We normally suggest the 1 pound rope (2 is sooooo much) but you'll probably be amazed at how heavy the 1/2 pound rope is... If you are at all nervous about using a heavy rope, go for the half pound. Simarjit Singh - jump ropes are great for fat loss, but if you are only spinning it 8 times, you aren't burning a lot of calories. If you can only do 8 reps with your rope, get a lighter rope and do the free four week challenge.
Simarjit Singh - i'm not following, but it's simple. follow the free four week challenge and stop counting skips. www.jumpropedudes.com/survey (it's free - what do you have to lose?? some fat??)
I gained weight after I started doing jumrope but I know that I also got lean because of the jeans I wear. Would there be a weight gain of like 4-5 pounds in a month of jumprope? I used to lift a few years back and was built good amount.
im a beginner i do 15mins everyday, will u suggest me a speed rope or heavy rope ? or 10mins speed rope and 5mins heavy rope? (using regular rope rn) btw good vid as per mate
I bought the lean set and I jump better with the 1/2 lb rope then I do with 1/4lb. Is this normal? Is it ok just to jump with that exclusively? At least till I get better. I'm getting the strong set for Christmas I'm afraid I'll never touch the 1/4 again lol
Jayson Scaccia - totally. Jump rope is ALL ABOUT rope speed. but you can only increase rope speed with loads of practice. Getting that rope speed way up with a light rope (so you can feel the feedback) takes time. One of the best ways to pass this is to find your rhythm with a heavier rope :)
To gain weight, you want to make sure you're eating for those goals. Check out our macro calculator here www.jumpropedudes.com/jump-rope-dudes-calculator The Get Fit bundle would be your best option. That's the 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 pounds. Use DOTHETHING for 10% off! www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes

guys thanks for the very informative video!
Teen Fit - Everyday! Thanks for the support!
Is the length of the rope weighted or are there weights in the handles?
the rope is actually weighted. it's rad. It really changes the resistance.
Weights in handles is ok or it should be in rope....beacuse i couldn't find weight in the ropes at my nearest shop
A C - IN THE ROPE! Crossrope is unique, awesome and patented. You won't find anything like it... www.jumpropedudes.com/jumpropes
Should I get a get lean or get strong. I want to lose weight and gain muscle. I’ve been jump roping for a while . I’m 5’11 and 190
Love the vids love rope jump
I triad mine today. I have the Orange one 1,5 kg. That was really hard, will I get used to it? Or did I buy a to much heavy jump rope?
Daniel Pawela - like all things, you'll get used to it. 1 day at a time!
A year later, I'm curious of your progress.
I have yet to master regular jump rope, but I really want to try heavy ropes. Opinion?
a little weight will actually make it easier... not TOOOO heavy, but like a 1/2 pound rope is excellent for beginners!
I am 165cm tall. So could you tell me the length of rope I should use
Rope length varies by height, skill level, and the type of rope you're using. Test out different lengths to see what feels right for you!
I went out and bought a weighted Nike rope but its just weighted handles? whats that about then?
dr3w79 - it adds resistance, but it's nothing like a weighted crossrope.
sorry for asking .. after jumping for 5 minute my stomach hurt .. core pain??
mcbong92 - food? fitness? Could be dozens of things... Take it easy. Go slow. let your body adjust!
Zen Dude Fitness oohh my forgot it just 2 week seen im started to jumping hahaha sorry ... Btw thanks...
Would you recommend going heavier than 2 lbs?
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I broke my toe nail yesterday
😧😧😖😖😖😖
Feels horrible I WANNA JUMP ROPE
Heal up!
To be honest I can't wait to heal up and get back to some JUMPEHN 😤😤😤
Thankx for da support
Where we can get this heavy jump rope in India..can you pls suggest..I couldn't find a good one in Amazon too
Where do you buy these jump ropes. Hibbet sports or a sport shop?
Trafalgar D. Water Law - online! link in the description of every video we have - www.crossrope.com/zendudefitness
Does the weighted jump rope help with shoulder endurance for boxing?
All ropes do. But the best for that is the speed bag. That's what its for.they say it's for hand eye coordination but you can hit it without looking at it
Crossropes are the BALLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!
SOoo good!
What if I like the Get Lean set but I want to use a weighted rope? Will the 1/2 pound rope that comes with the Get Lean set suffice for heavy rope workouts? Or could I get the 1 lb rope and use it with the Get Lean handles?
The 1/2 lb. is a great start to weighted ropes. The 1 lb. rope needs those power handles!
I tried opening the 4 week challenge but the survey wasn't loading for hours. Please help, much thanks x
Try again? Different browser? It works... It really does!
I jump rope with a speed rope. Should I switch to a quarter pound rope or a 0.5 pound rope next?
Def grab a weighted rope next time! 1/4 Crossrope is a great next step! www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes
i have 2lbs crossrope is that goood for weight loss and workout??? and i does my 2-3 circut workout of 8 reps with ease... just feel burn in my shoulders 😊😊😊
Simarjit Singh - jump ropes are great for fat loss, but if you are only spinning it 8 times, you aren't burning a lot of calories. If you can only do 8 reps with your rope, get a lighter rope and do the free four week challenge.
@@JumpRopeDudes brother, im spining 50 ropes, 8 times in one set, and i do 3 to 4 sets. makes atleast more than 1000 times
Simarjit Singh - i'm not following, but it's simple. follow the free four week challenge and stop counting skips.
www.jumpropedudes.com/survey (it's free - what do you have to lose?? some fat??)
As a beginner what weight I should use to begin with?
The Get Lean set is a great place to start www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes
I gained weight after I started doing jumrope but I know that I also got lean because of the jeans I wear. Would there be a weight gain of like 4-5 pounds in a month of jumprope? I used to lift a few years back and was built good amount.
You gained weight with the normal jump rope?
i am 178 cm tall, will it be recommended to get smaller M or bigger L? Because it seems in between.
im a beginner i do 15mins everyday, will u suggest me a speed rope or heavy rope ? or 10mins speed rope and 5mins heavy rope? (using regular rope rn)
btw good vid as per mate
15 min each rope, work up to doing it without taking a break
is there a reliably way of adding weight to a light rope?
Not that we’re aware of! Check out the weighted ropes we use here www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes
I order a heavy jump rope and I can't wait to try it
I bought the lean set and I jump better with the 1/2 lb rope then I do with 1/4lb.
Greetings from Greece!!
GreetS!
Is it perfect for beginners?
Does this rope help in loosing lower body or hip weight?
Marrium Sheikh = jump rope + nutrition = fat loss
Should I buy the 1 pound rope or 2? I want to lose/tone my arm.
Eden Yigzaw - get started with the starter set (both a 1/4 pound and 1 pound rope).
Jump Rope Dudes, formerly Zen Dude Fitness thanks
Cool we jump rope a lot in kickboxing too
Great stuff!
I want to gain stamina and weight. Which rope should I buy?
To gain weight, you want to make sure you're eating for those goals. Check out our macro calculator here www.jumpropedudes.com/jump-rope-dudes-calculator
The Get Fit bundle would be your best option. That's the 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 pounds. Use DOTHETHING for 10% off! www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes
Does it help building muscles with a heavy rope
Ryan Yeung - heavy ropes are going to challenge your muscles more. You'll get stronger! but if you're number one goal is to pack on lean muscle like Dwayne Johnson, you probably wanna hit the gym.
I’m 5.4” should I get a small or medium?
#4 for the win!!!!!!
🙏🏽
Brother I want to improve height. Can I buy heavy rope or jump rope
Height is function of genetics. Jump rope (or any other activity) can’t modify your genes.... but jumping can help with your posture and make you stand a little taller.
Man even the 1lb is a serious burn I don't know how you swing around that 2lb rope
J P - It's HEAVY!
@@JumpRopeDudes all I need is the 2lb rope to make my whole collection.
Man I did a push up work out with the 1lb rope and God danm my arms shoulders were burning like crazy
Do heavy ropes help with learning tricks?
Daniel Price - many think so! the added feedback really helps you with your timing! You can slow it down to practice when you are using a heavy rope!
@@JumpRopeDudes Thank you! I'm trying to figure out which kindI should use at the moment. Ice been struggling with some tricks using my speed rope.
It's all about the new crossrope infinity sets these days.
Llama Warrior - love those ropes!
@@JumpRopeDudes for real broooo. I fuckin loved my first set of crossrope... I didn't really think that shit could be topped... But I bought the infinity n holy shit. They are way smoother.
Llama Warrior - infinity handles are DOOOOPE! you get some 3's?
I went from 205 to 180 in 3 months !! Been consistently working out still !
I wanna hit my goal 155 !!
.
So whoever is reading this our goals will come true
What's the name of the rope ? I want to buy
You can check it out here: www.crossrope.com/jumpropedudes
I got a 2 pound rope, do I need a mat to jump so it doesn’t destroy my rope?
You always want to try to jump on a mat to help lengthen the life of your rope!
Can you make a video with the 10lbs rope?, you know the long metal chain that you tow a car with, just for the kicks of it
Soon!
Is it true that a weighted jump rope is a must for a beginner?
It allows you to feel the rotation of the rope which in turn, makes it easier for a beginner!
What’s the name of that song at the beginning?
Danymite hazard - my dude. Sorry. We use that service to use music legally. In order for you to get to those track names, you gotta be a subscriber too. We know. It stinks, but it's what we must do :(
Hmm...ok. Well you guys are awesome
I'm 220. How long should I jump rope a day bro?
We shoot for 30 min, 5x per week!
@@JumpRopeDudes thanks bro
I got mine today!
Where do u buy your ropes
Nigel Grant - www.crossrope.com/zendudefitness
165 euro for a jumping rope. You guys are fucking crazy
I am 17 years old so can I use heavy ropes
100% yes! crossrope.com/jrd
Ok thank you
Bought the 1/4 and 1 pound rope. I can jump the 1 pound rope for about 30 jumps and I’m spent. So incredibly hard (for a female). I now have a goal to strive for :)
Kimberly Deprey - male, female, child or adult... skipping rope for 30 mins is tough!
Female, over 40, I’m getting better with the 1/4 pound already. Ordered the bolt speedrope set. Having the most trouble keeping tension on the rope with the heavier handles.
keep it going
Can you bulid murscle by jumping rope?
Daniel Pawela - th-cam.com/video/UQhp_tpF7i8/w-d-xo.html
You lil slow huh
Would a jump rope with weight in the handles have the same effect?
ZymixProductions - no. a weighted rope distributes the resistance through centripetal force.
