I've had Wyze cameras for several months, they are nice when working, but they eventually always have connectivity problems, power cycling does nothing, power cycling the modem does nothing. Sometimes they eventually start working again on their own or partially work for a few seconds then recycle again and I've tried everything and nothing resolves the connectivity failure.. Along with the Wyze cams I have Ring cameras and alarm on the same internet and modem, the Ring cameras never have this problem, but they also cost a lot more. I've had the Wyze cams work properly for months then start having connectivity failures for no apparent reason that lasts way too long.
I've had slight issues connecting sometimes but they've always connected pretty quick. Until now. I had to delete it to try and re-add to app and cam won't even turn on. Any suggestions. I've tried holding setup and nothing.
So I have had my Wyze v1 for 3 years Never had a problem until yesterday. Gonna try power cycle. FYI My Ring doorbell I have unexplained connectivity PROBLEMS From the first week and the support is terrible the camera can’t be recycled unless taken off the door.

I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. I am thinking seriously about adding another camera or two to my 3 camera system. The price is lower than a lot of comparable systems.
My wyze worked prefectly for a month or so. For the last few months it has sat unplugged on a shelf. Decided to try it again today.. and the same thing. No live feeds, just the error 90

If the light is flashing yellow you may need to set up your camera again and once you go through the setup process you should be able to connect to the live-stream. I get to the point of "ready to connect" and it will not scan the code on my phone. I have a screenshot that shows the code is not fully displayed, which many account for the problem. Please advise.
Hello there. It sounds like you either have your phone's magnify option turned on to the point that it's making everything on the screen bigger (mainly the font). You should be able to change this in your phone's display or accessibility settings. This would put the QR code completely in view. Another thing you can try is to pinch or swipe the QR code upwards to bring it into view.
We’ve a bunch of Wyze cameras….work great. What I want to say though is it’s so refreshing to listen to a young person that doesn’t upspeak! Drives me bananas! Not every statement is a question, so don’t make it a question. Congratulations Wyze, great spokesperson.
Just bought the v3 cam and out of the box had connection issues, eventually I got it to work and it did for one day but after the firmware update it basically broke my camera. I’ve tried multiple steps to reconnect with no luck, and as another commenter said customers shouldn’t have to jump through these technical loops to have a working product. I gave you my money in exchange for a working product, wyze delivered on their end for one whole day.

Many people having this issues with the V3s. Time to make an instructional video for all instead of attempting to solve one user at a time. Wyze you are not being wise.
Wyze is a horrible company ..v3 playback will not work any more..even with cam plus sd playback still will not work on brand new cameras with brand new SD cards..I thought blink was bad...but wyze is 10 times worse..soo sick if lies from wyze also..the BBB is where u make a complaint and get refunded..

My V2 Wyze Cam gave me the Error 90 code this morning when I saw that it wasn't displaying any footage. I unplugged it from the wall and then plugged it in again but nothing happened. I'll try and do more when I come back from work, but I hope I don't have to factory reset. I only got the cam on Saturday and I'm getting error codes. Is this something I should expect in perpetuity?

Am I correct that if I had originally set up a camera on a network at home and want to take the camera to work and set it up on a network there that I will have to Reset the camera before attempting to setting it up on the new network?

Hi there! You should be able to reset your device and connect it to your new (compatible) Wi-Fi network without having to perform a factory reset. To do this, proceed with adding your device to the app as if it's a new device and connect it using your new Wi-Fi. Hope that helps. 😀

Every time this camera gets a firmware update it won't reconnect to the internet last time it took a week today I'm at day 3 and giving up hope I don't know what it is with these cameras but I have more trouble with V2 then I have any camera ever I honestly wish they would replace it it was a gift and it is giving me more trouble then it's worth

Dear WYZE - I’ve had two issues with the Spotlight Cameras not working after a software upgrade. The download didn’t load all the way. The network is not the problem - your software builds are. I’ve been successful in flashing one camera so far, the other is in a vacation home. Message: you need to test your software upgrades better. Customers should not have to perform technical tasks because you aren’t monitoring software upgrades effectively.
This didn't work. One of my cameras are "bricked" solid yellow light and won't respond. Apparently I need to go buy a computer memory card adapter and and micro SD card or something to update the firmware. This is getting ridiculous
The USB outlet can be used for daisy chaining or is also necessary for setting up the Wyze Sense Bridge which communicates with our Contact and Motion sensors! :)
My wyzecam was working fine so I bought two more. Now, my cameras are suddenly being disconnected and not sending alerts consistently for all cameras. I watched a bus drive by my home but no alert received. Also, SD cards no longer being recognized but had no issues with recognition of cards weeks ago. How long does it take for a response from tech support?

Hi there. If the video was uploaded properly, you’ll be able to either download or share the video from the same screen by tapping on the share icon. If those videos are not on the Events tab, then the camera either did not capture the event, the upload failed, or the clip was deleted or expired. If you had a microSD card installed in the camera, you can view the microSD card footage via the app or you can insert the card into a computer to retrieve any recordings that may be present. Brand new wyze cam v3 won't reset The light remains solid red, it doesn't flash even after holding the setup button for 10 seconds after powering it on without the micro sd card Support hasn't been helpful This started after inserting the 32gb micro sd card without formatting it first ( the card has been formatted since then ) The card isn't in while trying the reset, still no luck
Most of my cameras with SD cards are not recording. It keeps telling me no SD card. I unplug with no benefit. FORCE CLOSING no help.THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. Half of my cameras are hours away and the others are mounted in outdoor elevated conditions needing a ladder to access. Also I cannot play FAST FORWARD to find events...it can take literally HOURS to find something. Very frustrating product.
Okay so I too have had the wyze cam V2 for about 2 years now, but after the 1st yr. ended (07/21) literally within a week of the warranty running out, I lost use of 1 of 3 cams completely!?#&% Meaning: when I plugged it in after moving it to a different room, it's yellow light in the rear (to signify power to the unit) did not come on!? I tried everything changing the cord, changing the power brick, moving it to different socket, eventually calling customer support but the only answer they gave me was... we don't know what it could be? and your past the warranty so we can't help you. This sajan Mishra only because they were affordable for me in my current situation; I'm depended upon them since recently becoming the sole caregiver of a family member diagnosed with anesthesia related dementia just after cancer surgery in Nov. 2021! I desperately need the cameras to work in each location to have a constant watch over my loved one. And got no help or advice of any kind from the supposed highly-skilled tech support. Very disappointed & may be changing to a different brand very soon!
"Power cycling" is a joke. How are you supposed to do that if you are not at the location of the camera? I very often receive the recommendation from the phone app to "Power Cycle" the camera to see if it fixes the connectivity problem but how do I do that if I'm hundreds of miles away. What is the purpose of the camera anyway? Not a reliable system for video monitoring.

From there, you can restart the camera by pressing the button and checking to see if your camera connects. Yes, never connected to the network. Keeps saying does not recognize network and connection fail. I followed all the instructions for troubleshooting but nothing worked.

Does anyone know with the V2 why mine is blinking a blue light? I can't get it to do anything. I tried to reset it by holding it down for 15 seconds, then 20, then 30. Nothing worked. I can't get it to function properly
my wyze cam pan I bought like 3 months ago doesn't even turn on anymore. can't even return it. randomly turns on by itself and when it does it'll connect to wifi for a few minutes and then turns off again. would not recommend this product.
Hi there! You can power cycle your Wyze Cam Outdoor by flipping the power switch to the Off position for 30 seconds and then switching back to the ON position.

We have four cameras. We have done all the factory resets and the restarts all four cameras have connection fails. One might work for five minutes then it goes off-line. Same with the other ones. This is ridiculous! Our Wi-Fi is great. We have excellent speed and power.

the only reason to factory reset is to remove the new firmware, I have one cam that is useless now due to latest firmware, can't revert on compatable device or now non compatable devices, combine that with the person detection hat never worked, I will not be upgrading, I will be selling
I literally have the same situation. 2 ring cams and 1 Wyze cam. And the ring always works, and the Wyze works sometimes and not all other times. It’ll start and stop working at random times
Happy to share the info! When compared to v1, v2... Has better night vision. Has better audio. Has a matte finish instead of a glossy finish. Already has motion tagging (we want to put that one v1 but aren't sure if we'll be able to). Is stronger so it will be easier to put features on it. Does not have a magnet on top (it was interfering with the image). Does not have a light sensor and instead uses software to decide when to switch to night vision. And I think that just about covers it!
@@wyze I have the V3 but it is too bad she rushes through the Factory Reset part of the demo without highlighting where the reset button is. That is the main thing we need to see.

@@wyze Thanks. I see the pull away flap for inserting the SD Card. There is something on the other side but it isn't easy to access. It isn't that straight forward for someone who hasn't done it before. Definitely, I would contact Tech Support before doing this. You say is is on the bottom and I see a possible place but I think I need to uncover it and these details are important.
you get what you pay for.....mine camera worked great until I did a update which bricked it, they want to make older cameras unusable so you need to purchase new, these WYZE are cheap and work good when they work but I will never buy another. Firmware Flashing didn't work for me and I tried to contact customer support but was told it was out of warranty.
always have problems with these wyze cameras. Poor quality-where quality and consistency is crucial. Factory reset didn't help. Yellow light never came on regardless if the power cord in or out, held the button for 20, 25 and longer....nothing works. Similar issues with all of my other wyze cameras. The fact that only 627 people out of 200,000 views liked the video says it all.
Why do i have to reset my wyze? Unplugging will only help for a day. Totally resetting will only help for a week if you are lucky. I guess you only get what you pay for. Time to upgrade 🤷

My V2 Wyze Cam gave me the Error 90 code this morning when I saw that it wasn't displaying any footage. I unplugged it from the wall and then plugged it in again but nothing happened. I'll try and do more when I come back from work, but I hope I don't have to factory reset. I only got the cam on Saturday and I'm getting error codes. Is this something I should expect in perpetuity?

Am I correct that if I had originally set up a camera on a network at home and want to take the camera to work and set it up on a network there that I will have to Reset the camera before attempting to setting it up on the new network?

“Can not connect local network” issue. I did try both internet connections and put correct password. I tried over and over it still not able to connect. I got two cameras from my friend so I did reset. Please advise how to connect.

Hi there! You should be able to reset your device and connect it to your new (compatible) Wi-Fi network without having to perform a factory reset. To do this, proceed with adding your device to the app as if it's a new device and connect it using your new Wi-Fi. Hope that helps. 😀

Hi there! The process is pretty similar. To power cycle your camera, unplug your camera for 5 seconds and then plug it back again. Every time this camera gets a firmware update it won't reconnect to the internet last time it took a week today I'm at day 3 and giving up hope I don't know what it is with these cameras but I have more trouble with V2 then I have any camera ever I honestly wish they would replace it it was a gift and it is giving me more trouble then it's worth

Dear WYZE - I’ve had two issues with the Spotlight Cameras not working after a software upgrade. The download didn’t load all the way. The network is not the problem - your software builds are. I’ve been successful in flashing one camera so far, the other is in a vacation home. Message: you need to test your software upgrades better. Customers should not have to perform technical tasks because you aren’t monitoring software upgrades effectively.

The USB outlet can be used for daisy chaining or is also necessary for setting up the Wyze Sense Bridge which communicates with our Contact and Motion sensors! :)
My wyzecam was working fine so I bought two more. Now, my cameras are suddenly being disconnected and not sending alerts consistently for all cameras. I watched a bus drive by my home but no alert received. Also, SD cards no longer being recognized but had no issues with recognition of cards weeks ago. Hi there. If the video was uploaded properly, you’ll be able to either download or share the video from the same screen by tapping on the share icon. If those videos are not on the Events tab, then the camera either did not capture the event, the upload failed, or the clip was deleted or expired.
If you had a microSD card installed in the camera, you can view the microSD card footage via the app or you can insert the card into a computer to retrieve any recordings that may be present.

Brand new wyze cam v3 won't reset
The light remains solid red, it doesn't flash even after holding the setup button for 10 seconds after powering it on without the micro sd card

Most of my cameras with SD cards are not recording. It keeps telling me no SD card. I unplug with no benefit. FORCE CLOSING no help.THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. Half of my cameras are hours away and the others are mounted in outdoor elevated conditions needing a ladder to access. Also I cannot play FAST FORWARD to find events...it can take literally HOURS to find something. Very frustrating product.

This sajan Mishra only because they were affordable for me in my current situation;
I'm depended upon them since recently becoming the sole caregiver of a family member diagnosed with anesthesia related dementia just after cancer surgery in Nov. 2021! I desperately need the cameras to work in each location to have a constant watch over my loved one. And got no help or advice of any kind from the supposed highly-skilled tech support. Very disappointed & may be changing to a different brand very soon!

"Power cycling" is a joke. How are you supposed to do that if you are not at the location of the camera? I very often receive the recommendation from the phone app to "Power Cycle" the camera to see if it fixes the connectivity problem but how do I do that if I'm hundreds of miles away. What is the purpose of the camera anyway? Not a reliable system for video monitoring.

From there, you can restart the camera by pressing the button and checking to see if your camera connects. Yes, never connected to the network. Keeps saying does not recognize network and connection fail. I followed all the instructions for troubleshooting but nothing worked.

my wyze cam pan I bought like 3 months ago doesn't even turn on anymore. can't even return it. randomly turns on by itself and when it does it'll connect to wifi for a few minutes and then turns off again. would not recommend this product.

Hi there! You can power cycle your Wyze Cam Outdoor by flipping the power switch to the Off position for 30 seconds and then switching back to the ON position.

We have four cameras. We have done all the factory resets and the restarts all four cameras have connection fails. One might work for five minutes then it goes off-line. Same with the other ones. This is ridiculous! Our Wi-Fi is great. We have excellent speed and power.

the only reason to factory reset is to remove the new firmware, I have one cam that is useless now due to latest firmware, can't revert on compatable device or now non compatable devices, combine that with the person detection hat never worked, I will not be upgrading, I will be selling
I literally have the same situation. 2 ring cams and 1 Wyze cam. And the ring always works, and the Wyze works sometimes and not all other times. It’ll start and stop working at random times

Has better night vision.
Has better audio.
Has a matte finish instead of a glossy finish.
Already has motion tagging (we want to put that one v1 but aren't sure if we'll be able to).
Is stronger so it will be easier to put features on it.
Does not have a magnet on top (it was interfering with the image).
Does not have a light sensor and instead uses software to decide when to switch to night vision.
And I think that just about covers it!

@@wyze Thanks. I see the pull away flap for inserting the SD Card. There is something on the other side but it isn't easy to access. It isn't that straight forward for someone who hasn't done it before. Definitely, I would contact Tech Support before doing this. You say is is on the bottom and I see a possible place but I think I need to uncover it and these details are important.
That flap is where you insert your microSD card. The setup button is marked, SETUP, on the bottom of the camera with a rectangle indent around it.
I've had cams before, but WYZE is not so wise. CONSTANT issues and lately it just BUZZES .. - JUNK.
you get what you pay for.....mine camera worked great until I did a update which bricked it, they want to make older cameras unusable so you need to purchase new, these WYZE are cheap and work good when they work but I will never buy another. Firmware Flashing didn't work for me and I tried to contact customer support but was told it was out of warranty.

always have problems with these wyze cameras. Poor quality-where quality and consistency is crucial. Factory reset didn't help. Yellow light never came on regardless if the power cord in or out, held the button for 20, 25 and longer....nothing works. Similar issues with all of my other wyze cameras. The fact that only 627 people out of 200,000 views liked the video says it all.
Why do i have to reset my wyze? Unplugging will only help for a day. Totally resetting will only help for a week if you are lucky. I guess you only get what you pay for. Time to upgrade 🤷
