    I almost cried today during your video. I haven't practiced yoga in years and being a very obese individual I have been hyping myself up to practice yoga again and to take it seriously to help my emotional and physical health. I had to modify everything, and I mean everything, but the release of tension through my body has been profound. I have been subscribed to your channel for months hoping to one day take the first step back into my health and today was the lucky day. And I am just so freaking proud of myself. Thank you Adrienne, you can really feel the non judgmental environment you have created here on YT and I am excited to grow with you within 2020 now. 🙏

      @@frankjuuh it has been a rough 2020 for everyone but I am still doing yoga pretty much every week. Sometimes I can only do it once a week due to time constraints and sometimes I can do the three day a week goal I originally set. Still a staple in my life.

    The thing is… I’m 36 and I started yoga with Adriene in my mid 20s. I genuinely have so much love for this woman and what I have learned. My relationship with my body and my breath. Every time I come back to the practice after it’s been some time I learn something different because I don’t always need the same thing, but somehow she has a way of guiding me there. And the thing that gets me MOST is that even though I can’t even put into words what she has done for me, there are literally MILLIONS of people who she has done the same with. Best yet 10 years later and she is still the exact same guiding force she was then. All my love to this woman, eternally grateful.

    When asked how it felt to take time out for myself, I quietly whispered “It feels good” and then promptly started crying because I’ve neglected myself for so long. But here I am, showing up for myself and it’s really in part because of Adriene. 💗

    Thank you Adriene. My father had a stroke attack 2days ago, I was in the hospital feeling guilty that I didn't have courage to convince my dad to do yoga, walking or any fitness activity for that matter. My father retired from military 8 years ago and had been sedantary since then. I will overcoming my fear and talk to him to go along with him on morning walks. I will have to get up early around 5:30am when he wakes up. Thank you all the YWA community & hope you all be well and fit too. Lots of love

    Wonder day 10 - today was the first time I could do tree pose with my foot above my knee, and I was shocked when we switched legs and I found I could do both sides! I definitely found some joy in celebrating on my mat while trying not to get too distracted and lose my balance 😂🎉 wishing everyone a joyful practice today 💜

    Blessed Beloved Embody Yogis! I mistakenly swapped Day 19 & 18. With that being said, "Rebirth" served me perfectly yesterday and "Yoga Joy" is exactly what I needed today after being in the hospital with my Mom for 12 hours yesterday. There's a lot to be joyous about. I am here another day and so is my Mom. Thankfully, she didn't have to pursue any procedure, yet the hospital was backed up and trying a new system that caused their schedules to be off by hours. Now, Mom did have an invasive test which requires she takes it easy for at least a week. I needed this practice today to remind myself of the many things to be joyous about. Namaste & Ase! 🦋❤🦋

    This particular practice never fails to put a smile on my face. Had quite a difficult day, had a panic attack in public and here i am at the end of this practice smiling like a goofball😅.

    I kept the knocking pretty light today. I hadn't really gave myself time to relax today. Honestly, taking time for myself is hard. I do, everyday, make time for myself. It is hard to truly be with myself. To just be. This is something I've noticed over the last month. Starting Celebrate, I wasn't sure it was what I needed. But, oh boy it was. Following along with September's calendar, I have learned to celebrate myself. I am trying to. Thank you, Adriene. Celebrate, day 30 💛💜💚

    I worked at a Yogasix for about 6 months and no teacher goes in depth, and detail like you do. Not that they are bad at teaching or anything but I would not have the same understanding of yoga without your videos. Truly from the bottom of my heart thank you, you have helped me get through really hard times and have made me an overall more mindful, thankful person. You inspire me so much and I hope you know and feel how appreciated and loved you are. Such an amazing soul.

    first day back at the mat again after a year and some illnesses. i had to pause every 5 minutes to regain my energy but im proud that i still chose to finish the video and continue my practice at my own pace. Thanks for sharing the joy, Adriene and Benj!!

    Before going into this practice, I read this week's love letter by Adriene, and in it she presented some questions on which to reflect after June's theme of GET TO KNOW. It was wonderful, and I was able to see and feel the ways that I had grown and learned. Then this new theme for July (JOY) is absolutely perfect timing in my life right now! It aligned perfectly with where my thoughts and internal goals have been. And this practice was easy to be joyous during, as I found something new during plank pose that made me feel powerful and strong as I found ease in going into cobra pose, and then I was able to really let loose and find something new yet again in Knocking on Heaven's Door. It is amazing how, after years of doing yoga (even the same videos many times too!), I still find something new to serve me as I grow. Thank you! so so wonderful

    Blessed Beloved Beauties! Delight Day - 2 was completed yesterday and the "Yoga Journey" of the "Delight" calendar was completed on Day - 2 instead of Day - 1. It was drenched at the lake practicing amongst the ants on my mat. I politely brushed them away and enjoyed the energizing, strengthening, and refreshing practice. Best wishes, everyone! 🦋❤️🦋

    This will be my third challenge with Adriene. I am using the calendar that will guide my practices for the month of July. I loved this session! I prefer practices that run between 20-30 minutes so this was perfect for me! Thank you!

    This practice made me cry. I have always been kind of skeptical about yoga during years of having body image problems and trying to lose weight. This exercise was tough, made me lose my breath a few times. But it was still connecting. Connecting to the earth, the sky, and to myself... It was not torturing my body. It was just soft, kind, good ol' movement for my soul and my body. Thank you for introducing me to this ❤

    Extra thankful to be back after finishing breast cancer surgery three months ago and radiation 10 days ago. I was stage 1 and I’ll be ok. Back on the mat after a six month time out - and my theme this year has been Joy. So…Yoga Joy was extra perfect today!

    DELIGHT😆 - July 2024
    I delight in finding the joy within my practice and following that, my life.
    Yoga helps me to see the many joys that are constantly surrounding us and to embrace the internal and external light. I found myself taking the time today just to play, have fun and not take myself too seriously as I felt my mental chatter started to take an unhelpful turn prior to todays practice. I needed some time to let it got, let it flow, and take some time to tap into more positive frequencies that I can use to combat the negative. FEEL JOY ATTRACT JOY🤗🤗🤗🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✨✨✨✨✨🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻💛💛💛💛💛 (joy is clearly yellow to me!). Namaste to my joyous yoga friends all the way from Bristol🙏💓 xx

    Thank you so much Adriene, I can’t thank you enough, if I hadn’t found yoga 18months ago and started to follow you I don’t know how I would have gotten through supporting my mother through her health issues and through the last 3 weeks since her passing and the celebration of her life. I’ve brought yoga into my life on and off the mat and adopted the mantra ‘Everything is as it should be’ I’ve done your ‘Yoga for grief’ video, ‘Yoga for gut health’ and this morning ‘Yoga Joy’ finding the joy my mother left in my life. Through yoga and keeping myself happy and healthy I continue to honour the wonderful woman she was, continuing to find what feels good and letting go that which no longer serves me. Namaste 🙏

    I feel like this is gonna be a good one for what looks to be an all-day rainy day ahead. I woke at 5:00 am in the morning and it was still densely clouded, dark, and raining just as heavily as when it started last night. This practice along with a mug of hot chocolate next to a warm fireplace? well, I don't know about you but this Sunday couldn't possibly get any better. Thank you, Adriene for yet again making my day better by reminding me to appreciate the small things and find joy in my surroundings no matter the situation. In this case, trying to find joy in the rainy weather. Thank you for spreading the positive vibes. Much love. Namaste.

    I'm so proud of myself for trying! It may be billed as "joy," but it's hard work, and I did the hard work to the best of my abilities - tree pose keeping my toes on the ground, for instance. I often shrink away from the vinyasas, the flows, but I'm trying to embrace them and use what I can do to challenge myself and feel good about what I am able to to.

    I"ve been having some really challenging days, feeling low and only wanting to cry for no apparent reason. I'm scared of never being able to get out of this. Today I finally had enough strength to get on the mat, knowing it would help, and of course... My body is stiff from spending too much time lying down, but this was a first step towards an actual self love practice. Thank you Adriene for this mental health playlist, and the community for all these reactions that make me feel understood and less alone.

    just did this practice at 10pm never usually do it at nighttime but today was Mother’s Day in Uk and took my mum out for a meal and finished off the night to this yoga practice such a nice way to end the day , yoga fits into anytime of the day, best wishes to my yogis ❤

    Embody Day 18: Man, I was hoping yesterday’s practice had brought the joy back for me but I actually checked out for tree pose today and spaced out on the ground. But as soon as knocking on heaven’s door started I popped right back up. Hopefully I find my yoga joy again.

    I needed this practice this morning! It’s been an extremely hard week for me. I found out that an autoimmune disease that was in remission has flared up again and is now threatening my eyesight. I am devastated. I managed to find a little joy through this practice. Thank you to Joy for inspiring it, sending my love to her family and friends, and to Adriene and team.

    It's dawn. A Friday. But I'm at the lowest mood and yeap this one really bring me joy, a real joy for accepting my feelings but not to be drown in it. Yoga IS joy.

    I'm in Montreal practicing. Doing HONOR month. I didn't feel a lot of joy doing this practice (having a rough day), but I'm still glad I carved out 20 minutes of my day to give it a shot.

    I love the pace of this flow…I usually vibe so much with a slower pace, but 40-something days in to practicing with YWA and suddenly I could keep up. I never thought I would be so thrilled to jump into a practice after a long, long day and celebrate when I get to plank pose...but here I am! So grateful for what you share, Adriene + this community you’ve cultivated. Namaste.❤️

    After a very stressfull week and weekend. I did not know what type of practice I needed. So I let the algorithm surprise me (from my mom's phone) and it did! I ususally look for practices that can make me more erfficient or at least functional as I have a lot of trouble with procrastination and mood swings! I would barely search on my own for a practice dor simply joy! But I'm glad this one appeared, today! I think I needed to laugh at myself and everything and amile for only the sake of smiling and laughing! Also it feels great that more and more often plank pose is a confy position for my body where I feel strong and at ease! Namaste! 🙏

    September really flew by! This practice is short and efficient and it shows me how stable I've become in many poses that felt difficult when I was getting started :)

    Here for March Embody. I teared up today during practice. Getting in touch with emotion is difficult. Yoga has a way of gently dismantling pieces of those walls I’ve put up. Today was vulnerable and scary *and* filled with joy.

    Lovely practice. I don't recall ever doing the #4 shape forward fold while balancing on one leg, but it did wonders for my hip/hamstrings. I had some irritation earlier from a long walk and wasn't sure I'd be strong enough for this vinyasa session, but ending with the balancing stretch and knocking on heavens door was just what I needed. I feel a mixture of calm and joy which only Adriene can help achieve.

    I started to combine sciatica stretches with this after them and…..let me tell you this is by far the best video for a light/medium core strengthening yoga practice which helps with my sciatica pain whilst I’m trying to heal it the pain goes away for at least 2 days and I repeat the same stretches after 2 days. Yin yoga helped a bit although nothing like those stretches has helped me combining it with this vinyasa flow. So thank you, it’s a miracle. ❤ I’ll continue doing them and potentially adding more core base yoga to help me heal from sciatica pain…..

    These practices have for me been right in sync with my holiday and other related stress level. I am grateful for my situation and really have no particular reason for feeling slightly off kilter. This months practice has been so cleansing and stabilizing and makes me feel like a different person after, magical yoga🙏🏻🎄🎅

    came to this practice feeling really turmoiled. towards the end, I found myself smiling and engaged with the practice. my sad and angry feelings haven't totally lifted yet, but I feel lighter and warmed up for the day ahead. I'm grateful for giving myself this time just to check in and be good to myself. my namaste today felt like accepting myself as I am, flaws and all. Happy holidays.

    Motivate day 19. March 2023. It’s Mothers’ Day in Ireland and it hasn’t stopped raining all day. This was a good practice for today although my balance was bad. Lovely to finish with Knocking on Heaven’s Door.
    Breathe day 22, December 2022. First day of the Christmas break. It was busy. Loved this practice. Simple and fast, but enough time to check in with the body, and breathe.
    Celebrate day 20. September 2022. This practice was so great. I have had quite the week, finishing on a pure high. This was just what I needed to take some time for myself.
