    I absolutely love your guy's reviews on Mizuno. Golf is a tough sport to master and expensive as well. So being able to rely on consistently true and honest reviews like yours, definitely reduces the fear of purchasing the right or wrong clubs. Been watching for years now. Cheers!

    I found the HMB offset as the day is long. My miss is an overcooked draw so it was nails on a chalkboard to look at. I went MMC/Blade combo. I WANTED THE HMB, but it didn't work with my odd eye.

    Great review as always Mark and Dan and really good to see on course testing. It’s really encouraging for mid handicappers such as me to see pros as good as you boys saying you could game all or some of these irons. I am going to give them a try as having seen them up close they look fantastic and a quality product. Keep up the good work chaps!

    I just bought a set of the 919 HM Pros which I've been told are the same as these HMB's. I played the MP-33's for 22 years and I can tell you that the HM Pros are a thousand times easier to hit and have taken several strokes of my 5 hcp. When the HMB's hit the states early next year I'll be testing them agains the HM Pros to get a good comparison. Great video guys...thanks for your help!

    • @wallstreetoneil
      @wallstreetoneil 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are in an almost exactly similar situation. I have weakened most of my Hot Metal Pros by 2 degrees for gapping reason (47, 42, 37, 32, 28, 24) but I did go and test out all the new MB20 range - the MMC and HMB being now my exact loft spec. You will love the MMC if you are like me - you will see the offset in the HMB versus the HM Pros. After a retest the next day when I didn't bring my HMP nor test the MMC or Blade, I didn't see the offset as much and decided to order an HMB #5, bent stronger to 24 degree (same as my 1 degree weaker HMP), and with a slightly lighter shaft (SteelFiber 110gram vs my 120gram Dynamic Pro S300) - and I did this all because I can't stand seeing the back of the HMP 5_iron at address. I may be crazy, it likely was stupid, but that is what I did.

    I’ve been fitted for the p790 and as my handicap has come to 6. I need more consistency from the irons and not get the bombs. I still struggle with strikes with my 4/5 irons. I tried out the short irons in the mp20 and absolutely loved the feel and looks. I can’t wait to see the blend video as I want to get mp20 6-pw then 4/5 iron in the hmb mp20. I haven't looked at pricing (happy w/current clubs), but for what I imagine is $1k plus for a set, not being able to test up and down the set (say 4,7, pw etc) with the different models keeps me away from even trying them. Thoughts?

    After watching a few number of reviews of the MP20, I find that the MMC just doesn't fit visually. If they're pushing the set blending then why have the MB and the HMB look like twins and the MMC like a long lost cousin? A lot of people are saying the would combo the set. 4-6 HMB and 7-PW the MB. I'd do that at the drop of a hat. Mizuno has got a winner here! Btw, HMB = Hold My Beer!

      From our experience players who choose the MMC are likely to take a pretty full set - with maybe just a 3 or 4 iron in the HMB. Will be a lot more variants on set splitting going on with the muscleback and the HMB. We'll have sets ordered 3-7 iron HMB, with just 8,9 PW in the muscleback.

    Another excellent review of one of golfs top manufacturers. Whenever they launch a new iron they always give you plenty of choices, which I like.

    Hell yea I would game them, I would do what Dan said and blade it up from pw to 6 iron. How about a give away for a set of these bad boys custom fit with dan the man!

    Yes I would game the whole set of HMB. They look awesome.

    Hi Mark, would you say that these irons would be comparable to the Taylormade P790 due to the hollow head design? Also, what sort of handicap would you say these are aimed at? I play off of 12 and would consider iron play my strength, but still am looking for something with decent forgiveness levels

    Might switch form p790 black. Idk if it’ll make any difference. Just scared they might be too chunky

    You reference the Titleist T-MB irons frequently in the video. These seem to be in the same lane as those irons, (I play the 718 TMBs) and you like the Mizzy irons a lot, apparently. But when you reviewed the Titleist irons, it didn't sound like your opinions were favorable. Has your opinion of the T-MB irons changed? If not, how are these Mizunos better, in your opinion?

    How would your blended gapping work out with the 4, 5 and 6 HMB with the MB 7, 8, 9, P when the lofts are stronger by 2 degrees please?

    • @leefitzsimmons7043
      @leefitzsimmons7043 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Prima Facie mizuno have said it’s best to reduce hmb by 1 degree and increase mb by 1 to split the difference. I’m guessing personally you should be testing the 6 & 7 to see actual gap in yards as everyone will be different

      I blended the MP-18's (MP, SC, MMC, and Fli-hi). I went with 4 degree spacing throughout 4-PW, and a 19 degree 3-iron. If you look at the new MP-20 SEL (lefty), Mizuno essentially does the same thing.

      Ask the lofts to be matched. Speak to the fitter as to which model has to be moved depending on your launch

    This HMB set is going to be similar to when Porsche introduced the Cayenne - everyone said it wasn't a real Porsche - and then it became by far the company's most important source of profits. This HMB is going to bring Mizuno sales that it never had before so it can also then continue to produce it's version of the 911 - ie its MB Blades for aspiring tour pros. The real shocker is that they didn't chase bomb ball numbers for marketing / sales and it ironically might be the thing that brings it the sales numbers that transforms the company into golf's leading brand again.

      They do with MMC and you have to work around a bit for the MB

    Was it the mizuno h4 and h5’s ???!!!
    Looks like I’m moving on from 12 year old MP 57’S. combo with hmb mb in low irons.
    Seems hard these days for irons to do what they’re meant to but mizuno make a 6 iron do 6 iron things.

    👌I had a Bridgestone air-muscle 2-iron. Bigger yet, Similar in concept. That was 2004-5ish... I'm curious to see the refined version.👌

    Could you blend mp32 with these mp20 hmb from the 6 to 3 iron? Love my mp32 playing them since 2005 when I was a 4 hcp. But now with the years gone by, I loose distance and find it difficult to consistently hit my mp32's from the 5 iron and longer... possible? I hope so because it would be really sad for me to retire my beloved mp32's...

    So how does the new MP20 Mizuno blendable line compare to the new Titleist blendable line (MB / T100 / T200 / T300). Feel (especially with the copper vs. naught)? Playability? Options? Ability to configure your set (as Titleist has more options to pick from, including new driving irons)?
    Great stuff!!
