroid dropships or androids themself don't have cyber-warfare device to against a small pocket hacking device, lol.
Bruh the Cutscenes and the dialogue is one of the best in Video game history!!!!
I encourage you to learn about the game making process, their are tons of free software and tutorials out there.
yup we most likely would
complain even if it they would come and say "its not the same as the original" and with a good reason.:if your about to make a whole new game that dosent even try to be the same is the original is then its not the same game anymore.
call of duty started off as WWII game
and the best at the time. today the only thing in common the COD games have in common with what it use to be is the name of the franchize that being used only for the sake of marketing.
the games have nothing in common and should be called COD
In reality we have had only 3 futuristic Call of duty's ( black ops 2 was not that futuristic and neither was ghosts. People say these games have robots but they are not robots, they are drones which are different. People also got tired of WW2, world at war was not that well received. You also got to remember that one this game was in development people were okay with the future, by the time they the hate for the future came, They could not turn back, so cut infinity ward some slack.
the fact that they even have 3 futuruistic is still enough to make my point valid.
and besides its goes to Mw way the future stuff (i enjoyed MW but its just wasent the same)
and how people tired of WWII is contracditcting everything i said.
i dont mind Future warfare games, i love Sifi.
but its shouldent comeout under the title of COD.
its like 1998 godzila got nothing to do with the actual godzila
I was thinking same thing.
Easily top 3 with the soft reboot of modern warfare. What else can top those? The og black ops and the sequel of that?
Awesome comment sir.

This was the most bang for your buck you'll ever get from a call of duty game.... Really reminded me of Halo, but playing as a regular soldier instead or Master Cheif. One of my all time favorite games to date
I love the writing in this game. 1:08:43 favorite cutscene by far with Reyes and Omar jabbing each other about the navy vs marines.
Agreed. Absolute bro moment between the two of them.
if this game is not call of duty then everyone might buy it.
yes

The story for this game is beyond outstanding... I love this period.
One my favorite campaigns of COD....played like a movie....fantastic cast and voice acting..
*When you realize half of the game is just roasting the navy*
As it should be
@@senorcheems8388 No need for submersibles when you can go to space
damn why? i didnt play it
"Ethan, what's the Navy's official policy for a gunfight? Send in the Marines!"
this line still sticks with me to this day
I know this game has had a different references, however one of them was to one of their own franchises: CoD Modern Warfare
1:28:14 "Fair winds 141"
Taskforce 141
YEEEESSSS YOU GUYS ARE CLUTCH AF. BEST CUTSCENES ON TH-cam
Thanks brotha!
'[...] it has just strayed so far from the Call of Duty origins that it didn't make sense having the COD title anymore.'
Am I the only one to have foreseen that since Black Ops II entered into the near-future?
btw, same for '[...] this doesn't feel like COD [...]'
I think people saw it coming, but didn't know they would take it this far. I mean Black Ops 2 still was boots on the ground, and was massively popular. For me personally it's in my top 2 between BO2 and MW2. Advanced Warfare changed everything
Gamer's Little Playground
Well, BO2's futuristic setting did make it less CoD-ish but yeah.
“I think I’m scared sir”
Their whole exchange in that five minute scene had more character development and storytelling than the entirety of Vanguard
I like how Ethan was so bummed out at the sight of the battle tank robot. He was a gem we couldn't protect.
Lmao! I just noticed Ethan passing through the metal detector on the moon base.
Gamer's Little Playground I think it is the beginning of the end. The ship is sinking and this just made it sink faster.
Frankly, the older Call of Dutys really stuck by to what the title of the franchise intended for the game to be. The game was originally giving an "experience" of being called into the line of duty, hence "Call of Duty." COD is just so different from that original mentality now, it just doesn't feel like COD anymore.
Gamer's Little Playground
Some are referring to it as a prequel to the Halo series due to the similarities in some of it's features. Thinking along those lines it isn't that bad(ish)
Gamer's Little Playground i like how there are NO loading screens pretty much
Can we just talk about how Ethan wasn't on the wall with Reyes?
BOT lives Matter!
Ethan can reborn and reborn..because ethan is data that can transfer into new robot..this robot not a human
Ethan has a farmer brain so he's kind of human, thus the personalities. EPIC BOT
You know, e3n ain’t dead
He’s a robot. Might as well give my toaster a medal for completing what it was manufactured to do lol
i swear i felt like i was watching a movie when these cutscenes were playing
Wow. Amazing job putting the cutscenes together. Personally I kind of liked this one. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Storyline was ok.
Rohan A Kaushal Yeah It was pretty decent. Best one since MW3 in my opinion. BO3 wasn't too bad either.
That marine who jumped on top of the grenade at 1:19:20 R.I.P..
lmao
Major F in chat
Man got a medal of honor for that
Cutscenes on this cod series looks like a movie!
This was just marvelous and i just love Ethan but it's unfortunate that he died may his software find peace
I love that omar's voice actor is captain poison of R.U.F from blood diamond 💯💯💪🏿
Did anyone notice how good ole captain refused to send any of his men into harms way the entire game, but in the final battle pretty much told the dude to kamikaze the AA gun?
Maybe COD's best story to date. Next infinite Warfare should have Ethan as the main protagonist!:D
How come I never gave this game a try, looks awesome!!
