  • The Brooklyn Nets' stunning hire of Steve Nash catapulted the Hall-of-Famer back into the NBA spotlight for the first time in years. Which got us thinking about the legendary career Nash put together on the court way before "coach Nash" became one of the most surprising phrases of 2020. So how did the South African-born, Canadian-raised kid become one of the best point guards in basketball history?

Even as a Kobe and Lakers fan, Steve Nash is my all-time favorite point guard. My heart hurts when his Lakers term didn’t pan out, not to mention the bogus suspensions in 2007 that essentially robbed him of his title. Hopeful he can me things work in Brooklyn

FIBA games in Manila 2016, I was waiting for Tony Parker to sign my Spurs cap and photos. I approached him respectfully but got denied 2x with his manager stopping me on the 2nd try. I was dissapointed as a Spurs fan. After that, I saw Steve Nash, Canadian team consultant and asked for a photo. He obliged with no hesitations at all and got to have a photo 2x because the first one was blurred lol. I was a fan of him since the 2009-2010 season vs the Lakers and was rooting for them to win the series. Very approachable guy. Good luck Coach Nash 🙏🙌

I remember, when Steve Nash play with The Phoenix Suns. It would be the only game I want to watch , because of
the way he play the game. Superv ball handling ang passing, to his team mates, he make all his team mate great.
He has very good shooting, ,good control of the ball and so smart, that you think , that you don't always need to be tall and strong
    to play the game.

Kyrie Irving is crazy and selfish, James Harden is only concerned with stat padding a phantom fouls, he never going to get a ring with his holy ghost flops, and Kevin Durant is ready to run off to a winning team to ring chase. As a kid from Newfoundland where the love for Raptors, Celtics & Lakers runs deep, I became a SUNS fan in 1996. The ‘03-‘10 Suns were my favourite team of all time, and even though I was a HUGE Kobe fan, Nash’s should have won at LEAST 1 championship in that time. Thank you Mark Cuban, and FUCK the Spurs. We should have won at least 1 ring ☀️

Bird finished season 50-40-90 twice is a 3x MVP/Champ/All Defense 2nd Team/ 3P Contest Champ. Yes x3 for all. And also dealt with severe back pain.
