Seems to me the best all around club in the bunch is the cobra kings. Gives you distance, decent spin, and forgiveness. Also the fact it comes with the cobra connect is just amazing. Also price is less than the other 2 clubs.
Im getting the forged tec purely because of the copper version lol, i love how they look
From the looks of it, the shot dispersion on the MP20 HMB was tighter than the others...which is why I went for those in my 2i and 3i. Great clubs especially in the long irons.
Good but I did not hear your take on the king in that last part. I only heard reference to the MP and 790.

Got fitted and ended up with the P-790, I’m a 6 handicap and couldn’t ask for a better set of irons. The Mizuno irons look real nice tho. Keep up the great content AL
HMB definitely takes it for me.... Currently gaming the JPX 919 forged. Might have to give these a look.....
One of your best videos! I’m interested in trying HMB, but I had Mizuno several years ago, and just didn’t like them...I wanted to, and they were so pretty, but just didn’t work for me.

I love my new p790s beyond what i thought i would. But mizunos have always and probably always will wim best looking iron for any category of iron ever. I remember having 3 to pw titleist 690 cb. Went in clubhouse and left clubs around putting green returned and noticed my 7 iron was stolen. I was pissed. Went to local golf store the next day and asked if i could buy a used iron. They said we have last year demo irons for 10 bucks. But all they had was 6 irons. So i asked can you bend that 6 iron to 7 iron loft and cut and regrip it. That said yes. I walked out of that store with basically brand new Mizuno MP 15 6 iron to a 7 iron loft. I would literally not hit driver off tee and choose 3 wood or 4 to 6 iron just so i could hit that mizuno to the green. I miss that gem of an iron. Sold set when i bought the vr TW irons. That's a whole nother story. Those were my fav of all time
Great review. Was interesting to see the lower spin on P790. They seem to hold the green well without too much roll.
Come on Al....... consistent Mizi joy is the fairway through a round. (My jokes are not as good as yours) I’m having the Mizi’s all day long 7 iron btw. 💪
Just hit. The HMB fell the best but the P790 was longer for me. Traded in Mizuno hot metals but I think it was mostly a shaft issue (and some feel) additional money but more piece of mind. Great video!

i really like the cobra king forged tec, i actually got to test the 7 iron a couple days ago and gained an average of 10 yards on my current irons

For me it's the MP20 HMB irons all day long. Don't get me wrong I like the the looks of the other two. They're clearly impressive performing irons. However, as you mentioned, I'm a player that has plenty of distance so I tend to prefer weaker lofted irons.
P790 and Mizuno just seem more high end then the KING. I own the p790's so I'm a little biased. But its a toss up for me. I also have a set of ez forged which I love.

Mark Smith thank you! From what I saw, the P790 seemed slightly thinner and smaller. Not much between them all, just different shaping.
You should do a toe2toe with all the different blades Mizuno MP 20 Callaway apex mb Titleist 620 mb Taylor made p7tw Pxg 0311 st cobra forged mb three of them are pure blades and the other three have tungsten in them so it be interesting to get your opinion on what feels the best and if any of them are more forgiven

With just watching the 1st minute or so of the review AL , and you swing the MP20 HMB. My pic is Mizuno period. But I am bias as you know. Nothing feels and plays like a Mizuno. Plus their just beautiful 😍😍😍😍 .. Great review AL... # TeamAL
FYI..... Mizuno launched the MP-H4 Irons in 2012 so Mizuno has been doing Hollow construction Irons for almost a decade.... The point being you seem to think the TM P790 was the 1st or TaylorMade created the Hollow Iron category..... Not even close
The mizuno club's look lovely!!! They are the only ones that look as good as my i500's. The mizuno lofts are also the best out of the 3.

Has to be the HMB for me too, they look amazing, sound just as good and perform as you'd expect from a Mizuno. This demo day can't come quick enough!

Good review Al it all depends on the individual on performance; price; looks etc I’ve just picked up my Mizuno HMBs from winning them on James Robinson golf I played 4 holes with James yesterday at Huddersfield GC. I can only tell how good they are when I play with them on Saturday in the comp but first impression are they are beautiful too look at and the feel when it correctly are just superb, I think I’ll go and hit a few balls tomorrow because let’s face it you just have too😃😃😃

Alex Etches - GolfBox TV Yes it was a free set of Mizuno mp20s of my choice so I went full set of HMBs and I also got a 50 degree wedge which I wasn’t expecting.
It was a great morning yesterday and seeing how James done his videos was interesting.
I’ve got too say James is a top bloke very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Mind it was very windy when we played and no warm up before hand and 8.30 In the morning at Huddersfield in October well that’s probably the reason your in Australia!!! Thanks for the reply Al. 👍👍
Taylor Made has been doing it for years. Have you tried the much older Taylor Made TD Blades? One of the original foam insert blades.

So many have said the Cobras are “lower flighting” than others in same category. Is this true from your testing here? I’m a titliest guy but am very interested in those cobras after a fitting but can’t decide. Those t100s or callaway apex pros.
Another entertaining review. I've always found Mizuno to be the shortest in any comparison i've done. Feel great but they are always about a club short.

Your test yes...lofts were different. Comparison tests I did were same loft...34 degree 7 irons from Titleist AP2 and JPX tour messing around at Roger Dunn awhile back and recently at a fitting with my Srixon 785s up against MP 20 MMC...32 degree loft and Titleist T100(34 degree loft). Even the higher lofted T100 edged Mizuno by 3 yards. Obvi comes down to things like strike & turf interaction etc when all other variables are equalized. Srixons stayed in the bag after a few adjustments. Did really enjoy the T100 though and loved the look of the mizuno. Cheers
@@uwrossl Was just questioning what you wrote. Correct - strike is everything. Robot testing same lofts, weight etc. and I would be surprised if there was a yard in it. If you don't like the looks, feel etc. you'll throw different shapes into the ball and results will show!

Both the P790 and the Forged Tec are available in Left Handed but not the HMB ? come on Mizuno get with it

@@BuffaloBarber24 HI Chuck( I go by Chuck as well) Not sure if your referring to to or me, but I ended up going w/the Cobra king tec X's w/KBS PGI 75g shafts. I had the 919 hot metals but shafts were too heavy that I had in them. I got a decent discount on them vursus others and they feel good. A little smaller head, but I'm retired and can practice and play quite a bit. It helps living in the Village's in central Florida !😎🏌♂️

Great video! Full fat all the way! I grew up in the farm and it was cows' milk or nothing. Getting back to the irons, I've played mizunos for decades and, truth be told, nothing feels like a mizuno. The HMB is redefining this segment. Butter soft, forgiving, and long (if comparing equal lofts) without the unpredictable hot shots that seem plague these foam filled irons. I also love the fact that mizuno has stayed closer to traditional lofts. If you need more distance just take one more club. Having my shot stop on the green and a lower score is more important than long ball bragging rights. Nothing like real whipped cream (from the cow and unpasteurized instead of the store and processed), on pumpkin pie! It's Thanksgiving here in Canada.

Subject to one point I love the looks of the hollow body irons. The one downside for me is the relatively thick top line, I am sure I would get used to it. The P790 is just a tad thinner in the top line so wins on the looks
Yeah, agreed Justin. It would nice if they could blend a thinner top line (perhaps by making it solid right at the top) with the hollow body. Best of both worlds.

'be aware these are my numbers' - this means reduce the clobbered distance by c30-40%....unless you are Popeye and had spinnage... 😂👍👍👍

HMB looks fantastic, 790 is just a cosmetic change but still looks good, KING looks ordinary! king to big and no snake. Should have made the king smaller and added the snake.

The Cobra would look a WHOLE lot better, and really quite good, if they just hadn't put that horrendously large "KING" text across the back. I don't think they could have found another way to ruin the looks more than they have. Why did they do that?
