The 2019/2020 25 player CFC squad cost more than £500 million, its the 4th most expensive squad in the pl, so it’s not like they have brought players through from youngsters (at no cost) the majority of the team have been bought in, so not the youth system really, some clubs bring players up from before teenage age and then into the first team, Arsenal have 4 players in first team squad that started with the club before they turned 10, one joining when he was 4.5 years old,

There's no other English team that has produced as many young talents and have won as many youth level tournaments. It's quite clear Chelsea has the best academy. The reason most never saw the Chelsea first team was the constant change of managers at the club who prioritized their own careers over the development of youth which was highlighted in this video. Great piece. I doubt any club in the world was as prepared as Chelsea to handle a ban when the team was in the kind of shape it was at the end of last season. I believe that if the club shows faith in Lampard and his team, we have the unique chance of building a proper philosophy and approach that is distinctively Chelsea, not unlike what Ajax has been doing for a long time. As for young players keeping their places, I believe most of them will do so. New signings will be more concerned with replacing the old guard (Willian, Pedro, Giroud) or our players who might attract interest from other clubs (Kante and Alonso).
@@medodrama9487 Barca have expressed interest in him multiple times, if I'm not wrong. He'd do well as an Alba replacement too, not a lot of rough defending needed in that league.
Many people actually forget that Alonso can also play as a CB which was the position Barca wanted him for as a left footed CB where his lack of pace would not be too exposed.
What separates chelsea academy products is that they’re ready physically, technically and tactically to contribute at men’s level football by 17/18. Really good video on chelsea.s academy, Derby County have copied the Chelsea academy and this last season saw 9 of them breakthrough to the first team squad with 4 of them holding their place on merit and improving the team, You should do a video on Derby County as they have created a conveyor belt of academy players that have got into the first team and have established a pathway, it can only get better for young players to know that there is a great academy which leads to first team football and not just loans out to other teams.
Criticism is slightly unfair. You don’t invest the time, money and effort in a youth player and the facilities they have without desiring them to succeed. A successful youth to senior transition is something that every club has struggled with. No one has got it right. Barcelona had it closest, but with the demand for success being so high and the payouts for success being so high, it makes sense to invest in the player most likely to contribute towards that success. What Chelsea are proving this season is that their youth set up has produced players good enough to make that transition. But I think this current group of players are the first to be good enough to do what they’re doing. Previous groups haven’t been, and that comes from years of refining the academy set up to produce players driven by success with the right mental and physical attributes in order to make that step up... BUT it also comes from the club’s acknowledgement that they aren’t going to win the league this season and so the manager and therefore the players are being asked to to live up to a different standard

al ex because they’re given an opportunity and that league is nowhere near as competitive as the premier league let’s not be silly the pressure and demands of playing for a club like chelsea is significantly higher than somewhere like Ajax. Chelsea loan players at Vitesse end up having incredible seasons for a team much lesser than Ajax and you actually believe that chelsea wouldn’t do better? Tammy scores 25 goals for Bristol at 18 years old which is far more difficult than a top club like Ajax in a very poor league like the eredivisie. Imagine sending Hudson Odoi to a PSV right now they probably win the leage
@@mashwork6615 chelsea has a great youth academy, but stop overhyping, you're lucky the transfer ban is in effect, and with a different manager otherwise you'd be stuck there watching Pedro and Willian.
bayu mantari It’s because Ajax players are given a platform to shine. In the youth leagues Chelsea dominate even Ajax, their youth teams are one of if not’s the strongest in Europe. Give most of those guys a platform like Ajax and they’ll shine. P.S. watch youth team games.
I think Lampard has to be the man to establish a philosophy for Chelsea - something that will carry from the youth level all the way to the senior levels.
Chelsea have been churning out talent for years and sending them all over europe - one season they had sent over 40 players out on loan and fifa was considering clamping down on the talent hoarding. Terry is their ONLY successful youth product and even musonda went on record saying “if they had messi, he still wouldn’t get a chance” Chelsea aren’t doing anything new, they’re playing catch up in that aspect - clubs like arsenal have been pushing out youth for fun since 98, even man utd under fergie had a reputation for playing youth despite being very successful.
@@JipsonJohnson I never mentioned them being academy graduates 🤷♂️. My point is that up until now (thanks to the transfer ban), chelsea weren't known for promoting young talent.
The Chelsea's youth academy will be better than the FC Barcelona's academy but La Masia will always be WAY BETTER than other big clubs' youth academies. Força Barça
Charly Musonda is unthankfull to CFC, he is ego, so greed on the ball, not a very good passer & always lose the ball. Thats why he is not in any team 1st eleven. Talent is 1 thing. But nowadays talent alone can't make you great, even a not very talented player can be better, they just need to work hard, absorb everything & be humble. Charly will never make it IF HE NOT WILLING TO CHANGE. There is a lot more academy player waiting for their chances, charly will fade away & he will be known as failure or flop, a guy who did not live to his expectation

Is this a bad joke or what? I still remembered 4 or 5 years ago I had curiosity to see the players of the team on loaned and Chelsea had more than 40 around the world that is stupid and makes the impression to try to control and manage all the promise players many even with a minute in the team must be a maximun not just a punishment to not signed for a season and forced them to sell otherwise its gonna be the same always
The difference is arsenals best performers this season have been their first team players. The only standout youth player so far I would say has been Joe wilock
Really? not a single one of these players has won a trophy and you dare suggest that it has one of the BEST academies?? How much have they produced over the past decade compared to teams like Southhampton? This is a joke
Let's be real here. Chelsea academy is just like any other academy with no clear pathway for young players , so what do they do. Is loan 80% of their young players to competitive teams.
I had to listen twice. Academy. Scouts round the world. My bull detector is going off. So Cut The BullShit. All These Kids ain't All Scouted From Other Clubs. These Are Kids From The Estates. And as for the Ballon d’or candidates and national team players haha. Give it a few years I promise you At the very least 3 of these players will reach that level. remember this comment.
Bro look at the talent academies like Ajax and Barcelona have produced since pretty much the beginning of football. In my opinion at least youth team trophies don't mean shit unless it actually somehow translates into the first team's success.

I wanted my club Barca too get transfer ban so we can once again produce La Masia players
I think Lampard has to be the man to establish a philosophy for Chelsea - something that will carry from the youth level all the way to the senior levels.
Excellent talent ✨
Academy and marketing buyer.both is need.
Let's not forget they once had two world beaters in Salah and KDB. 🤭
@@Flinstone_Edible they arent academy graduates
@@JipsonJohnson I never mentioned them being academy graduates 🤷♂️. My point is that up until now (thanks to the transfer ban), chelsea weren't known for promoting young talent.
@@Flinstone_Edible salah was not a world beater when he was with us
@@RasenRendanX that's because he wasn't given a chance.
The Chelsea's youth academy will be better than the FC Barcelona's academy but La Masia will always be WAY BETTER than other big clubs' youth academies. Força Barça
Bro can you do the video of different between strikers and forwards?
Good job mate😅😅
Chelsea won the champion league with their academy player
Please please bring back the saxophone intro!!
He was injured for 3 seasons

No one comes close to Chelsea
A lack of transition from the Academy to the first team. Changing managers may be a reason.
Are you from South Africa?
Surely there is a change in their philosophy. It was looking like they were going to sell Tammy for 5-10m and now hes worth 30+m
30m?? Lol he's going for a hundred at the very least.

"The Best" is a bold statement.
La masia be like:Am I a joke to u??
la masia is past. now lama sia is nothing
La Chelsia
over ajax next
cool video
Looks like they took everything that West Ham had
Isn’t Bertrand 30?
Easy. They were forced to play them due to the transfer ban
No u spastic
Is this a bad joke or what? I still remembered 4 or 5 years ago I had curiosity to see the players of the team on loaned and Chelsea had more than 40 around the world that is stupid and makes the impression to try to control and manage all the promise players many even with a minute in the team must be a maximun not just a punishment to not signed for a season and forced them to sell otherwise its gonna be the same always
Have you not been watching Arsenal?!
They win uefa youth champions league wtf
The narrator sounds South African
Let's be real here. Chelsea academy is just like any other academy with no clear pathway for young players , so what do they do. Is loan 80% of their young players to competitive teams.
Dumb fuck
Do ronaldo juve evolution

I had to listen twice. Academy. Scouts round the world. My bull detector is going off. So Cut The BullShit. All These Kids ain't All Scouted From Other Clubs. These Are Kids From The Estates. Around The area. And Lets Say At Chelsea 10 Kids start At 8. 8 Kids are Still there At 16. And then 10 Get A Look In. Whereas other teams 10 start. 4 maybe. What makes our team so good. They wanna play footy for the club. They aint been spoilt with material and paper. They got spirit in their hearts. Not 160.000 A Week in their pocket..
Arsenal have the better academy

Yeh but we did take 3players from academy and 5 from loan so it makes it to 8 and Juventus have had much more loanes
Its all because of lampard
A Scatter Gun??
It feels so disingenuous saying their academy is great tho? The team that thought Salah and De Bruyne weren't good enough, the team that has only had 1 notable player (Terry) come out of it's academy in 20 years, is apparently the best? Nah, they're just lucky.
Credit to Lampard though at least he's made them interesting to watch with the younger lot coming through
At the time they were not. But yeah, you can create a Champion's League winning team with Chelsea rejects.

Ajax and Schalke 04 are still laughing about the Titel of this video
Lol since when is Chelsea's academy "the best?" They've never had a base of homegrown players and last time I checked they haven't produced many ballon d'or candidates let alone England national team stars...
watch the video bruh. the proof is right there. In the last decade No academy has won as many trophies in Europe as Chelsea academy. That alone makes them the best academy for the last 5-10 years.
Mau García Chelsea’s academy graduates are unproven at top level so I guess you are completely free to have ur opinions on it. But Just watch out for them in the future. they’re on the rise. And your opinions on them will eventually change because I am confident on the path they are on now they will prove they’re currently the best academy in Europe.
@@xJeffHD I mean fair play, they really do look like they have a good generation coming up. But 9 games into the season I think it's a bit strange to call them the best academy
Isn't Southampton's academy the best in England?

No they just promote players to the first team quicker
