Volkswagen GTI performance mods - Suspension and Power. Exhaust, Tune, and More!

- My GTI is now at over $10,000 in mods including motor mounts, a Stage1+ tune, APR intercooler, and more. Sitting on Enkei Raijen wheels wrapped in Michelin PS4s tires. Below is an entire breakdown of the mods and their prices. I personally found it interesting to finally add up the total and my favorite way to do that is through making a video. My MK6 GTI mods
Engine:
o Neuspeed P-Flo intake (CARB legal w/ sticker and passes smog). $309
o APR intercooler (40% larger than stock) $1029
o 034 Motorsports engine and transmission mounts, street density. $270 for the pair
o VWR subframe mount $214
Borla S-Type exhaust $721
Cobb Accesport V3 $675
Cost: $3,218 in engine power + performance mods
Chassis/Suspension:
o Bilstein Sport Dampers (B8) for the rear end. $230 ($115 per side)
o DriverGear springs (for 4dr DSG): 3/4" lowering. $274
o Unibrace XB 6lbs(between rear seats and trunk) $544
Unibrace UB 7lbs (under center of the car) $544
Unibrace RB 2.3lbs $368
o Tyrolsport Deadset rigid collar subframe kit. $224

A larger intercooler is going to help with heat soak and cooling more boost, but it's probably not the reason your friend's car blew up

Neuspeed intercooler pipe to aid the larger cooler
Larger turbo inlet like the APR Pex pipe to compliment the intake you have

Got a Manual MK6 GTi coupe and love it so far.
I researched a Stage 1/2 however, as a daily I'm not sure I need that, especially that I'd need to upgrade the clutch.
Only thing I'm considering now is a Catback/Axle back, the car is plenty fast yet way too quite.
Pretty good & fun car for the money tbh.

Great channel and video , my mod list is pretty similar I just haven't had the courage to add it all up 😆 . How do you like the 26mm /22mm sway bars and the rline bushings?
034 engine /trans mounts are in the garage along with the rear sway bar waiting to be installed at some point. Tyrol sport subframe bushings are next along with unibrace rb
Would you ever part out the unibrace rb?
Also what's the color on your enkei raijins? I'm considering getting some from a friend and painting them gun metal . The watkins glen wheels I have a fantastic but I do want a bit of a lighter and wider wheel.

Hi, Im getting a gti mk6 soon and I have a question; Its the invested money on chasis/suspension (almost 4k) worth more than just putting a wavetrac LSD in the front (2,5k) and forgetting about traction issues with that kind of hp?? Is suspension + ps4s enough to stop the understeering?? I know you can stop the understeering lifting more the gas pedal and so, but you wouldnt be using the 100% of the power in curves. Thanks!!!!
Did you add that dual climate control unit? I've been looking at those for my mk6

I own an mk6 gti APR stage 2 reviewed on my channel and the only thing I'm missing is the intercooler,are you satisfied with APR's

Should I Get It Reviews neither man mentioning it 2 times in the first few minutes then more throughout the video has you perceived as eager which can be annoying to some people. I like the vids it’s j that part
