I'am Catholic, Christian as well :) I married a Sikh. There are differences, sometimes it is not easy, but I think the lady who calls herself Christian, is too focused, and the theology she knows is quite limited, as well as her experience of God. Our Lord Jesus is more inclusive than that...

I'm not Sikh, but this is why I have such a deep respect for them and their Gurus. Sikhs are G's, straight up reflecting the truth of the Primordial Principle. Their philosophy inspired me to look deeper into the history and thoughts of the worlds religious thinkers and movements and in doing so, my mind has become opened to Truth. Thank you.

***** I agree with your understanding that the Sikh path is so liberal and open to acceptance and understanding of differences. I love and also feel lucky this was my exposure from birth with the teachings of the faith I was brought up with (but long stopped following). The problem came when I was bullied and demeaned (at school and from hearing of what would happen in some Gurdwaras) solely because I was not of a 'high caste'. Whilst this is contrary and actually one of the keystones of the creation of Sikhi by Guru Nanak, there needs to be a look inwards at the 'higher caste' (Jatt etc) on how they treat and view people who they consider are lower than them.
I was brought up in the UK and these 'caste' issues still go on, especially in (what I term) backward and insular places like the Midlands (where my Brummie friend would tell me that each others Gurdwaras would be set on fire and people attacked solely due to 'caste' issues/wars) although it's much better and tolerant in London. In India it is another world where Sikh people cling to their generational Hindu caste denominations and lower castes are endemically discriminated against, so much so that they have started to split from the original Sikhi path and wanting to find their own ways away from discrimination - i.e. Ravidassia, Ambedkar communities etc.
If you are of a 'high caste' then you will NEVER realise how this discrimination affects other ('lower caste') sikhs and you will go about blind thinking it's a minor issue if at all. 'Higher caste' Sikhs really need to LOOK INWARD and think what are you actually believing in and following as in general, your actions and beliefs do not tally with this. My sister dated a half Hindu/Sikh (Brahmin/Jatt background) guy and his grandmother (Jatt Sikh) told my sister to not tell anyone that she was lower caste at a function IN A GURDWARA which was HIGHLY insulting and demeaning to her. Another story - My grandfather and his friends were not allowed to go into the Southall Havelock Gurdwara in the 1960's because they were 'lower caste'; thus they set up (as well as other 'caste' communities) their own Gurdwaras to combat this blatant and shameless discrimination. 'High caste' Sikhs forget that the Panj Piyare were made up of 5 different castes INCLUDING LOWER so the same idiots are worshipping LOW CASTE people! Go and kill yourselves now!! lol
Just like the Hindu's HAVE to (they try, not very hard, ) deal with the intrinsic nature of their religion where caste and discrimination is ingrained to progress as a society and heal the HUGE issues they have in their religion, I feel Sikhs also need to deal with this refusal to cut the chains of (ancient Hindu) castes which should have been discarded hundreds of years ago. Saying that, I have even come across Indians/Pakistanis Muslim and Christians who tell me they are Jatt, Kshatriya etc which totally goes against Islam/Christianity and sounds as ridiculous as the Sikhs retaining their caste categories. The sad thing is that non South Asian (white) converts are treated with better respect (and even admiration) that 'lower caste' (South Asian origin) Sikhs.
To sum up, this is the reason I dislike Sikhi and the attitudes or it's followers and I would never come back, despite appreciating the message and key golden teachings of equality and tolerance.

+Nathan Dearman I'm not an evangelical Christian so I don't know what you encountered but just an FYI true Christian teaching is that our goal in life is to become Saints and a true Saint is as perfect a reflection of Jesus Christ as we can be. We give the rest over to his love and forgiveness. I'm sorry you got hammered for what Christ and his Church has taught for 2000 years sounds like some very poor reflections of Christ were involved. There is truth in Sikhism but as a Christian I believe the fullness of the Truth is in Jesus Christ. I admit if I was to some how to loose that which can not be lost, the gift from God of Faith in Jesus Christ, I'd look long and hard as Sikhism I find it a rational and reasonable belief system. I'm not trying to swim in their pond here I like to listen to their beliefs explained on this channel and do quite often. I love Sikhs, my favorite non-Christian "religion" for lack of a better word.

Very beautiful to hear brother. I found my first Sikhi vid a couple of weeks ago and am addicted.
I've got one tiny problem, and that's that i don't think we should give an account *as doctrine*, of what happens after we die. I believe reincarnation is possible obviously, but there might be something else or even nothing - nobody knows.
I'm very very much growing to love Sikhi and even though i will never be able to be a Sikh because of this minor difference i'm so so happy to have found it, and would love the whole world to embrace it.
God is my best friend who came to me when i was 9 and for over 40 years now i've had HIm in my life, and my God also loves Sikhi.
At first after finding Sikhi i was afraid to ask God if He would accept it fully, and after reading your text today Nathan God has answered my question, even though i didn't ask Him lol.
He thinks Sikhi is great and accepts that it could save the world.
God Bless all and everyone involved in this beautiful gift you are sharing with the world, and that includes you Nathan.
      Thank you.

I like the idea of reincarnation, but i don't think we need to believe it as a fact. It's possible, but so are many other ideas which are also possible. I doubt it's all over when we die, but to me it doesn't matter, we can't do anything about it anyway.

+Bad Ass Nate just because you notice the logic, common sense and intelligence behind what a sikh speaks..does not make you sikh.
I too am most likely more "sikh" than anything else..But i am not sikh at all.... I am just a man with a brain and proper instructions on how to use it correctly so it's not hard to notice cut and dry logic and rationality when you are free from controlling religious shackles..
find god within yourself, and try to reflect what you are learning .GOD is not hiding in ANY BOOK.In religious texts, ( which is someone else's idea of the creator ), you will only find beautifully written verses that create a deep emotional attachment , and people are too easily fooled and controlled by that emotion, so religions, who base their teachings off words written by MAN, from a book, are going to do well in a world of naive, clueless, indoctrinated hopelessness which is the state man is in today..
You do not need to be religious to know god.
You only need to "seek " ...( haha ) ..and ye shall find alone.
( meditation works wonders when trying to find answers only the universe can deliver ).. good luck..godbless

Ambitious Guy ok so allow me to explain you.First in all of bhagvad gita your sacred text there is not a mention of the word hindu but of brahmin. The word hindu was given by people from arabia and persia basically central asians. Now you say about the teacher sikhi as we call it existed long before its just the word came into the existence later. If a baby is allowed to grow without the alteration of the knife it would be what? The same knife that transforms a hindu by cutting it’s hair and the same knife used for the circumcision that makes a muslim (sunnat).Sikhi is the true sanatan dharm never again say a sikh came from Hinduism but the opposite.

Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, Jain's - all these people can coexist with anyone, no matter what that person believes in or doesn't believe in. Listen to the last line of yellow hoodie person "we are not here to convert anyone who believes or doesn't believe". Problem is with the mindset that that girl showed when she said that one will reach heaven only by believing in Jesus, else hell. That's the essential difference. Furthermore, all the above religions originated in India and can be said to be collectively called Sanatan Dharm (and I have no problem if Sikhs/Buddhists/Jain's want to disagree).

As a Christian myself I have tremendous respect for Sikhs and Sikhism in general. Let me just answer a couple of things raised within this video for Sikhs, Christians and people of all faiths and none to meditate on.
(I)It is possible to be Christian and hold Inclusive views of other religions.
-St Paul tells us in Romans 2:12-16 that there are those who have the written law and those who have the law written on their hearts. So even if you don't subscribe to the Bible, if you are a person of good faith who follows the law written on your heart(natural law) which urges compassion and righteousness then your conscience will vindicate you on the day of judgement.
-Jesus himself gives us the famous example of the Good Samaritan. The Samaritan wasn't even a Christian and by the standards of Jesus's day Samaritans would have been seen as heretics. And yet Jesus says he will enter the Kingdom of Heaven because of his compassion which was a manifestation of a Love of Neighbor(Luke 10:25-37).
-Inclusivism is actually the official position of most Churches globally today. The Catholic Church(largest Christian branch) since the Second Vatican Council has tried to champion inclusivism and my denomination the Anglican Church is deeply involved in Interfaith dialogue.
(II)Christians are judged by their actions, not judge their "beliefs".
-St James in his letter tells us that faith without actions or good works is a dead faith(James 2:26).
-St Paul tells us that we are all judged by our actions regardless of our religious background. So if we do righteousness or strive for goodness will be rewarded(Romans 2:6-7).
(III)We shouldn't understand Heaven and Hell as literal, concrete places
-Heaven and Hell according to some of the saints of the Church(particularly Eastern ones) are states of being or the condition of our hearts before the presence of God
-Scripture speaks about God's essence as being Love(1 John 4:8)and God's essence as an unquenchable fire(Hebrews 12:29).So that means God's Love is like an all consuming fire that never quenches.
-How we experience the unquenchable fire of God's love depends on the condition of our hearts. For the righteous person God's love will feel like a fire that illuminates the heart with join when they face it on the day of judgement. For the unrighteous person it is like a fire that burns the conscience with bitter regret. St Isaac of Syria speaks of it as being like when a lover comes face to face with someone they have not been faithful to.
(IV)Church tradition does not have a monolithic view of whether Hell is eternal or temporal
-Some of the saints, theologians, doctors and fathers of the Church warn of the possibility of being in hell eternally because some passages in scripture warn of this(Rev 21).
-Other saints, theologians, doctors and fathers of the Church though also hold out the possibility that one day everyone might be saved and reconciled with God because scripture also holds out this possibility. St Paul tells us that God desires the salvation of the human race(1 Timothy 2) and that he revealed his grace for the salvation of the human race(Titus 2:11).
-In the Nicene Creed we recite that Christ on Holy Saturday after Easter descended into hell itself and destroyed it's power. St Cyril of Alexandria tells us that Christ destroyed the gates of hell and left the Devil "alone and abandoned".
-While we may hold out the possibility of eternal damnation, we can also hold out the hope that all will be saved. And that possibility depends on how open the human heart is to the Love of God. Those who are damned are those who locked their hearts from the Love of God. Those who are saved are those who open their hearts to the Love of God. We can certainly hope and pray for the latter.
I loved the discussion though. Hope to see more videos.

Regarding your post, I have some real concerns with your misuseof the Bible to construe and support a non Biblical doctrine that supports a
false religion such as the Sikh’s. By doing this you have essentially removed
any need for the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ!
I have italicized each section of your post with my correction below.
(I)It is possible to be Christian and hold
Inclusive views of other religions.-St Paul
      tells us in Romans 2:12-16
that there are those who have the written law and those who have the law
written on their hearts. So even if you don't subscribe to the Bible, if you
are a person of good faith who follows the law written on your heart(natural
law) which urges compassion and righteousness then your conscience will
vindicate you on the day of judgement.
      First, of lets start with the reading of Romans;
“12. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perishwithout law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13. (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but
the doers of the law shall be justified.14. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature
the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto
themselves:15. Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts,
their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while
accusing or else excusing one another;)16. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus
Christ according to my gospel.” Romans 2:12-16 KJV
You must first understand that this letter was written with theJews in mind (not strictly for the Jews because after all, “All scripture is
given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16). The important
part to understand is that verse 12 states that the Jews who have sinned
without the law will perish and that the Jews who sinned with or in the law
will be judged by the law. The key thing to notice is that this verse is
past tense and implies that this is not the case anymore for the Jews.
Next we move to verses 14-15 which have to do with the Gentiles(everybody that is not a Jew). These two verses are explaining that the
Gentiles who do not know the law but end up doing the things, naturally, that
are contained in the law become a law unto themselves or ‘self-righteous’. They
therefore bear this law on their hearts and as a result their conscience will
bear witness to this on judgment day.
This brings us to verse 16. Simply stated; on the day ofjudgment Jesus Christ will be the one doing the judging according to his gospel.
What is the Gospel? Well broken down into a simple but well-knownverse:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begottenSon, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
      life.” John 3:16 KJV
      Or there is this one:
“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he thatbelieveth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of
the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:18 KJV

-Jesushimself gives us the famous example of the Good Samaritan. The Samaritan wasn't
even a Christian and by the standards of Jesus's day Samaritans would have been
seen as heretics. And yet Jesus says he will enter the Kingdom of Heaven
because of his compassion which was a manifestation of a Love of Neighbor(Luke 10:25-37).
In regards to your use of the Good Samaritan that is quoted inLuke 10:25-37; you state that Jesus says he will enter the Kingdom of Heaven
because of his compassion which was a manifestation of a Love of Neighbor. This
is utterly false! Jesus nowhere in this story said that the Samaritan will
enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Here is the reason why:
“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God withall thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy
mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.” Luke 10:27
If you look closely you will notice that there is no ‘or’anywhere in that verse! Everything is and, and, and …and….and! Nowhere does
it say that because the Samaritan did just one of these he is going to Heaven?
By your standards all anyone would have to do is go be nice towhoever needs help. Never mind believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. That my
friend is works based salvation and a direct flight to eternal damnation.
-Inclusivismis actually the official position of most Churches globally today. The Catholic
Church(largest Christian branch) since the Second Vatican Council has tried to
champion inclusivism and my denomination the Anglican Church is deeply involved
      in Interfaith dialogue.
This is total heresy! First off the Catholic church is not aChristian Church and never will be. They practice Idolatry to its finest, and
deny Jesus’ work on the cross. Inclusivisim is a direct opposition to what is
clearly stated in the scriptures! One must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to
be saved! There is no other way!
(II)Christiansare judged by their actions, not judge their "beliefs".-St James
in his letter tells us that faith without actions or good works is a dead
      faith(James 2:26).
Again, we are seeing a miss-use of scripture:
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith withoutworks is dead also.” James 2:26 KJV
From the above verse we do see that faith without works is dead. However by no means does this say that without good works you have a dead
faith! You are again implying that Christianity is a works based religion! This
is wrong! See John 3:18 above.

-St Paultells us that we are all judged by our actions regardless of our religious
background. So if we do righteousness or strive for goodness will be
      rewarded(Romans 2:6-7).
Again, we must start with the scripture:
“6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds:7. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for
glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:” Romans 2:6-7
Here, we see that yes those who seek for the glory and honor and immortality will be rewarded with eternal life.
So what does it mean to receive eternal life?
Well Lets look at Romans 5:21 “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by
      Jesus Christ our Lord.”
      And also Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
So there you have it! Eternal life is only through Jesus Christour Lord….Period.
(III)Weshouldn't understand Heaven and Hell as literal, concrete places-Heaven
and Hell according to some of the saints of the Church(particularly Eastern
ones) are states of being or the condition of our hearts before the presence of
      God
…..Um, No! you are most defiantly wrong here. For example,Revelation 20:14 John says “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire….”
And also John 14:2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so,
I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
How exactly can something that is a state of being be literallycast into the lake of fire? Why would Jesus himself tell us that if it was not
real he would have told us? Seems like he anticipated some to teach a false
      doctrine such as yourself.
-Scripturespeaks about God's essence as being Love(1 John 4:8)and God's essence as an
      unquenchable fire(Hebrews 12:29).So
that means God's Love is like an all consuming fire that never quenches.
Once again you are twisting the scripture! Nowhere in these twoverses does it speak about Gods essence! They both speak literally about God the
Father! He IS ‘Love’ and he IS ‘a consuming fire’! That’s not just what he is
      like, thats what he IS.
-How weexperience the unquenchable fire of God's love depends on the condition of our
hearts. For the righteous person God's love will feel like a fire that
illuminates the heart with join when they face it on the day of judgement. For
the unrighteous person it is like a fire that burns the conscience with bitter
regret. St Isaac of Syria speaks of it as being like when a lover comes face to
face with someone they have not been faithful to.
God’s love does not depend on the condition of our hearts. God’slove is eternal and always there. For the saved, those that have put their
faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, he is there for you. But those
that have not put their faith in Jesus, on Judgment Day, he will have never
      known them.
(IV)Churchtradition does not have a monolithic view of whether Hell is eternal or
      temporal-Some of
the saints, theologians, doctors and fathers of the Church warn of the
possibility of being in hell eternally because some passages in scripture warn
      of this(Rev 21).
In regards to Hell, it will not last forever. As stated abovein Revelation 20:14, hell is cast into the lake of fire. This is eternal and
will last for ever. The fact that you quote Revelation 21….I’m assuming verse 8….
Shows that you are not at all reading your bible. There is no mention of hell
in the entire chapter. Only the Lake of Fire.
-Othersaints, theologians, doctors and fathers of the Church though also hold out the
possibility that one day everyone might be saved and reconciled with God
because scripture also holds out this possibility. St Paul tells us that God
desires the salvation of the human race(1 Timothy 2) and that he revealed his
grace for the salvation of the human race(Titus 2:11).
This is again a miss-interpretation of scripture. I assume youare referencing 1 Timothy 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come
unto the knowledge of the truth.”
This is simply saying that God wants the entire human race tocome to a saving grace. However this is not the reality of it now is it. Lets
just assume for an instance that God will have the entire human race saved. Why
then would there be a need for Judgment day? Why would hell be cast into the
lake of fire? Why would he say to some, "I never knew you; depart from me"? It
just doesn’t make since! Unless this is just Paul saying that this is what God
would want to happen and not what he is saying will happen. Which brings us to
Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all
men.” Simply stated, God has given the entire human race a path to salvation!
But whether or not you take that path is up to you.
-In theNicene Creed we recite that Christ on Holy Saturday after Easter descended into
hell itself and destroyed it's power. St Cyril of Alexandria tells us that
Christ destroyed the gates of hell and left the Devil "alone and abandoned".-While we
may hold out the possibility of eternal damnation, we can also hold out the
hope that all will be saved. And that possibility depends on how open the human
heart is to the Love of God. Those who are damned are those who locked their
hearts from the Love of God. Those who are saved are those who open their
hearts to the Love of God. We can certainly hope and pray for the latter.
Here you are directly contradicting the Word of God! Either allwill be saved and there is no possibility of eternal damnation or there is a
possibility of eternal damnation and not all will be saved. It can’t be both
otherwise the Word of God is no longer the word of God and is now the word of
      man.
This brings me to the conclusion of this post and that is; youare by no means teaching or presenting the Word of God in your post and are in
fact teaching a false doctrine and the word of man. Both of which hold dire
consequences as mentioned in the Holy Bible:
“But there were false prophets also among the people, evenas there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable
heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves
swift destruction.”  2 Peter 2:1 KJV
One final thing that must be understood; salvation isstrictly givin by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and it is never by works.
“22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have wenot prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy
name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:22-23 KJV

Their ideologies were different, and whilst Jesus is considered the literal prophet and physical "son of God" (where God is a deity in the sky), Sikhs consider Guru Nanak to be the ultimate realised perfection, embodiment of truth, where "God" is Oneness and Everything (not a person).

Jesus Christ was not a physical being, Jesus Christ is a metaphor that represents the actual Sun. This why he is referred to as "the light of the world", "the risen savior".
Christianity is a regurgitation of religions before it such as Mithraism, same exact story died on a cross etc etc.
The twelve apostles represent the twelve months of the zodiac and you include Jesus (the Sun) which gives you the number 13, this is why 13 is a unlucky number.
Also Christians still to this day finish every pray with Amen which is another Sun God Amen(Amun, Amon)-Ra of ancient Egypt.

There's enough historical evidence to suggest Jesus was a real person. Obviously not a Messiah or anything, but definitely enough historical evidence that he most probably existed.

+Basics of Sikhi, Hi, I am also Christian, but I respectfully disagree with some of the things which this Christian girl said to you. Regarding "Chanting", I don't believe that chanting God's name or any phrase to Glorify and Experience God is "vain repetition" like pagans. Some Christians (including the girl in the video) miss the context in Matthew 6 and misunderstand what Jesus said regarding vain repetitions. I myself am not Catholic or Orthodox, but I know that many "Protestant fundamentalist" Christians criticize Catholic Christians for their "Rosary" and "Divine Mercy Chaplet" and Orthodox Christians for their "Jesus Prayer", because they contain Repetitions. But if one could realize that the prayer which has repetitions are Not "Mindless" vain repetitions or chanting but are rather given to connect to God and Experience Him within you [when it is done from the heart]. God knows the hearts. It is about chanting or praying from the Heart. But if someone does not pray or chant from the heart, then that prayer or chanting is meaningless and is mere mechanical repetition and has no power to connect with God and change or transform oneself.
If we read Revelation 4:8 regarding Angels and their praises to Almighty God, it states: "And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”. Now, are Angels doing "vain repetitions" by saying day and night: “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!” ? Offcourse Not! (I wish the girl in the video knew about it). The Angels in Revelation 4:8 are NOT chanting or repeating those words Mindlessly or without their Heart being involved. God knows the Hearts. Jesus in Matthew 15:7-8 spoke against those religious Pharisees saying: "You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you saying: 'These people honor Me [God] with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me [God] in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’ God accepts anything that comes from the "heart", may it be Chanting God's name, Singing praises to Him, Prayer and Meditation etc.
Some people have misunderstanding as if chanting God's name or reciting prayer is about "changing God's mind" or to "Manipulate" Him to get some special favor. But it is not about that, it is about Changing or Transforming "oneself". The moment one connects with God, the presence of Heaven comes upon you and you starts to change from within and experience God. The more one Experience God, the more you are transformed into His Image and then the time comes when Divine utterance comes from the mouth saying: "I and My Father are truly One". In that moment, Oneness with God becomes a true Experience or reality and you start Manifesting God. You become an Embodiment of God's Divine light and word.
The girl in the video said that is is "humanly impossible" to be completely free of lust, anger, greed, attachment to the world etc. I being a Christian Myself "disagree" with her position. I think she has forgotten, or do not know what Jesus taught in the Bible. Jesus said in Matthew 5:48: "So be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." If it was not possible to be perfect like Almighty Father, Jesus would have never said so. Jesus also said in Revelation 3:21: "'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne". And in John 16:33 Jesus said to his Disciples: "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!". So we clearly see that Jesus says that as he overcame the world [by refusing or rejecting the Glories of this worldly kingdom] so those who put their trust in him and learn from him will Also have Divine strength or power to overcome the world and experience Divine rest and Oneness with God and inherit Divine Kingdom as God's children. So Yes!, it is therefore possible to Transcend the ego and worldly system around us and be "One with God", now and in Eternity. Jesus spoke about the "Holy Spirit" [which I believe is the Divine power and presence of Almighty God] given by God's grace through our Lord Jesus, so the person can Grow into true Image of God and be like Christ (you can say that Christ is like SatGuru for us, as Guru Nanak is SatGuru for Sikhs). He is our way to God/Father [John 14:6]. For Christians, seeing Jesus is seeing God Himself, because God the Father was fully manifest or revealed in Jesus Christ [John 14:9, John 1:18 etc].
For Christians, Christ reveals the true Heart of the Almighty God, which is "Love". Bible states "God is Love" [1 John 4:8] and "God is Light" [1 John 1:5]. For Christians, Jesus lived in the love of God, spoke about the Love of God and manifested this Divine Love fully, even to the point of dying on the Cross as a love Sacrifice towards us by the hands of sinful men to demonstrate the love of God towards His children, who have forgotten Him and their true self [their true image, made in His image and likeness]. Jesus was Not a human sacrifice to pacify God [this view is only held by protestant Christians, it is called "Penal Substitution Theory", although not all protestant hold this view, including Myself]. The Love of God in Christ Jesus, as demonstrated in his life, culminating in his violent death on the cross by the sinful system of this world compels and divinely empowers those who put their trust in him and learn from him, to live truly for God. Those who honor his love sacrifice and put their trust in him receives forgiveness of all their committed sins [and whenever they need forgiveness] by the grace of God and receives the "gift of the Holy Spirit" to empower them to live a True life in God, which is pleasing to both God and Christ Jesus, as they are "One". Jesus prayed also for us, so that we may be "One with God" as he and the Father are One [John 17:21-22].
Ok, my Sikh friend, that's all for now. I do like what I have heard about Sikhism, such as compassion, love, sacrifice and unity etc which I also find in my Christian faith. I find that there is much similarity between us. God Bless You.

Brother, I want to know if Christianity teaches us how to become image of God then why I can't see most of the Christians doing that. For eg. We look like our Gurus and don't cut our hair(it is our Gurus order and that's how nature want us to look like) why I can't find anything like that in Christians.

    • @golddiamond7440
      @golddiamond7440 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

+Inderjit Singh Hi Brother, Bible does show and teaches that a person can become completely "One with God", or to become an exact "image of God" in human form. I, as a Christian believe that Jesus was completely "One with God" and the Divine light of God was Fully manifest in Jesus and that we by the Grace of God through Lord Jesus can also radiate God's light and glory. I noticed that Sikhs friends say similar things about Guru Nanak and Sikhs. Sadly, there are people who are busy in the things of this world and have "forgotten" that they were made in the "image of God". There are Christians, who are truly following the teaching of Lord Jesus and are growing in the grace of God, and are experiencing oneness with Him. I, as a Christian respect Guru Nanak and his loving message about tolerance, patience, unity, sacrifice, love etc, which I also find in my own faith.
Regarding the Nature, there are so many things that we do to ourselves outwardly, which can either have a positive or negative affect on us, so I think, for a person to have either long hair or short hair is not important and we should Not judge anyone. Both Sikhs and Christians cut or trim their hand and toe nails (this is contrary to nature, because nails grow continuously, but we trim it to prevent any injury or infection), so I think having long hair or short hair is not important, But if one chooses or "must" have long or short hair [for either religious or cultural purpose], then he should follow it.
To my knowledge, having long hair in Sikhism is a symbol of one belonging to Khalsa. The symbol of having long hair, I think has more to do with one belonging to Khalsa than about becoming one with Nature or how God made us, because if one never cuts his hair to become one with nature (or to respect how God made him), then the same person should also not cut his hand and toe nails (but Sikh friends do trim their hand and toe nails). Therefore in Sikhism, I think that having long hair is a symbol of one belonging to Khalsa, and not necessarily about becoming one with nature.
For Christians, it is to become like Lord Jesus from the "inside" by the power of Holy Spirit, which would then manifest outwardly as divine love, compassion, goodness, mercy, forgiveness, sacrifice. Friend, generally we do not put much emphasis on how one should look outwardly. Although Christian priests in Orthodox and Catholicism wear their religious Vestments during church service, also Orthodox and Catholic Christian nuns and monks have their clothing according to their religious tradition.
Christians [according to the Bible] are to let the world know that they are truly the Disciples of Lord Jesus by radiating his love. Jesus said in John 13:34-35: "A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. By this all men [the world] will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”. Jesus also said in Matthew 5:43-46: "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?".
So friend, Christians are commanded by Lord Jesus to manifest Divine love to the world as Jesus manifested the Divine love of God the Father. This is how one has to let the world know that they are truly the disciples of Lord Jesus, and not necessarily by any particular look. But if Sikhism requires you to look outwardly in a particular way [including having long hair] then you have to follow it. But I respect that, knowing that you do it in obedience to your Guru's command and feel spiritually connected with him and God. Let us work for unity, and become peacemakers and pray for each other so God will let His light shine upon Mankind. May God/Waheguru Bless You.

      1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.
      1 Corinthians 3:16
Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?
      1 Corinthians 3:17
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.

But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
      Romans 8:9

why els would he ask us to question/test the spirits if we is`t allowed to make a contact ?
      1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Some old Christians did pray to the Archangels and messengers of God, like UriEl but a king made a stop to that, ask yourself why and why Rome did rewrite some of the bible, if you believe it is carivore to rip pages out of the book (books don't grow on trees to begin with) ask why our (I include myself as Im raised as one) Protestant bible contain 66 books (nice number ehh) and not the 73 as the Roman do ? IMHO we might as well render back to Rome what is Rome`s also the Roman bible and start listing to ourself and the spirits and messengers within and not the guru`s of Christianity
Uriel appears in the Second Book of Esdras found in the Biblical apocrypha (called Esdras IV in the Vulgate) in which the prophet Ezra asks God a series of questions, and Uriel is sent by God to instruct him
Archangel Uriel’s name means “the Light of God,” and she is often depicted with an open hand… holding forward a flame of light that is a gift of illumination for all human souls.Uriel was the one who offered the last chance of redemption to Cain (who refused him) According to the Book of Enoch, Uriel is the one who spoke to Noah about the flood. Some say it was Uriel who checked the doors for blood during the Passover that last night in Egypt.
The open hand of Archangel Uriel represents the openness and willingness to receive the love of God and to remain spiritually devoted. Filled with Archangel Uriel’s energy of unconditional love, souls become ignited with passion and a purpose of service. Archangel Uriel can help you to listen to your body’s inner wisdom, open channels for divine guidance, and increase your devotion to Spirit and a path of pure love.
Thoughts, ideas, creativity, insights, judgment, magic, alchemy, astrology, universal consciousness, divine order, the distribution of power, the cosmic universal flow and the Earth’s environment are all within Uriel’s rule. (all the stuff the Chaotic church call sin)
Uriel is humanity’s link to the spiritual realms and she can show you how to find your inner power and accelerate your shift into the higher realms of consciousness.
Uriel can help you to heal every aspect of your life, through the purification of mental and emotional understanding and the transmutation of lower vibrational energies into enlightened spiritual understanding.
One might also ask oneself, if you believe most of the governments of the world have been corrupted, why would it be any different with the church ? knowledge's is power or the lack of it can make them who have it appears as an authority maybe even God`s themself ?
      "Know thyself" !!!!

Loved it when Jay mentioned Jesus saying the Kingdom of God is within you .. indeed he did in Luke 17:20.
And when the Pharisees had demanded of Him when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, "The Kingdom of God comes not with outward show.
Neither shall they say, `Lo, it is here!' or `Lo, it is there!' For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you."
