My team draft is exactly the same for the exact same reasons. I 100% agree with every single thing you said in this video about the girls, coaches, and selection committee. - I never saw it for Leane, even when she seemed to have had the popular vote among fans all quad. She was always mediocre at best and lacking the difficulty, in my opinion. - I never saw it for Joscelyn with that poor form. Maybe she'll be ready by 2028. -Sky has a ton of potential on beam and bars, but it ain't happening for mama. -Kayla was a very consistent mediocre all-arounder. -Trinity is just gorgeous to watch. I love her gymnastics, but those D scores are just not competitive for elite. Im not trying to be harsh. I love those girls. They'd obviously outshine most of the girls in other countries. I'm just elaborating on what's in front of us for USA. I dont see this lineup flipping one bit after nationals or Olympic trials. I think that the final slide you left with us is the US Olympic team.
Leanne to me is an upgraded version of Kayla. Joscelyn needs a lot of work on her form and should never do an Onodi again. Love Skye, but the consistency is just no there. Trinity literally has everything, but difficulty. 😭 I don’t think you are harsh, you are merely being realistic based on what is being presented. It is much appreciated. Welcome! ☺️
Man, i can't get behind Skye being on any team currently, even as an alternate. I think 2028 if she comes back to elite would be fantastic for her. I just don't think she can be relied upon in a clutch situation if someone gets injured at the Olympics. I think she would crumble under the pressure and take even more falls than usual. I think in an alternate spot we need consistency above scoring potential. Scoring potential doesn't matter if you can't land your skills. Kaliya has limited experience internationally so that would be a concern. And she's really only good on one event. I think the team is right, the alternates in my mind would still be leeann and Kayla.
