That is easily the best looking strap for a MM 300 Gethin. I remember reading about it when i was interested in the previous MM 300s. If i remember correctly, you can place then in a cup so they are curved and fill it with boiling water to shape them. This combo looks simply lovely!
I 've had 'a dozen MM300s' (I'm a Seiko Off Dealer myself ) currently wearing the SLA023 as a daily(for months now) with that particular strap shown in the video. BUT...I've just switched (back) to the oem soft strap. And that one is way more comfy imho..... Thanks for the video . Cheers Robin
Weed smoking American twerp here. I have a 017 and I prefer both the oem bracelet and oem rubber strap like the one you have here. Dude you definitely have to do the coffee cup trick it makes the strap insanely curved and so easy to wear I love it
Perhaps the old boiling water in a mug trick would give it some curvature, but yeah it's hard to go back to those stiffer rubber straps now. Mastersintime is another good one for oem Seiko straps!
I have a Marinemaster tuna video coming next week. sbbn045j. Tonight I will be uploading a 12 watch Seiko diver only state of the collection video. I hope you will watch.
I normally don't like watches without crown guards, but the more and more I look at the marine master, the more I'm prepared to lift my crown guard requirement. 😂
@@gethinchristian I know. But I've had a few watches that had the crown at 3 o'clock that I totally bent the stem or outright ripped the stem and crown out of the watch because the crown got caught on my gear. Granted, all those watches were push pull crowns. Crown guards have been a requirement for me because I wreck shit. 😀
Weed smoking Dutch twerps had me rolling 😂😂😂😂. Love it!
These Dutch twerps know a thing or two about Seiko.

It's a fantastic looking strap. Definitely looks the business! I've been wearing it non stop and it has become more comfortable now.

The old boling water trick? Yes I should do that. I haven't used that strap for a long time! Thanks bwcastillo!

We can try that Mike.
Great video as always. That SLA looks huge! Looks good on the new strap too
It's a great strap, bit stiff but looks good.
This and the Tuna (300) are Seiko's finest IMO

Just discovered your channel, really appreciated your review 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it Abdul.
I like the strap, it adds a certain rugged utilitarian quality to it.
017 strap is rugged. Rugged by definition. Thanks Lee.
Great combo bro! Absolutely utilitarian.
Looks cool right? Not very comfortable though.
@@gethinchristian Our hefty wrists can live with it.
@@inspector1973 Only beefed JDM wrists can handle it bro.

Crown guards not necessary bro!

I had this same strap but I found it too stiff (uncomfortable feeling to my low fat wrist) and too narrow looking as it tapers. So I sold it.
It is a cool looking strap but it is stiff and uncomfortable you are right Tom. I love how it looks but I rarely wear it because of that.
Ditch the metal keeper and its ready for the beeeech! Cheers
Consider it done my main man. For the beeeeech!
Great looking strap, but it really doesn't look too comfy.
@@giangvu7902 It is not comfy at all.
@@gethinchristian but at least it looks good!
@@giangvu7902 It is a shame. I don't really use it because it is not comfortable.
