Ooof. We are going to be moving up there in about 6 months and some of these changes really stink. I don’t mind the bridge so much, but when sprawl happens quickly, it gets to be a mess rapidly. The corridor would make life simpler for the valley but quickly would get out of control with growth and I’m not sure people are prepared for that. Its quite literally what we are escaping here in TX coming up there. The growth is beyond belief. We are getting taxed out of our homes.
Im one of the few making the commute from KGB to anchorage that doesnt want the bridge. Would be a highway for the homless to come make it even worse out here
Very interesting! Excellent video. Not knowing all the details, I wonder if building the bridge would alleviate the need for the Wasilla by-pass for people heading up to Talkeetna and Denali and points beyond? Also wondering if there is enough buildable land in the area the bridge would "open-up" for development? Interesting situations...stay tuned! Thanks, Jamin!!
This is just a thought you should look into our constitutional law about property taxes they are not supposed to be charging property taxes in having power over the homeowners like they do today or any other time.
10-20 minutes to anchorage with the bridge? only if you live at the end of kgb or actually in pt mac. 90% of commuters would see no difference in driving time. not to mention that as bad as the current commute is, the crowds of traffic driving down two lane kgb and point mac road would be a nightmare, and thus require a huge road upgrade before the route would become a viable option (again, for most commuters).
@@alaska_realtor awesome me and my family will be voting for it. Tired of propping anchorage up with their high property taxes and getting little in return.
Build a toll bridge. Would be a huge money maker and increase the overall Alaskan population in time.

I can't blame you for trying to leaving Texas.
The Eagle Exit is familiar to those of us in Atlanta (my previous home) where the nice, clean, crime-free areas are tired of being ruined.

The homeless situation in Anchorage is that bad?

Sooo Eagle River tends to be more right, right? 🐘
That is correct. Not 100%, but it does lean more right.

Alaska is a "go to" for many things. But war is definitely one of them.
Are you seeing people getting solar that feeds the grid?
How do we sign up for Eagle Exit??
@@UndertakerFromWWE the petition is going out in a few months. You’ll hear a lot about it very soon I’m sure.
