      Cosmin Moti was a CB for Dinamo Bucharest for years compeeting with Steaua Bucharest as their biggest rivals. Then joined Ludogorets who was facing Steaua B in the play offs for CL groups .Their goalie was sent off right before extra time so he went in the goal and saved 2 penalties for ludogorets to qualify in the groups for the first time in history. Crazy

      If you look at the youth players who have come through Sheffield United over the last ten/fifteen years, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire, Phil Jagielka, Billy Sharp, David Brooks etc. They always seem to be very grounded, hardworking, family orientated, confident and pleasant young men. Kudos to Sheffield United, they must be doing something right and not only should be proud of the success these players have achieved but also for the men they become.

    When Guardiola was coaching Barcelona in Spain, Spain won the world cup, when he was coaching Bayern in Germany, Germany won the world cup, when he was coaching Man city In England they reached the semi finals after a long long time, and the common thing in all these successful national teams was the presence of the many players being coached by Guardiola in their respective clubs

      other than walker, stones and sterling, who else was in man city that played a pivotal role in Englands World Cup run? Guardiola improved a lot of the Spanish, German and the three English players I mentioned, however, your exaggerating his impact on those national teams...Spain btw won Euro 2008, and Guardiola became Barca coach after that triumph, showing Spain still would have been a force to be reckoned with without Guardiola as Barca coach...same with Germany, always reaching latter stages of tournaments, Euro 2012, World Cup 2010, etc..

Seemed a well spoken, intelligent and above all decent humble lad, that just wants to get better and help his club and country, of which he's a credit to both. Wish there was a lot more like him about these days, rather than the plethora of vain, self important "superstars" who've done nothing to merit the status that they try to convey.

      Mourinho is one of the greatest managers in history, and if you cant appreciate defensive football, you dont understand football. Sir alex Ferguson said attack wins you games, but defense wins you titles. Mourinho has won more premier leagues than pep, mourinho has won the champions league with inter, and porto, without cheating whilst pep won it with barca 2x with controversial semi finals both times (vs Chelsea 2009 and vs arsenal 2011, when RVP got a red card undeservedly) Pep has built a great team, but Mourinho previously improved teams to make them great, although I will admit he faltered a few times in Man utd. Just remember Pep won with Messi on his side, with Raheem sterling David silva, KDB compared to mourinho who had a bunch of MAN utd players who cared more about their hairstyles than the badge on their shirt.

    In response to Carragher's question, the main reason Pep introduced the inverted full backs was because he innovated playing two no.10s in David Silva and KDB as central midfielders, or what he called "free 8s". So this left Fernandinho basically alone and this is where Walker/Delph helped out.

      Matt Rissik how is trippier better? He got terrorised and exposed against Croatia. Great delivery but hes just to slow, short and weak. He hasn't got the athleticism to play wingback properly. Walker on the otherhand is the perfect example of a wing back.

    @dorohedoro1424 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Gary knows how amazing it is to play at Right back, essentially its a role in a football pitch that is extremely hard and which propels how a game is played. As a Right back himself i am sure he is very proud of Kyle Walker not just for playing well in world cup but for giving the proper justice to the RB position. On a side note what if Gareth Southgate played 4 in the back which is a formation every player in England squad plays with there parent club. Three in the back was super negative for in in terms of attacking. Familiarity and instinctual perception are so important.

      I think managers realise his tactics. But if your players don't move in to take the ball off the City players then you're gonna have a shot at getting points. And City have got quality players that exploit little spaces better than most and always find that hole like Kyle said.

    It is a compliment to us that Liverpool, Chelsea etc have broke the bank to sign not just key players, but players that we were targeting. Jorghinio and
    Kovacic were jumped at to make sure City don't fill key positions which forced them to pay a premium which we would/did walk away from. They are strengthening but are taking a hit financially too, and are taking some of the pressure off City.
