My team and team final line up as of now VT: Skye, Jade, Simone UB: Skye (mainly to rest Simone), Suni?? (Needs to upgrade), Shilese BB: Shilese ,Suni , Simone FX: Shilese, Jade, Simone
I really like this construction as I feel that resting Shilese (Vault) and Simone (Bars) are their "worst" events is the way to go so they don't get worn out.
Still not sold on Skye, but those looks extremely solid to me. If she's as good at trials as she was at championships, I would cosign on this lineup all day.
You know I'm like the biggest Jade stan in the world, but my girl really does need to bring ALL her difficulty. I have every faith in her, she always comes in clutch when she has to. I get why she didn't bring upgrades to championships. She doesn't need them yet. She still finished 7th with a fall and barely above college difficulty. I wouldn't show everything i got that early either. They need that peak to last THROUGH the Olympics, not burn out right before it counts. I think her pacing is perfect and she's going to show tf out at trials (god i hope so).
Jade has to. A FIG brevet judge deducted Jade only 1.7 (without artistry deduction) with one big step on day 1. Her leaps are only .1 deduction each, so dance elements are no longer her weakness. Domestic judges really crushed her by maximum artistry deduction.🤡 Meanwhile, the judge deducted nearly A FULL POINT off from Kayla's beam score (7.3E maximum, not 8.1E BS)🥴
my predictions team final vault: skye, simone, jade bars: skye, shi, suni (if she upgrades) beam: suni, simone, skye floor: jade, simone, shi Finals/ medal contention vault: simone, skye (i think she will beat out jade cause of her form) bars: shi, suni? if suni upgrades to full strength she will out score simone for sure floor: simone, jade AA: simone, shi, skye I think if shi upgrades her bars simone and shi could take first and second
Skye's Cheng can land her a spot. Jade can do a Silivas and Popa for 6.3D, or Silivas and full in for 6.2D. Right now she's still f-ing around and count an A...😂
Jade has no choice but come full on as Skye has completely jumped ahead of her. Jade needs those FX plus her Amanar to get on the team imo. The Amanar makes her a medal contender. Without it…..kinda of dicey.
It's still very much wide open for 3 spots between Skye, Jade, Suni, Jordan & Kayla in my opinion. But great strides from Skye and she would be a lock if they had to chose now but I expect everyone apart from Kayla to respond big time with upgrades at Trials. Congrats to Skye who truly lit a fire on the selection process with that Cheng! The only clear thing is we have our 7 girls on the Team/Alternates
Assuming Jade updrades to Amanar vault, she can edge Sky out for VT finals and she'd bring most scoring potential to team Vault and Floor, assuming she going to upgrades floor to about 6.4 or 6.5. What makes most sense to me is: Vault- Jade, Sky, Simone Bars- Simone, Suni, Shilese Beam- Sky, Simone, Suni Floor- Jade, Shilese, Simone ALT 1 Jordan because she is a solid all around for backup w/ Olympic experience. ALT 2 Kayla- also solid all around, still competitive on all apparatus.
The only thing I’m concerned with on Skye is that is the first time she’s done the Cheng on a competition service. She’s landed it twice. She also showed a ton of nerves on beam on Day 2…if this is how she handles pressure domestically its not good internationally
Showing nerves is to be expected as well as falls. Trying to get on the US National team never mind one for the Olympics is nerve wracking. She did well for herself.
Unpopular opinion: I think Jade is going to b0mb at trials. It would help the team if she's at full difficulty, but I don't think it's going to happen.
@@gymjam2024 realistically I think these are the names that will ultimately make up the team based on the data and consistency. Could names be swapped? Yes.
@@HazelAmarie one of the considerations the selection committee can use is performance in recent international events. If they do, Skye has fallen at the last two worlds on her specialty event- once in qualification and one in event finals. Skye has failed to come home with an individual medal. When Jade was on the team she came home with medals on Vault and Floor. Jordan has also come home with individual event medals on Vault and Floor in this quad at Worlds.

Smart not putting Skye on beam.
From the time Skye threw that Cheng this has been my team for Paris with the same order with respect to the apparatuses. This makes complete sense.
@@omglauraelizabeth ya I agree this is just as of now. If she flops at trails I would not even risk taking her cause of her past inconsistency

Her dad/coach is doing a great job with the pacing.

AA: Simone, Shi, Skye
VT, FX: Jade
Bars, BB: Suni
I think this is most likely correct

team final

skye, simone, jade

skye, shi, suni (if she upgrades)
beam:
suni, simone, skye
floor:
jade, simone, shi
Finals/ medal contention
vault:
simone, skye (i think she will beat out jade cause of her form)
bars:
shi, suni? if suni upgrades to full strength she will out score simone for sure

simone, jade

Agreed

@@gymjam2024 maybe I’ll be wrong. If I am it’ll be great for the team.
This is my team:
Simone Biles
Shilese Jones
Jade Carey
Sunisa Lee
Kayla/Jordan
Alternates:
Skye Blakely
Leanne Wong
Jordan Chiles/Kayla DiCello
It’s really like splitting hairs at this point.
