For my playthrough after Blackguard was killed by DE and I picked up curse from his body but when i look at my inventory the game bugged out and I have one less curse for some reason.
I feel like the village of the albanurics, the stonesword key cave beneath the academy, and the cave you take to get to the gal with the wolf near the frenzied camp are all easily missable as well. It's also worth mentioning that you can't get above the village until a much later point in the game where a quest will send you up there.
When I faced the Death Rite Bird of this area, I discovered that it inflicted Frostbite, rather than Instant Death. Another minor note - while I have yet to fully advance the Blackguard's quest line, I discovered that buying boiled prawns from him grants another emote as he warms up to you.
If you leave him alive you can buy crab meat from him that reduces physical damage taken for a short amount of time. I think it negates physical damage by 20%.
The death birdies are VERY weak to holy damage. If you don't have any holy damage you can craft the holy water bomb from those cracked pots (also buyable) and if you can't make those yet, buy the cookbook from Kalé in the starter area church. Equip the holy hand grenades and Chuck them at the bird and it will take huge chunks of damage.
I have been very slow, deliberate and thorough exploring this incredible world (my first From game!) but even then I missed TWO of these dungeons and that flask-up! Have taken notes. Love this series and your commentary.
Use strike weapons for the Crystal and rock enemies e.g. maces and hammers, basically any blunt weapons deals 'strike' damage Also just south of the Fallen Ruins of the lake grace there is a hidden boss, you will come across a lobster, kill it and it is a mimic and turns into a Grafted Scion boss, killing it gives you a Larval Tear used to respec your character later on 🙂 And you shouldn't have killed the boiled prawn shack NPC, you need him alive to complete the Dung Eaters questline, now you have killed him you can't get one of the 'Seedcurse' key items for the Dung Eater, always best to NEVER kill NPCs
run along the cliff wall near the mausoleum and you can find a spirit spring (a.k.a. jump pad).use that to jump onto the mausoleum.you don't get fall damage if you fail.it's easier and safer that way.
The Crystalian boss is weak to striking attacks from weapons such as hammers. They seem to get through their initial armor easier and do significantly more damage. This benefit seems to go away once their armor is cracked, as it seems about the same as what you're doing with your katana in the video.
You definitely do NOT want to kill the NPC for Rya's necklace. His questline is involved with the Dung Eater's and leads to some great additional rewards down the line--not just the iron mask and ball weapon.
What rewards? You can get better crab meat but that is it. Dung Eater's questline moves on either way, you just lose out on the one spare seedbed curse you don't need.
This is a superb series, I would keep the quests to separate videos for two reasons: 1. More content for you! 2. The things you missed are great in an area by area and keeping it simple makes it easier to follow
You shouldn't have killed that guy, because he is part of a storyline later in the game. Plus a 1,000 runes isn't much at any part in the game. And if you leave him alive he will have a better meal then the one he was selling. It greatly raises physical damage negation. And its only 600 runes, great for boss fights and your mimic will also eat them raising his defense.

Interesting tip about the sorcery you get for completing Thops questline, the one deflects incoming sorcery spells. If you hold the button to cast this spell, it will repeat cast consuming fp each tick. The Interesting part is if you continue holding the button after your fp runs out you will continue casting the spell infinitely until you release the button. I had the meteor staff in my left hand and sword of st Trina in my right, tho I don't think that matters. Nothing major, just something I haven't seen anyone else talk about yet, so I thought I'd share with you. Thanks for your series, great vids, have a good one

You dont have to kill the "ogers" in the catacombs you can sneak past them all if you are cautious even when you drop down the stairs. This way it is much easier.
Normally I hate the clickbaity 'things you didn't know/things you missed' videos. I'm always like 'this ain't a secret everyone knows that' etc etc. And even though I did find most the things on your lists, I have to admit that your guides are still valuable for taking note of the more obscure sidequests and there's been at least one or two things that I didn't actually get already. I think the way you approach these tips without spoiling things or showing too much detail while still providing specific and helpful information is strangely unique therefore take my subscribe.

For the mausoleum, you don't need to kill those knights i'm pretty sure. I just went to the top of the cliff and waited and it walked over, albeit pretty slowly, but it did get there
These are by far, and I mean completely unparalleled, best guides for Elden Ring! They are detailed and thorough without spoilers! That is extremely difficult to achieve in these types of games! for the mausoleum you can go to the near by spirit spring and use that, for the crystalian use a blunt weapon to shatter it and from there you can just attack it with whatever weapon you have if by any chance you aggro any NPC theres a church in Liurnia with a turtle with a pope hat so you reset any hostile NPC to neutral
There’s a ball bearing hunter in that church, wait until night two-three times and the turtle won’t be there, instead the hunter will. There another one in Limgrave where you find a knight merchant that sells you ashes for your weapons, do the same thing again and he will spawn in a red mist.
You missed a whole questline involving the "Dung Eater" alternate ending, by killing prawn man. Just buy the necklace off him and do his quest line. Way more fun.

Can just batter it with any weapon regardless of how crap the damage is at first m and break its posture, once it's posture broken it loses that shell it has and is weak to everything
There are four ways to deal with the Crystalians : Charged heavy attacks till stance breaks, Jump heavy attacks till stance breaks, Strike weapons or Rock Sling.
The best way to break a rock is to hit it really hard with a hammer several times. This is true in Elden Ring as well, I'm a hammer user and my Great Stars greathammer brings stone enemies to their knees after a couple good hits.
A surprisingly easy way is to use Ash of War: Glintblade Phalanx. It inflicts insane posture damage. Two casts will cause a poise break, and then you can destroy them in any manner you see fit. In fact, most enemies suffer poise breaks in at most 2 casts, with a handful of really strong ones taking maybe 4. Note that the spell version doesn't inflict the same level of poise damage. You definitely want the Ash of War, even if you're playing a mage.
Add a 5th, and move it up all the way to the top: Flame of the Redmanes. 2 casts and you'll have those Crystalians on their knees. It's an ash of war. Look it up.
Once I heard that FF7 Crisis Core battle theme in the intro, I just immediately hit like Great video, dude, I kinda unlocked most of Liurnia and went here just in case I missed something like a really strong weapon, ash of war, or even some spells
just an FYI. wouldn't really recommend killing Blackguard/mask guy, buy the necklace instead and he will turn into a shop that will sell boiled prawns and later boiled crab just outside Lyndell city, these offer some great damage negation. He'll also offer some info on another charchter/secret in Lyndell. oh and the crytallion is vulnerable to strike damage.

The third grape for that girl is driving me insane. I've talked to the blind girl, given the note to her father, been back to her and back again to where she lies to speak to the father when he is grieving, he says he'll get those responsible. Then over to the shack and he just will not appear to invade me, morning, mid day or night. I'm totally at a loss with this damn grape. No idea.
Do you mean the Revenger's Shack? Touching the site of grace should summon him, if you rested at the grace site then left the area without killing him then he will not respawn and you have missed getting the grape
the Revenger invasion glitched out for me: he invaded me, and after I killed him, he invaded me again, but intangible, unable to take damage, and never dropped the grape. for a while every time i went back i'd get invaded again by a broken Revenger but eventually he just stopped showing up
As far as I know you just have to break the crystalian's posture with strong attacks and then it's easy to finish - this should be a lot easier with a blunt weapon bc like every enemy that has this crystal-or rockskin it should be weak to blunt weapons...
For the crystalian: I started with the twin blade +9 with bleed and hitting her staggered me every time but I switched to the battle hammer(?) and was able to stun lock her with uncharged strong attacks and backstabs. I was actually able to unequip the twin blade and equip the hammer right after realizing I wouldn’t get anywhere with the twin blade and it made all the difference.
If you leave the thief alive and just buy the necklace you will meet him later on in Altus Plateau were you can buy crab meat which gives you greater poise. The volcano manor quest line is really good with some great weapons and armour sets.
I don't see any comment of how to get, on high part of mausoleum, so here: there is spirit springs nearby, that crystal cave so you can jump with it on the top part, just maybe would need to wait untill mausoleum moves little bit closer
This really is a great video. Just a (what I feel is important) tip - killing NPC's/Tarnished alters your ending. The more you do it, the more the corruption takes over (an additional reason to why your eyes gradually turn red). Celestial Dew is limited as well. So, killing King Prawn Chow Tarnished instesd of paying the measly 1000 runes for the necklace alters your ability to buy the prawn from him, and later buying crab from him near the capital (where he's also key in a certain Tarnished gone Full blown Dung frenzied questline). However you choose to retrieve the necklace, she will still give you the letter later on.
Mining cave related tip: Some of the digging enemies (I think the ones with bags on their backs) explode when you hit them with fire. Much more convenient as they can be tanky
There’s a mace just south of the Bridge of sacrifice in the carriage and Godrick soldier ashes that you can get just south west of the storm hill shack up where the red jelly’s are that made the crystalian boss a piece of cake for me

Great video. I ended up getting Rya, the Dex charm, both Death Birds and a few graces. However I think that going in a little deeper on what to do with the grapes would have been nice. You have to feed them to Hyetta but you cannot get Hyetta unless you gave the daughter's letter to the father in Castle Morne. Definitely something hard to do and easy to miss as she teleports around with every grape you feed her. Also, I think the lobster who turns into a mini Godrick that drops a Larval tear might work in this area too. Thanks for the guide 👍
I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this before, but for the crystalized bosses, just use a mace or other blunt weapon. You won't even need to level the weapon up. Just do a few heavy attacks and they'll drop like a sack of potatoes.
There are two other caves in the lake, one on the south side of the lake, east of Laskyar Ruins; and one on the west side of the Raya Lucaria Academy island that requires a Stonesword Key to enter.
I'd be down for some npc quest break downs. I'm new to these kinds of games and I feel like it will be unlikely that I I'll come across the steps and what not by accident.

16:22 The mausoleum. There is ajumping spot for torrent on the cliff next to the mausoleum which you can use to jump on top of it. With that you don't need to jump from gravestones.

Lmao I love how you were gonna "save the DEX item" for a boss fight later on. So many games I've done that and by the end my inventory is full of OP items that I forget to use the whole game
For the walking mausoleum, you can jump up onto it from the nearby jump stream then hack away at the barnacles. Just be ready for the aoe impact when it falls while you're still on it.
Try to get these out fast you are pretty straight to the point. I find alot since I've played alot of the game but you definitely show us the extra tricky stuff. Super useful.

I’ve found that the iron ball, or really any punching style weapon, works absolute wonders on the crystal enemy’s. I just thought we’ll fuck it I’ll just smash it, and it definitely works super well
Thank you, I have missed at least 1 thing in each area!! Also know it's 2 years late, but for tip 12 - I found strike weapons like the morning star work best for these crystal enemies.
Blackguard plays a part in the dung eater questline to get the seedbed curse secret ending. And just and fyi, the sword talisman you get from the cleanrot knight doesnt increase your damage indefinately the longer your combo is, it triggers a set dps increase at 6 for 3% , 8 for 5% and 12 hits for 10% as long as the hits are all within one second of each other, the buff degrades to the lower level for every 1.5 seconds a hit isnt landed till it dissapears. The easy way to get onto the mausoleum is to stand on the 3rd gravestone down on the cliffs in front of it (near the site of grace where bok spawns) and shoot the skulls off, they take one hit each, then the mausoleum sits down permanently.

Crystalians are weak to blunt and piercing attacks, so use your jump R2 or crouch R2, or if your a mage rock sling works wonders. The art of war unsheathe is really good at breaking their poise as well
Oh no... cutting down the blackguard closes off the Age of Curse ending as the Dungeater won't get all 5 seedcurses, 1 of which drops from the blackguard at a later part.

Btw lurnia, carian manor and the academy have a total of like 5 for sure, maybe 6 golden seeds. Also at one of the ruins in the mid southern part of lake have a underground part where u can get a bell that casts a spell but it's an item u use like ur flasks. The mobs in that area use it to cast those yellow and black spells when u hear them ringing their bell

I kept boggart alive because not only am I not an evil bastard, but his quest is cool and he softens up once you buy prawn. I like him. He can also help with the magma wyrm makar fight. He also gives you some insight on the Dung Eater

Blackguard is necessary for Dung Eater's Questline. Just pay the 1000 runes for the necklace.

Yep I think I got it on third try. You might actually have to wait until it's closer though. After each failure, it was getting closer and closer.

You can also use those spiked flail weapons. Use the jump attack does massive stun. You can use this weapon for all the mines.
Two hand a 100% shield. Couldn't be easier.

I watched this one because you showed me two things in Limgrave that I missed. Regardless, I would like watching yours after I complete an area, or at least think I completed the area lol, but you are every bit as thorough as I am so keep it up man I'm looking forward to going through the game with you.
You dont have to kill the "ogers" in the catacombs you can sneak past them all if you are cautious even when you drop down the stairs.
This way it is much easier.
I tried that. Ended up being chased. Climbed up the ladder and discovered ogres can also climb ladders.
Normally I hate the clickbaity 'things you didn't know/things you missed' videos. I'm always like 'this ain't a secret everyone knows that' etc etc. And even though I did find most the things on your lists, I have to admit that your guides are still valuable for taking note of the more obscure sidequests and there's been at least one or two things that I didn't actually get already. I think the way you approach these tips without spoiling things or showing too much detail while still providing specific and helpful information is strangely unique therefore take my subscribe.

Liurnia is one of my favourite areas in the game. I love this area so much

For the mausoleum, you don't need to kill those knights i'm pretty sure. I just went to the top of the cliff and waited and it walked over, albeit pretty slowly, but it did get there
You can also use the updraft thing on your horse that’s near the cliff. Essentially fly to it

NPC Questline videos have been a common thing for the Dark Souls games, so I would highly recommend! I know I certainly would watch them and use them.
for the mausoleum you can go to the near by spirit spring and use that,
for the crystalian use a blunt weapon to shatter it and from there you can just attack it with whatever weapon you have
if by any chance you aggro any NPC theres a church in Liurnia with a turtle with a pope hat so you reset any hostile NPC to neutral
Huh? I waited on the cliff for 5 minutes 4 times because the first 3 times I got impatient…
There’s a ball bearing hunter in that church, wait until night two-three times and the turtle won’t be there, instead the hunter will. There another one in Limgrave where you find a knight merchant that sells you ashes for your weapons, do the same thing again and he will spawn in a red mist.
You missed a whole questline involving the "Dung Eater" alternate ending, by killing prawn man. Just buy the necklace off him and do his quest line. Way more fun.

Crystalians are actually very susceptible to strike attacks (hammers)
Also anything gravity does pretty well also
Can just batter it with any weapon regardless of how crap the damage is at first m and break its posture, once it's posture broken it loses that shell it has and is weak to everything

The southwestern section of this area is a pretty insane spot to work around. Like a high level area tucked away.
There are four ways to deal with the Crystalians : Charged heavy attacks till stance breaks, Jump heavy attacks till stance breaks, Strike weapons or Rock Sling.
The best way to break a rock is to hit it really hard with a hammer several times. This is true in Elden Ring as well, I'm a hammer user and my Great Stars greathammer brings stone enemies to their knees after a couple good hits.
Would the rock digging sorceries that the crystal miners use in some Selia caves work well, I wonder?
A surprisingly easy way is to use Ash of War: Glintblade Phalanx. It inflicts insane posture damage. Two casts will cause a poise break, and then you can destroy them in any manner you see fit. In fact, most enemies suffer poise breaks in at most 2 casts, with a handful of really strong ones taking maybe 4.
Note that the spell version doesn't inflict the same level of poise damage. You definitely want the Ash of War, even if you're playing a mage.
Add a 5th, and move it up all the way to the top: Flame of the Redmanes.
2 casts and you'll have those Crystalians on their knees.
It's an ash of war. Look it up.

Great video, dude, I kinda unlocked most of Liurnia and went here just in case I missed something like a really strong weapon, ash of war, or even some spells
just an FYI. wouldn't really recommend killing Blackguard/mask guy, buy the necklace instead and he will turn into a shop that will sell boiled prawns and later boiled crab just outside Lyndell city, these offer some great damage negation.
He'll also offer some info on another charchter/secret in Lyndell.
oh and the crytallion is vulnerable to strike damage.

The third grape for that girl is driving me insane. I've talked to the blind girl, given the note to her father, been back to her and back again to where she lies to speak to the father when he is grieving, he says he'll get those responsible. Then over to the shack and he just will not appear to invade me, morning, mid day or night. I'm totally at a loss with this damn grape. No idea.
Do you mean the Revenger's Shack? Touching the site of grace should summon him, if you rested at the grace site then left the area without killing him then he will not respawn and you have missed getting the grape
the Revenger invasion glitched out for me: he invaded me, and after I killed him, he invaded me again, but intangible, unable to take damage, and never dropped the grape. for a while every time i went back i'd get invaded again by a broken Revenger but eventually he just stopped showing up
i also get so giddy when i jump over an oncoming attack or just so happen to duck while thrusting to dodge a hit, feels so cool

As far as I know you just have to break the crystalian's posture with strong attacks and then it's easy to finish - this should be a lot easier with a blunt weapon bc like every enemy that has this crystal-or rockskin it should be weak to blunt weapons...
For the crystalian: I started with the twin blade +9 with bleed and hitting her staggered me every time but I switched to the battle hammer(?) and was able to stun lock her with uncharged strong attacks and backstabs. I was actually able to unequip the twin blade and equip the hammer right after realizing I wouldn’t get anywhere with the twin blade and it made all the difference.
If you leave the thief alive and just buy the necklace you will meet him later on in Altus Plateau were you can buy crab meat which gives you greater poise. The volcano manor quest line is really good with some great weapons and armour sets.

I don't see any comment of how to get, on high part of mausoleum, so here: there is spirit springs nearby, that crystal cave so you can jump with it on the top part, just maybe would need to wait untill mausoleum moves little bit closer
This really is a great video. Just a (what I feel is important) tip - killing NPC's/Tarnished alters your ending. The more you do it, the more the corruption takes over (an additional reason to why your eyes gradually turn red). Celestial Dew is limited as well.
So, killing King Prawn Chow Tarnished instesd of paying the measly 1000 runes for the necklace alters your ability to buy the prawn from him, and later buying crab from him near the capital (where he's also key in a certain Tarnished gone Full blown Dung frenzied questline).
However you choose to retrieve the necklace, she will still give you the letter later on.
Mining cave related tip: Some of the digging enemies (I think the ones with bags on their backs) explode when you hit them with fire. Much more convenient as they can be tanky

There’s a mace just south of the Bridge of sacrifice in the carriage and Godrick soldier ashes that you can get just south west of the storm hill shack up where the red jelly’s are that made the crystalian boss a piece of cake for me
if you don't kill homey with the neck!ace, you can buy his prawns which boosts physical damage negation. Later he shows up at the Capitol and sells crab, which boosts physical damage negation even more. Sadly, I didn't know until it was too late...

Great video. I ended up getting Rya, the Dex charm, both Death Birds and a few graces. However I think that going in a little deeper on what to do with the grapes would have been nice. You have to feed them to Hyetta but you cannot get Hyetta unless you gave the daughter's letter to the father in Castle Morne. Definitely something hard to do and easy to miss as she teleports around with every grape you feed her. Also, I think the lobster who turns into a mini Godrick that drops a Larval tear might work in this area too. Thanks for the guide 👍
I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this before, but for the crystalized bosses, just use a mace or other blunt weapon. You won't even need to level the weapon up. Just do a few heavy attacks and they'll drop like a sack of potatoes.

There are two other caves in the lake, one on the south side of the lake, east of Laskyar Ruins; and one on the west side of the Raya Lucaria Academy island that requires a Stonesword Key to enter.

16:22 The mausoleum. There is ajumping spot for torrent on the cliff next to the mausoleum which you can use to jump on top of it. With that you don't need to jump from gravestones.

Great call on the cliff side dungeon. Had no clue about that area. And it’s a tough one!
For the walking mausoleum, you can jump up onto it from the nearby jump stream then hack away at the barnacles. Just be ready for the aoe impact when it falls while you're still on it.
Try to get these out fast you are pretty straight to the point. I find alot since I've played alot of the game but you definitely show us the extra tricky stuff. Super useful.

I’ve found that the iron ball, or really any punching style weapon, works absolute wonders on the crystal enemy’s. I just thought we’ll fuck it I’ll just smash it, and it definitely works super well

Also know it's 2 years late, but for tip 12 - I found strike weapons like the morning star work best for these crystal enemies.
Blackguard plays a part in the dung eater questline to get the seedbed curse secret ending. And just and fyi, the sword talisman you get from the cleanrot knight doesnt increase your damage indefinately the longer your combo is, it triggers a set dps increase at 6 for 3% , 8 for 5% and 12 hits for 10% as long as the hits are all within one second of each other, the buff degrades to the lower level for every 1.5 seconds a hit isnt landed till it dissapears.
The easy way to get onto the mausoleum is to stand on the 3rd gravestone down on the cliffs in front of it (near the site of grace where bok spawns) and shoot the skulls off, they take one hit each, then the mausoleum sits down permanently.

Crystalians are weak to blunt and piercing attacks, so use your jump R2 or crouch R2, or if your a mage rock sling works wonders. The art of war unsheathe is really good at breaking their poise as well
Oh no... cutting down the blackguard closes off the Age of Curse ending as the Dungeater won't get all 5 seedcurses, 1 of which drops from the blackguard at a later part.

Btw lurnia, carian manor and the academy have a total of like 5 for sure, maybe 6 golden seeds. Also at one of the ruins in the mid southern part of lake have a underground part where u can get a bell that casts a spell but it's an item u use like ur flasks. The mobs in that area use it to cast those yellow and black spells when u hear them ringing their bell

I kept boggart alive because not only am I not an evil bastard, but his quest is cool and he softens up once you buy prawn. I like him. He can also help with the magma wyrm makar fight. He also gives you some insight on the Dung Eater
