As a time saver, go to your start menu (little logo in the bottom corner). Find the app you want on the desktop, left click and drag it to the desired spot. Easy.

Hi Brian, thank you, I like your videos. Can you explain why in one of your vids you have a blank icon on your desktop, think it's the one about Win 10 dos troubleshooting. Only I have the same issue, every time I load or replace my Aomei Partition Assistant the desktop icon its blank, yet the Start and taskbar Aomei icon is perfect, the moment I put this particular icon on my desktop, it goes blank, I have a Samsung 4k monitor, Win 10 pro, and NVidia GF 780 graphics card. I don't even know why I watch many of Your videos, as most of them nowdays are windows 10 and I don't use that. I guess I just like Your smooth voice and find Your videos relaxing and entertaing to watch. You are really good at explaining things in a simple way. Somehow I just really like Your videos even if I dislike windows 10. :)

The issues I’m having is everytime I want to save a page or site to my desktop and I right click and put create shortcut it saves it the icon on my desktop, now when I click on the icon from the desktop it doesn’t take me to the page or site I wanted to save it just takes me to the internet like Google instead

I tried VLC with no luck, and I have a life's worth of photos which I can't access :(

You 100% sure DVD is not bad? or the DVD Drive is not bad?
+Britec09 It was fine until I was forced to reinstall the newest Windows 10 edition (anniversary or whatever its called) due to a virus inflection.
I went through my stack of CD's and DVD's.
Apparently my DVD Drive will only read CD's (photos /music) and application software/programs.
It seems that it will not read DVD's (photos/videos) for some odd reason!

I knew a whole 5 minutes video on creating shortcuts was a red flag.

I did a way easier trick i lost my steam from my desktop but went to files and when i found its file i hold mouse1 on it and drag it to desktop and then boom! Its on my desktop screen so use this trick instead
