These guys are heretics.
They did not read any of the neccesary litanies and prayer or apply any holy oils whilst constructing the holy weapon of Thy Fury. The machine spirit is surely infuriated by this and will break the weapon upon battle.

Fine but these heretics must be purged in the emperor’s fire.
In a way the last minutes of the crew using the sword feels as if some Imperial Guards found some dead marine and took the sword then started playing with it.

I doubt a Guardsman could've even hold an Astartes Pattern Chainsword.

Kerry using a toaster for some smithing is way better than him pulling a rabbit out of a hat -- and that toaster bit is equal to if not better than Kerry being a fricking awesome loremaster, with his voice and all. Game companies: consider yourselves alerted.

I love this build for a bunch of reasons
1. Goes out of the comfort zone of many of the viewers (and I think to great effect)
2. Showcases just how many disciplines can be used for making stuff like this (who'd a thought a tattoo artist could be useful in a forge???)

Apache - Attack Helicopter It is okay, loyal servant of the Omnissiah, for it was later sanctified by a team of Tech Priests. They were simply testing the blade to make sure the machine spirit was pure.
Keep in mind this ancient and venerable relic was made in Merica during the Third Millennium. It predates even the Emperor himself.

For accuracy's sake, it predates The Emperor's revealing his presence to mankind and his Unification War campaign. As someone else mentioned, The Emperor has been around for a while. It's been hinted by GW that he was present at various points in history as Jesus Christ and other messianic figures.
And even if he wasn't Jesus Christ (or, alternatively, assumed the role of the Abrahamic God and inspired/collaborated with the Abrahamic prophets, who may well have been psykers to some degree), his conversation with the priest of the Last Church on Terra in one of the Horus Heresy novels has him clearly admit that he was around in Europe during the Crusades.

You need to try to contact Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - World's Strongest Man - The Mountain - to wield the sword.

They are about 40 cm larger than the mountain.
@@uUuWolf16uUu I've looked around the internet, and it's really hard to get a consistent answer. Some sources say 6'11 in armour, up to 9 feet tall in their armour. However tall they are, we can assume the armour adds several inches at least.

They also called the Imperial Aquila an Eagle, and named the Chainsword a "Chainsaw sword". They also didn't apply the Holy Oils, didn't do the necessary offerings and rites to the machine spirits, and didn't pray to the Machine god in order to bless the weapon. Oh, and let's not forget the purity seal, I'm not sure they used one. Sooooo.... You know what that means, right?

Not only for their cheap knock off replica but there was a lack of holy oils and incense being burned before asking the machine spirit of the toaster to perform such a task.
With a pommel like that you could definitely do some skull bashing when it's thrown at your enemy. END HIM RIGHTLY.

Even within the lore of Warhammer the Palatine Aquila is refered to as the double headed eagle of the emperor.

Aquila is a term taken not from WH40k but from Roman Empire because Empire of the humanity is based on it.

Even if it would have been, the german Reichsadler was a derivitive from the roman one. As the the 3. Reich understood itself as the successor of the Heiliges Römisches Reiches deutscher Nationen (the holy roman empire of german nation). I was firstly officially indtoduced by Baberossa who was imperator of the Gergman-Roman empire 1155.
Aquilas are different form eagles.
They have some measurement difference , and the most important thing is that aquilas are superior hunters.
Also all the symbols with aquilas come from the Roman Empire.
Even Romania kept the symbol.
No purity seals on the equipment, no offerings to the machine spirit, no operation rites performed. The Omnissiah is displeased.
there was a purity seal on the weapon. Look at the bit where they show it off on the anvil. There is a very large purity seal right on the side. Knowing that they correctly applied a purity seal allows for one to assume offerings and operation rites were performed off camera in correct fashion. machina gloriam Dei!!!!

This has to be the First kind of "Blade" That's been Tempered by Toaster Oven!
Almost every custom knifemaker started out tempering blades in toaster ovens or household ovens, some still do. All mine are tempered this way. Why do you think these guys even did it? It's an age old knifemakers technique.
Plus, this wasnt the first time a toaster oven was used to temper something on Man At Arms. The first time was the CS:GO knifemaking challenge, when Matt used one to temper his butterfly knife blade.
I started out tempering with a small blowtorch. Getting a toaster oven was an upgrade.

This episode makes me think of my old friend, Carlos. He got me into playing Warhammer 40k, the tabletop game, back when we were in Jr High. He was just getting into the early Warhammer 40k games when he was tragically killed in a car accident almost twelve years ago. I like to think he sees me watching this episode and is pumping his fist up in Heaven.

I think it's bad because it's just a redesign of the outside of a chainsaw. "Real" chainswords cut through armour. This has problems cutting wood.

I think the sanguinor was rumoured to be azkaellon the last true sanguinary guard, if I'm not mistaken. hung around with sanguinus though, so close :P He was literally the only sanguinary guard left alive after sanguinius died as sanguinius told him not to follow him. you could then justify the idea that sanguinius death activating the red thirst was more profound as he felt such guilt, pair that with age and the psykerness of Blood Angels and it seems more likely than being sanguinius' spirit
