About tip 9: That location is not pointless. There is a powered down teleporter in there which activates at a certain point in the game and using it transports you to a hidden divine tower which is the only way to activate a great rune from a certain late game optional boss.
Also that talisman must be % based because it definitely gives me much more than 1 hp per second. I have used it several times to top off and keep my full health damage buff going.
@@relic9842 I thint it is 1.5 hp every second. So the game essentially gives you 1, 2, 1 ,2 and so on. There was an item in bloodborne that worked very similar.

13:56 The Blessed Dew talisman that gives hp over time behind the giant is very useful when standing outside of a boss door or able to pause in a cave so as to recover hp without flask use if needed. Useful in a pinch!
Read the item descriptions! There is a ton of lore in the descriptions. You went the whole game not knowing who was fighting by your side. Lhutel the Headless is a woman. “Lhutel sacrificed her life so that in Death she could continue to protect a soulless demigod until their revival, earning her the hero's honor of Erdtree Burial.”
You know Lhutel could very well have been a man who identifies himself as a woman. In other words, who cares. All that matters is that he/she/they/it gets the job done.
Not quite sure how to describe it but there’s a plateau to the east of the minor Erdtree. Use the tombstones to hop down and mind the bats. The grounds are constantly being struck by lightning ( what’s that about anyway?) but off to one edge you can grab the Lightning Strike incantation. Didn’t know this place existed until my third character took on Weeping Pen.
The lightning strikes in several locations in the game. You have to farm all of the lightning plants (forgot the name of them) and the lightning will stop. Run into the lightning field (avoiding being struck is simple on the steed, and harvest all of the lightning plants for crafting
not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but from the Tombsward Catacombs, if you go slightly northeast, past the Demi-Human Forest Ruins. There's a Faith-Knot Crystal Tear by the ledge surrounded by a couple small plant enemies.
Best Eldon Ring videos on TH-cam!!! I have been a gamer for 45 years (I am 53) and played all of the Dark Souls games and love Eldon Ring (better than DS actually). Wanted to say your videos are superior to all others - concise, accurate, well narrated and overall pleasant and informative. I think your channel should explode with subscribers - at least it should. Kind regards, Troy Duncan.
@@lunchmunny2308 Up until last week, I have been 100% PvE and run a samurai dex build using a +25 Nagakabi cold on right, +25 Katana blood on left, +25 Great Briar Shield and a +25 Petal whip. I use +10 Marionette soldiers (they rock). No problem with PvE and only have two bosses left (Godfrey and Melania) - been killing all of the optional bosses and stuff before I kill Godfrey. I have intentionally stayed at level 118 (60 vigor) with PvP in mind as making two characters does not interest me. Started PvP and I am disappointed. Everything is based on special weapon arts instead of old school blocking, parrying, striking, backstabs, rolling etc. I switched for PvP and I have played around with the Rivers of Blood Katana and Helice builds and they do very well but basically PvP right now is all about L2 instead of true fighting. Have you done PvP and what are your thoughts?
I couldn’t agree more!! Only one year off in age from you and like doing games myself without spoilers but being able to back check to make sure I haven’t screwed up a quest or missed something cool. OP’s videos are perfect in that regard :) Cheers!!
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to continue this series, I really hope you enjoy!! I also took your feedback from the last video and added chapters so it's easy to see what each tip is, and also made it much more obvious and clear *where* each of these tips are on the map ❤❤
You should talk about the early Dungeon near the tutorial area that requires a Stone Key, that Dungeon is really challenging but ALL the rewards are worth It (one of the best talismans, Spirit Ashes, Golden seed, a bow, etc)
The Blessed Dew Talisman is awesome. I use it a lot. It helped me a ton in Stormveil Castle when i was creeping around everywhere trying to be stealthy because I was moving fairly slow. I would get in fight in one room and get nicked up pretty good, and then after the fight i would not have to use a health flask. By the time i creeped over slowly and steathily to the next area, it had filled my health back up. its not THAT slow.
Yeah I was coming to post this, if you're between points of grace or don't want to waste your pots and know you're safe, just park yourself in a corner and let the talisman do its thing while you grab a drink or something. I wear it constantly, ANY health regen is better than nothing.
I agree talisman is extremely helpful when exploring. 2 health per second isn't that much in a pinch of boss battle, but consider you might easily spend 2-3 minutes just riding around looking for stuff and gathering rowa fruits between the fights in open world it basically allows you to be contantly on full health without using flasks. Especially when working in tandem with beastial vitality and serpent-god's sword.
7:18 Probably the most useful attribute to this shield is that it has no skill, which allows you to use your main-hand weapon's skill without being required to 2-hand. Great for beginners not yet completely confident in abandoning the shield, and great for players who simply enjoy incorporating the shield-counter into their catalogue of viable contextual strategies.
@@bmsismylife Every weapon has a special skill/attack, but you need to 2-hand it to use it. You can't do that with a shield, instead you'll use whatever the shield's special skill is (parry, shield bash, etc.). But if a shield has no skill you default to the weapon's skill without needing to 2-hand it.
A couple of these tombs are hinted at when you activate those creepy statues... they activate a magical blue line that points directly towards the opening
Being a 2 year old video I can’t express enough how valuable this series is you’ve put together. I watched stormveil castle first hoping man hope he’s done other areas then I find a 63 video playlist yo thank you. Never played a souls game before this shit is hard but man once you learn a little bit it’s an avalanche of progression. Got a sub from me man 🧙🏼♂️
Also, if you have in your left hand while two handing your right hand weapon, say moonveil, you can get the FP by killing without having to use the axe. very useful
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the turtle shell stamina shield. I figure a lot of people are missing that do to it’s hidden location. It was arguably one of the best shields in the game until they neutered it 😔…
Right now i have the beast crest heater and the flame crest wooden shield. is Mr. Turtle a better shield? I'm an over leveled confessor who needs help. lol By the way....how do I know if I'm fat rolling? is there a color or a number or an indicator that will tell me if I'm at the 70% weight mark or approaching it?
@@snickle1980 There is a indicator for your weight somewhere on the bottom right of your status page. If it’s in the red you’re fat rolling. The turtle shield got nerfed so you’re better off using the stamina trinket.
@@ThanosWasRightt I have the brass shield at this point too. Level 39 and i still refuse to do the main quest 😁. Still haven't killed Margaret, but i have eight +4 flasks, Star-scourge, that blood art on top of the aldready bleed-ready Uchi-Cuchi samurai sword, and some other nice knick-nacks. I'm still basically playing this like Skyrim. I'll kill Margaret eventually. I just want to find a few more secrets.
I quite like the blessed dew talisman. Its quite useful for exploring when low level. When exploring you dont know where is the next checkpoint so want to save the potion as much as possible. And with the time you wander aimlessly can pretty much heal completely
Great video, really really helpful for a new player like myself. I'm at about 50% in finding some of this on my own, and 50% new things that I am quickly writing down! Really hope there are more videos for each area. I will continue coming back for them!
Sir, you have created an amazing series. I didn’t know there was another church located in Weeping Peninsula, and I’m already 70+ hrs in…. I need my sacred tears!!!!! 🤣
I actually run the blessed dew talisman to conserve flasks - I'm just bad enough that I take chip damage here and there in most fights, and having the blessed dew running while I'm out running around and exploring usually means I'm full up by the next fight. It's very helpful for those long stretches in legacy dungeons between graces, since you can corner up and heal while saving your flasks for the bigger fights.
Try removing the Blessed dew talisman and replacing it. Also, there is a mine too, in the lower area by the demihumans and past the giant poisonous flowers. There are upgrade material and a demihuman boss with the Rusty Anchor. There are also two caves you missed in the same area, one near a church guarded by a Kaiden sell sword and one near the site of grace Pool. They hold two talismans, but the pool one has the harder foe. You can also find a ranged weapon in the tower near the start of the peninsula. A Scarab you need to pick off from range is in a wooded area near the poison swamp, and offers an incantation related to the area. Finally, the Erdtree’s protector holds a Flask option. Hope this helps! Almost forgot the low-int staff and Magic you can get from the giant demihuman in their ruins.
@ 1:59 if you had first jumped more to the right, you would have landed on the top of the round tower. On top of that round tower is a chest containing the Great Turtle Shell Shield. It comes with the Barricade Shield skill, and scales mainly with strength I believe. Stamina recovery increases by +3/s (7.4%), even if two-handing a weapon in the other hand. This effect stacks with the effect of the Green Turtle Talisman and the Pickled Turtle Neck. Once again another great video Dom and muchly appreciated.
Bro the blessed dew is amazing, it just means when I'm walking around not in combat I'm basically guaranteed to be at full hp without using estos next time I do fight
The more i hear abouit this blessed dew, the more i like it...might be better than the bloody antler daggers' thing I've had attached to me which restores HP on a critical. I'm not sure i can get a critical hit with one handed. i dunno. I like turtles.
@@snickle1980 you can do a critical after staggering an enemy by holding R1. Back stabs, openjng after parrying, and doing the same to sleeping enemies all count as criticals. Blessed due is still not that good. Just imagine when you have more vigor and it's still a slow ticking heal.
@@GodFist66 do the block counterattacks (when you attack after an enemy bounces off your shield) count as criticals? I figured they might because They have that unique sound cue. But I realized I don’t know for certain.
Right? I throw it on whenever I'm running around, but when I enter combat I swap it out. Might help that I got two talisman slots when I first got it, and now I have three anyways.
These guides have become invaluable to me. Don't know what I'd do without them (well, I'd miss a lot) but it's become a pretty reliable rule: if Dom calls it "mediocre", it's awesome. Anyways. The ax the death bird gives you restores health. So yeah.
I think the Blessed Dew Talisman is one of the best in the game! Wear it always except during boss fights when you need the slot for something else and you’ll significantly reduce your usage of healing flasks. It’s slow, but it adds up.
Thank you .. The way you express the info without spoiling is so much appreciated. I like the element of surprise when I’m playing. And when trying to look for a very specific details its hard to not get spoiled. You might not read this. But so much gratitude towards you brother.
The advice on the guy in the Evergoal should be: fight him from range initially until he goes into frost mode. Then use a 100% block shield and just "enjoy" whittling him down. His input reading is off the scale. It's even worse than most of the other bosses in the later game. (This comes from extensive testing with FromSoftware on these "bugs", most of which they ignored.
blessed dew talisman is pretty good, especially early on when you don't have a ton of HP, it gives 2 hp per second. it's great at keeping you topped off from minor damage while exploring, especially dungeons if you take your time and go slow. I still pop it on sometimes if I'm getting up from the game for a minute.
Also worth mentioning is that it seems to stack with other HP regen effects like the one you can attach to the Physick flask. Far from a useless talisman in my experience.
@@KaiserRexatron exactly.. I use this and the regen tear and it pretty much negates poison damage entirely and slows down rot considerably. but mostly I use it for regen of chip damage while exploring
Great stuff! Heads up, their are statues on the mainland that if you interact, will point you to the dungeons in the area. It will show up on your map as well once activated until you actually enter the dungeon it is leading you to.
Specifically they’re near every catacombs type dungeon. And I believe there will also be a ghost or specter somewhere nearby that is also pointing it’s arms in the direction of the entrance to the catacombs. Cheers!
Thanks for this! Also just southwest of Oridys’s Rise there is a tower on the cliff. Just get on your mount and there’s a spiritspring below and hop on top of the tower. There you will find the Great Turle Shell with a Barricade skill.
great video! just wanna point out - night cav and Bird are bosses you find basicly in every region, sometimes more then once. the bird axe is especially usefull early as it recovers FP on kill equally to the HP Blade you find later in the game. just put it in your offhand while dualwielding and you benefit from the effect no matter you can wield it or not.
You can't open the map with enemies nearby because they don't want you to be able to fast travel or run to safety easily. If you could open the map whilst the game counts you as in combat you can get to sites of grace etc. easier and escape the combat. As it is, if you decide to run away from a fight it's just up to your memory to get you out of there - and you may find yourself running into an even worse time as a result! I think it technically makes it harder, overall. Although they could allow you to open your map and just shut off fast travel and it would probably still be balanced. INCIDENTALLY - I've watched two of these videos and made two broadly narky comments on them. Says a lot more about me than it does about you - this series is EXTREMELY good and helpful and thank you for making it! Keep them coming. Two thumbs up!
They could allow map and no fast travel. Skyrim and a few other games do this i believe. I dont really think the map thing is that big of a deal honestly. Been kind of annoying when exploring from time to time but not really a detriment
Well as another snarky writer, I'm sure you had the best intentions or just a rough day. 😁I'm in weeping peninsula right now, watching that Dark Knight. If i were a better player, i could absolutely take him down. I've killed dragons, you know? I've covered WARS! I've killed a giant and I slaughtered that tree hugger on a horse! I bet i can kill him soon...I just need a few more levels 😁 I figured I'd check out this video without spoiling too much. (first souls game) Ps: find any good items down here? Any good weapons? I want a longer sword, but nothing really heavy or slow. I have this +4 broadsword, but its stubby, you know? Have to get in close and i suck.
@@snickle1980 I've been having a good run with the Lordsworn Greatsword you get from the chest near the gatefront site of grace. Little bit of a spend on strength but it's a very decent weapon I think. Nice range, nice moveset, good on horseback. I put the Bloody Slash ashes of war on it and it just ruins bosses.
@@snickle1980 Try the knights great sword. You can find one in the chest inside the cart by the bonfire where you first get to level up. It’s arguably one of the best greatswords in the game and it fits your description pretty well.
snarky/rude comments are oftentimes the only way anyone will ever see them unfortunately cannot count how many times a butthurt tuber favorites my rude/snarky comment that criticises some aspect of a vid (its almost always an audio issue that even most amatuers dont do, like disgusting lip smacking/saliva noises, rambling on and on ABOUT the vid instead of getting to the point, a bunch of stupid disclaimers, an extremely long ad read, ect.) just to get me a bunch of boos but low and behold no matter if i do or not, the tuber (usually) fixes whatever issue im complaining about. if i were nice they wouldnt have paid any attention whatsoever, i guarantee it. and you know the sick thing? the more rude you get the more likely you'll change their behavior or at least get them to see your comment. even if your comment isnt shown to anyone else cause of profanities, they still see it for "review". now THAT is an especially effective way to get your opinion seen above the thousands of others. lol if you wanna compliment them just throw a bunch of four lettered words in it and they'll likely see it lmao oh youtube. youre ran by some of the dumbest motherf!@kers on the f!@king planet.
I finally bought my elden ring!! I was too cheap to pay full price but now that I've played it I'm mad I waited so long... anyways I wanted to say thank you! I absolutely love watching these after I've already cleared the specific area to make sure I didn't miss a thing!!
Just wanted to point out the "useless" Axe you get from the deathbird restores your FP whenever you kill something, even if you don't have the strength requirements and are not actually attacking with the axe. If you two hand a weapon and rely on its weapon art a lot, or if you are a caster, the Sacrifical Axe is one of the best off hand weapons you can have. Same as Serpent-god curved sword but FP may be more important for you depending on your build.
Blessed Dew Talisman is not at all useless. It’s always going, which means that if you take damage and don’t want to use a flask, you can just let it tick away. Usually this is only good between fights, but if you’re clearing out enemies that don’t pose much threat, or exploring in general, it can really extend the use of your healing pool
Quick tip: you can actually roll out of the teleport-trap chests. If you click to open it, then spam dodge so you roll away the second the “opening chest” animation stops, you’ll be safe.
Mediocre axe? Sure, that weapon may not be the best to use, but its special effect makes it an incredible choice to offhand while two handing a different weapon. Every single enemy you kill will that weapon is equipped grants you three FP. Even while you're two handing a different weapon. I found it especially useful on the Ruins Greatsword.
Great tips. Really helpful, looking forward to your next few videos on other regions! Just a little info, Evergaol is pronounced, Ever-jail. Gaol being the old 18th or 19th century English spelling before it was changed. So in essence its a an eternal jail for the particular individual who is unfortunately trapped there.
It was a place in bloodborne where a dude with a bag will kill you and you end up jail its called hyperion goal or something like that thanks for the history lesson
@@sirmarblecake9446 so i have 2 of them. Theres the assassins cerulean dagger that you wear, and you get 15 fp per critical hit you do. Dropped by the black knife assassin boss. And then i have the ancestral spirit horn, and that gives you 3 fp per kill. Its what you get when you do the remembrance of the regal ancestors thing that involves enia in the roundtable hold
@@3rdreichball525 Its from the Remembrance of the boss in the underground valley with the spectral archers. It's not worth it though, you only get 3 fp per kill. That's nothing.
Health regenerating talisman coupled with the health back on critical hits talisman makes dungeon crawling much easier since there is no way to get the estus back, short of resting of course. It is even viable to block and counter with weapons only if you can lend a critical afterwards. And in the early areas you can. There is a risk of outright killing an enemy before you crit it - in that case you miss on health from the critical. But regardless passive health regen is very nice addition.
The axe from tip number 2 is actually pretty good. Maybe not as a weapon itself. But if you like to 2h ur weapons, put the axe in ur offhand. And when you kill something, the axe restores some FP for killing said enemy. Can be pretty nifty and save u some fp pots along the way, making space for one or 2 more crimson flasks instead.
5:30 Cheesy way to kill imps: Crystal Darts. Hit them a few times with them and they go haywire, attacking allies and drawing aggro from them. Works on the Watchdogs too! Keep in mind they will regain their senses at some point, and if you are the only target it won't matter, but it will stun them for a second or two.
Also, there's a tower at the top of where the spirit spring mentioned in tip 3 takes you. You can take that spirit spring and if you aim just right make it onto the top of the tower. There's an item up there (though I forget what it is).
Thank you .. you made it very simple to find. Appreciate how you break down the different areas to find items you missed. Keep doing what you do. This makes my playing time a lot easier
Tip 9: if you have the exploding Crystal tear, you can jump off the edge of that Lift. Line up right next to the right corner start walking towards the edge and pop the flask right before you go off the edge, I got it on my second try. It will explode right before you get to the bottom but you will survive and you have now got a shortcut to the royal capital. Probably get your ass kicked pretty badly at the beginning of the game but it's still kind of cool to get there.
Can't believe I missed this summon. It's really fantastic.. he is fast and really help. I immediately upgraded him to +6 and it's really good for mid game, even the underground because he is fast and teleport behind enemies while I'm slapping them in the face. Tnx for tips, I would never find him because I left this area and I doubt I would be coming back soon. And yeah, I picked up the shield, even I have great and upgraded shield, this one looks awesome so I upgraded it and I'm using it now. :)
I actually love that blessed dew talisman. I play a sorcerer, and at least lower level it makes it so I don't need as many crimson flasks . If I take damage I usually heal it up before I come to another enemy. I'm exploring stormveil castle right now and I almost never need to heal. Totally worth it
Using this series as a wrap-up after I'm done with an area to make sure I didn't miss anything worthy. So far I haven't missed a thing, but at least I have peace of mind.
U can kill the merchants without requiring absolution, they drop bell bearings that u can give to the twins and when u go to the statue in the Church of Vows and u have Celestial Dew, it'll say you don't need absolution
The blessed dew talisman is fantastic for dungeons. If you keep getting chip damage from weak monsters throughout, you don't have to waste any flasks and you can save them for the boss.
The sacrificial axe is actually really good. If you put it in offhand and two hand your main weapon then you still get the 4 fp/kill letting you do more weapon skills while exploring.
These are really great, thanks for doing them. I am playing completely blind but really taking my time trying to find every little thing. Its super nice once I feel like I have seen all there is to come back and view these to see if there is anything that I missed
I wish there was more evergaol's as they provide a good learning experience help you improve your skillset and who doesn't like fighting bosses. Elden Ring far exceeded my expectations and i can't see anything else releasing this year or anytime in the near future that will even come close. I'm rather new to From Soft titles and i can say in all honesty the hype is real.
Also 1 Talisman that is probably an absolute must over every single talisman in game and that is the one that negates ALL FALL DAMAGE. I'll keep the location a secret. Good luck 🙃 changed the game forever for me
geezus, 100+ hours into this game and I'm still finding stuff I haven't seen, I'm already overleveled for Limgrave and Liurnia but I want to explore everything
The Axe that the Deathbird of Tip 2 Drops is actually a Must have if youre playing a Caster Build the axe restores FP every time you kill an enemy as long as it is in your off hand even if youre actually 2-handing your main weapon
I like the blessdew talisman specifically for dungeons, not bosses. Taking your time will allow your health to recover in an orderly fashion without always resorting to a flask
Deathbird. You can aggro nearby Giants and they will actually hurt each other with their attacks, as well as getting in each other's way as you kite around on your horse. Easy way to take it down!
Love the series man!! Keep it up! I'm a completionist as well but just don't have the time really to go through as much as I'd like. One thing I'm trying to do right now is obtain EVERY sorcery spell. I know that would be a lot though considering the lengthy quest lines required for some of the legendary spells. Perhaps just the easier more hidden ones that most of the other content creators aren't covering? Just something to consider for future content if you feel so inclined =)
Fun thing to do with the Erdtree Watch(cat); plink it with 3/4 crystal darts and it goes nuts and starts attacking everything, including the imps which seem to prefer to attack it.
Guess I need to go hunt some ghost turtles. Good video. I did feel that maybe the turtle shell shield up on the east tower or the crossbow on the north tower maybe could have made the list.
Ooh both great weapons, especially the turtle shield!! There's so many amazing hidden things in each area its hard to narrow it down to keep the video from dragging on too long 😂
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but to an Irishman hearing you say Evergowl is priceless. A Gowl in Ireland is someone who just stirs shit or causes people a headache in certain situations. "Go away from me ya gowl", that kinda way. We have Wicklow Gaol here but it's pronounced jail. I would assume the Gaols in ER would be the same but it's definitely not a criticism though so please change nothing. Your videos are great and keep up the good work.
Ah I feel happy to say I didn't miss anything in your limgrave video or this video yet. I'm trying to do a completionist run by map section, saving stormveil for last. Holy crap the amount of things I missed on my first playthrough... definitely recapturing some of that fascination from the first couple of weeks
Thanks for the vid! Regarding the sin mechanic, killing certain npcs locks you out of some quests. For example, killing Irina will lock Hyetta from showing up -- the logic behind this being they're both blind maidens. And if Hyetta doesnt show up, the grapes questline is canceled and therefore one possible ending is also locked. So kill only if you have to, that's my tip :)
Thank goodness for this. I really love this game at the same time I don’t want to spend 2 years playing it to discover it all. I’ve missed two things on this list so not bad.
The sin mechanic is that if you kill a bunch of the merchant and collect their bell bearings, a Bell Hunter will eventually try and kill you. He drops a special reward for defeating him.
For anyone still not sure what sin does, it makes invaders more likely to appear in your game when they use the non summon sign version of the invasion finger. It basically acts like a sort of murder priority queue.
For those who want to murder Npcs without potentially becoming invasion-bait, Requesting absolution takes the sin away which takes you off the invasion priority list.
Thanks for these videos man. I thought I was pretty OP and satisfied with my sorcery build (I can kill most bosses throughout the game but they can also one shot me most of the time) I’ve barely scratched the surface of the main story so I’m taking notes on these videos to go back and get the stuff I missed in limgrave and the WP. Especially memory stones and summons. I think the WP memory stone is the only one I don’t have.
Same here. Int is on 70, strength on like 9 or 10. I've been walking through bosses even tho they can one shit me most the time. Until I stopped at the fire giant. Dude is just too buff.
For tip 10, that dude absolutely bullied me until I figured out just how easily he gets staggered and stance broken. I think I'll try to parry more from now, especially with that storm wall ash I got not too long ago.
Nice. Thanks mate. Missed the Heater shield. I collect all the Heater shields to fit whatever fashion I'm wearing. They all have 100% block but vary in elemental resists. Also interesting way to pronounce jail (gaol) :D
Gaol is actually an old English and Germanic etc.. way of saying Jail. English has changed a LOT over the centuries. If you went back in time to 1300 and tried to talk to someone they would sound like they were speaking Swedish basically.
The blessed talisman is one of the best in the game a good tip is when you're climbing a ladder just keep clicking X in it to equip it and unequip it it'll give you 2 HP for every click
The Sacrificial Axe I tend to use in those bigger dungeons with slower moving enemies &/or when trying to regain or conserve my FP/MP. It's also OK for those small corners & such. 4 FP/MP per kill don't sound like much, but I heard there's a talisman that gives 3 FP/MP per kill; if they stack that 4 FP/MP per kill now becomes 7.
the blessed dew, for anyone wondering what it actually does, is a talisman that regenerates 2 hp every second. its great for exploration when you arent actively seeking fights or constantly in combat so that any hit you may take you arent wasting flasks just to heal from one hit. the other way it works is that every time you equip it it give you 2 hp so if you have the patience you could completely heal yourself by rapidly equiping and unequiping the talisman, though this becomes very tedious late game as you are at 1000 health and over. the last great use for this is to help slow down the rate at which poison depletes your hp since youll be healing as poison takes away your health. beware though, this doesnt work for scarlet rot since instead of a set damage over time like poison, scarlet rot takes a set percentage of your hp with each tick so it scales with you as you progress.
Yo Domtastic I absolutely love these videos!!! Keep up the great content man!!! There super helpful and helps me appease the perfectionist inside of me. 😂
About tip 9: That location is not pointless. There is a powered down teleporter in there which activates at a certain point in the game and using it transports you to a hidden divine tower which is the only way to activate a great rune from a certain late game optional boss.

@@lewispooper3138 not you apparently
yeah the item lore is amazing in this game
You know Lhutel could very well have been a man who identifies himself as a woman. In other words, who cares. All that matters is that he/she/they/it gets the job done.
Did you ask if they identified as a woman? BIGOT
Yeah I found that too and was wondering why it wasn't on the list. Still plenty on here I missed tho
Cheers mate, was just right there when I read this and grabbed it
Just stumbled onto it. What's it for? Idr
What’s your favorite build Troy ?

Hey everyone!
I'm so excited to continue this series, I really hope you enjoy!!
I also took your feedback from the last video and added chapters so it's easy to see what each tip is, and also made it much more obvious and clear *where* each of these tips are on the map ❤❤
You should talk about the early Dungeon near the tutorial area that requires a Stone Key, that Dungeon is really challenging but ALL the rewards are worth It (one of the best talismans, Spirit Ashes, Golden seed, a bow, etc)
Quality
Great job 👏🏿
Keep it going. If you do lore video to that will help views as well. Be careful about linking yourself to only one game though.
Praise the algorithm?
The Blessed Dew Talisman is awesome. I use it a lot. It helped me a ton in Stormveil Castle when i was creeping around everywhere trying to be stealthy because I was moving fairly slow. I would get in fight in one room and get nicked up pretty good, and then after the fight i would not have to use a health flask. By the time i creeped over slowly and steathily to the next area, it had filled my health back up. its not THAT slow.
yeah the Dew Talisman is nothing to scoff at, especially if you've not got a vigor heavy build.
Yeah I was coming to post this, if you're between points of grace or don't want to waste your pots and know you're safe, just park yourself in a corner and let the talisman do its thing while you grab a drink or something. I wear it constantly, ANY health regen is better than nothing.
i found a talisman that gives hp on critical hits. its pretty good
I agree talisman is extremely helpful when exploring.
Agreed. I still use it in certain circumstances in the overworld.
Merchants are the only people kind to me in this world of pain and suffering im not killing them
7:18 Probably the most useful attribute to this shield is that it has no skill, which allows you to use your main-hand weapon's skill without being required to 2-hand.
Great for beginners not yet completely confident in abandoning the shield, and great for players who simply enjoy incorporating the shield-counter into their catalogue of viable contextual strategies.
Ooh yes nice one!
I thought "no skill" was just the game describing what it thought of me! 😂
@@DomsRoundtable If you squint, at juuust the right angle, you'll realise that sun emblem actually reads "Git gud".
Can you explain it again, I’m a souls noob. Lol not exactly sure what you mean here
@@bmsismylife Every weapon has a special skill/attack, but you need to 2-hand it to use it. You can't do that with a shield, instead you'll use whatever the shield's special skill is (parry, shield bash, etc.).
But if a shield has no skill you default to the weapon's skill without needing to 2-hand it.
r/iamverysmart
A couple of these tombs are hinted at when you activate those creepy statues... they activate a magical blue line that points directly towards the opening
And they remain marked on your map if you haven't discovered the catacomb they point to (they always point to catacombs).
Also at night there are Jellyfishes roaming outside
Being a 2 year old video I can’t express enough how valuable this series is you’ve put together. I watched stormveil castle first hoping man hope he’s done other areas then I find a 63 video playlist yo thank you. Never played a souls game before this shit is hard but man once you learn a little bit it’s an avalanche of progression. Got a sub from me man 🧙🏼♂️
That axe is actually quite good! Gives you FP when you kill an enemy while it is equipped, and you can put your choice of ash of war on it.
I'm an over leveled confessor who needs help. lol
By the way....how do I know if I'm fat rolling? is there a color or a number or an indicator that will tell me if I'm at the 70% weight mark or approaching it?
@@snickle1980 There is a indicator for your weight somewhere on the bottom right of your status page. If it’s in the red you’re fat rolling. The turtle shield got nerfed so you’re better off using the stamina trinket.
Isn't the brass shield better in every way?
@@ThanosWasRightt I have the brass shield at this point too. Level 39 and i still refuse to do the main quest 😁.
Still haven't killed Margaret, but i have eight +4 flasks, Star-scourge, that blood art on top of the aldready bleed-ready Uchi-Cuchi samurai sword, and some other nice knick-nacks. I'm still basically playing this like Skyrim.
I'll kill Margaret eventually. I just want to find a few more secrets.
@@ThanosWasRightt I think the turtle shell gives you stamina regen even when it’s just on your back. So you can stack them with the talisman.
Lmao great for any player, this game is massive and it’s easy to miss anything
Sir, you have created an amazing series. I didn’t know there was another church located in Weeping Peninsula, and I’m already 70+ hrs in…. I need my sacred tears!!!!! 🤣
I actually run the blessed dew talisman to conserve flasks - I'm just bad enough that I take chip damage here and there in most fights, and having the blessed dew running while I'm out running around and exploring usually means I'm full up by the next fight. It's very helpful for those long stretches in legacy dungeons between graces, since you can corner up and heal while saving your flasks for the bigger fights.
Ya GOTTA keep doing these videos! They are some of the most helpful videos I've seen on the game so far!
I'm trying to find the two caves and the scarab, could you be more specific?
You can press Map > Y/triangle > X/square to teleport to roundtable hold. No need to hover your cursor to the corner each time
Wait... WHAT?!
@@okonkwojones They don't count as crits, but they're a great way to open enemies up for crits by breaking their stance.
Appreciate that. I figured i'd look at the comment section befor eth video because i dont want to spoil too much.
For the Deathbird, put a map tack on it, and come back later when you can craft Holy Pots. That particular bird can be downed in 3-4 throws.
I've seen people lure enemies to it too, they kill it quick sometimes.
these guides have been really useful. thank you! reminds me of the old days of gaming and looking up fan-made guides in the forums.
Was going to make a comment about that but couldn’t remember what I found there lol.
It also regens stamina but it’s not great. Still nice to have especially early game
Worth mentioning that the demi-human ashes are much stronger at night. The annoying part about that is that it's always morning after you die.
great video!
just wanna point out - night cav and Bird are bosses you find basicly in every region, sometimes more then once.
the bird axe is especially usefull early as it recovers FP on kill equally to the HP Blade you find later in the game. just put it in your offhand while dualwielding and you benefit from the effect no matter you can wield it or not.
The Deathbird's axe is actually not bad because each kill gives you FP. Great for mixed builds and long dungeons
I bet i can kill him soon...I just need a few more levels 😁
I figured I'd check out this video without spoiling too much. (first souls game)
Ps: find any good items down here?
It’s arguably one of the best greatswords in the game and it fits your description pretty well.
snarky/rude comments are oftentimes the only way anyone will ever see them unfortunately
cannot count how many times a butthurt tuber favorites my rude/snarky comment that criticises some aspect of a vid (its almost always an audio issue that even most amatuers dont do, like disgusting lip smacking/saliva noises, rambling on and on ABOUT the vid instead of getting to the point, a bunch of stupid disclaimers, an extremely long ad read, ect.) just to get me a bunch of boos but low and behold no matter if i do or not, the tuber (usually) fixes whatever issue im complaining about.
if i were nice they wouldnt have paid any attention whatsoever, i guarantee it.
and you know the sick thing? the more rude you get the more likely you'll change their behavior or at least get them to see your comment. even if your comment isnt shown to anyone else cause of profanities, they still see it for "review".
now THAT is an especially effective way to get your opinion seen above the thousands of others.
lol if you wanna compliment them just throw a bunch of four lettered words in it and they'll likely see it lmao

Easily my favorite Elden Ring area content. Love the clarity and positive vibes
The spritwell in Tip #2 also takes you up the tower of the rampart ruins for a very nice early game shield.
Wait really? So I can abandon my dex-int build and go full int if I have this axe in my offhand? I'll go take this deathbird down today.
I just found this out today while running my colossal weapon class. Very useful
I found it especially useful on the Ruins Greatsword.
i've relied heavily on Lutel the headless! such a beast summons.
Blaidd calls it a prison when you first meet him.
It was a place in bloodborne where a dude with a bag will kill you and you end up jail its called hyperion goal or something like that thanks for the history lesson
in case anyone missed, the sacrificial axe from the deathbird restores fp on kills
It does WHAT NOW?! Brb, gotta slay a bird.
Theres a talisman that does the same too. I don't remember where i got it, but it does the same for a kill you get fp
@@3rdreichball525 WHAT?! That would be even better. Goddamn it, now that I killed that bird it seems I have to go on a Wiki dive...
Another amazing vid! This is my first souls game. 20 hours in, level 27 and still can't get Margit passed half HP. I won't quit though!!
Thank you .. you made it very simple to find. Appreciate how you break down the different areas to find items you missed. Keep doing what you do. This makes my playing time a lot easier
2 years after your post, you are still helping. Thanks.
as a newbie to the series im proud of how many of these I found on my own but the subtly of some of the side quest was new to me
This whole series is without a doubt some of the absolute best content for Elden Ring players of all kinds. Please keep it up!! 😌✊
Totally worth it
1:30 Deathbirds HATE Holy. Get Holy pots ready
Using this series as a wrap-up after I'm done with an area to make sure I didn't miss anything worthy. So far I haven't missed a thing, but at least I have peace of mind.
8:00 Map is locked when enemies are near to prevent teleporting out of combat.
Could've just prevented fast travel while in combat
U can kill the merchants without requiring absolution, they drop bell bearings that u can give to the twins and when u go to the statue in the Church of Vows and u have Celestial Dew, it'll say you don't need absolution
I can't believe I missed tip 5! I legit passed in front of those pillars and was like, nope looks like there's nothing here, and left.
I run a frost mace and magma wyrm greatsword that wrecks enemies AND my FP meter, this tip is awesome.
Like how I missed half these things and thought I was done with this place. Depth of this game blows my mind
Also 1 Talisman that is probably an absolute must over every single talisman in game and that is the one that negates ALL FALL DAMAGE. I'll keep the location a secret. Good luck 🙃 changed the game forever for me
Blessed dew talisman has saved my flasks umpteen times, especially Rennala first stage hiding behind pillars till my bar’s full again
geezus, 100+ hours into this game and I'm still finding stuff I haven't seen, I'm already overleveled for Limgrave and Liurnia but I want to explore everything
Not much to explore
The Axe that the Deathbird of Tip 2 Drops is actually a Must have if youre playing a Caster Build
the axe restores FP every time you kill an enemy as long as it is in your off hand even if youre actually 2-handing your main weapon
You are the most helpful person on TH-cam for this game.. brilliant led out description off the map and the areas we are heading into.. great job sir.
Blessed dew talisman: attach unattach over & over, itll replenish your health til its full just takes time, i love it as a lvl wretch! Amazing vids!
"Stay on his arse and keep smashing him up" - this is my kind of content
Guess I need to go hunt some ghost turtles. Good video. I did feel that maybe the turtle shell shield up on the east tower or the crossbow on the north tower maybe could have made the list.
Ooh both great weapons, especially the turtle shield!! There's so many amazing hidden things in each area its hard to narrow it down to keep the video from dragging on too long 😂
They nerfed it 😭…
Great video, can’t wait for the Stormveil castle episode I feel like I missed so much in the ruins
It's amazing you say the health regen talisman is one of the worst. I think it's one of the best and I've had it almost permanently equipped.
Ah I feel happy to say I didn't miss anything in your limgrave video or this video yet. I'm trying to do a completionist run by map section, saving stormveil for last. Holy crap the amount of things I missed on my first playthrough... definitely recapturing some of that fascination from the first couple of weeks
Heads for new players the shield bonus tip is probably the best medium shield for low weight early to mid game. 100% recommended.

The sin mechanic is that if you kill a bunch of the merchant and collect their bell bearings, a Bell Hunter will eventually try and kill you. He drops a special reward for defeating him.
those guys show up at merchants’ shacks at night anyway... are you sure that isn’t what is going on?
For anyone still not sure what sin does, it makes invaders more likely to appear in your game when they use the non summon sign version of the invasion finger. It basically acts like a sort of murder priority queue.
For those who want to murder Npcs without potentially becoming invasion-bait, Requesting absolution takes the sin away which takes you off the invasion priority list.
You can also use absolution to fix a particular blue waifus quest if you tried to puppet-roofie her.
Neat tip. The ugly statues in the area, when examined they point you towards the location of a catacomb
