Loved this one! My rotator cuff has been bothering me this helped open up my shoulders! Love your dog! I have four of them as you can see in my picture, I have to lock them out of my room as whenever I get on my mat they want to join in! Thank you! Namaste🙏
I used to be a yoga teacher. Now I am 70 and with lots of health issues. Your classes have been like a saviour to me, and this challenge came at the perfect time due to recent problems with upper body. As I am French I always do the French version too. I have been daily yoga for 15 months with another online instructor, and off and on before that. I had actually developed shoulder problems from straining to do some of the poses in the last 6 months, and had been getting PT which helped, but doing this class and another of your upper body classes has already removed a great deal of pain. I will be 70 this summer, so I am not as flexible as I was when doing yoga in my 20s. Thank you for posting these and helping me!
My 15 month old lol girl went nuts for your dog and played around doing her own poses and babbling to the dog! Super fun and good shoulder opening. I love your 10 min videos as I can’t handle too much more while I’m rehabbing from injuries.

I’m only 23 and in constant discomfort from myofascial pain, thank you so much for this!!!! I’ve gone back to the gym but even with much more strength I’m in a similar amount of discomfort, these videos are a god send for me!!! Not too hard nor too easy even mentioning slight variations to ease discomfort during them, I truly feel like this time I will stick with yoga knowing now it doesn’t need to be another workout! Can’t thank you enough for showing me the way :D

I've been feeling a lot of upper spine and shoulder blade burning and tingling sensations for about 2 weeks now and I finally realized that maybe yoga would help. I'm 60 and I used to dance and was fit but haven't made it a priority in the past 13 years. It's been so uncomfortable, but these exercises seem to be helping and this is only my second day doing them. Thank you!!! I'm very grateful. If you know of anything specific that could help this pain that seems to be nerve pain, please let me know. Thanks again for these great videos. I'll become a regular.

I tried this practice because my neck and shoulders have been very stiff the last several days. These poses brought some lubrication and mobility to those spots and much needed relief. I will be returning to this one again. Thank you!
While I enjoy and need these 10 minute videos (I love that they focus on specific areas of the body), I’ve also been enjoying the yin yoga videos that you do. I have fibro, and sometimes hanging out in a pose is what my body needs. My upper back is particularly tight no matter what I do. I was wondering if you have a yin yoga video planned for the upper back-so upper thoracic spine, shoulders, neck. That would be wonderful. Thank you for all that you do.

I especially gained self-awareness about my body doing the movement opening and closing hands rapidly, and also moving with arms above head from a side seat bent knee. Those were challenging movements and something I need to be doing more! Enjoy your day!

I enjoy watching your pup and had my Tobee join me on the mat during the lunges. I could not figure out how to do the side to side manuoever that followed at all. Would you please explain how to raise up like that with your arms in the air?
Enjoyed most of it ;) In child's pose, I couldn't lift my hand off the mat without lifting my head. Maybe it will get better with time (my shoulders have a lot of issues, had arthritis in one of them for nearly 25 years (since mid 20s)). The other move I couldn't do was the hip movement from side to side with arms above head (~8 mins). Had to use my hands to push myself up. Is that a core strengthening issue?
Great job Katrina, those are tricky ones! Core could indeed play a part in it, as could hip flexors or glutes. Great one to come back to! I’m the same. I think my shoulders are a lot tighter than I would have guess. My massage therapist is encouraging lots of chest openers which encourage moment in the shoulders.
@@YogawithJoelle I'd forgotten about this video. Have added it to my frequent yoga list. Still problems with those 2 poses. In terms of the second one, if I just rest my backside partly onto the heels (but to whichever side) rather than down onto the floor I can manage to get myself back up. So I think I may do that until I can do the other.
@@YogawithJoelle I seem to rediscover this one every 3 months ;) In child's pose, still can't lift hands off the mat. However I managed to lift my palm off the mat along with my arm and just have the fingertips on the mat. Don't know if that's progress? And finally worked out why I find eagle arms so difficult. I can't do cactus arms, or put my full arms & back of the hands on the floor above my head if lying down. Eagle arms seems to need similar mobility.

Great job completing the challenge Millie! As to arthritis, that's not really the intention here, so you'd be better off checking with your doctor, but you can also ask yourself how they felt to you - did it feel good, or did any stretches or moves stand out to you? That can be a good way to understand sometimes what our body needs ;-) Looking forward to meeting on the mat again soon!

@@YogawithJoelle I have been told by my physical therapist that the problem I have is with my Infraspinatus and rotator cuff on my right side, if you could do a video on releaving tension in that muscle I'd greatly appreciate it!

Absolutely Kay! Sitting on the bed is a great modification, good on you for finding a way that works best for you in your body 😃

Great job completing the challenge Millie! As to arthritis, that's not really the intention here, so you'd be better off checking with your doctor, but you can also ask yourself how they felt to you - did it feel good, or did any stretches or moves stand out to you? That can be a good way to understand sometimes what our body needs ;-) Looking forward to meeting on the mat again soon!

@@YogawithJoelle I have been told by my physical therapist that the problem I have is with my Infraspinatus and rotator cuff on my right side, if you could do a video on releaving tension in that muscle I'd greatly appreciate it!
