Man At Arms, you guys do a lot of recreation swords, giant swords, functional replicas and fantasy weapons. I wanna see you guys create a high-performance sword. *The best sword Baltimore Knife and Sword have ever made.* Top of the line steel, distal tapers, perfect centres of percussion, good edge retention (maybe differential tempering?), razor sharp (i.e. will shave you), solid construction, original engraving and art designs, good blade geometry, excellent point of balance, a protective pommel, ergonomic pommel letting you feel your edge alignment, of course the pommel construction will be on point as always, a good flex to take the strain of impact (HEMA or Kendo consultants for the feel of the blades? I dunno...), durable overall fit and construction and basically make the most perfect sword you guys ever have. Call it, "At the Man's Arm," or "the Perfect Sword," or "Awe." I think it would be an awesome challenge, from forging to grinding, to material sourcing.
@@MaxwellAerialPhotography The master smiths would still do a lot of the work themselves, doubly so if it were for a wealthy benefactor...don't want an apprentice to mess up Lord neckbreaker's sword after all.
Actually , depending on the place , there would have been specializing .One person does the blade , another the handle , another the guard .And there were guilds to help .
illya should write a book on metalworking kinda like for dummies because a lot of people are now interested in blacksmithing because of this show and to read a book by someone we trust and can see his work would be amazing
I don't know why, but I absolutely fell in love with this sword. I don't even watch the show but this is the most beautiful man-made thing I've seen in my life. Seriously.
@Leo Carlo Aguilar I realize that the character was in the show. But no mention or focus was made on the sword. A passing glance perhaps, but that is all. The books pay much more attention to detail, but I guess that is the nature of the beast. A sward seen at a glance in the show has very little chance of being noticed by a channel like this one.
Can you make a medieval sword but with only medieval technology? I think it would be really interesting to see you make a sword with no power hammers or grinders. Make it all pretty though with Fuller's and a fancy pommel just to see all your skill and technique.
They still had grinders... they where just trundle gears and different grades of rock. The amount of technical knowledge their blacksmith would make this an easy challenge for them i believe. Would be cool to see tho
I really liked that little interaction between Illya and Matt. It was funny and showed that they are good friends. Haha I wish there were more interactions between everyone. Also I just love how goofy everyone is being. Kerry making the face and Matt talking to himself. xD
When ilya swung it down at the dummy head, I figured it'd get stuck. I was NOT expecting it to go all the way through! That sword could probably split a man right down the middle! Well done Man At Arms team!
This was my first episode. I was just looking for a story about Ice in a lore video and then I got more than that when I watched this. now I'm hooked you keep making the things I wanna swing. And hopefully I will earn enough to own my own.
Also, since they base it on the series and not the descriptions in the books, the swords that Ser Arthur Dayne used on the flashback have nothing to do with Dawn.
Black knight sword would be the best one, there's no way they are making the fume. Gwyns maybe. If they make another dark souls build it should be either the onyx blade, the profaned greatsword or valorheart
actually, look closely, it is in fact a blade, if you look at the top you can see its bladed, and there are some gravings up there too, not sure what it is meant to be. and then the rest of the sword looks like it is old rusted or maybe even corrupted. it does look a bit like stone yeah.
I was just thinking about this one earlier today. The problem is that if they try to make the one from the movie, I'd cry. The up side is that if they just follow the book, they are only limited by their imagination of how a Dragon Rider's sword should look.
The problem is, a lot of film armor is TOO ridiculous, although an armor set I found surprisingly realistic is the medieval armor they wore in Underworld, I know you weren't expecting that lol
Can you do either Sir Alonne's Katana "Bewitched Alonne Sword" From Dark Souls 2 Or Slave Knight Gael's Greatsword From Dark Souls 3's DLC "The Ringed City"
mygamingisepic I think they keep them around, or at least they used to. Sometimes older builds appear in newer ones like when Cloud's sword appeared in the Sephiroth build
How about some Warframe love? So many weapons to choose from but a challenge episode between a couple of people on Dual Kamas or Dual Heat Swords would be pretty neat
Totally awesome! Except for the sword action sequence at the end, like they say-don't give up your day job! Ned Stark would have been proud of your reforged "Ice"
You guys don't exactly have a reason to return to the Witcher, but I would love to see Zireael (Ciri's Sword) or Eriden's sword (which has a few great reference shots in the final battle with him).
I have a challenge for you guys, and I know its a tall order. But I'd like to see you all tackle the Greatsword (Ultra-Greatsword class) from Dark Souls 3. And then figure out a way to do the demo at the end of the episode with it.
Would be a lot of work and a lot of metal... Lot's of sculpting too for the central part for the blade, the edges are pretty irregular too so that's a lot of weird angled grinds, would be too much work for one of these videos, would take at best months to make and would be costly :/ Would be damn cool though, it's one hell of a blade.
That's why I want to see it, they would have to mold the details on the blade and attach them after forging the blade itself. It would be difficult, and those builds are always the coolest to see!
Now reforge it into Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail.
The real LPT is in the comments.
Shut up, Renly, you're dead
Best idea ever
Meh, at least I'm not freezing my balls off and countless distances away from my "lawful throne".
Have them do Kratos's Blade of Olympus
You should _really_ gift this sword to Sean Bean.
Nah should melt it in 2 and make Oath Keeper and Widow's Wail
@@CCTV9 The North remembers...
Should sell it to me.
I’m pretty sure HBO will give him the real Ice if he wants it.
Tim they are notorious about not doing just that. Some of cast had to pretty much steal certain lesser props that they wanted

Sorry for reposting, btw. I just honestly think this would be an AMAZING build.
I agree.
Hear, hear! I second this!
You should prepare a shorter version and ask people to post it a myriad times on every video.
Mad respect too medieval blacksmiths, doing all this work with no power-tools. Just imagine how buff they must have been xD
No power tools, just teams of slaves/apprentices.
@ They have to start somewhere, the masters would have been assistants to someone else first.
@@MaxwellAerialPhotography The master smiths would still do a lot of the work themselves, doubly so if it were for a wealthy benefactor...don't want an apprentice to mess up Lord neckbreaker's sword after all.

4/10 didn't test it on Night's Watch deserter neck.
😮
3/10 didn't test it on sean bean's neck
illya should write a book on metalworking kinda like for dummies because a lot of people are now interested in blacksmithing because of this show and to read a book by someone we trust and can see his work would be amazing
Everybody needs to like this!!! LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
that needs to happen
Scorpio91201 oh yeah I'm down. I have always loved blacksmithing. Man at Arms: reforged and History channel Forged in Fire are my two favorite shows
I'd buy it
Honestly, Ilya's *perfect* downward cut to the zombie head is play of the game.
Make the Valyrian steel dagger that was used to try to kill Bran in Season 1 of Game of Thrones which he gave to Arya in season 7.
Of all the weapons I've seen on GoT, that's the one I'd want to own.
The catspaw dagger, I 2nd that!
And to kill big daddy Ice.
I think you mean the one that killed the knight king?
I second cats paw!!!
I don't know why, but I absolutely fell in love with this sword. I don't even watch the show but this is the most beautiful man-made thing I've seen in my life. Seriously.
*RING*
Seth Wilkinson DING DING

you just gotta appreciate the level of craftsmanship these guys put into every single one of these projects
*"The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword"*
*"The sword that swings the sentence should pass the man"*
So I just walk past a sign that says "This is a sentence" and I swing my sword? I like easy to understand instructions :).
*"The swing who swords the pass should man the sentence"*
Lil pussy boi Joffrey couldn’t swing that sword haha
Swordor.
"Winter is coming!" *throws dust and runs
Gotta love how easy-going these guys are.
Laughed my ass off
If you can't have fun while at work, why come at all? ;)
Wuuthrad, Ysgramor's axe from Skyrim would be cool.
yes
Daniel Amariei YES
Daniel Amariei hell yeah!!
Ysgramor's Shield would be cool too
I was thinking something more along the lines of Dawnbreaker or the Ebony Blade, but Wuuthrad would be sweet too.
One of the best swords I've seen you make IMO. It's so nice.
Man At Arms, to continue the Game of Thrones theme, I think Dawn, the sword wielded by Sir Arthur Dayne would be a phenomenal episode
Yeah... I doubt they care about the book swords. Don't get me wrong, I wish they would make more from the books too, but they won't.
Sword of the Morning!
I’d like to see theodens’ sword from lord of the rings, I think that would be an awesome build
Now melt it down and make 2,456 Aria Stark Needles
We should melt it down and add it to the others.
Tenereus I like this.
Make it into Oathkeeper and widows wail
They already made Needle
Can you make a medieval sword but with only medieval technology? I think it would be really interesting to see you make a sword with no power hammers or grinders. Make it all pretty though with Fuller's and a fancy pommel just to see all your skill and technique.
this. and please make it a practical longsword
Surprise clipart watch the ulfbert episode
*fullers
They still had grinders... they where just trundle gears and different grades of rock. The amount of technical knowledge their blacksmith would make this an easy challenge for them i believe. Would be cool to see tho
That episode would take months to be released.
The sword dawn is made from a fallen star ⭐️THE SWORD OF THE MORNING
PLEASE Make
BLUE PRINT sword of the morning is the title of the one wielding dawn
Manuel Schurig I know . Sir Arthur DAYNE was the last . Anyway would be a kool sword to make
BLUE PRINT if you knew that then how can you expect them to make the sword of morning.
BLUE PRINT and in a Song of Ice and Fire it's Ser not Sir.
James Love I WISH YOU GOOD FORTUNE IN THE WARS TO COME 🗡
You should to reforge the greatsword "Dawn" of the House Dayne. A blade said to be created from the heart of a falling star!
And we saw it wielded.. great fight scene/swordsmanship, nothing special or stand out worthy blade wise
I really want to see the shard blade Oathbringer the title of Brandon Sandersons upcoming book as it is detailed in the illustrations of book 2.
YES
YES PLEASE MAKE A SHARDBLADE
YES
That'd be incredible
oh wow i really want to see that!
Glamdring (gandalf's sword) from LOTR!
thats foehammer isnt it?
The Goblin Cleaver as well
Rogue Koala they already made orcrist
Shoot, forgot about that
Rogue Koala already made the goblin cleaver

The most impressive thing about this build is how the smaller fullers are positioned EXACTLY where the two different types of metal touch.
This was my first episode. I was just looking for a story about Ice in a lore video and then I got more than that when I watched this. now I'm hooked you keep making the things I wanna swing. And hopefully I will earn enough to own my own.
Anduril and ice. Beatiful swords.🔥❄
“With a blade of this length and girth...”
My innuendo senses are tingling....
Please make DAWN -ancestral sword of house Dayne
Fjellstorm Bushcraft they'll probably not make any GOT swords till season 8 😢
Also, since they base it on the series and not the descriptions in the books, the swords that Ser Arthur Dayne used on the flashback have nothing to do with Dawn.
Also the channel kind of already did since they used actual meteorites to make Sokka's sword from the last airbender
Matheus Moreira the one he stabbed in the ground was Dawn
Fabled Pictures the show version of Dawn isn’t how it’s described in the books
Raiden's High Frequency Blade from Metal Gear
I would love to see that
Aron Serratos-Rodríguez id rather Sam's
Aron Serratos-Rodríguez Hell yes!
sam's is just a red katana...
One of my favorite builds so fare awesome work. Now let's see king Robert's war hammer.
I must say, this is the swordiest sword you guys have ever made.
Please do the "Sword of a Thousand Truths" for South Park "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode!
lol
YES this needs to happen!
I am glad I got here early. I have commented this every episode for the past few weeks. At least people can see it now!
You mean The Hungering Cold?
Tim Nichols exactly
+ AWE me you should make Oberyn martells dornish spear
Will Wisson Burton I'm waiting for that Video for such a long time.
Will Wisson Burton for real !!!!!!!
How they forge the Mountain's gauntlets
Kenshin Himura's reverse blade sword!!!!!
THIS! Do dis
Josh Yocum for the love of god YES!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEEEAAASE!!!!!
Hell yeah!
Brilliant.
Ohman, I'm from germany and i live literally next to solingen and ive been in the museum a dozen of times these sword displayed there are astonishing
I will say something bad but can you now melt it and see if you can create the other two Vallyrian swords?
LordAnestis that doesn't actually work
Robert Dover if you melted it, it'd loose the pattern for to the steels mixing together :)
But can you melt it? It'd look cool either way
Now use the "Ice" you made to make widows wail and oath keeper 😂
That would be epic and a shame at the same time...
Spongebobs Spatula!
Justin Farquhar yasssssss
Screw it, I want to see this!
Do eeeeeeeeettttttT!
This would have been a great april fools build.
+1
I'm Matt and I'm Carey... And I'm Ilya and I do 90% of the work
OmG gRiNdInG swOrDs Is HaRd ToO
Yeah I no.
Sad story in 4 words
The grinding honestly seems like the most work. The forging is fun to watch but grinding seems so painstakingly tedious
Grinding like that takes a lot of skill
do sir arthur daynes sword DAWN!!!!!
Please!
Sotan Hepho they would need a fallen star! jk... but for real, i wonder what they would use to give it the milk white color?
Sean Wren haha they could use meteorite like they did with the sokka sword build they did lol :o
how are they gonna make it glow lol
maby blue it like they did frodos sword haha idk XD
URFAEL from Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War!
Or Corvo's Folding blade from Dishonored!
Shaunak Deshpande It should be Urfael when it's fully upgraded from Shadow Of Mordor. It looks so neat.
Urfael would be an amazing build, especially the second or final form of the sword.
Damn thats nice! I would Love to see the MASSIVE sword that "the Mountain" used. I think it was over 6 feet
probably one of the most beautiful sword they made, I just cant stop watching, I want to have that sword sooo bad
Moonlight Greatsword Darksouls.
frankslayer77 washing pole.
frankslayer77 storm ruler. demon's souls
They don't do enough spears.
Dragonslayer Spear, Dark Souls.
Chaos 2Hander or riot.
I vote this. Moonlight GS would be way too big to really be all that interesting.
Thresh's hook!
aaand lantern!
Janek! Hell...Yes...
King Robert's Warhammer!!!
antonio nunes yes please
antonio nunes and his antlered helmet
I fell out of my chair when Ilya attacked Matt! You guys are so unbelievably entertaining!
Please do Indigo Montoya's Rapier from Princess Bride!!!
Oooh, yes. I can get behind that.
yes please
please make the sword TILGER from destiny😍
Matthew Colel
Matthew Colella yaass
Fume ultra greatsword of dark soul 3
Yessss, but there's no way it could be that big and wide
Black knight sword would be the best one, there's no way they are making the fume. Gwyns maybe. If they make another dark souls build it should be either the onyx blade, the profaned greatsword or valorheart

they need to do the Dragonslayer's Spear
Nah it's just a slab of stone, doesn't even have an edge apart from the top
4:08 nice editing! music was in-time with the hits; loved it!
The music was pretty awesome this episode!
9:20 *THE COCAINE SHIPMENT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!*

Dude, we ordered this at least 2 months ago. FINALLY!!!!!!!!
Who care what consum a artist?
Do it wonderful things.
@@adyblatt3543 ok Say that again but in english
Once again you guys blow me away.
Still hoping to see Avo's Tear from Fable Lost Chapters
Seems like alot of work imagine how long it took back in the day. Would have been a lot easier to just get along.
A S that’s why swords cost as much as a Ferrari back then
glass sword from skyrim
you, good sir, are the future
Please make Deadpool’s twin katanas! aka; his “golden girls” - Bea and Arthur 😎👍🏻💕
You guys should make Zar'roc or Brisingr. (Brisingr may be harder because the only reference you guys would have is in the book.)
I was just thinking about this one earlier today. The problem is that if they try to make the one from the movie, I'd cry. The up side is that if they just follow the book, they are only limited by their imagination of how a Dragon Rider's sword should look.
i would love to see Zar'roc or Brisingr, too, but where else than the books have they appeared?
make Brisingr please
Exactly, Jan-Magnus Solheim, neither of them has ever appeared in any movie i consider existing.
there is a bad eragon movie
Green Ranger's Sword of Darkness
Peter Sampayan and green rangers dragon dagger with functioning flute!
They could do bigger projects like forging armor
Prato pra Pão they made Erza`s armor
Prato pra Pão id wanna see power armour from the fallout series... but in demascus steel
jack bennett A full suit of x-01 power armor
The problem is, a lot of film armor is TOO ridiculous, although an armor set I found surprisingly realistic is the medieval armor they wore in Underworld, I know you weren't expecting that lol
br hihi
The skill to fold that without ripping it in half, unreal metal work
you should make Ahrah from dust: an elysian tail!
Zar'roc and Brisingr from the inheritance novels please.
Nicholas Hobson yes make zaroc
I think they've already made Brisingr though.
YES!! I ACTUALLY ASKED THEM THE SAME THING A LOOOONG TIME AGO
i wish they will actually do it
NUPE
When?
Can you do either Sir Alonne's Katana "Bewitched Alonne Sword" From Dark Souls 2 Or Slave Knight Gael's Greatsword From Dark Souls 3's DLC "The Ringed City"
Then they would just have to make an executioner greatsword
Omar Nabil the onyx blade
Im so relieved knowing this amazing show will continue
Corvo's sword from Dishonored
Li Shunsheng I'd love to see that
Does anyone know what they do with all their builds? Do they keep them all or auction them off?
id love to know too
mygamingisepic wondering too
asking that for 3 years now
mygamingisepic I think they keep them around, or at least they used to. Sometimes older builds appear in newer ones like when Cloud's sword appeared in the Sephiroth build
they cant sell them due to copyright. most likely they keep them or maybe give them to their respective companys or something like that
"Hey hey...guess what?" *Poof* "Winter's Sky!"
...Good job Ilya. Good job man :D
He said "winter is coming". As in the motto of house Stark

I know you guys did a Vikingsword before, but I would like to see the royal sword from the series "Vikings".
no they didn't. They TRIED to do a viking period sword, and completely fucked up the dimensions.

Robert Baratheon's Warhammer
Make Sir Radzig kobyla's Longsword from Kingdom Come Deliverance., trust me, it's a beautiful weapon worthy of your skill.
This sword is way better and more handsome than I remembered it being. The whole blade is dark, like proper Valyrian steel from the books
Great to see Charles Xavier on his feet again :)
War's Chaoseaster from Darksiders, good luck.
Is that even physically possible?

I wonder why you never made Dawn ....that sword's a legend
Simple, because you can't forge a star that easily.
Is it just me but when they cut the zombie go boom head clean in half that was the most satisfying thing in the world
