Well hear me out on this one I have a theory…
The sword can’t be tapions because the dragon balls are gone in trunks timeline which the dragon balls are how tapion was freed from the music box… what if it’s the sword piccolo gave gohan since piccolos magically made the sword it makes sense the sword would have magic and be able to change size why it’s bigger for trunks than gohan and bigger for king cold
@@codyburgett7962 I've seen this theory thrown around sometimes, but it kinda breaks apart immediately when you realize the swords look completely different aside from the fact they have orange sheathes (and even then, the sheathes look very different).
Since Tapion isn't canon, the realistic answer is that it's probably just a regular sword Trunks either found or maybe Bulma picked up blacksmithing in the future. I doubt there's actually a real interesting answer behind it. Who knows though, Super has a habit of taking non-canon characters and making them canon, so maybe they'll eventually do the same for Tapion. Certainly wouldn't mind seeing the walking Zelda reference pop back up.

Man, it must be so awesome to work there. Imagine someone asking you what your job is, and you get to say "Swordsmith", "armourer", "forgemaster", "blacksmith", etc. That's seriously so cool.

Your wrong on two fronts. Trunk's sword BROKE while fighting Zamatsu, it was the energy from the remaining people alive that cut through him. It didn't kill him, just split him in two. That's why Xeno was called in to end his ass.
@@DrewMolina The sword Trunks uses against Zamasu isn't the same sword though. The original blade cracked on C-18's wrist after Vegeta's arm was broken. So he cut Frieza down, and if we are going the alternate continuity route, cut off Hirudegarns tail off.
(I know, I'm being a stickler just to be one, but yes. I feel Trunks swords needs more love)

This sword in particular has a special place in my heart and is the very definition of cool. It has a simple elegance in its blending the separate straight sword styles from opposite sides of the globe.

BlazingPhoenix223 There are plenty of simple forges you could build with common items, and plenty of videos on how to do it. All it takes after that is a bit of metal, a hammer, a large stone or chunk of concrete if you can't get an anvil, and a lot of patience and practice.
You could definitely make a small forge and start practicing with knifes

Going by powerscaling this sword has planet level durability since it cut Frieza, who survived a planet explosion, into pieces.
I always wondered, considering Goku stops it cold with his fingers being swung by a Super Saiyan... yet it doesn't bend or break.

It's actually a normal steel sword, but DBZ characters can apply their ki to their own bodies, clothes, accessories, and weapons to increase their durability.

it's basically the same kind of sword just wider.
No it's deferent. Handle on the Z sword looks luxurious compared to Trunks's sword. It has a jewel. The blade is also thiner near the handle and it doesn't have the diamond shaped tip like Trunks's sword does.
