- On Sunday 20th Sept, Basics of Sikhi Street Parchar team went to Speakers Corner in Hyde Park London. We spoke to many people of different faiths, including 3 Muslims and the videos will be coming soon. Check out when we spoke to this English cab driver who said she's gonna go Gurdwara after speaking with us! Watch till the end!

I’m 15 and I was born Sikh but I’m not sikhi I kept on making mistakes and got in trouble but jugraj Singh helped me to learn a lot about my own religion and I prayed every morning and evening and I my life was a lot better and I became a much happier and better person I owe him everything
My brother you are a sikh as long you say my guru is guru granth sahib and I you know that God is one 🙏 you are very lucky to born into Sikhi
But if you leave Sikhi or convert into Islam or Christians then if want to come back into Sikhi then you need to be baptize and wear the 5 ks and everything but if you born into Sikhi than you are just born Sikh

Like the lady in the video, I'm an atheist who has fallen in love with Sikhi. I have studied most all faiths, lol mostly to be able to debate them better. But happened onto Sikhi from watching the debate with dawah man, and can find nothing that I dislike in the religion. In fact I hope to visit a gurdwara soon, only all of them are about an hour away from me. Is why this youtube channel is so nice.

If u recite japji sahib daily u will feel a divine energy a power an enlightment of soul.Japji sahib is a meditative prayer done early in the morning when world is calm Quiet and u can communicate with God .Besides we have evening and night prayers which all soothe the mind and soul

I've watched so many of these "Basics of Sikhi" videos by Jagraj Singh over the years - & have watched some of them several times over. I have a lot of admiration for Jagraj - he is a gifted & articulate speaker. But he also impresses as a very genuine person who has "the common touch" - he is a very amiable person, who could easily talk to anyone about Sikhi, in a way they could understand, & without making them feel threatened that someone was trying to "convert" them.
I was so saddened when I heard several years ago, that he'd learnt he had a terminal illness, & did not have very long to live. I remember watching the streaming of his memorial/funeral service on video.
I think he's done a great deal for Sikhi by creating more awareness of it in the general community through his street parchar, & videos like the one above. As a result of his efforts & actions, I think many non-Sikhs who previously knew nothing at all about Sikhi as a religion, now know at least the very "Basics of Sikhi". But I think he has also helped to re-invigorate the faith & practices of many Sikhs themselves & helped them to gain a better understanding of their own religion.
I do miss being able to watch new talks & videos by Jagraj - so I tend to re-watch his existing videos. I'm sure his absence must still be keenly felt in the Sikh community. In his relatively short life here - he certainly made it worthwhile & left a legacy to proud of - though I'm sure he himself would probably be more modest about his accomplishments. He certainly came across as a man of "action" - the kind of person who "puts their money where their mouth is", in a manner of speaking. I hope his wife & children are managing okay - they must really miss him.

The main difference between Muslims and Sikhs are how Bhai Ji is explaining everything so calmly and in soothing manner and the Muslim leader shouting in background .

Jagraj has too much compassion and is too humble. All the gurus are waiting for him.

I have no faith but i'd really like to visit a Gurdwara. I'd love to learn more about Sikhism. I've watched many of your videos and I'm really impressed by how knowledgeable, articulate and passionate you are about your beautiful religion. And also how patient and compassionate you are, even with those that disagree with you. Can I really just visit a local Gurdwara, even though I have no faith?

Because only bad news makes the news. Im sorry to say it but controversy surrounds a lot of faiths but not so much with sikhi.
+gmannK1 Because over the past decade most Sikhs fell into the competitive model of life wasting knowledge and wisdom on the material to prove their worth over their neighbours and "other castes" rather than to God for the sake of themselves. This filtered into gurudwaras and also lead to superficial cosmetic vanity driven passtimes and self indulgent so called leaders stagnating something that should have been evolving true to simple communal principles.

Do honest deeds/righteous living
Serve the poor and needy/selfless service

Because the awakening starts from within.
Because your soul wants to connect with god as it the very principle or duty of it but you are unable to do it because you are lost in the worldly desires and have no knowledge about how to do it. So even the little knowledge or information you got from this video,it somewhere touched your soul because it was the truth which your soul is looking for and even the little amount of truth which your ears heard went straight to your soul deep inside and hence the goosebumps. And just imagine when you find the whole truth. I hope you understand what i tried to convey and sorry for any mistake made by me during conveying this message as i am not the guru. I come from Tamil civilization where a famous tamil poet named Kaniyan poongundranar said 3000 years ago , the same principle ..... +Basics of Sikhi Sikhi is very very nice religion friendly towards other religions. I am christian and I do respect it, I just dont like Islam cause of how they treat women and all that stuff... I also see we do have same thing which is Human rights Sikhism also says that women are equal to men, but Islam dont for them are women second class which is very disrespectful.
