These ladies are in my next tier of competitors who have a chance of making the Olympic Team. Can 1 or more of them find there way onto the team?

    Nice analysis!
Jordan has an attempted 6D on bars. If she doesn't absorb those medium deductions like the turn handstand then the extra kip, the domestic judges were about to give her 14.5 on bars. But like you said, going by what they showed.
But I just don't know why she does 6C+ acro elements on beam. The mount is ok. Side somi / side aerial can pick one.

@@gymjam2024 I TOTALLY agree with you when it comes to the lack of standards for the team. It appears that in a quest to distance themselves from the way that Martha in particular did things they have gone to the other extreme and as such have forsaken the GOOD methods that she employed in order to come up with the most formidable team. As a result, we have people vying for a spot on the team who don't have at least an Amanar on vault nor a 6. difficulty on floor, two apparatuses on which the US in years passed, would far outscore every other team.

Skye is a huge mistake. I think a lower start value with high consistency is more valuable than high start value and a hit rate below 50%. Skye is a wildcard. You don't know what she's going to do when she gets up there. Considering she failed at two worlds, and Olympic pressure is much higher, my bet is that she's going to be falling, meaning the US will have to count lower scores anyway. Out of all of these i think Jordan is the only good choice, unfortunately. I would love for it to be leeann, but i wouldn't take her for the same reason i wouldn't take Trinity. Both beautiful gymnasts, both severely lack difficulty.

@@duranca That is so true. Russia beam all collapsed in 2015 and ROC fell twice on beam in 2021.
But Skye can be put last if she’s picked (very low possibility but it could). Jade-Jordan-Skye beam score is only 0.2 behind Leanne-Shi-Simone beam score in TF, because beam is beaming.
Skye needs to at least hit all bars and beam at national and trials.

If Marta were still in charge, all top US candidates would have been invited to all the camps. She would have been speaking to their coaches. Leanne only had 7 counting elements on floor. She did Popa and split jump 1/1 (both are equal in the code) so she counted 1 C instead of 2 C. If she did another C dance, her D score is 5.6. (I know going by what they showed. I think Leanne will change next week. )

Kayla is a world bronze medalist- so to say her scores wouldn’t hold up internationally is just plain dumb. She has already won the bronze medal at Worlds in Japan in 2021! She also gold in the all around at the pan games in Santiago last year.

I like Kayla, but that was 2021 - three years ago. Also she was bronze medalist because none of the 5 actual Olympians (Simone, Suni, Jordan, Jade, Grace M.) were there to compete since they opted out of Worlds to go on the GOAT tour. What matters is how and what Kayla does "now". She is talented and certainly capable, but will need to show the selection committee during Nationals and Olympic trials.

However, she is vying for a spot with others who have also competed internationally and also score higher than she does, namely, Simone, Shilese, Jordan, Jade. She needs to try to at least get up to that 5th spot to be considered for the team. Maybe she'll be at her best at Nationals/Trials and grab one of the top spots, but that remains to be seen. That's what I meant by "she will need to show the selection committee during Nationals and Olympic trials." I really hope she does well, she seems committed and was smart to leave NCAA for the year to focus on elite.
