The Kyu - Bisexual is liking girls and boys, pansexual is liking any gender. (Useless fact but I'm pan, but say I'm bi because a lot of people don't know what pan is)
The Kyu - Well, some people idenify as a different gender alltogether. For example; some people don't idenify as girl or boy, so could just say 'they' and could identify as another gender alltogether if they don't want to be one or the other.

People that are complaining about asexuality not being mentioned: if it bothers you THAT much, this might make you feel better. I kind of felt like at the end with the kid is referring up asexuality. Since he's all alone on a unibike. That's how I see it and I think you should see it that way too if it bothers you that much.
It bothers them because they're probably not ace. When people are faking stuff, they subconsciously seek out validation, because they need to reassure themselves that yes, they are definitely this.

I'm mad that everyone is mad that they didn't put their sexuality in there. This is just some simple explanation for someone who isn't fully aware of sexual orientations and could slowly learn new ones themselves.
Okay but asexuals exist, sexual and romantic orientation can be separate and that definition of bisexuality is very dated because it only recognises the existence of two genders.

In many parts of the world, this is still progressive and useful.

How is bisexuality dated? Bisexuals are sexually attracted to males and females. Pansexuals are sexually attracted to all genders. Homosexuals are sexually attracted to those of the same gender. Heterosexuals are sexually attracted to a different/opposite gender. Asexuals lack sexual attraction to people (but are still capable of being in a relationship, can still feel romantic, and can have sex. They simply don't feel sexual attraction to anyone most of the time). Polysexuals are attracted to some, but not all genders (so bisexual would fall under this category as well. An example of polysexuality is being sexually attracted to females, feminine nonbinary, and nonbinary, but not male). Bisexual is its own thing, and definitely not dated. Just because people are attracted to "both" (loose term for lack of a better one) genders, does not mean they are attracted to all. Saying that would be like saying "oh since you're attracted to those of the same sex, why not be attracted to everyone!"

Why tell people who think they are attracted to more than one gender that they might be confused and still sorting it out? 37 years later I'm still attracted to more than one gender... And yet I know plenty of people who have said they are straight, then they get older and come out as gay. I also know people who have said they are gay, then later say: well, it's just easier than admitting I'm bi. Or, I know people who identify as straight, but later behave in a bisexual way. So, in real life, the straight, gay, and lesbian identities are the only ones I ever really see being initially confused and changing, and usually towards a bisexual identity. I've only heard stories of people using bi as a stepping stone to gay, I've never actually met anyone who has...and I"m a bi activist in Chicago, so there are quite a few of us out and about talking about this.
Long story short, it's generally a bad idea to tell people who are attracted to more than one gender that they are confused 1st, and possibly (key word: possibly) bisexual second. It should be the other way around. That said, kudos for actually including bi (in what can/will be criticized as a very binary description) in the video.

Maybe, but it could also mean you’re asexual. Identifying as asexual means that you feel no sexual attraction to anyone. But, there are other orientations as well that you might feel more comfortable identifying with. For example, Graysexual- it’s an orientation describing people who don’t really want sex often, but they do feel sexual attraction or sexual desire. It’s basically for those who don’t fit directly under the sexual or asexual umbrella.
There is also: demisexual, acespike, aceflux, recipsexual, cupiosexual, quoisexual, abrosexual, autochorisexual, fraysexual, akoisexual, placiosexual, and plenty others!!
Do a little searching on the web if you see terms that you don’t understand.
And, if you can’t find one that fits you it’s fine! You don’t need a label.

Decent video, but there's way more sexual orientations that should have been brought up, such as pan, omni, ace (and others on the asexual spectrum like gray-ace, demi, akoi, etc), and more. Also, I think that romantic orientations and the fact they can be different from someone's sexual orientation should have had a mention. And the fact you only brought up homosexuality, heterosexuality, and bisexuality makes me feel like while making this you didn't once think about people who identify as a non-binary gender.

It asks what your gender is and one of the options is transgender. That's not a gender. If a girl is transgender then there gender is male. If a boy is transgender then there gender is female

Pansexuality was made up so that bisexual people can feel better about themselves because they "love the person not the genitals". Good philosophy to live by, but only works in theory.

@@ramennoodle6302 Yeah, for me I believe that there are two genders: Female and Male. I'm a female, I'm attracted to other females there for I am lesbian. At first i was bi-sexual, then pansexual, but I realized that I always preferred one gender, and not all genders. For me bisexuality is just experimenting on what gender you like better. I believe pansexuality is just another way of saying bisexuality, which is you experimenting to find your "type." I may be wrong though, for this is just my personal opinion.

I watched these and then we watched some of these in sex ed
One thing that caught me off guard in this video was in the beginning the girl hesitated to say the word gay. (Or lesbian) you shouldn't be afraid to come out as any sexuality, but I do recommend thinking about how the people around you will react. I myself grew up in an incredible family that was really accepting, but if you have doubts about your safety if you wanted to come out, don't do it yet. Make sure you are in a stable place financially first, and then try it out.

Sexual orientation is all about who you’re romantically and sexually attracted to. Some people are attracted to those of a different gender (heterosexual), and some are attracted to those of the same gender (gay or lesbian). Some are attracted people of either the same or a different gender (bisexual), and some people do not experience sexual attraction (asexual), though they may be interested in a romantic relationship. It’s totally normal to have questions about sexual orientation and have an interest in dating people with different gender identities, so it’s okay if you’re wondering about who you are and feel attracted to! Some people know their sexual orientation at a very young age and others don’t know until they are much older.

I'm a lesbian and even if I am sure of my sexual orientation it can still bring doubts. I know I like girls and I've never felt an ounce of anything romantic past friendship towards guys but due to society and stereotypes I don't conform to I sometimes question it.
Just want to let everyone know that that's a normal thing to do and don't feel discouraged, who you are is fantastic and normal. You don't have to conform to stereotypes. Also don't forget there are so many sexualities, you may not be gay or bi. There is pansexual, polysexual and so many other attractions, just do a little research and ask questions to people who are experienced in the area.

Unfortunately, they don't educate us about homosexuality and different orientations nor how to stay safe when practicing same sex at school (bless my year 10 health teacher for going above and beyond and teaching us anyway along with correcting the questions in our text books regarding topics that could apply to homosexuals. Melody McDaniel Bi is a prefix for “two.” Which means you are attracted to two genders. Pansexual means you are attracted to all, not what’s in their pants but you like them for their personality

@gotobed I made this comment a year ago LMAO. But they are the same because bisexuality has always included attraction to trans and non-binary individuals. The phrase "hearts before parts" was originally a bisexual thing. Don't try to tell me "but bi means two!1!" because words can change from their original etymology and definition, as pansexuals should know well considering pansexual was first coined to mean a literal attraction to everything - including children, the dead, animals, etc.

This information is still valid and useful for people living in more conservative contexts. For those contexts, bisexuality is still very progressive.
