Our rescue chow had heartworms. Treatment is tough on the pup she had months long recovery I'm which he had to close our house to everyone. Because of her age the 1st treatment had to b stopped then a week or 2 later started again. The treatments cost a lot & even back then I think it was $500. And we never missed her heart worm chews from then on. 😢
@@tc1027many attempts but this was shelter that doesn't have $$ like Lee. They took in a badly burned dog. But they can't AsherHouse no matter their good reason.

My heart melted when I saw Bruce. I had a red dobie named Sienna that was my soulmate. We did everything together and she was so protective and loving. She was the main reason I was able to make it through a really bad illness when no one else was there for me. She watched over me and made sure I was alright. Sadly she had renal failure later in life and it almost killed me when I had to let her go. Dobermans are amazing dogs.

Bless you for adopting and caring so very much for these fur babies, I must say with the baby that had puppies, pls watch her mammory glands for tumors, we adopted two bassets, a girl and boy, our little Fiona wasn’t fixed and when her fur parents gave them up to a rescue she had this horrible large mammory tumor that was cancerous, the vet removed it and thought he got it all, we had her six months when she failed fast and we had to help her over the rainbow bridge. We are heartbroken over it. But her Dad we adopted is doing well but he went through a mourning period. They were never apart. 💔🐾💔🐾

Bruce is stunning! You are so right about the Doberman. I lost my boy 3 months ago, and I miss him, terribly. They have large personalities, and my boy was full of energy. He would run like the wind around our 7 acres with a massive smile on his face. He was never happier than when he was running. Bruce looks well adjusted, it is obvious you are doing everything right for his mental wellbeing.

Lee, you are the best human being ever. I’ve had 10 rescues over the years. It evolved that we end up with dogs with anxiety, and we ‘fix’ them by giving them unconditional love. I am always waiting for that moment when you can see total relaxation. It’s such a triumph to see dogs go from scared and anxious, to knowing they are with people who love them. It’s not always quick, more like years, but it’s well worth it.
