This might be my favorite YWA video ever. Been practicing with varying consistency for years, and for some reason it's been a few months since I've been on the mat. And then the comforting ease of Adreine and Benji in the yoga room, so familiar, welcoming me back to this space I've neglected. This has everything, gentle movement, classic Benji, a beautiful reminder that even Adriene loses her balance sometimes, and the intention that popped into my head was "return to your breath", which is something that I've heard Adriene say hundreds of times but today it felt like coming home. What a gift. Thank you Adreine and YWA team.

Yoga is so healing and can become an essential component of self care. I encourage you to take 200 hour yoga teacher training to learn more. Don't feel intimidated by the word teacher either, it really is just a more intensive study on yoga theory and practice to build understanding. Well worth the investment which I did and I have no intention to teach anyone. Warm wishes ❤❤❤❤❤
I was in a similar place this past summer, dealing with loss and intense anxiety, with panic attacks. Yoga and a gym routine got me through, and calmed my nerves so much! Now I am stronger, confident and am starting weight training. Still working on myself but with better focus and much more self-love and care. Sending you love and healing! I went through a lot of domestic violence with my most recent partner. On one occasion he sliced up my yoga mat into several pieces with his switch blade. I used to practice everyday, but because of this I haven't been able to practice for months. I cried when I tried because I was reminded of what happened. We've broken up and he finally moved out yesterday. This morning when I woke up, this video was in my notifications. I took it as a sign. First thing, hopping out the bed, I followed along and got through it without tears. I always knew I didn't need a mat to practice, but I felt like a part of me was hijacked. This was the first step to getting back to myself. Thank you, Adriene.
I feel you sister been 8 months since he beat the hell out of me and still under trauma and healing, yoga is helping me so much. keep strong, when i practice yoga and breathing techniques i get into a different mindset. sending hugs.

Morning routine: 1) Write to-do list, including many tasks to punish or compensate for my perceived lack of productivity or laziness the day before. 2) A session with Adriene, realising that I can do things which feel good while benefitting me in the long and short term. 3) Cross off all of the unnecessary and harsh tasks on my to-do list. 4) Breathe easily.
I woke up much earlier than usual this morning and was rewarded with my first YWA premiere screening. I sat cross-legged on my block watching watching the timer on the screen counting down and the number of viewer waiting with me increase. I’m feeling the power of the live community this morning. As soon as she said “and slide down into home base” I let out a maniacal burst of laughter and then promptly burst into tears. It’s been well over four months since I’ve practiced yoga daily, like I was before I started lifting weights and the release I felt at those words was more powerful than I was expecting. It’s nice to read the comments and realize I’m not alone and that many others shared in this exact feeling. What a wonderful world we live in guys. ❤
It always amuses me when Adriene thanks the viewer because I just want to thank her every time for making this exist! This channel is easily one of my favorite part of youtube and honestly one of the most wonderful uses of such a service! I'm so thankful for her and her team for finding ways to make this series! Yoga with Adriene is one of my best habits!
I couldn't say it any better. I don't use TH-cam except for YWA and Nature Healing Society. She has been a life saver for me after COVID when my local yoga instructor had to quit and then I found Adriene. Never went back to class. Instead, I spend my mornings with Adriene and Benji. 💕💕
I always say "namaste, thank you Adriene," after practice, along with her. I am always SO grateful afterwards, (often a practice will turn my entire day around) and this closing does highlight those feel good juices, which helps us savor them even more! Following her voice over the last decade has me well trained for any video that might not include that closing. Usually I'm sitting there with my eyes closed, and in the rare instance Adriene doesn't do a guided thank you/namaste, the music for the next video will start up, and the missing piece sticks out like a sore thumb to me! I always say it myself. Can't wrap up a yoga with Adriene session without the "namaste thank you," even if Adriene herself skips it! 😂 I suppose it becomes a ritualized part of practice, over time.
Adrienne and Benji: You have gotten me through some of my hardest moments by reminding me I am courageous for showing up to the mat - no matter what I am feeling. I always end up coming back to your videos - each time I need a push. I sincerely feel now, through years of healing, you have been the missing piece of what was giving me… peace… within myself. So I find myself back here and I will be starting one of your monthly challenges - when I felt the best I had ever felt was after completing that month several years ago: through years, smiles and pain: I felt strong, capable and was in the longest remission from BPD. 6 years ago I was a young mom (26) with 3 kids and starting the BSN Program and knew I needed something to help keep me balanced. I found the 30 days YWA on TH-cam and committed myself to that and now I’m no longer nursing and just finished the 200 YTT 🎉 Yoga has changed my life and I REALLY want to thank you for being that vessel that helped me find my purpose ❤ even tho I’m a new instructor I still get up and do your videos. Good morning! Thank you for sharing your talents through this practice-maybe you can answer this, but each time I did the quad stretch this morning I got a cramp in my calf muscle. Next time I will make sure to stretch this before I begin just in case. But wasn’t expecting it so was surprised this morning.
I saw this practice on the calendar and felt kinda bad cos I thought it was supposed to be strictly a morning practice and I don't have the time. But then I decided to insert my definition of "wake up" and I realized it can be anything you make it out to be. I'm practicing this in the evening after a nap and I feel very alive. I did this practice not that long ago, and enjoyed it. Now I'm doing it again today after doing another yoga practice, and before I move on to my third, and final one of the day. Breathing through my nose when it's stuffy is so hard but it does make it easier to hear the sound of my breath because I sound like a broken kettle 😂 The sound of being alive! I hope this day is kind to all of you. 💜

WONDER ❄ | December 6, 2023 | Part 1 - How lovely to come back to this practice just a month after the first time. Again I didn't do it first thing in the morning but rather later in the day, but it works just as good as a wind-down! It's just a great, unhurried practice to gently wake up the body. 🙏

This was a gentle way to ease myself back into practice. I sometimes sit in sukhasana or shavasana after the video ends, so I really appreciate Adriene and the YWA team's decision to never put an ad at the end, because Adriene sometimes would have us stay longer if we feel like it :)

Thank you, Adriene. Been made redundant. So scared to get out there, with my age and race, and everything in between. This practice made me forget about the worry, even for just 13 minutes.
That was a perfect yoga practice for me today. The ironic thing is I'm actually doing it before I go to bed not in the morning to wake me up. But it has a woken the energy in my body, that I have been lacking all day. Today was not a good day for my body, I woke up 7am feeling terrible having a Fibromyalgia flair up. And Anyone with fybro will know how i felt, so I cancelled my plans, and went back to bed. I've been there pretty much all day, feeling completely awful but after this yoga practice I feel so much better, and lighter in myself. I'm now ready to go back to bed, and have a good night's sleep. Thank you so much Adriene you are a miracle worker you really are. See you tomorrow my friend, Namaste. 🙏 ❤
I got up to a video that left me no excuse to not do yoga this morning. Yes I don't have a lot of time, but I can spare 15 minutes to care for myself. Thanks my word was Grateful because yesterday was 40 days since my mom left the earth and we had an amazing prayer meeting for her . She was and is the best best best mother in the universe. So I’m grateful for my MA❤

Today was my first redundancy consultation at work and though I started back on the mat to help my physical back pain from exercise, the mental benefits of just stopping and reflecting each day have been very beneficial during this time where I have been on a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions recently as its my first time going through a redundancy.

I love your style, that you work from the inside out with alignment reminders and placement reminders. I love Benji. After your classes I feel energized and happy I practiced. I am doing mostly beginner right now, I didn't practice much for 4 years and your classes are perfect for my re-entry. I can progress thru the levels while really enjoying the class. And I am challenged and using my muscles in your beginner classes too. :)
That is what brought me to the mat this morning. It was either a tylenol every morning or yoga. Hopefully with dedicated morning yoga this will bring my pain to a bearable amount that I do not need drugs.

Adriene, I am not sure if you’ll see this but you have been instrumental in helping me navigate my separation and then subsequent job loss. These moments of calm and taking care of myself while learning to breathe and be kinder to myself had helped. I’ve dabbled in yoga for years but only recently have made it a weekly habit. I can’t believe how much I’ve already benefitted from it. Adriene guides you through the practice so beautifully and intentionally, I’ve never felt more in tune with my body.
Here again, suffering a lot, cannot believe that last time it was so easy, today it was such a challenge, even though I loved it, it made me struggle to finish….😢

It's been awhile since I've done yoga. Adding grad school to my life made me think I "no longer have time," but this practice just felt like coming home. Thank you. Started practicing with Adriene since the 2016 30 days of yoga. Adriene, you have changed the world. Keep being you!
Salute day 17! 97 more days to hit my goal of 200 practice days this year. It feels good to remember the feeling of waking up and being active. It's such a great way to start my day!

I have been feeling poorly (bronchitis) and have not made it more than a few minutes into a video the past several days. This was the first practice I have made it through in probably a week. Feels great! 🙂

I absolutely love the 30-day "challenges" too,
and I find myself going back to them again and again. Holding thumbs for a new one come January 2024!
6 years ago I was a young mom (26) with 3 kids and starting the BSN Program and knew I needed something to help keep me balanced. I found the 30 days YWA on TH-cam and committed myself to that and now I’m no longer nursing and just finished the 200 YTT 🎉
Yoga has changed my life and I REALLY want to thank you for being that vessel that helped me find my purpose ❤ even tho I’m a new instructor I still get up and do your videos. Yoga family love to you and Benji❤

Good morning! Thank you for sharing your talents through this practice-maybe you can answer this, but each time I did the quad stretch this morning I got a cramp in my calf muscle. Next time I will make sure to stretch this before I begin just in case. But wasn’t expecting it so was surprised this morning.

I saw this practice on the calendar and felt kinda bad cos I thought it was supposed to be strictly a morning practice and I don't have the time. But then I decided to insert my definition of "wake up" and I realized it can be anything you make it out to be. I'm practicing this in the evening after a nap and I feel very alive. I did this practice not that long ago, and enjoyed it. Now I'm doing it again today after doing another yoga practice, and before I move on to my third, and final one of the day. WONDER ❄ | December 6, 2023 | Part 1 - How lovely to come back to this practice just a month after the first time. Again I didn't do it first thing in the morning but rather later in the day, but it works just as good as a wind-down! It's just a great, unhurried practice to gently wake up the body. 🙏

I have not completed a yoga practice in months. I needd something easy and familiar before a supervision meeting I am anxious about. I appreciated very much this practice and may do it again this weekend with my girlfriend as she prepares for a big trip.

Although, I still need to grade. I'm about to complete some grading. I am enjoying this term because I am instructing Humanities (no English this term). I appreciate that the load is not as heavy this term. I do go to the campus this term once a week to start tutoring on Fridays. I'm not really looking forward to the in-person educating, yet I will project the best. I will certainly keep my distance. This was a gentle way to ease myself back into practice. I sometimes sit in sukhasana or shavasana after the video ends, so I really appreciate Adriene and the YWA team's decision to never put an ad at the end, because Adriene sometimes would have us stay longer if we feel like it :)

That was a perfect yoga practice for me today. The ironic thing is I'm actually doing it before I go to bed not in the morning to wake me up. But it has a woken the energy in my body, that I have been lacking all day. Today was not a good day for my body, I woke up 7am feeling terrible having a Fibromyalgia flair up. And Anyone with fybro will know how i felt, so I cancelled my plans, and went back to bed. I've been there pretty much all day, feeling completely awful but after this yoga practice I feel so much better, and lighter in myself. I'm now ready to go back to bed, and have a good night's sleep. Thank you so much Adriene you are a miracle worker you really are. See you tomorrow my friend, Namaste. 🙏 ❤
I got up to a video that left me no excuse to not do yoga this morning. Yes I don't have a lot of time, but I can spare 15 minutes to care for myself. Yes I have kids to get ready, but at least 2 of them will want to do this too. My intention was to just do it. Let it set my pace for the day. And I did it. Have a blessed day everyone.

Thanks my word was Grateful because yesterday was 40 days since my mom left the earth and we had an amazing prayer meeting for her . She was and is the best best best mother in the universe. So I’m grateful for my MA❤

Today was my first redundancy consultation at work and though I started back on the mat to help my physical back pain from exercise, the mental benefits of just stopping and reflecting each day have been very beneficial during this time where I have been on a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions recently as its my first time going through a redundancy.
I've bene feeling bad about my body and it's shape and softness and your soothing vibes are really what I need recently.

I was doing the moves intentionally but jaded. At the end, with the side to side shoulder movements I unexpectedly smiled and a sense of lightness came to me. Thank you🙏

I love your style, that you work from the inside out with alignment reminders and placement reminders. I love Benji. After your classes I feel energized and happy I practiced. I am doing mostly beginner right now, I didn't practice much for 4 years and your classes are perfect for my re-entry. I can progress thru the levels while really enjoying the class. And I am challenged and using my muscles in your beginner classes too. :)

That is what brought me to the mat this morning. It was either a tylenol every morning or yoga. Hopefully with dedicated morning yoga this will bring my pain to a bearable amount that I do not need drugs.

These moments of calm and taking care of myself while learning to breathe and be kinder to myself had helped. I’ve dabbled in yoga for years but only recently have made it a weekly habit. I can’t believe how much I’ve already benefitted from it. Adriene guides you through the practice so beautifully and intentionally, I’ve never felt more in tune with my body.
Here again, suffering a lot, cannot believe that last time it was so easy, today it was such a challenge, even though I loved it, it made me struggle to finish….😢
