- Rain didn't trust me at all and even took a few shots at me. She had so much anxiety that she started to chew her foot off. After a long road trip I gained her trust and now she won't leave my side ❤️
Thanks for watching!

When you came from your shower just in a towel, your whole silhouette was different to Rain. She reacted not realizing you were the same person, and your scent would have been masked by shampoo and body wash. I’m so glad she’s found you and her huge pack of friends to help her resolve any lingering anxiety from her previous life. You are a blessing to these lovely souls that call the Asher House home. Thanks and blessings to you and all the human helpers who provide and care for this marvelous collection of God’s creatures.💕🐾🐾
So smart. I bet you're right.
Came to say the same thing about the shampoo!!
I think that's exactly right👍
You looked different when u got out of the shower…smelled different too…normal 👍♥️🐶
Great point
Love that YOU will drive so far for a dog and not just leave it to your staff. She's gonna have a great life with you.
C, he took the next flight out to get her. Then drove home.
So amazing !!!! ❤
@@humble3417 My point is, he still drove hours, whether it was on the way home or not. Sheesh.
God Bless your beautiful heart and soul. These sweet babies are so well loved. Thank you for all you do❤
@@user-rp2xg5qj5yare these dogs able to be adopted from him?
I just saved a starving GSD - perfect manners, was officially abandoned.
6 days of careful feeding and socializing- she’s the perfect dog!
Idk why people do this to great dogs…
She’s mine now, I’m her forever home
Not many men would drive that many hours to help one dog. What a blessing you are, Lee. It was so wonderful to see Rain's disposition slowly change for the better over the course of your trip.
She did so well meeting that many dogs, as well! She's off to a great start!
Agree. And, by the time Rain got to Asher House, she was putting her hind foot on the ground. It was amazing to see the anxiety melt away.

People. Plenty of men would do the same without a camera crew.
Poor baby Rain, I can not understand how people could mistreat any kind of animals. Thank you to these people who reached out to the asher house. Best of recovery for Rain ❤❤❤❤
Agreed. It stirs such anger and disgust within. I wish more people would learn to value life in all its wonderful forms- and if not in all its forms, the least they could do is honor their pets.
May she overcome her fears and run free with her family🐾🐾❤️🇨🇦
Thank you for being a vegetarian.
Suzanne I totally agree. It just makes me see red. For goodness sake, if for whatever reason you don't or can't look after Rain then drop her off at a rescue or the ASPCA. But what you don't do is chain her to a park bench and abandon her! 😔
Awe poor baby. Rain is absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy that she will be living a loving and caring life. No animal should have to go through anything like that. I tend to be very partial when it comes to Dalmatian's because I had one growing up. He was an amazing family dog. He's been gone for a long time However I still miss him today. I just want to thank the Asher house for all they do. ❤️🐾❤️🐾
Rain might be one of the only dogs I've seen you take in so far who've responded to their trauma with some understandable anger. Such a relief and so heartwarming to see her realize she's safe and truly loved and home. She's such a beautiful Dalmatian, I hope that leggy heals well.
Thank you for going and getting her. She's going to have a wonderful life❤
I'm going to guess rain's anger is going to b easier resolved from the trauma then dogs who withdraw & shutdown
She was walking on that leg shortly after they got home.
Yes, most certainly understandable but heartbreaking!! No animal should be that scared!!! I can't stand people who even slightly mistreat animals......
@@user-ry1vi1jc7o I noticed that too. Good sign.
Having 2 Dalmatians of my own this hits close to home. Dalmatians are "velcro" dogs and will stick by you once they trust you. I have 7 dogs and the Dal's will always find a way to be next to me. My boy (profile pic) is very protective of me too. Thank you for saving Rain and adding her to your family at the Asher House. Please keep us updated with her progress.
I have a Velcro dally too ❤ they’re the best
I rescued a "VELCRO SCHIPPERKE"💞
Your boy is beautiful 😍

Precious beautiful baby..she already knows she is safe with you. Thank goodness for you.
People who abuse and mistreat animals should be punished severely. They don’t belong in society. Thank you to all the people who had a hand in saving her ❤
My sincere hope is that there is a truly horrendous spot in Hell for people that abuse these sweet precious souls!
Thank goodness Rain has you and your pack now Lee. She’s beautiful and you are a godsend🙏❤️
AMEN
Love how by the time Rain was walking with the pack, she was using all four paws 🐾 the pack sent out healing vibes ✨️
Her tail was also relaxed and wagging!
I know right, first thing I noticed too 💖
She was walking on all four at various times before that as well, but she looked so relaxed and happy by the time of the pack walk. Amazing!
The person that did this to poor rain tire to a tree in the park they should do the same thing to the man that did this
Dogs don’t want to show any weakness to other dogs, it’s hard-wired. Weakness gets attacked or abandoned in nature.
Rain is such a beauty! I cannot imagine how anyone could hurt such a gentle, innocent and precious doggie. Thank you Lee for rescuing her. God bless you ❤
I have to say thank you to the mean SOBs that left Rain alone in the park. Those SOBs weren’t good enough for her. Now she has the perfect dad, perfect home and perfect fur brothers and sisters. Three Cheers for Rain 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amen sometimes people just don't now how to be kind to their pets and when those very same pets meet a person that actually cares about them and shows them affection they know the pets know that they are in their forever home with their forever family.
I adopted a little dog from a breeding rescue group. After taking her and having her vet checked I learned she had probably had many litters, she was partially blind, deaf, and had only a tattoo in her ear. I gave her a name and she gave me unconditional love for another 7 years.
Humans should be treated the way they treat animals.
You are a blessing from God. I love watching you. I love dogs and it’s just makes me so happy they can be with you. Thank you for all that you do.
Oh my goodness, what a little love she is. You could see her getting better and better with each dog that came out. I thank the good Lord for putting you in her path.
AMEN
@@kimberlypotts3874and Hallelujah!!
Rain hit the jackpot with you, Lee. Thank you so much for giving her the life I know she'll have now that you have her.
😅😅😅
The lengths you go to to save them poor dogs is just amazing .So so happy that Rain now has you in her life .
Thank you for saving Rain and all these dogs. You are a true blessing to them. Gods bless you.
Bathing her foot in warm water and epsom salt a few times a day will help heal and make her foot feel better, it’s also great for killing any bacteria. Another thing, so many Dalmatian’s are born deaf so if she’s not responding to you verbally, that could be the reason.
She’s a beauty and those soulful eyes always gets me in the heart.
Yes, I thought of that also, but Dalmatians can be a bit high strung in general.
The pack will settle her down. Sweet ,lovely Rain.
🩷🐶
I also wondered about her hearing. It seems to be prevalent in Dalmatians.
@@kp8381I hope not but I’m sure it’s something they may already be aware of.
Her fight, flight and fawn is going to take time, but if deafness can’t be ruled out then that’s just a different way to approach her. There is such a thing as sign language, that they can use and believe it or not they get it, fairly fast.
Mitalda. Doing so good. Loving seeing her.
Agree! I think she might be my favorite. They’re all special, but she’s even more so.
@@kathrynnielson5689 And Tommy. :)
Matilda is holding her own. I watch for her too! She has a fan club, no?
And Little Bear is looking much better after the eye surgery! Walking with the pack like he wasn't blind. Honestly I love seeing Matilda in the welcome pack the most though. She's always so sweet and gentle with the newcomers. Even if she doesn't mean to the fact that she's always rolling over and exposing her belly shows the other dogs that it's okay to feel safe there. ❤️🩹
waltzing Matilda
She is fitting in quite nicely! Another lucky fur baby to make her way to The Asher House. She has now found her heaven on earth!!!❤️🙏
Her fear made me tear up! I can't imagine how frightening it is to be dumped somewhere all alone. And, likely after enduring abuse. I'm glad she is fitting in with the pack! She's a lovely pup! ❤
Lee, you always talk about the special souls of the dogs you meet and rescue. I hope you realize what a special soul you are. You have no idea how much positive energy, with all sadness some of your stories contain, you create. We have a shelter dog at home as well, who was a street dog, abused, so I know a bit of how difficult it can be with these dogs. It is amazing how you can connect to these dogs, how you can read them. And with all the evil stuff happening to these poor animals, it is relieving to see people like you on the other side of the balance. Thank you so much!
💯
I totally agree with your comment - Thanks so much
Love the name Rain. Lee you are the animal whisperer!! She is beautiful. Wow....that's scary Lee. Poor thing. She's got to be traumatized. You already show her she's safe and loved.
I noticed she quit chewing her foot. You're a God send to those fur babies.
It is almost more than my heart can bear watching Lee with all these precious souls!!!!!
The rest of the dogs : “ hey new girl , this place rules . Lee loves us and feeds us and we go on walks and life is amazing. You’re safe now friend “
Poor baby! Dalmatians are so beautiful too ❤
Rain is so ADOGABLE 🐾🐾 i love Dalmatians.
Sweet welcoming home ❤🐾🐾 Look she's walking on her paw. AWESOME !!!!
Hi Matilda 😊 i love you you sweet wonderful girl ❤🐾🐾
Lee you’re like the Dr Dolittle of Dogs, studying for a diploma in enhancing the lives of all the animals you take into the sanctuary.
I love the compassion you show and the understanding you have that the pack lifestyle does not suit all dogs and are willing to find them a suitable home which compliments their needs.
Dalmatians are a challenge, and can get aggressive, but once they see you as a friend, they are very loyal and loving! PS, I hope she has found her forever home at the sanctuary because from personal experience with Dalmatians, rehoming is very, very difficult on them. They just don't understand.
I really felt for the foster mom in the start. You could tell she really felt for Rain and was thinking of what was best for her.
@@mom.left.me.at.michaels9951 I did, too. This whole segment reminded me of when we adopted our dalmatian, Sparky. Wow, was he ever smart (aside from falling into the pool once). My sister taught him to smile on cue!
Beautiful little girl - so scared and confused - but now she is home with her new siblings and her new Daddy. Bless you Lee!
You are a wonderful person. Please continue helping these traumatized pups and give her the chance to happiness as it should be. You are a real savior ❤❤❤
A father with many kids , and remembering ALL their names , amazing 😅
Great story!
Dalmations are so loyal and wear their heart on their paw.
Being abandon like that must have been crushing.
Naturally a bit strung so the oil will help as she learns her place and schedule.
They need structure to feel secure.
Hope she will give time to heal up.
Had a border collie rescue that chewed her feet and tail. Rough times.
Its never easy is it? Thank God 4 animal angels like u.😇
Rain is a beauty!! It still surprises me how quickly the rescues come to trust you. It's amazing!
What a sweet dog. How could. Someone ever abuse any dog like that. Thank you for taking her to a loving place. Love you for what you do.
Rain is in the perfect place to thrive and heal, both physically and emotionally. I am always amazed to see the effect the pack can have in helping the process too. Another happy ending for a fortunate little pooch! Yay for beautiful Rain! ❤🐕❤️
I love the way your pack just enjoys seeing who or what you come home with. Totally accepting any new creatures, especially dogs.
I pray for you and your staff to stay healthy for many many more decades so you can continue your beautiful work helping animals ❤♥😊💜💖💙❤♥😊💜💖💙❤♥😊
So glad you and Rain had a safe drive home Lee. She is a stunning girl. Can’t wait to see how much she falls in love with you and her siblings. I noticed she was putting more weight on her leg ! Awesome. Your awesome Lee and lots of love to you and each one in your Pack.
Rain is so precious! So are you Lee. Your name and spirit will be remembered and honored by those who adopt dogs in need.
What a beautiful dog! She just wanted to be loved and be a part of a family ! Love you Rain!
You could almost see her anxiety disappear at the end, Rain must be so happy to be surrounded by all the love and support from you and your pack ❤
She is definitely adoptable. What a sweetheart. Thank you for giving all the pups a paw up. 🐾❤
I disagree that she is adoptable. She suddenly snapped at Lee when he came out of the bathroom. There may be other situations that would trigger Rain as well, and an unsuspecting "forever" family might encounter those and be very upset. I know this from experience. Rain does not need to be in a situation where it might end up with her being rejected again. AH is the right fit for her, IMHO. The only exception is if an adoptive family was very experienced with abused dogs...
@@andydufresne5297 Most likely she is very adoptable, just needs some secure time and the right people to take care of her. I am happy for her that she has this second chance at having a forever home.
She’s a beauty, Lee. This world is really messed up. The Asher House gives me hope for humanity … and for the dogs who are mistreated. ❤️🇨🇦🙏
She is beautiful and her eyes are amazing. I'm happy to see her settle in with you and the pack. Thank you for all you do Lee. ❤
Her eyes have an added bonus, eyeliner.
I miss Butters! More Butters please!
Happy Father's Day! To the best Doggie Dad ever! Have a great Day!
Dalmations are highly sensitive animals. Thank you for giving her new life.
Matilda is so sweet and welcoming to all the new additions ❤
I know & moo seems 2 b 1st in the welcoming party 2.
Rain is such a beautiful dog, glad you rescued her
Poor baby, I can't imagine what she's been through. She will learn very quick she's one of the luckiest dogs to have Lee as her dad. You can see such a difference in her with you from beginning to end of video. Definitely bonding and learning to trust you.
What a beautiful story...Again...thank you Lee and everyone at the Asher House for what you do. It really is making a difference..not just for the blessed souls you save but it also inspires us humans to do good stuff while we are here...also, gotta say it was awesome seeing Tommy Boy and Matilda.
Hoping everything works out and she understands she's safe and has found her people! I'm sure she will in time. And if she doesn't, I'm confident you'll be able to find her a great home!!
Prayers she let's the love soak in, and for a quick recovery! Thanks for rescuing her ❤️❤️
Pups rescued from a mill are heartwarming to see, and Asher House is doing a great service when they accept and foster those dogs. But honestly, it's when you work your magic (love + protection + food/shelter/pack life) on a damaged animal like Rain that I remember why I love watching your videos so much and why I donate to AH.
Wishing I was a dog being rescued & cared for by you Lee!!!! I'm an adult orphan of sorts, looking for a " forever home"!!!!! I truly appreciate all the respect, love, care you extend to these awesome animals!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
When you have someone who loves you, their heart is your home.
That's just so beautiful to see. Rain is discovering a whole new life. She seems pretty chill and interested in the pack. She's never felt that happy pack vibe before, I imagine. Welcome to a new world, Rain. We love you. ✌❤
Rain is such a beautiful dog. I think the incident in your hotel was she didn’t recognize you coming out of the shower!😂(you prob smelled different too 🤣). I’d still like to see an update with Rain ((with her hind foot & all), though I think she’ll do fine. Thx for sharing!👍🏼

I totally agree with your comment Karen - Thanks So Much
You mean her *"past* life."

I loved how she knew already that you would protect her when she was a little unsure when all the other dogs came out.
I’m happy no harm came to you with Rain!
Poor little dog, probably been through too much!😕
Things will only get better and better for her in her new life!
Well done Lee 👍🙂
WELCOME TO THE PACK, RAIN! 💗🐶 All of you are so fortunate to have each other.
Why would anyone do that???? Horrible! Thank God people do the right thing. She's so sweet!!! Beautiful! Blessings Lee. I'm so sad to see it. Thank you Lee!!!
The person who left her probably didn't research the needs of a Dalmatian before acquiring her, they need a lot of exercise and can develop bad habits if under stimulated, I'm confident she will thoroughly enjoy life in the Sanctuary, would love to see her down at the stream, all my Dallies loved the water. (ex Breeder)
Another beautiful pup wins the lottery of life!! You go Rain!! On top of being sweet & beautiful, you're lucky too!! Lee once again you're a Saint amongst us mere mortals.
Lee is the best😍😍😍😍😍

And you both bonded on your journey home….. it’s meant to be Lee Asher 👍🏻🤗😊
I love how she lets the other rescuer rs tell her what they say and suggestions. And he agrees. And he shows his way also. So he doesn’t make them feel stupid. Very sweet.
I love when the sun is out and it Rains😉😘

I love how all the different dog react to Matilda 🥰 they see her wiggly butt and just relax and start being chill dogs again ❤️
Every video you post makes me respect you even more. Thank you for doing all you do and for sharing it with all of us 🥰♥️🐾
What a beauty she is! The whole video I kept an eye on that tail and I cried a little when I finally saw it fwappin’. I’m so happy she’s with you now. ❤
Me too! I was watching her tail
I believe that dogs sense, realize and understand so much more than we give them credit for. I think you just have this “aura” about you that dogs very quickly know that you are now their person who will love them, and give them the best life ever. They will NEVER be hurt again. And the pack, I think that in welcoming Rain, she gets the sense that they’ve been there too, and they let her know that this is a good place. As for the CBD, there’s a line from an old song “Take a trip and never leave the farm”. She was taking a trip on the way to the farm.✏️🤣
I love how Matilda always makes the newbies feel welcome:). You are a great Dad 💕💕
This one brought me to tears. Lee how gentle and compassionate you are to Rains trama....she can heal and be safe now

Oh Lee , she is just beautiful, what a beautiful soul I see in her. Was watching this curled up with my miniature Schnauzer Bowie, and it was amazing, he looked at her a cocked his head and gave a little whine, he has NEVER taken notice of anything I have watched before. I really home The Asher House is internationally recognised for all your hard work. I think you’re all wonderful
Thank you ❤
She looks like she can't be much past being a puppy! She's so lucky with you rescuing her, and the pack seems to love her! One reason I love what you do: you have a lot of dogs, yes, but each and every one of them is loved and very special to you, and I love that!
I had a dalmatian..he was deaf. My husband wanted to return him.i said no. ( years later I got rid of the husband) anyway, cowboy was the most sensitive dog I have ever had. Loving..but he chewed my house down until he was 2 years old. He understood hand signals and whenever he was getting ready to get into mischief he'd look over his shoulder to see if mom could see him. I loved them all..
That face...what a beautiful baby she is. Thank you for seeing her worth, Lee, and for all of the effort it took to reach her.. she will soon know how lucky she really is!
The aesthetics really stood out this time around. Rain's flower matched the couch, and Lee, your jeans and shirt matched Rain. 😊
Bonding during the car ride home can make all the difference. It was the spark that established the unwavering trust my cat has in me. Apparently, my gentle girl was difficult and hissy with her foster Mom but two years in and the closeness, love and affection between she and I has only grown.
Animals are one of humanity's greatest gifts. Love to Rain and all your rescued creatures. ❤
