@@dougaldarcy6463 Hello. I'm thankful that you have positive experiences with breeders. You are fortunate in that regard as most of us haven't. I work with a very large animal rescue and sanctuary in the US and the numbers of pure bred dogs at our shelter is astronomically high. Where are these dogs coming from? They are coming from breeders. It doesn't make any sense to me that a breeder would help shelters and pounds get dogs out of shelters when they are part of the reason why they are there in the first place. I know that there are nice breeders who take care of their dogs' physical well being, but do they really, really, truly care about dogs when we're seeing the outrageously high numbers of homeless pets? Do what's morally right for dogs and stop breeding them. Go volunteer at any rescue on a daily basis. One will see the tireless work, the suffering, loneliness and stress on the dogs' faces, and the high cost involved. It will be eye-opening for sure.

These are bittersweet stories. Cannot help but think of the other helpless and deserving dogs that do not make it through no fault of their own. Things must change if we want different outcomes. All spay and neutering should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Thanks to Josh and his team members for their part of this journey. ❤❤❤

Folks please stop buying from breeders. My guess is those great pyrenes were part of that soulless business, no love, just puppies for sale. Right now at a local Shelter anyone can find a wonderful dog! PS: Lee is an angel :)
@@iyamwhatiyam547there are legitimate professional breeders and then there are back yard breeders, two very different things. There’s definitely a place in the world for those responsibly breeding dogs as they do so to produce healthy dogs bred to have specific traits and characteristics to make them suitable for certain jobs (herding, live stock guardian, police and rescue, service and medical alert, etc). All that is important, back yard bred dogs full of health and behavioural issues who end up in a shelter are the ones suffering and that’s the cycle that needs to end.
We we we we! Adoption day for Lee! I heard Josh say “these are the ones you had to fight to get out”! Isn’t that a shame? Someone wanted them!! That’s all that should need to be said! The Asher House is an amazing Organization, Thank you to Lee and His People, both two and four legged~ I cried through this rescue... from Hendrix to the last two siblings, ready to join their other siblings. So very cool. You, Are The Best! Love from across the Great Stream!
I wish it were that simple. When they make the cost of owning a pet affordable, more people will have that opportunity. There are so many who do want to help but can't because of the financial cost. Where I live you can be fined and even arrested if you don't pay registration fees and provide papers for your dogs. It's a much bigger problem overall. Places like Flatbush Cats are tackling that issue in NYC and providing low cost health care for cats. I'd love to see that happen more places and with a wider range of pets.
@@MarilynOcean1 Yeah. You're so right. That $7 coffee could cover shots and vet visits, no problem. 🙄😆 I can barely afford food for my own kids, and most of the people I know are in the same boat. That's without starbucks. But go on, please keep deluding yourself in the comments over nasty Starbucks coffee while I continue to find solutions through actual action that addresses the real problem - like affordable pet health care and less regulation on pet owners.
Every time I watch these videos, I want to get in my car, drive to Oregon and adopt as many as my vehicle could hold. It absolutely sickens me to my core that dogs are euthanized due to "lack of space" yet people continue to breed dogs. 😢 Thank you Mr. Asher and everyone involved in their rescue. ❤
I have a few friends and some acquaintances that still buy puppies and it boils my blood. Millions are euthanized every year, countless more suffer as strays, or in puppy mills being bred to literal death. People are 🤬🤬
@@clairevariandeacon6906Agreed. It angers one that they don't understand that their stupid ego of thinking the dogs are trophy toys when they buy according to special breeding, They don't really care about the animals they treat them like plastic toys and then abandon them so they can be recycled again and again by more monster owners like themselves Others a place in hell for those kinds. They're not human. Thanks to Source for sending the few real humans to care for these beautiful beings the right way. It's unfortunate thoughts there are only a few who can undertake such a mission for so many dogs. The horrors would stop if people would stop buying pets, it's a death sentence, and just adopt. The Asher , The Farm and other such programs are adoption programs so people can go there and get whatever breed they want and the best thing is they'd be already trained and are most loving with other dogs and children.
Lee, you're like a kid on Christmas morning saving animals. That should never be euthanized for any reason, let alone overcrowded shelters and people irresponsibility
Thank you, Lee, for saving twelve more lives. These scared and confused dogs will have their chances at a new and better life at the ranch. Bless your heart and all the folks who work with you.
I’ve been following the Asher house since Lee was rescuing in his bus/mobile home! His mission has never changed…help save as many animals as possible ❤️! I enjoy these videos so much and figure donating is the best way to show my support. Every single donation counts. Sometimes I can only donate $5. But imagine if just half of us could donate $5 a month. Think of the help that could provide! I makes me excited to think I had a part in saving these babies life 🥰. I can only imagine the expenses the Asher House has each month. Many of the animals are on medications or special diets. Anyhow…thank you Lee, and staff for all that you do for these beautiful creatures!

All these dogs felt they were safe and those fearful or anxious melted within seconds of sensing you will provide that. Well done Lee, AH & the community who fight to save the handful of ones being disposed to make more space. Much as I can't fathom these laws this was special, worth the fight!
Another beautiful day in the life...I love little old Scruffy. I had a giant Schnauzer that I rescued and called her Scruffy McGuffy because she was in a very sorry state when I got her from the pound so this little dear reminded me of her. She was a beautiful gentle dog and loved my baby daughter, went straight into guardian mode but never showed anything but love. I had her for 15 years; she was nearly 17 when she passed over 20 years ago but I still miss and love her. Thank you Asher house and all involved in your rescues and Lee, thank you for the "weeeooo, weeeooo" makes me smile every time.
@ Smellycat1990 I adopted from Battersea, I don't reside in London rather a ways away. A sad story he was rescued from a puppy farm following a raid ! He settled well, settling in with my other rescues, he lives in the lap of luxury as they all do !
Some day in the far away future when Lee takes his journey to find The Rainbow Bridge he is going to be greeted by ALL of the animals that have already crossed over the bridge. I like to think that all of our pets will know those that are truly CHAMPIONS to animals and will show Lee all of the love and devotion that he has selfishly given to animals while he was here on Earth. I hope that is when he will be honored with his angel wings.

One of the most beautiful things about rescue day is watching Lee and the team learn what each dog wants in the moment. The patience with the Great Pyrenees and the smaller dog, as well as the joy and love with the dogs who were more exuberant. Rescue day is the best day.

Hi, neighbour! I'm watching in Hamilton. The little terrier at 10:15 is the one for me. I had a dog that looked just like him when I was young, and when he was only 4 years old (I was 9), my father gave him away to someone he worked with. He did it while I was at school, refused to tell me why, and told me that if I didn't stop crying about it he'd "give me something to cry about". Fifty years later, I still think about that dog all the time. I know that one day, the perfect little terrier will find its way to me.
@@Terri_MacKay Hey Hamilton, I'm in Waterloo. What a cruel cruel thing to do to a child. And your dog. That's a grudge I'd hold forever too. Maybe you will find the way to that perfect little terrier. In the meantime, hope you have a doggo or four-legged in your life! I do! x
@@Terri_MacKay I am so sorry.....Some things you never get over. It's a real shame that your Father's attempt to show his superiority over his 4 yr old child , would leave a lifetime hole in her heart. I hope you find that doggie. Stay positive. We're all rooting for you.
@@cdes1776 In the last 6 years, my daughter and I "adopted" 2 dogs from abusive owners. Choppy was an 8 year old German Shepherd who had lived most of his life in a cage in his "family's" basement because they didn't like looking after him. They were going to take him to the SPCA to be euthanized, and one of our neighbours found out and told us (because people in the neighbourhood know my daughter and I as the ladies who rescue the stray cats). It took a while, but we convinced them to give him to us. He had so many health issues, including liver disease, and we expected to have him for about a year, and we just wanted to do everything we could to make that his best year. We took very good care of him, took him to the vet regularly, and monitored his diet closely, and we ended up having 2 1/2 years with him. He passed very peacefully and quickly at home after having a really good day where he'd had a lot of fun. Considering that I thought we'd only have a year with him, we consider that extra year and a half to be a gift, for Choppy and for us. We rescued Aria from abusive neighbours as well. I swallowed down my disgust for them, so that I'd be allowed to spend time with Aria. Everyone in the neighbourhood knew what was happening to her, and we'd all tried getting her help, and no one cared about that sweet girl. And she was so sweet. For as badly as she was treated, she was always socwell behaved and so happy. I kept treats for her at our place, and in the 3 1/2 years that her people lived next door to us, I whispered in her ear so many times that I loved her and was going to get her away from them. When I found out they were moving, I knew I had to convince them to give her to us, and luckily they agreed. My whole family fell in love with her because they just couldn't believe what a good girl she was. Making her a part of our family was so amazing because for so long I thought it would never happen. I loved my childhood dog and Choppy, but I never knew how much I needed a dog until Aria lived with us. She went everywhere with me. She really was the light of my life. A year and a half after we got her, she needed major surgery, which she heeled from so quickly and so well. But 2 weeks after the operation, she started seizing one night, one seizure after the other. We raced her to the overnight vet, and had to put her to sleep because the vet said that she would keep seizing until her heart gave out. And she had such a big, beautiful, loving heart, I knew it could take a long time before it gave out. I was devastated. The vet who did her surgery said that she was very healthy, and after the surgery we'd have "for years to come". We had her for 2 more weeks. Watching her, utter helpless to do anything, while she had those seizures is the worst thing I've ever seen. I'm just glad that she wasn't aware of anything that was happening since a few seconds before the first seizure. By the time the first one started, we'd already lost her. That happened last November. I spent all summer last year doing things with her, and that made me miss her so much more this summer. It hurt all over again, ascmuch as it had when it first happened. That's why I said that one day my terrier will find its way to me. Choppy and Aria found their way into our family when they needed someone to rescue them the most. And we'd were honoured to do it, and to be their family, even if it was for much too short a time. I have no doubt that there's another dog out there who needs help, and Choppy and Aria will find a way to lead us to them. We've rescued over 30 cats over the years, and every animal we've rescued has stayed with us. After finding them on the streets, in terrible condition, despite belonging to someone at some point, despite having a home and a family once, I'd never trust anyone to take care of them, and have the patience with them that we do. We didn't have all 30 at once. We rescued that many over 17 years. We currently have 12, and they're all officially seniors, all being 10 or older. They just lie around all day, demanding attention, demanding we see to their needs, demanding we entertain their little quirks and idiosyncrasies, demanding to be fed, demanding to be snuggled...and we happily oblige. It's been an honour and a pleasure to cater to every one of them.
@@mcutts1832 Thank you so much. Obviously my father wasn't a very nice man, and his hobby was being cruel to me and my 3 younger sisters. He didn't hit us, but clearly wanted to hurt us, so he was cruel. Frankly, I think it would have hurt less to be hit. I had years of therapy as an adult, to deal with my father and my childhood. The one thing that no therapist has ever been able to get me to come to terms with is him giving MacTavish away. There was no reason to do it, except to hurt me, then to hurt me further by forbidding me to grieve my loss, and forbidding me to ever talk about him again. Having to act as if Mac had never been a part of our family was definitely a part of my "punishment". My Dad moved back to the States from Canada years ago. He never stayed in touch with us, and we never made any attempts to maintain a relationship with him. He passed away about 10 years ago, and I felt nothing. Not happy, not sad, just completely indifferent. How horrible of a human being do you have to be to have your 4 children just not care when you pass away. I've cried every time we've lost one of our dogs or cats. I was devastated every time. But I didn't cry for him.
Lee Asher and his staff is just insanly good at what they do. This video show how good he is to read the mood of the dog, and switch his own behaviour accordingly. As I said on another video, he should do seminars, training etc (and price it high to pipe funds into the Asher House). He could teach a lot of people, both private and professional dog owners.

Forget a like button. I want a love button to hit. No matter what my week has been, rescue day makes my heart happy.
🙂
Josh is the man. Always coming through for Lee. 🎉
These are bittersweet stories. Cannot help but think of the other helpless and deserving dogs that do not make it through no fault of their own. Things must change if we want different outcomes. All spay and neutering should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Thanks to Josh and his team members for their part of this journey. ❤❤❤
Oh friends. There is absolutely no reason for these fantastic dogs to be languishing and shelters! Please spay pr neither your pets if they aren’t already and get the word out help fund raise for programs that help prevent overpopulation!
PEOPLE STOP SUPPORTING BACK YARD BREEDERS
@@whoarru3601 and puppy mills
Don’t ever purchase a dog off the internet. They are usually puppy mill dogs or from backyard breeders.
Here I go again, crying like a baby with joy for those precious pups. All gratitude goes to Asher House.
We we we we! Adoption day for Lee! I heard Josh say “these are the ones you had to fight to get out”! Isn’t that a shame? Someone wanted them!! That’s all that should need to be said! Thank you so much Lee for giving these pups a new lease on life! I know they are aware you saved them! God bless the Asher House and all involved in this mission! ❤❤
I may only donate a few dollars a month...I farm, I have five canine and six feline...all Rescue. The Asher House is an amazing Organization, Thank you to Lee and His People, both two and four legged~ I cried through this rescue... from Hendrix to the last two siblings, ready to join their other siblings. So very cool. You, Are The Best! Love from across the Great Stream!
The world would be a better place if everyone had the love of a dog it would heal so many hearts
@@veloraloves maybe if people had less Starbucks they could afford a pet mostpeople can afford what they want to afford
How many dogs do you have?
Every time I watch these videos, I want to get in my car, drive to Oregon and adopt as many as my vehicle could hold. Unfortunately I live in an apartment and am not able to do this and my heart breaks for all these special babies and thank God that Asher house provides them the love and protection they all need.
Bless you for providing a safe place for these dogs. ❤❤❤

Lee you are so kind. Thank you for rescuing these beautiful babies !
My pug Jack, says thank you for saving all the dogs but especially the pugs.
I’ve showed your videos to friends and family and one person asked me. Why is this guy so excited and happy all the time? Free video he’s always got a permanent grin on his face. I said probably because when you save lives every single day, you feel good every single day.! ❤
Yes, doing good deeds for others makes people feel better. 🙂
Some people will never understand. I can't fathom not loving animals I just can't I don't understand how there are people that don't
And this is why although I am disabled on SSD - I DONATE!! It’s not a lot but if we all give just 10.00 imagine the difference we could make!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this comment! It is SO true!
You are wonderful for doing that. I would love to give but I give to my local shelter. They are a no kill shelter.
I send 10.00 a month here and another rescue. Not much, but I hope it helps.
@angelreed6182- that’s wonderful! You’re doing so much!!! Take care my friend!! 😊❤️
@lillieberger2883- fantastic!! Take care my friend!! 😊❤️

People are 🤬🤬
💯💯 Adopt, don't shop!
Oh my God I didn't need to know that I really love animals so much more than humans we need to get a check
😢😢
So heartbreaking imagine because of lack of space they started euthanizing us humans that would be unthinkable 😢
THIS! Doggos are family.
We do that to ourselves already
U have no idea
Yes, thank you Rick,Josh, Joel and all involved in saving these beautiful innocent doggos. Takes your breath away to see how close they came. Lee and team Asher, thank you!🦮🦮🐕🐕💕👍
All these dogs felt they were safe and those fearful or anxious melted within seconds of sensing you will provide that.
Don't breed or buy whilst shelter animals die! Sending love from London x
Yup agreed! please ADOPT dont SHOP guys
@ Smellycat1990
I adopted from Battersea, I don't reside in London rather a ways away. A sad story he was rescued from a puppy farm following a raid ! He settled well, settling in with my other rescues, he lives in the lap of luxury as they all do !
ALL of the new fur babies are absolutely gorgeous. I'd love to have that poodle! ❤😊
Keep an eye on his adoption center/partner and see if/when he becomes available.
How sad all those perfect dogs were going to be killed. Thank you for rescuing them Lee!!!
I LOVE RESCUE DAY!! Let's see these honey bunnies! Look how gorgeous they are, they are amazing, just beautiful!! I love them, and I love your soul. Thank you!! Love ya too, Lee, always always!!🩷🩷🩷
I cry every time on rescue day. We need a sanctuary in every state. I would volunteer in a heartbeat. My great love of animals came from my parents. They were always taking in strays. Thanks to you and your great staff Lee for all the love you give to all the animals. God Bless Y'all

They were thanking you, and I thank you. Thank you, kind soul.
Thank you to everyone who works at Asher House with all the animals.
🙂 Yes!
One of the most beautiful things about rescue day is watching Lee and the team learn what each dog wants in the moment. The patience with the Great Pyrenees and the smaller dog, as well as the joy and love with the dogs who were more exuberant. Rescue day is the best day.
Great Pyrenees are so sensitive - very special spirits. I have on my farm. Thank you for saving them.

THANKYOU LEE FOR BEING THEIR SAVIOR ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lee Asher and his staff is just insanly good at what they do. This video show how good he is to read the mood of the dog, and switch his own behaviour accordingly. As I said on another video, he should do seminars, training etc (and price it high to pipe funds into the Asher House). He could teach a lot of people, both private and professional dog owners.

I think you have to go in person to the rescue that the Asher house works with to apply for any of their dogs. I could be wrong. Do a little bit of research. It might be possible if you're willing to pay for transport.

Monsters,they are cruel!😢🇬🇧
Exactly what I was going to say!!!
@@denisetilley3509Monsters are people who allow dogs to breed indiscriminately, or buy them but are unprepared for the responsibility of pets, and/or turn them loose or abandon them so they end up in overwhelmed shelters. I can assure you that no one working in shelters wants to euthanize any dog but space and resources are finite. It’s unfair to these animals but until people change their irresponsible behaviors this sad reality will remain. 😥🐾🐾
