I've been binge watching these episodes in no particular order, and I am seriously in love with you guys! I admire all of the hard work and the craftsmanship that goes into everything you make, and I now really want to be a swordsmith!

Frankly I was under the assumption at the first assembly stage they were going to just decorate one side of the blade and try their best to hide the other, but nope they really did decorate both sides! Really shows their work ethic. I still feel the pre-dragonslayer video was the most incredible to watch simply because of how they had to figure out how to maneuver such a giant piece of metal.

The patience you guys show doing something this intricate is amazing. From the repetitive plasma-cutting, the hours of grinding,the hand-dremelled runes, and Ilya's endless patience engraving and forming those overlays, this had to be taxing on everyone. Finished sword looks awesome, though!

“Just for our entertainment”? Bro you reckon the amount of time these guys spend collectively per project and filming/editing just for TH-cam makes them enough to live? Either commission built and okay’s to test and have fun with(they can make it quicker if it breaks after they have templates), or they’re built and tested them sold
Honestly, during that demonstration bit, all I could think about was how much of a pain cleaning that sword would be after each demonstration shot.
A true replica in every way. The amount of detail in the sword is insane. This is the best thing they made so far.Keep up the good work.
Illya's my favorite, he knows so many awesome skills and makes such mind-bogglingly beautiful work. When I realized that he was the winner of the spiked shield episode of Forged in Fire, it made me like him even more. Easily one of the most beautiful things on Forged in Fire. He's also Russian so that automatically makes him awesome. Such a skilled individual, I hope to one day learn at least half the skills he has mastered.

man at arms has always shown a respect for more ancient styles of forging and weapons. you should make the chinese sword of goujian, the 2500 year old sword still sharp enough to cut and without rust. i think itll be an interesting challenge to replicate as it uses preservation techniques that allowed the sword to last millennia

The sword is made of bronze, bronze only rusts a slight bit on top which then protects the rest of the bronze, most bronze swords will stay sharp and without rust, I do agree that they should try and make it it would be very cool, Id like to see it made out of steel though.

I just realised how big this sword is...kudos to you guys for even attempting this! Turned out really well! That sword is probably like 3 times smaller than the actual sword 😅 imagine if there was a real life sized one that was sharp and all! So cool!

Looks a lot like the Grand Marshal's Claymore from World of Warcraft, slightly recolored. Same rough shape and size, and equally as awesome and menacing. Looks fantastic!

Little Dirty Proxy even high end production models ( Albion for example )cost 1-2k . this might be 5-6k if not more
Eh, they may or may not be. All replicas are at least partially handmade. The only difference is how much CNC milling vs. manual shaping and grinding takes place. You can buy some as cheap as around $100 and the median price is about $300. For something like this, where the sword is a lot bigger and more intricate and they didn't CNC mill too much of it, then it would probably be higher than those. Handmade stuff on Etsy is about $650, so I would guess about $1000 or over for this.
