All well and dandy using all these modern tools and materials, would be interesting to see a sword being made with the materials available at the time period along with the techniques.
Iunno, I watched Dan Olson sit in stunned awe at the terrible cinematography and editing for like twenty minutes or so, and it's got a rating of, like, 2. I think Silent Hill is the best video game movie that's an actual video game movie (300 2 on the other hand is a video game movie where the video game came after the movie; *Metal Gear Solid* on the other hand is the best video game that's actually a movie). A lot of people didn't like it, but I felt it really captured the tone of the games. And especially the weird translated-but-awkward dialogue.
I love how people how haven't seen a film critique it. You're right, on RT it has a low critic score of %19, however their audience score is at %66 (which still isn't great). Personally, as someone who has actually seen the film, and as a big fan of the games I thought it was very good. It had it's issues with the story line in a couple of places but it didn't take me out of them film. It's a great film for fans of the games, but other viewers might get a bit lost.
Silent Hill is indeed best video game movie, but there are still other good examples, like: Resident Evil (1st one), Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider (maybe not, didn't watch it since I was a kid). The man responsible for most of bad video game movie adaptations is Uwe Boll. So I disagree that there are problems with video game movie adaptations, there is problem with just one director. Assassins creed is shitty game by itself anyway, so I didn't expect a good movie to be made of it.
That's Ezio Auditore in the thumbnail, not Altair Ibn La'Ahad!... I know you can get Altair's sword in the game but if it's Altair's sword then he should be in the thumbnail if it's important enough.
Honestly I think you guys should forge every single main weapons from every Assassin’s Creed game, it would be awesome to see. Who’s with me on this one guys
Yes please, the Fate series has an unlimited amount of really cool designs, and I'd want to see MaA make any and all of them. So, I pray that you will work on one of those blades.
Deep in love with this sword,is my fav one in all the saga together with the Yusuf's Kilic(Also please could you make Yusuf's Kilic?).Altair's sword is just amazing,so many details and we were lucky to get this sword in different games in the saga.
Have the twin daggers used by Archer in Fate/Stay night been done yet? Also, my usual (I'm gonna keep requesting them until I see them!): Ruby's scythe and Weiss' rapier from RWBY, and an Axe of Khorne from Warhammer Fantasy Battle/Roleplay. C'mon, you guys KNOW you want to do at least one of those!
I don't think so; they are just impossible to use, with the moving and folding parts. Now, Lady Maria's Rakuyo (Bloodborne) would be interesting to have. As a trick blade, it can be modified to be two blades or one. Sort of a dagger and rapier/saber in one.
Weiss' rapier wouldn't be impossible, since Man at Arms: Reforged were able to do Squall Leonheart's Gunblade from FF8. And Ruby's scythe would be tricky, but not impossible since I've seen people create versions for cosplay. Obviously I wouldn't expect a fully-functional sniper rifle/scythe combination, since that would require not only a talented team of bladesmiths but also a good team of gunsmiths working together from the start. A functional scythe that collapses into a decent-sized (~2-3' or 60-100cm) package is all I expect.
Man At Arms, you guys do a lot of recreation swords, giant swords, functional replicas and fantasy weapons. *I wanna see you guys create a high-performance sword. THAT WOULD BE EVEN MORE AMAZING THAN YOU GUYS ALREADY ARE.
Sincerely,

i am a videogame designer and i would include it in my game
Stefan Massyn agreed!!!!
Best idea ever
CORVO'S SWORD FROM DISHONORED. It folds up and stuff, seeing that would be pretty cool.
yes pls
Will Xu His mask even. But I know they wont do it :/
I know that it's possible to build from it's mechanism, but the grip would need to be much longer and it will be very flimsy.
YYYEEEEESSS
isnt it a dagger?
Make the "The Sword Of Eden" from Assassin's Creed Unity!
That would be one hell of a challenge
The Seer yeah it would be if you were to add power and effects!
but still we need it @The Seer
That’s a tough one
I get that it's hard, but wouldn't they just forge out of bronze?
"we might finally get a great movie version of a video game!"

Famous Last words
Should've had more scenes in the past.
As far as movies based on games go, it was one of the best. The movie itself, somewhere between alright and meh
It’s amazing to watch these guys make a sword starting from a box. From nothing, into something artistic and amazingly crafted.
DawnBreaker from SKYRIM!!!
TheShinyGallade yes I agree
Better yet an ebony sword from Skyrim
Or the Ebony Blade
Any weapon from Skyrim. The Nord great sword would be cool.
That would be sick. I wonder how they would pull off the center hilt glow.
Inigo Montoya's rapier from Princess Bride? You guys have the skill to pull that off, I think
I've been asking for that since FOREVER
So have I!
YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alex Wolf Agreed! It's simply _inconceivable_ that they haven't made that sword yet!
I do not think it means what you think it means
Sword of Altair.

Sarcastic Duck but... But like Ezio did find it. Your logic is flawed
Andrew Reynolds also I'm pretty sure they used Ezio because of better graphics and the fact that he is the most popular assassins creed character
they said at the beginning ezio uses altair's sword
Ra's Al Ghul's sword from Batman Arkham City
WEAPON IDEA: Corvo Attano's Folding sword! I think it would be a really cool challenge.
D Winter Yes! I agree with you. That is something I would love to see them make.
D Winter i dont think its possible

they do mention that Ezio gets the sword several times throughout the games.
Corvo's Sword from Dishonored!
tried it so many times..they kinda won't do it
The 52nd Timelord That'd be complicated but it's like a long double switchblade right?
The 52nd Timelord Since 2013 asking to make the corvo's blade from dishonored

Joshua Walters hunter
Raze Lighter my dude.
It's like Hans Zimmer and Jyper Kyd collaborated on the soundtrack for this video. Good job guys!
It would be crazy to see you guys do Deadpools duel Katanas. Great job on Atiars sword by the way:)
PLEASE DO THE ATTACK ON TITAN SWORD!!!!!
** watches Ilya's pose after heat treating **
Yeah.... nothing Freudian there at all. :D
Make Corvo's sword from dishonered!
yessssssssssssss pleeeeeease!!! >:D
Jebediah Kerman Since 2013 asking to make the corvo's blade from dishonored
Jebediah Kerman Definitely, it doesn't even need to fold up. I would be happy with just the basic short sword.
Adam Short nope it definitely needs to fold up in order to be true I'm sure they can figure out a way to do it
yea boi
"We may finally get a great live-action version of a video game."
lol, that's a shame.
I have to say it: I've never seen a such boring film. You can count the action scenes on a hand.
I mean, atleast Sonic is fun.
please do the glass warhammer from skyrim.
ibeyoga 21 omg yes dude
The glass weapons from Skyrim and Oblivion all look awesome.
The next build should be the assassins creed rogue Shay Cormacks Templar sword

Spoilers: We don't get a great live action version of a video game.
From what I've heard it's not _bad_, all things considered. It's just not good enough to elevate the status of VG movies.
Problem with it in my opinion is you needed to know the lore behind it. I honestly thought it was a fantastic movie.
You guys are great. You made Altair's sword equal to Katana.
Hats off to you guys.
Why am I not featured in this video?
Yeah!
Because no one likes playing as you XD
ac 1 was my favorite
Altair Ibn La'ahad Because you're a random person who called him or herself Altaïr.
hey i'm fine it was the only good one imo opinion. ac2 and on was a snooze.
That's Ezio Auditore in the thumbnail, not Altair Ibn La'Ahad!... I know you can get Altair's sword in the game but if it's Altair's sword then he should be in the thumbnail if it's important enough.
Altaïr's sword called Altaïr's sword for ALTAÏR NOT BY EZIO
Make a Uruk-hai sword from The Lord of the Rings.
AllRandomAndMore Too easy
Makeee a Uruk- haiiii swoooorrrddddd
Honestly I think you guys should forge every single main weapons from every Assassin’s Creed game, it would be awesome to see. Who’s with me on this one guys
Corvo's Folding Blade from Dishonored
Ice or Robert Baratheon's war hammer would be cool
Cu Chulainn's Gáe Bolg (Fate/Stay Night)
hell yes
finaly a polearm!
Better Scathach spear's ( they almost identical) from Fate/ Grand Order!!!
Володимир Дячишин they are almost the same except for the design of the blade xD, the body of the spear are identical
Scathach gave Cu Chulainn his spear, that would probably be why
Yes please, the Fate series has an unlimited amount of really cool designs, and I'd want to see MaA make any and all of them.
So, I pray that you will work on one of those blades.
Build the egyptian sword from assassin's creed origins
Crazy Steve A Khopesh!
sword of aeons from fable
You guys should do a highlander sword
Literally anything from RWBY would be amazing.
Deep in love with this sword,is my fav one in all the saga together with the Yusuf's Kilic(Also please could you make Yusuf's Kilic?).Altair's sword is just amazing,so many details and we were lucky to get this sword in different games in the saga.
Something from RWBY!
Upgraded Crocea Mors from Volume 4?
Myrternaster?
Ozpin's glasses.
r/mildlyinteresting
Altaïr in arabic means The Bird
Majed Spotted the fellow redditor.
The all are until Edward.
Foo_You *Connor. His original name refers to wolves
Majed that's cool
The full translation would be
Altaïr Ibn La Ahad: The bird who's the son of none
This is the most beautiful sowrd i have ever laid eyes on 😍
Did anyone notice when explaining the wings he said "ezios sword" instead of Altairs sword?
technically speaking Ezio uses this in 3 games while Altair does only in one; so I don't blame him
ZABUZA'S Executioners blade!
