Thanks for uploading the story of Carmelo Anthony. i personally requested this story because Melo doesn’t get enough respect that he deserves. Truly a LEGEND
Melon doesn’t get respect because he was always so focused on his own best interests even if it handcuffed his teams from ever being able to acquire depth of a roster to surround him and have a chance at contending for something. He will always be seen as what he was for basically his entire prime: A strong scorer who didn’t play defense, solely looked out for his own self interest at every stage and didn’t care if the focus on what was best for him like having strong individual stars or making the most money he could resulted in his team not winning or contending for anything. In his years as the #1 player on his team he made it past the first round two times ever and in New York he pumped out a ton of stats but the team was bad for most of the seasons he was there. Nothing is truly a better example than how he forced the trade to the Knicks, and gutted their roster and their assets to have a strong roster or acquire other talented players to their team, when there was genuinely no need to do so. It was well known they both sides wanted the other and he could simply sign with the team that offseason and join a competent roster but because he was worried about the impending CBA and wanted to make sure he got his money he forced the trade and depleted everything the Knicks had that could have led to a competitive team. Then when free agency came around and the team needed some cap space to assemble a roster that would be a winning team he stayed and took the maximum he could and basically made it impossible to build anything. And the years on the new deal the team was absolutely terrible but as usual he had strong stats. He never sacrificed a thing for his team to be better until the end of his career when he didn’t have a choice if he wanted to keep playing. So while he was very good at scoring he will never get the praise of a lot of legends because he never won, focused on himself at all times, and openly showed how unimportant winning truly was to him by openly making choices that prevented his teams from ever doing so. And that’s just not what fans have ever praised as the traits that we see as legendary even if the player himself was really good.

When Rose and Butler was there he could have signed there but chose the money with NYK.
@@futureDreamer4 he would have taken a tremendous paycut for him to do so I remember. You telling me you would go to another job because your coworkers are slightly better (stills has faults) and it's an easier job closer to your crib but pays less. Or stay at your current job and get your pay raise you earned ?. I hate when people try to.make this bulls argument if they would actually look it up that drose and Joakim Noah stayed hurt!!! That's when they declined badly. Plus the players they would of had to give up just to fit Melo in he was better off staying with NY and making his money cuz he Def wasn't going no where with that team. 2014-2016 look it up rose and Noah was not what they use to be
@@nilesmaxwell758 we have seen Melo on team USA that cared about winning over money and scoring. The year he could have went to Chicago Noah was healthy I believe
@@futureDreamer4 didn't I just say look it up for yourself? Your going off a guess which makes believe you have no idea what your talking about and going off of everybody else cuz this debate is getting old. Noah was not good 2014-2015 like I said him and rose were declined by then he played 67 games but only put up 7 points and 9 rebounds on 44.5 percent shooting which is horrible for a center so you cant even justify him being on the floor. The year after he only played 27 games... his jumpshot was also trash that why when him and rose came to NY the year after they didn't make the playoffs 🤦🏾♂️🗣.
He shoulda never wanted to leave Denver, I blame Lala
Please watch basketball examed on Melo the top people in charge of denver organization did not want him.
