I have the SLA021J1 as well as the the SLA023. I have yet to wear the sla023. I kept the original bracelet for the quick adjust system. It is a great watch and the sla021 is my most worn watch in a collection of 30+. Great review and I recommend this watch to any watch enthusiast.
Really enjoyed the talking head style into and the comparison to the Tudor GMT, puts it into perspective. Overall great specs and improvements from other Seikos, but you're right at the MSRP.
This one Seiko I’ve yet to own but I hope I do one day . This for me is my grail of grail watches . I love the look of the Hexad bracelet on your Marine Master and think I’d go with that combo as well or maybe a Strapcode angus jubilee bracelet. Thanks for sharing and a awesome review on a outstanding Seiko diver .
The MM is a great watch, I almost got one but instead I went with Citizen. Great QC every thing is spot on…they have so so many great watches at reasonable prices. I’m a Seiko guy at heart but seriously Citizen has so much variety and most real divers use their watches, so why not.
So yesterday I bought the Green dial Limited edition 140th anniversary MM300. I noticed that some have the brushed silver window around the date and mine doesn’t. Why is that? Also, how many watches did Seiko make for the 140th anniversary LE? I have # 000750. 🤔🧐
The newer ones follow the latest ISO dive watch specs which state that there must be lumed indices at every hour marker. Seiko had to drop the framed date window in order to squeeze in the small lume pip.
Big fan of the MM300. Especially on the "hex-head style" bracelet. Honestly, I don't dislike the stock MM300 bracelet, but I just feel that, due to the issues that you stated w/ the thickness, and articulation, I find it to be rather inadequate. I find this to also be the case w/ the Samurai, as well. Not to mention, the fantastic light play, that the hex-head bracelet provides. Worth the upgrade in both cases, if you ask me. Great review
I got one at last . My AD failed to notify me that he had one . I found in in the hands of a customer that didnt buy it . I noticed the case profile and felt excitement and disappointment at the same time . Excitement that I might at last get one , disappointment that that customer might like it and buy it ,plus the fact that the AD forgot to notify me when he received it .
Question: when you manually wind this watch, is it quite noisy? Mine is, and that was rather surprising to me. I assumed it'd be more like an Omega Seamaster or that Tudor you showed (rather quiet and smooth in winding).
For this model of GS Spring Drive, it's normal to be a bit noisy when manual winding the crown, so don't worry. The newer Spring Drive models, like the 9RA2, are much smoother.
It's a strap mill Canada vulcanized rubber strap. You can also find a similar one on Ali Express if you don't mind waiting a while for shipping. Cheers
Could you post where to find a Hexad bracelet replacement to the Seiko braclet that all 99% of ppl you know buy? This is for SLA021J or SBDX023 please?
It's a sacrilege to replace the OG bracelet by a Strapcode. Strapcode is out of place on a watch of this quality. The edges are sharp, the clasp is mediocre and the color does not match Seiko's Diashield. It's cool on a SKX or a Turtle but the MM300 deserve the real thing.
@@mkyhou1160 Yes they do wear smaller than the dimensions and I have tried them on at the GS boutique. Although I can get away with the size it's not my preference. When you've spending this sort of money, it needs to be near perfect.
6.5"in wrist here and owner of a SLA021... you'd be surprised of how the design of the case and the zaratsu polishing make the actual dimensions neglectable.
Seiko makes them fit for purpose which is for diving. The marinemaster is this size for divers to be able to use while diving. Not just as a fashion piece.

I have the SLA059 and love it on the rubber strap. Wears much smaller than the specs. Looking forward to acquiring more MM300s.
Just recently acquired the SLA047J1 MM300 . Couldn’t be happier. This watch is in a class by itself 😊👍🏻
Such a beautiful watch! Love the look of it on the strap too. And that lume is otherworldly good!
Sla023 is my favourite Seiko diver as well. I keep mine often on the wrist.
Good stuff!

Thanks for your insight into owning this watch!
Another great review of one of my favorite watches. I love my MarineMaster. Thanks, Toran!
Thanks for watching Chaz :)
I don't understand why they removed the marinemaster text. Still prefer the older model
ㄹㅇ 동의함ㅋㅋ 저 빌어먹을 'x' 문자도 빼줘야함...
The mm300 is a great watch I have the sbdx017 and the sla023, both fight over wrist time. Great video btw.

Thanks for the feedback bro 👍

I am one of the few who actually like that bracelet. .. have on a sbbn031.
For me
hi Sir. The Tudor GMT is 41mm not 42mm. Great review! I love comparison to the Tudor to show the actual size of this MM Seiko.
Great review Toran! Love the opening!
Very much appreciated!
The added lumed marker by the date is required by the new standard to qualify as a driver's watch.
No, just the pip lume is required.
💯 it makes it ISO compliant ;)
It's a fantastic watch. Wearing mine today.
Awesome!
Bought a pre loved boxed papers minty one for £1,500. Love it.
This is my Grail
I like the one I have, just the clasp underneath as quit large, put on the rubber strap for time being,no doubt put on a zulu nato, much more secure.
I got the latest generation of sla023 two weeks ago, and i really love it! (My list of rotation sla023, spb167J1 and SSK001)
wearing my 001 OG today.👍
That looks really good on the wrist great review
Many thanks!

If you are still here , does it wears smaller than BB41 ?
I would say that this MM300 wears slightly smaller than the BB41, due to the case shape and narrow lugs. Cheers

Really love the Hexad bracelet. Just checked the dimensions. I bought the SPB383. Just checking whether this Hexad bracelet would fit on it.

Hello everyone. Is this the best dive watch for that price. Can I get a better one for the same price? Thanks.
What is the bracelet you got? How much?
Did you have microphones on your boots while you're wearing this holy crap
Is that a tissot red silicon strap on tudor
No, the red strap is a 22mm FKM rubber that is readily available on Ali Express. Cheers
I have one and it's great, my fav watch, but even on it, the dial and chapter ring are not perfectly aligned.
Which Strapcode Hexad band is that ? I found a few of them online. Is that 316L stainless ?
Is the colour of the strapcode and the watch any different? I found with the diashield watch colour comes a bit darker.
I found the StrapCode bracelet to be very similar in color to the MM300. Cheers
It's like comparing the death star and X wing fighter,MM is a grail watch for so manny people!!

did you move this on or do you still have it and wear it
I moved it on sadly. Just too many divers in the collection right now 😜
What's the daily accuracy of the watch?can the marinemaster fit in small size wrist??
Over the last 10 days mine is averaging +1.7 seconds a day.
Mine is +11s
Hi may I ask what rubber strap you're using in the video?
It's a strap mill Canada vulcanized rubber strap. You can also find a similar one on Ali Express if you don't mind waiting a while for shipping. Cheers

It's the same bracelet that will fit this mm300 if I am not mistaken
Diameter pls! Ty
If both bb gmt and mm300 are on rubber strap. What are their weight? Is mm300 very much heavier ?
The MM300 will weight slightly more than the BB GMT on a rubber straps, but both wear much more comfortably that way :)
@@EverydayWatchGuy thanks! I bought this recently and love it!
Is this thing available? I have a smp chrome dial I’m looking to trade. I think I’m local to u as well
Sorry, it's no longer in my collection
@@EverydayWatchGuy do u happen to have a Pelagos LHD available?
@@AK-of9qx I got the FXD Pelagos currently
This blue mm300 has always been on the short list. But I think I prefer the previous version
Does it come with bear spray 🤣 nice watch buddy 👍

Bro, your music has some Chinese tone. Your SEIKO watch is awesome and one of my dream watch, but expensive.
Cost right now is $3,200. Is this watch worth the price?
You can likely get a bit of a discount or find one on the used market for well under $3k. It's well worth it at that price

It's so frustrating that seiko and Grand seiko make some amazing divers but virtually none of them are sized to suit wrists under 7 inches 😢
You need to try them on, they wear much smaller than the size suggests.

True but 99% of people don't dive with them.
The only thing I don’t like is you spend $3000 on watch and they use pins and collars.
Way more secure than screws. Patek use pins and collars too.
