Posting this comment here so people know while watching the next in the series. I love how he DOES NOT spoil the lore. Sometimes I am just looking for a hint or an item but didn't want the lore/story ruined. This NEVER happened with these guides. Perfectly done!
I had a weird event happen with the dragon when I fought it at a pretty low level. I managed to reduce it to about half health, then it flew into the side of the nearby cliff and just died. I can only imagine it was massive head trauma.
Happened to me too. At the end of a 20 min cat and mouse game with me abusing the heal spell he just goes and die by landing on the side of a Cliff and having a heart attack
The Giants at 5:10 are a great very-early game farm. Aggro 3 of them and lure them together and you can get them to kill each other by weaving in and out and in-between them, and they will damage each other while trying to hit you. You'll get around 1000 runes per giant.
Thanks I'll have to try that one out. You can also snipe the one on the way down to the beach without ever being hit. If you hide in the bushes right above where it walks next to two birds just down the path from the square building thats at the top of his normal pacing path, then hit him with fire arrows using a bow with mighty shot. Make sure that you wait until it's a little bit away from your spot and then hit it one or a couple of times but then when he gets really angry and starts coming your way get low and hide in the bushes and don't move until it walks away, then you can shoot it again ....rinse and repeat until it's dead. Oh and make sure that you are not paying runes for all those arrows or it will get very pricy buying tons of arrows, so make sure that you farm the parts and make your own. Add a golden pickled foul foot right before it does so you double your runes.
The fact that Yura can help you fight the dragon is absolutely bananas. The level of detail in this game is unbelievable. I’m so upset I killed him on like my first day. Would’ve loved to do his quest.
@@arnebaganz1249 really ?? I’m like 130 hours in & still haven’t cleared Altus Platuea or Caelid bc I’m searching every centimeter of the map. I didn’t watch any videos for my first 20-30 hours & it’s my first FromSoft game so the learning curve was kinda steep for me lol
@@yvngtonyb Same. I'm over 100hrs and im barely halfway through Liurnia. And none of it has been particularly difficult, Its mainly searching every corner of the map. Lol.
@@yvngtonyb You get his weapon later on when he dies at the Church on Altus Plateau, Then a body snatcher shows up in his body. Killing him then is optional but gives you the armour.
The first time I came across Siofra River Well and took the lift down, I was amazed at how long it went. Once I got a little further in, my jaw dropped. It’s an unbelievably beautiful area. FromSoft really outdid themselves with Elden Ring. I just finished it yesterday and started Dark Souls 3. It’s great!
I too was amazed when I discovered it. It's challenging and takes quite a while to work through. Definitely one of the highlights of the game so far. I still need to go back and kill the secondary boss whenever I find someone who can help me.
Broooo i'm probably too late but play dark souls games in their respective order, DS3 has a lot of references and the story it's pretty much a continuation of the first 2. Believe me, DS3 was mas first souls game and I regret playing DS3 first, the experience it's way better if you play them in the correct order. Also if u come from elden ring, DS1 probably will feel off on the movement, combat and everything but you'll get used to it
Recently discovered these videos and I gotta say, I really appreciate them. I'm around 160 hours into my first playthrough and even though I explore rather thouroughly, apparently there still are a lot of things that I missed (like the turtle talisman). But what I really really like about these videos is how you don't spoil too much. You basically go "Here's where you should look. Go on and discover the rest". The section about the well leading to the underground areas is a good example. I have to agree, I was STUNNED the first time I randomly stumbled over this and went down there. It's great how you don't spoil this part of the discovery.
I'm finally back at Elden Ring to finally finish it for the very first time. Since I'm a completionist, these videos really help me to deal with the huge amount of stuff I may have missed.
Wonderful content. Detailed enough while still being succinct, and I really appreciate you leaving out hard spoilers. Just started playing and needed a few pointers, but like you said, some things you have to experience the first time yourself. Cheers -- keep up the good work!
I loved the tips, it gave me the push i needed without spoiling anything. Like i found the howling place myself and i found the corresponding boss myself but i just didnt notice the dialog option with Kale. Or i found the castle but i didnt know it has a questline associated with it. Felt like the video was custom tailored just for people like us, good luck with the playthrough.
@@marcusillanes6713 drop enough words like that in conversation, and people will assume you're some braniac no matter how full of BS you may be (I speak from experience). Have a happy new year, Marcus!
The well with the erdtree is a quest later on. You speak with Ranni and Baidd again and there will the quest continue. It's not missible only coming later to guide you that way.
I’m about 70 hours into the game, and everything in this video was really useful! No spoilers as well! It’s a very well made and put-together video, I’m making my way through this series now. - Sam C
Yes please do more of these videos, absolutely love them. I like having an area completely discovered but it can feel like a chore if you've already moved on, so this stuff is so so nice to reference and enjoy stuff you might've missed
My first playthrough was 250+ Hours and there was still some shit I missed. I can say with 100% certainty that it will take multiple playthroughs to get it all. No matter how thorough you are there is always something you didn't see.
I have about 70 hours now. I beat Godrick etc and now I'm back to the weeping pen cause I wasn't there. That's the only region I missed in limgrave. I've uncovered 8 from 10 things of this video and this in 70 hours 😂 So yeah, the time to 100% limgrave is probably bout 50-100 hours alone.. 😭 lolol ✌️
Spent 10-12 hours exploring and getting to the end of Stormveil Castle, just to discover I hadn't picked up the crafting kit or summoning bell. Completely missed both.
@@harshitrakhiani8833 No man, I told back then I explored EVERYTHING. There was nothing more to see or to get 😅 I farmed pretty much every armour set, weapon and was everywhere. I had to change my playstyle after i explored Liurnia for about the same time 😂✌️
I was wondering how to get that item from the starting area! You're the first person to relay that info... thank you. I enjoy this type of guide because some of the side quests are very difficult to initiate, much less complete.
I ran into Yura for the first time by the fire. He gave me vague warnings about avoiding the lake. Cool how many different ways there are to encounter NPCs
Me too. Though I was extremely confused when I was invaded when coming out of murkwater cave since I was having to play offline at the time...lol I also didn't realize that I needed to run ahead so that I would get help from him. I ended up searching the internet and figured it out while trying to find the reason why I was invaded while offline.
same. I've beaten the dragon 2-3 times (restarted after Nepheli's quest broke for me when the update came out) and i've always one it on my own, I never even knew you could get him to help
That's actually his starting point.... But if you do the npc invader fight first yura will move, you also can't advance his quest line untill you kill both the dragon and the invader
@@gentlemanmadness607 I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that you don't have to do the dragon fight with Yura for his quest to move forward, the rest sounds right.
@@magmat0585 😆 The first time I went to fight the dragon I didn't intend on actually beating it since I needed to lose onece so Yura will help you, so I ran in and just tried to get the hang of it's moves but found that his health was getting pretty low and thought "hey maybe I'll just kill it on my first try", only a tiny bit of it's health remained and I was feeling fairly proud of myself ...then boom bastard just flew up into the air disappeared and reappeared back in it's reg spot, everything has reset all the mobs who were dead, the Dragonburnt ruins that had been smashed during the fight, all my health ..etc, it was as if I had died but I didn't and was nowhere near a grace. I was so damn confused but decided to check back with Yura to see if his dialog had changed to the after you get his warning but then go die to the dragon anyway, sure enough he seemed to think that I had died during that fight so I just went back to do the fight with him. Once I found his summon spot and we started the fight I was in for a pleasant surprise when I targeted the dragon and realized that it's health was at the low amount it has been before everything had reset on me.... We killed it pretty fast and I was glad because that big bastard seemed to fight much harder when Yura was with me... 😆 Hey its nice to finally benefit from a glitch like that, usually you just end up getting screwed over just as you are killing the big bad boss.
i'm playing elden ring right now and have watched so many of your videos as reference to check on places/areas i may have missed that at this point your intro "good morning good afternoon and good evening (...)" feels so much like a good friend. thanks for sharing your videos! i love watching them and reading the comments on each for helpful tips.
Pretty far into the game now but I knew I missed some things so I went back to Limgrave to find whatever I skipped and your video helped a lot! Thanks man
Clear, concise, and extremely useful. Had no idea I missed so much in Limgrave, of all places. I’ll watch anything else you have to say about Elden Ring. Thank you 🙏
If when you get to Blaidd after the snap and he’s aggro’d and attacks, don’t kill him. Go to the right path around liurnia lake and halfway up you’ll find the Church of Vows and the giant Turtle Pope. At the statue in the Church you can request absolution, which will make any NPC’s pissed forgive you.
Oh man I found all of these on my own, playing the other souls game really prepares you for this game. Still, it took me 80 hours to clear limgrave and in 80 hours I'd probably be mid game in dark souls 3 lol. I love this game
Thanks for the tips. Got a bit stuck after Renalla so I thought to clear up Limgrave a bit first. Didnt know how to crack those statues so thanks for that. Also Some fun quest lines. Great job
I was surprised to have missed the overhang cave on the beach even though I had been there and the site of grace. If I missed these I am sure I missed other stuff in areas so keep it coming! Thanks!
Thank you! I'm almost done with Limgrave but your video showed me few things I missed. I forgot the finger snap place for example. I appreciate a lot that you kept the spoilers minimum and just gave directions and let players to figure out the rest.
Watch out that you don't accidentally Anger Blaidd, I'm not sure what I did but he just wants to kill me now. I would suggest maybe not opening the chest in the ruin until after talking to him, don't know if that's what did it but I don't know what else could have, i haven't killed any bears either so...
@@whispersinthedark88 I heard that sometimes killing the sleeping rune bear can make him hostile. Also - I killed the guy without Blaidd's help, so no quest progress for me. How much will I loose quest- and itemwise?
@@waldemarbata325 yeah I had read about the bear issue online so I didn't touch any bears at all, but I somehow managed to agro him. Sorry can't help with the loot thing as I haven't advanced it since I'm going to wait until I can get absolution at the church...I just need to level up so I can get the dam Dew. I'm pretty sure that at the end of his story you get his armour and moon greatsword, which I have heard is one of the best armours and a really good weapon also, if you don't do his storyline I don't think that you can get it. Hope you can figure out da way.
These videos are so helpful for Someone like me that has never touched a souls game before but really wanted to play Elden Rings. And I love how you don’t say spoilers. I thank you for that.
The more videos I watch, the more I realize how many quests I did without talking to the proper NPC first. I'm definitely going to have to follow a side quest guide when I get to new game plus.
I just met that wolf guy for the first time much later at Ranni's Rise... or at least I think it's him. Killed that boss a while back on my own... wish I had some help. Could've saved me a few deaths
That cave Boc mentions is in the area for the best foul foot farming area so seek it out. Oh don't wear that turtle talisman if you're gonna hunt down turtles. Bad things happen haha. I'm 226 new game +1 and missed a fair amount of this. Great video. On to the next as I seek my platinum trophy
There is also a bellbearing hunter to kill at night at the warmasters shack, an entrance to an island with church of the dragon communion in the coastal cave after you face the boss. You can kill Death bird at night if you go to the seashell looking area SE of warmasters shack and a massive golem that is asleep that awakens when you go near him on the open area near stormveil castle. But yea they are the only ones you haven't mentioned of note so well done. God video :D and yes I would like to see a weeping penninsula one please.
@@KingEdwardMMVIII Yea he was for me too. Then my friend who is a mage build destroyed him first time because he walks slowly at her giving her time to cast devastating spells on him. I'm a melee samurai build so his slow pace doesn't matter against me. It got him killed against her though lol. Apparently there are about 4 of them in the game.
Dude, you are an absolute delight. I really enjoy your style and how you go over the different tips and tricks. I had no idea you could summon help on that dragon. Definitely subscribed!
Thanks my good man! I had missed several of these and was about to start exploring Weeping Peninsula! Now I'm relatively confident I've found most everything Limgrave has to offer!
That rock formation in the center of the lake actually blocks a lot of the dragons fire attacks. I literally just circled the rock and took a few shots when I could get them. Was too rough out in the open starting out. Use terrain to your advantage and it will be an easier fight.
Hey! Just wanted to say I really appreciate you leaving the questlines open so that people can still experience them. Super informative video! I’ll probably come back to this a couple times to make sure I got everything 😁
These are amazing. I've played a lot of Souls games, so I know some of the common gimmicks with fromsoft, but Elden Ring changed the game with the open world, making it a lot easier to miss stuff and quests without realising, and having videos where they simply point you in the right direction it's the best, specially when most of the other videos just straight up spoil things.
All of the soulsborn games made it too easy to miss stuff & ruin quest lines unintentionally. But you’re right, Elden Ring really took it to another level. I rarely have any idea where I’m supposed to be going next, I’m always badly under-leveled because I don’t wanna resort to using rune farming exploits, bosses are damn near impossible without help (summons) when you’re under leveled. And all the NPCs in my game are dying off 1 by 1 because I have no idea what the hell is going on with them or their quest line. Rogiers the sorcerer just keeled over & died one day. No information. Didn’t even know he was sick. So bottom line, yeah it’s too damn easy to screw up & waste lots of time trying to figure out what you should be doing next. It’s my only complaint with the game. With a massive open world like this, they need a system of some sort to track and/or organize quests. There should be longitude & latitude coordinates on the map, along with a way to write notes in game. So if you see something cool that you’d like to return to, you get the coordinates and write a note of what you saw there. Add a quest tracker & that should be more than enough, but it’s clear the vague and under-stated approach to quest design Fromsoft used in games like DS & Bloodborne simply won’t cut in games like Elden Ring.
The obscure questlines are intentional. If the player doesn't explore and go into ng + and such, they won't get it all! I Lois the fact I have to work for my juice
@@del761 I get that, but there’s degrees of obscurity, right? This is by far the hardest souls game to keep track of everything. Also, if you explore too much, and venture too far you can kill quest lines without even knowing it. So in a way, you’re penalized for exploiting too much, too soon. This is among my top 5 all time favorite games, but it’s not without its flaws.
I disagree with so many of your pionts. Roger just died on you one day? Did you go around the castle instead of through it? Did you miss it on purpose? I can't say I agree with your language like "won't cut it" for a game like this. The quests and NPC s are obscure like this on purpose. Some NPC quests require others to fail. If they added a quest log or many of your other suggestions it would ruin the whole point of genuine discovery by the player. I think other open world games should learn from this title instead of "won't cut it" lol.
@@del761 Obviously I spoke to Rogier. Look bro, Im thinking out loud here. Im not the only one who’s complaining about this. And I’m not some noob to souls games. I’ve been a FS fan going back to the Armored Core games(where Miyazaki started), and most souls fans don’t even know about that series. At the very minimum there should be a system whereby you can keep track of all the things you see in the world. It’s not enough to leave a marker, because A) they’re limited to 5 markers. B) you can’t leave a description of what’s at that marker point. I suppose you can get paper & pen and keep track that way, but your max for leaving markers is 5. Why? Anyway, if you like the obtuse quest line system where you haven’t a clue how to eff it up and often get your NPC killed without realizing, great. I’m glad you like it. I shouldn’t have to play NG+ to figure out how to go about these quests. Also, did you know that if you explore too far, many of your quests end up automatically failing? You think they could’ve mentioned that? Look, I’ve never complained about the intentional under-stated story system. But they’ve taken it too far imo. If you think the struck the perfect balance, great. I’m Glad for you. It’s not working that way for me. What can ai tell you. God only knows how much loot I’ve lost out on because I failed a quest that I didn’t even know it was active. But if you think their system for quest lines is perfect, I’m jealous.
I really appreciate this man, especially the fact that you don't spoil each hidden things that we may have missed but instead just lead us there. A true captain
Tip. You can set up to 100 markers on the map. Use the markers to cover each area. Set a way point, search that area in a circle fashion around the way point. Once everything is discovered, replace the waypoint with a marker. Repeat this until the entire area of choosing is filled. Larger areas use more then 100 markers, so do half then make a line with the markers, and work on the area past the line. Once you get this down, you can explore everything 100% and pretty quick too. Just keep in mind this does require you to open your map quite a bit, so make sure your out of combat.
I appreciate your respect for players experiencing certain places and events in game for themselves and not showing/telling too much! Very cool of you 👏
Great content my friend! I wish I saw this when I started playing hahaha I already got all of them but if I saw this video early, everything would've been easier! People starting the game should definitely see this.

Just ad a bit if info for the invasion in the begging, you don’t actually have to progress further into the canyon for him to help, if the bloody finger invades, a roughly ten second timer starts, and at the end of the timer the hunter just shows up
nice tips, a few of these i'd stumbled on by myself, didn't know you could get Yura's help with the dragon though, i did it on horseback instead, hit and run. One little note for you, Evergaol, Gaol is the old English spelling of Jail, and is pronounced almost identically. Essentially the Evergaols are spirit prisons for the bosses trapped inside. Which makes the player a bit of a douche for breaking in and murdering it's occupant honestly.
Hi, thank you so much for these videos! 2 quick questions / recommendations: When I face off against the dragon after activating the NPC, I can't activate Torrent. I'm not sure if this is a recent "fix" or if I am missing something, but he's definitely not available to me after I summon the cooperative. And I don't mean to be critical but if you can spend a few extra seconds on the map diagram of the area you're in it really helps! I realize we can pause the video when needed but sometimes its hard to catch the exact frame. Much appreciated!

When I started playing the first time, I went straight to Stormveil, grinded a +3 sword, dumped most of my points into DEX, and tried to solo Margit at level 20~. After six hours, I was finally successful. I had no idea you could use Ashes or summon Rogier. It was probably the hardest thing I've done in the game to date, even harder than Melenia. Now he is the boss that gives me the least amount of trouble in the game, even if I don't use Ashes or Rorgier. I had no idea you could get Yura to help you with the dragon. That's awesome!

First dark souls type game so im glad I figured this out on my own lol made it here within my first hour & farmed for the first couple days.
Gotta try this, thanks!
Just watch some yt guide, a very easy place is the ball that gives 2k per 20s (doesnt need to fight it) or go to moghwyn palace for the best farm spot

The fact that Yura can help you fight the dragon is absolutely bananas. The level of detail in this game is unbelievable. I’m so upset I killed him on like my first day. Would’ve loved to do his quest.
Same. I just HAD TO have his katana.
Was too greedy for his Nagakiba also, but I think you can get his armor later in the game nevertheless.
It's great how you don't spoil this part of the discovery.
simply love how you are so careful not to spoil the fun and joy of discovering for ourselves... thanks a lot for a nice video!!
Really good content! Would appreciate further videos on every area ..I'm a total completionist and want to 100% this game
👌🏾 please
+1
It shall be done! Stormveil Castle will be out tomorrow, then Liurnia of the Lakes and Siofra River next week!! 🤩
Me too :)
Do quest line videos and secret wall doors, please.
Succinct - new word of the week!

I have spent most of my time at Limgrave and I missed 90% of this stuff so damn good video mate . Keep it up
My first playthrough was 250+ Hours and there was still some shit I missed.
I've uncovered 8 from 10 things of this video and this in 70 hours 😂
So yeah, the time to 100% limgrave is probably bout 50-100 hours alone.. 😭 lolol ✌️
Spent 10-12 hours exploring and getting to the end of Stormveil Castle, just to discover I hadn't picked up the crafting kit or summoning bell. Completely missed both.
@@dondemonico bro 70 hours and now u have beaten godrick? u much have pretty explored everything 😅
@@harshitrakhiani8833 No man, I told back then I explored EVERYTHING. There was nothing more to see or to get 😅

I had to change my playstyle after i explored Liurnia for about the same time 😂✌️
Really appreciate not including spoilers as much as possible. Every other tips video just distroys you're natural experience with the game. Great vid.
Hey its nice to finally benefit from a glitch like that, usually you just end up getting screwed over just as you are killing the big bad boss.
I found that as a strength based character, Yura made the dragon fight harder because you cannot be mounted while he is summoned. Food for thought
i'm playing elden ring right now and have watched so many of your videos as reference to check on places/areas i may have missed that at this point your intro "good morning good afternoon and good evening (...)" feels so much like a good friend. thanks for sharing your videos! i love watching them and reading the comments on each for helpful tips.
Great job
I really liked the fact that you didn't spoil some of the things you talked about! I'm going to see them myself.
I was surprised to have missed the overhang cave on the beach even though I had been there and the site of grace. If I missed these I am sure I missed other stuff in areas so keep it coming! Thanks!
Appreciate the way you did this video minimizing spoilers but still making it very informative. Great stuff
I found Siorfra on one of my first play sessions - immediately reminded me of Blackreach in Skyrim!
You gave better Tips than the videocreator

You can also stand on the ruin fragment leaning on the Cliffside (the one with the crab or lobster under) and kill him with arrows using a bow.
Very cool of you 👏
love this series but yeah I would definitely watch a series going through side quests

I thought I sucked at this game, but I actually found most of these myself, so that gives me a nice confidence boost! 😂
Hi, thank you so much for these videos! 2 quick questions / recommendations: When I face off against the dragon after activating the NPC, I can't activate Torrent. I'm not sure if this is a recent "fix" or if I am missing something, but he's definitely not available to me after I summon the cooperative. Amazing video!!! New to the dark souls games and realized elden ring is a game I can play forever. So much fun to be had. Keep making these.
