Normally I have never been a fan of aftermarket straps or clasps but this combo is fantastic. Both the Crafter Blue strap and Strapcode clasp are of the highest quality and look fantastic. The only problem with the MM300 bracelet is that the OEM buckle is too thick & heavy and this combo solves that problem perfectly. Well done!
I love the machining on the folding clasp part of the clasp. A big clasp helps to balance this watch out nicely because the case is so heavy. I have a strapcode hexad with a similar clasp on mine currently. The finishing is not as nice on the aftermarket bracelets though so I feel like it looks better on a strap like this or the original bracelet. It’s a really nice watch. I hear people say that the marine master is not as nice as swiss luxury and I totally disagree. The crown and bezel action on this watch is just as good as any omega i have ever handled.
The MM300 is manufactured 100% in house with machined parts using MEMS technology with tight tolerances and superior accuracy. It is bulletproof and built like a tank. It is definitely superior than a Swiss diver. Thanks for stopping by.
Holy Toledo. This is exactly I was looking for. Very good and informative Video. The Crafter Blue strap in black or orange and Strapcode clasp is of highest quality and looks fantastic. I like it very much. I would like to use this exact compo strap and clasp on my MM300 and also on my other Divers, such on my new MM200 reduced. Will it fit on the new mm200? It looks like the endlings on the rubber strap will only fit on the MM300 Case? Is there also a more universe rubber strap available? Please, keep up the good work!
I have this same watch as you. I find it a little top heavy on certain straps. Especially on natos. Not a good fit. I did order this crafter blue rubber strap and I'm glad I saw your video. Very informative. One quick off topic question. Is there any way to polish out a scuff from the diashield coating. I scuffed mine up. Just wondering. Thanks
Hi there and I am glad that you liked the video. The watch is indeed top heavy but since it is a Seiko we can forgive it :). Now regarding the scuff, if I were you I would not try to polish it because it would leave some spots or stains due to the fact that the steel below the diashield is of lower hardness. If you cannot leave with that then you need to take out the diashield from the entire case.
@@inspector1973 thank you for fast reply! I have the same watch and strap coming. I am thinking about ordering the clasp too. Really like how the ratcheting clasp looks but it does seem a bit longish. Is it comfortable? Does it dig in to your wrist anywhere?
@@LooptroopRocker This is a high quality over-engineered purpose built clasp. However it wears comfortable and it does not dig into my wrist. It is a long clasp but if you make sure that is the centre of your wrist then it looks nice. A word of advice, when you adjust the crafter blue strap it would be wise to cut one piece at a time, test it on your wrist, then cut an additional piece until you have the perfect fit. Let me know your thoughts when you fit it.
@@inspector1973 so the Crafter blue is here and my first impression is very nice! Perfect match in my opinion. Will think about the strapcode clasp but for now OEM Seiko clasp feels pretty good! Maybe a tad stiff but I guess it will break in with time a little. Happy with my purchase!
@@inspector1973 oh and sorry one more question. So I read that you wear originally using the Seiko clasp with the crafter blue strap. Did you have to cut off more of the crafter blue strap when you attached the strapcode ratcheting clasp or did the length work fine for use with both original Seiko clasp and strapcode clasp? I haven’t really touched my crafter blue band thinking it may not fit right with the strapcode if I adjusted it to the Seiko clasp already.
@@djps312 Unfortunately if you put the strapcode clasp you need to cut the strap more. After you will not be able to switch back to your original Seiko clasp.

that looks great, maybe a different clasp but that strap combo is cool
Yes it is and it does the job!

The end links on the rubber strap will only fit the MM300 case.
I think strapcode does not make this for the reduced MM200.
Thanks this is exactly what i was looking for. Its going on a seiko tuna marinemaster with a super engineer bracelet
Glad to know that you found what you were looking for.

I have this but I've used the sinn rubber strap. but that takes a 20mm clasp.
After using it for a while I switched back to the original bracelet. I guess it is a matter of taste.
@@inspector1973 it is! I love it on the rubber, tried the hexad strapcode and the og bracelet but feels much better on the rubber
That’s a long clasp... just ordered a bracelet with one for my Alpinist. Hope it’s not too beefy. I have a 7.25” wrist but on the rounder side.
It is long and beefy due to the extension. You will either love or hate it.
@@inspector1973 thanks for the quick reply.
Thank you for sharing this. It's exactly what I was looking for. How big is your wrist if you don't mind me asking?
I am glad you liked the combination. My wrist size is a little bit over 7 inches in circumference.

I use this strap but got another ratcheting MM300 clasp.
@bluesdog645 Yeah, it is probably better!
Very nice combination where I can order the clasp?

Imagen white rubber on the blue mm. Can you give me the link for the straps?

Hello, great strap! It is compatible with the seiko tuna?
No, this one fits only the Marinemaster.
@@inspector1973 Okey, thank you anyway
What's the model number for the Seiko 5KX?
Not really sure, but if you check in strapcode.com it should be there.
Just ordered this. Did the clasp come with the spring bars to attach the clasp to the crafter blue band itself? Thanks!
Spring bars included.

is it sbdx017? what size is the lug? 20/22mm? i'm planning to order one too
The lug width on both the SBDX017 and SBDX023 is 20mm.
Thankyou sir appreciate that!

Unfortunately no. This is for the 300 only.
Where do I get it?

That kind of clasp feels and looks very cheap. Very bad taste on an MM300.
I found out after a while so now its back on the original.
