    I did all of this with my first Wyze cam 2, and it installed very easily. The second camera will not function, when you press the setup button nothing happens, no tone, no ready to connect, just silence. I tried several times so I believe the camera is just defective.

    My first V2 model connected to wifi easily but the phone notifications didn't work. Returned that one and on my second unit I had trouble getting connected to wifi. I did pretty much all the steps, reset to factory specs and rebooted phone. I finally went into my router settings, turned off the security features, turned off the 5Ghz radio, and rebooted the router (via the software reboot button). After a second (or third ?) factory reset and, the router tweaks, it finally connected. Before the router tweaks I did verify the unit was trying to connect to a 2.4Ghz radio. Right away a phone notification worked as well, once. I'll give it a cool off period to try the notifications again.

This is my only gripe so far with them. These are not perfect by any means, but so far they are doing what I hoped they would do. Range on the motion detection is about what I expected, same with night vision. Easy installation also, targeting a specific area for the view was also easy

    The key for me in this video was when my man said that every network has a 2G and the reason I could not connect to the 2 G was because I need to forget the 5G, once I did that, all gravy. Very helpful, thank you sir.

      @@danieljuarez8126 lol Setting up an account is separate from physically "pushing the setup button" on the camera and hearing a voice prompt "Ready to connect". Anyone can download the app and setup an account without having to buy any Wyze product. That process just creates you an account on the server. Adding the device to the app requires you to physically push the button and waiting for the voice prompt (from the camera) "Ready to connect". The voice prompt doesn't even happen to continue on to the next step.

    I have plugged in my cam and the back light is yellow, no blinking just yellow. No matter how long I hold the setup button I get no change. I have unplugged and restarted several times using different connections and outlets, please advise.

      Amazing no one answers the question .... solid yellow light on a cam already set up. No help here, I guess.

    Just picked up a couple of Cam OG and they refused to connect to the Wyze cloud. Returning them. Can we please stop using the cloud if you have access to microSD?

    I've entered everything correctly and have checked all setting ate correct and can't set up the camera. It has timed me out 10 times! This is frustrating! Why does it keep timing out????

    I was really happy with my cams until one stopped working after firmware upgrade. I have reset a few times and I can’t get it to connect. I have been trying to get in-touch with Wyzecam and they have not responded to emails and my phone calls drop after 10 min on hold when I am number two or three in line. What is going. On?? I also ordered a version 2 when they sent an email and have no idea when it will drive. I sure hope they are not screwing customers.

      I tried to download the software for the Wyse cam v3 camera, they say free but they ask for my credit card. There is so much internet fraud that I don't trust giving out my credit card. Is this a possibility of fraud?
      Why is it so complex to operate this camera with my cell phone?

    I found out for ME, that the best way to RE-SET up a camera when you have to get a NEW Router because mine broke, is to "add new camera, start over, re-name the camera" then the app removes the first name, and ALL WORKS again.

      That is correct! At this point, there is no other way to change the network information for Wyze Cam.

    I kept getting the "Connection Failed" issue when connecting the camera to the wireless network. It took me an hour to figure out that I needed to connect to the 2.4 GHz network. Yes, I knew this but I have two networks and connected to the wrong one. I also connected my phone to the 2.4 GHz network. I have had this device for over a year and not once have I ever heard a voice during set-up. I think it helps to move the camera directly around the QR code. It's a good sign when the lights blink yellow and blue, which means it's attempting to connect to your network. The last step in the set-up process should take about 30 seconds. If it's taking too long to connect, there's something wrong with the network. Don't bother waiting 5 minutes for it to connect.

      Hope you were able to return them for a refund. Lefun Cams are much better, so are YI cams. Wyze has horrible track record with their products, all but for the price which what good is price point when the product is poorest working on the market!

    READY TO CONNECT WITH A YELLOW LIGHT BUT ON MY PHONE THE SCREEN IS BLACK WHERE IT SAYS OFFLINE. i TOOK TOOK THE PLUG OUT OF THE BASE STATION AND WAITED 3 MIN. THE FRONT PORCH IS WORKING BUT THE LIVING ROOM IS STILL BLACK SCREEN. CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE?

    Advice given in his first 30 seconds solved the problem. Initially I was unable to add new cam, advice on cam was to retry login credentials, that failed. then restart modem/router - that failed. He said to shut off wyze app, disconnect new cam, then retry. Worked .

    That"ready to connect" is creeping me out, it only needs to say that once! It continually says it and now that's all i hear in my head

    The set up button is not prompting ready to connect. How hard do you press it? I’ve tried lightly and harder and now the button is bending slightly into the hole. How on earth do I set this up? Light is staying on flashing yellow.

    When will wyze repair the playback function on wyze doorbell timeline section of app? Always getting error message that says no player available. This is really ridiculous. Why can't wyze just send the video player already.

    Just bought one today. I watch your videos with your daughter.. I was not looking for a camera, but I trust you which sounds so dumb as a consumer, but that is why I bought it. I do need a second camera at my house so it will be helpful

    Got a new router from isp. Eero smart router. I have gone through the steps, but cameras say the can not find network. I have gone through the eero app to change settings,but can not find where to switch networks.

      Was having the same issue. I Kept reading the comments and I found the answer. If u haven’t figured it out yet, You have to basically just start over and go thru set up again. Click ‘add new product’ and go from there.

      @@nikki-xc9kh The eero 5g network overpowers all others. I called Eero tech support and they turn off the 5g network so I could ad my wyze cameras. soon as I was able to connect, they turn 5g back on. My signal is the best it has ever been and all of my cameras are 100% operational. Thanks to eero tech support

    What's the best sensitivity to receive notifications for human movement? I have placed the camera in my house facing out a window. I want all humans in the 20m distance (up until the end of my driveway) to trigger motion but not the cars on the road past the 20m point. Any advice on which sensitivity for motion would be the best for that?

    MY WYZECAM V2 WAS WORKING FINE THEN QUIT. I UNPLUGGED IT AND PLUGGED IT BACK IN AND GOT A FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT BUT CAN'T CONNECT TO MY PHONE. ( ERROR CODE 90) NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS.

    I’m having a problem with my Cam Pan not recognizing my brand new San Disk 32gb sd card. I’ve inserted sd card and it does not make that sound you mentioned in another you tube. Plus on my camera entry it says no sd card inserted when it’s in there. Help?

    Im going to sell mine on offer up, this camera is really bad, it disconnects constantly and the its really hard to connect the camera if you update the firmware.

    New setup and I just had a delivery at my front door. when I went to playback I hear the delivery person and I spoke to her but dont see us on the recorded video.. seems the video is a static picture. Vid captur goes from 3:06-3:08 can hear everything.. just no video? WIFI 2.4g is 60Mbps download and 6.5Mps upload. Brand new 16GB class 10 card. Device info: WIFI strength 92%. Please create video for these types of issues.

    I would like to change the internet that it's on. When I first set up the cameras I connected them to a Comcast internet , since then I have purchased a separate Verizon internet service I would like to switch them over to that it seems to be a little bit more reliable. emphasize on the( little bit) For the life of me I have looked over the app and cannot figure out how to change it. Any help would be appreciated thanks

    Wyze am outdoors doesn’t have “view playback”, nothing I do fixed, replaced as cards, turning off/on don’t help either.

      Hey there! "Playback" or "Continuous Recording" functionality isn't available on our battery-powered cameras including Wyze Cam Outdoor v1 and v2. This is because they are designed to go to sleep in between recordings to stretch their battery life, and will only wake up to record when their PIR sensors detect heat.
      For a great outdoor cam that can do Continuous Recording, please check out Wyze Cam v3!

    I pre-ordered and received the V2 came in February. They both were working until a couple days ago. One of them doesn't anymore and I have tried every step Wyze has suggested. I can always get to the QR Code part, but after that it won't connect.

    Bought two more recently. One doesn't talk during setup. Also, no sound from speaker during use. Siren doesn't work. Is there a volume setting? Can't find that setting anywhere

    I bought 2 wyze cam , the install went fine and then it asked for upgrade immediately , after 5 min it said upgrade failed and it stopped working ever since .. I removed the devise and tried to add it back but it always shows the solid yellow light (doesn't blink) . I tried to unplug , tried to press the reset button for 20 sec( no change at all ) , but nothing seem to work .. please suggest

    My cameras are not recording events, I've checked everything, they were recording but I noticed the past couple days they haven't recorded anything. Memory card is fine and has alot of space, I've reset the cams, I've checked my settings. I don't understand

    I am still learning the ins and outs of this camera. So far I am well satisfied. I have a 16GB microcard installed. Do I have to shut down the camera to replace it with a 32GB card?

    My issue 2024 is the WYZE can pan 3 get more attention to the tv to the others events!!! So frustrating

    the problem I have is that I put the camera on a cover to put it outside. to reset I unplug the plug from the outlet. still does not work it is very frustrating. To push that button I have to take the cover off. Is any other way to do this procedure. Help.

    I'm trying to setup the wyze cam v2 for the second time and the camera just isn't responding, the first time I was able to carry out the setup without any hazzels. After setup was completed for the first time, for some reason, I removed the camera from the app and i'm unable to carry out the setup again as the camera isn't responding. How do I setup the camera again ? The part where the camera responds ready to connect is where I'm stuck at. Kindly revert.

    I have a v4 camera, works fine for about 6 month and now the light is solid red, i can connect to the camera, and if i try to restart nothing happens, just from time to time the red light blink 1 time and then go to solid red again....

      Nothing new and Wyze knows it, but they keep selling them with faulty SD card readers. Horrible company, imo.

    Hi...I just got mine and tried to set it up. First problem...there was no film to remove so I'm questioning if I got a new camera or if this was a return because..Ta Daa....nothing happens when I plug it in. No yellow light...nothing.

      Hi, Ellen! Sorry to hear about this! Was there a bag around your Wyze Cam when it arrived?
      Definitely sounds like SOMETHING there is a dud! Do you have a different adapter and power cable (such as for a phone) that you can try? It may be the power supplies and, if so, that will mean that we can get you up and running faster. :)

      Dre S I have mine sent on 4g as it says. But I can’t stream anything else bc it’s not enough WiFi. I still have problems getting camera connected. I kinda gave up.

      No one talks about how to find 5ghz or 2.4ghz. If I can change it from 5 to 2.4, does that slow my computer down?

    I did the webcam firmware on my Wyze Cam v2 before connecting to my phone. Now the link just blinks blue but it is not speaking “ready to Connect” were should I go for help setting it up?

    So bummed this isn't connecting to my internet. I don't know if I run on 5G or how to decrease the speed. Why can't you make a camera that works on 5G?

      No shit! 2 of my cameras hook up just fine now the 3rd won’t and they say it has to be less. Even went to the garage to see if it went down 2.4 no luck! Stupid!

    I have a crack on my screen that affects my camera. Is there anyway I can switch to the camera on the back of the phone? Also you pointed at the lens and not the we code. Is that where I need to scan? I was trying to scan the printed qr code.

      When setting up the camera, the Wyze Cam's lens needs to scan the QR code displayed on your phone's screen -- not the one printed on the Wyze Cam.
      If you have a crack on the screen, you may need to use a different phone (perhaps a family member or friend's) or tablet in order to complete the setup process.

    It read the qr code at first, now it just wont read it at all. I'm trying again because of course the connection timed out. I've been sitting here for long trying to get it to scan. It's going back to the store.

    Amazing. If every Chines manufacturer would understand the value of a REAL CS such as what I see here..... BTW this camera was the best $20 I've ever spent. Especially love its in-house Time lapse feature. Fantastic.

    Maybe im trippin but it seems it has alot of issues connecting or staying connected and having to check firewalls an hard boot the whole internet an system 😢 while i was holding setup up button i was getting broken into an wasnt able to get it on video 😭😭

      I tried to download the software for the Wyse cam v3 camera, they say free but they ask for my credit card. There is so much internet fraud that I don't trust giving out my credit card. Is this a possibility of fraud?
      Why is it so complex to operate this camera with my cell phone?

    PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!!!!! My Wyze cam is connected to the home network wi-fi. Whenever I leave home I try and view my camera on my cellphone to check in on my animals, but it will not let me. It keeps showing me connection failed or camera not connected. I have even tried my mobile data only when I'm home and it says the same thing, but as soon as I connect my mobile phone to my home network wi-fi it lets me view it perfectly fine. When I am away from home the app still sends me alerts and playback videos of motion and I'm able to view them but can't connect via live stream. Please help I need to be able to check on my animals when I'm away from home because one of them has severe anxiety every time it storms and I'm not home. Anxiously awaiting your reply.

      Thanks for reaching out to us, Joel. IF you are moving the camera keep in mind that it would have to be on the same network in order to continue working. It could be that when you moved the camera the connection got reset once you plugged it back in so we would recommend just trying to set up the Wyze Cam again to get it connected. If you are still having issues after you try that, we would recommend reaching out to our support team so we can help look into this. :)

    How can I set the internal clock to the correct time of day? Any intruders caught on the cam will not show the time they were active on our property.

    I bought my camera in may 2024 it was working fine but now is looking black and white even a a day I being call customer service and nobody answered, chatting and nobody can help me with this😡

      Hi there! It sounds like you have the Night Vision filter turned on. Let's go to your camera Settings and then Advanced Settings. From there, scroll under Night Vision Mode and tap Auto or Off.

      I’ve been trying for MONTHS to no avail. I’ve reached out to customer service 2 times. If I could only get someone on the phone I’m sure that would help but sending emails back and forth doesn’t help when the customer has no clue of the background of networking and such. It worked for me before and just stopped. I’m so frustrated.

    I setup two cameras yesterday and this morning one of them stopped working it kept giving an error code so I deleted the camera and I am trying to re add but it's not allowing me to because when I select the setup button I hear nothing and the yellow light is not flashing

    Ok i have a wyze 3 we did a reset our problem is we get login to our network and move to scan there is already a QR code showing so we dont get the message from the cam saying i heard "QR Scanned we have tried a lo to different things 1 our camera setting
    ( the camera scans other QR codes no problem ) ( but if we do click 1 Heard the qR code and move to next the unit keeps saying ready to conect . any idea why and what to do .

    Done with Wyze. I’ve heard ready to connect ten thousand times for my v3. It will not scan no matter what I do. The second I switch it to setup as a v1/v2 cam it instantly scans but obviously runs into trouble because it isn’t that generation. But it will not scan in the same exact position when I switch back to v3. Give me my money back.

    My Wyze cam stops continuous recording randomly only time I notice it is when I need to go back in and check video I have no video recorded so I have to reset and then it starts recording again. But it’s only a matter of time before it does it again very disappointing.

    absolute worst experience ever trying to get the V2 working. 4 devices and all had issues. Still not live streaming. And yes it is on 2GH not 5.8 and tried all the tips. None worked QR code impossible to load on 2 devices after 15 attempts each. Not good Wyze. Please help . I may make a youtube vid to get this resolved. Steve

    When I get to the "Select a network" it shows my network but indicates that it is locked which it is not. I have checked my settings and confirmed that it is not locked. If I attempt to connect, the connection fails

    Any estimates on the motion sensor fix? I Havnt had mine on since it sent me a hundred notifications of Videos with nothing moving. Lowest setting too.

      We actually don't use a motion sensor. WyzeCam operates using a pixel comparison algorithm to detect changes in the scene and, unfortunately, is a bit too sensitive right now. You're probably getting videos involving minor movements or lighting changes (which look like nothing if you're looking for actual movement). We're sorry about this! It's one of our top priorities to fix.

    I just renamed my internet network and all 4 of my cameras stopped working, how do I reconnect them? I guess it's looking for my original network name and didn't find it since I changed the name? so now how to I connect the cameras with my cam plus features to each cam again?

      Hey Cecilio! If you change your network name and password to be the same as your old internet network, the cameras should start working again. If you'd like to update them to use the new network info, this will require a reset of each device and a fresh setup. You'll be able to link them back up with their Cam Plus licenses after the reset.

    Hi:
    I had a dickens of a time this afternoon getting it connected. We have a 2.4 system but I had to go into my wireless settings and change them. A little inconvenient, but the picture is incredible. I have an outdoor camera which I got on Christmas. I charged it. And we are one week full into using it. I've set it up outside in a great spot and I haven't had to charge it yet. Incredible cameras. I bought two of the $20 ones and still INCREDIBLE pictures and functions.

    "Everybody with a WiFi connections has a 2.4GHz network": wrong information. My Apple router has only 5GHz... no 2.4...
