@Zagros everyone that enters the academy is in for a reason. once you are in the academy everything is paid for by the club.

Get rid of pay to play system and introduce training compensation and the US players will get better overnight. The inherent greed in Americans will always been an obstacle to do the right things for them. Just look at their politics, healthcare, slave history and weak gun laws. The pay to play system in the US where it makes soccer more expensive to play as a kid than American football, where it costs more to play in amateur kids team than it does to play in the Barcelona academy is ridiculous. The goal of youth development in the US is not to find the best players, but to find rich parents to pay the ridiculous fees kids teams charge. Other countries kids play for free so it becomes about finding talent not rich parents.
So you have to appeal to the greed in Americans and give them training compensation if a kid goes pro. Overnight these greedy coaches would leave suburbs of America and go into the inter cities to find better athletes and more hungrier kids to train, if they knew they could get $1 Millions if that player goes pro.

Delboy0 They don't pay to play in the academy your argument doesn't make any sense and is irrelevant parents don't have to pay anything if their kid gets into an MLS team academy don't comment on something you don't know and they made the training compensation because owners would spend millions on academy and wouldn't get anything in return because again parents don't pay anything so it wasn't fair that European clubs came and took these talents without having to pay although in Europe if you take a kid you have to pay.

@@mojozach7688 Don't confuse rich with greed. Premier League teams are rich but they do a hell of a lot more for their communities than Americans sports teams. Man City built a training facility city in Manchester that members of public can use and well as football projects with schools and disabled. Plus all Premier League academies are free so any kid a can play regardless of background. The irony is if the French World Cup winning team had been born in the US they all would have been too poor to play soccer in the US

By the time trained coaches have access to these athletes they manage the tools they have been given and implement the program. You are only as good as the tools you are given and development of these athletes varies wildly. Desired measurable results and standards are still subjective and feelings-based, which is not what world-class programs produce. This kind of presentation turns my stomach and is a stark reminder of what world-class bureaucratic baloney looks like. Parts of this presentation are a showcase of how to justify processes that retain athletes in a program until coaches can identify a better player. A sign of a quality program is that successful players are manufactured products and not celebrated as examples to other athletes within your own program.

Your post has words in it, but put together I don't know what you are saying. You are trying to imply something but don't use hard nouns in your post. Oh by the way George Bello was just sold to a Bundesliga team for 3.75M dollars.
