- Lori Vallow was known as a loving mother and devout Mormon raising a family in Arizona. But in 2019, her religious beliefs transformed into extreme and disturbing ideas, according to police.
The so-called "Doomsday Cult Mom" is about to stand trial, accused of murdering her two children and conspiring with a self-proclaimed prophet in the death of his first wife.
In a FOX 10 Investigative Special, Justin Lum unravels the timeline and reveals how murder, money and the end of days shaped the Lori Vallow case.

One of the worse things about this is that the authorities let her get by with so much. If they had listened to her husband's their would be 2 live children.

He would also be alive. It's all so sad. It shows how sexist police officers can be. Both with how they dismissed Charles and let Lori get away with so much.
Dont forget Tylee was one of them who stood by her mom for hours with cops many times. Lori is a typical LD$mind manipulator. Money,sex, greed, power & control-

Unfortunately, people expect "crazy" to look like someone dirty, ugly etc type. When an attractive blonde lady talks in a friendly way about surface level topics, it gets hard to get others to understand the real problem.

@Leena Wexler I know that Tylee was born to Joe Ryan. (Her name was always Tylee Ryan.) Charles married Lori when Tylee was 3 1/2, though, and she lived with Charles and Lori since then. On a body cam video Charles referred to both J.J. and Tylee as his kids when speaking to police about Lori, and Joe Ryan was already dead at that point. Anyway, Charles thought of Tylee as his daughter. I do too.

So the death of Charles vallow was labeled a Murder by the police but they let the murderer go? What is wrong with our police here in Arizona
Exactly, the detective on that case was promoted. It is amazing that someone could do such a horrible job yet get promoted.

Police everywhere, the 13th Amendment allows you to be a legal slave if you are listed as a criminal;worded as such; they will not allow certain groups to be slaves, look how long they took to even bring charges up on Ahmad Arburys killers, is no longer self-defense if these so-called assailant is retreating which is running away from you you cannot shoot people in the back and call it self-defense because they are retreating yeah they had no original plans to charge those men with murder homicide although Ahmad was retreating because they were not trying to list them as legal slaves if they had criminal charges put on them. Yet Chad was listed as a homicide victim and they did no investigation to find his killers, because of the people or person they would have to list as a criminal/ slave. Welcome to Amerikkka 🤬

The Chandler police did an absolutely despicable job protecting the life of Charles Vallow who reached out for help and was summarily dismissed. I hope any law enforcement officers and their higher ups responding to this case never has a decent nights sleep knowing they let these killers walk free only to kill again and again.
Totaly agree it's like they just allowed Lori and Alex do whatever they wanted to do.
They did the best they can. A lot of times when they side with the man, the woman gets hurt. They have to go by case to case basis. Just like doctors they’re human and make human errors. It’s not fair but that’s life.

This channel also has another video posted in the last few days with Lori’s mother in it. I read many times that Lori’s mom is crazy, too! But I’m not positive!

When you look at the deaths along Lori's time line and collections of life insurance makes me wonder how scary and eerie it is for Lori's friends and cult members to realize how deeply they were falling into Lori and Chad's dangerous, evil, self-righteous, make-believe story's.
She destroyed so many lives - Joe Ryan, Tylee Ryan, Colby Ryan, Charles Vallow, JJ Vallow, Kay & Larry Woodcock, Alex Cox, the rest of her family, Tammy Daybell & her family, the Daybell kids, her follower friends - heck, even the one in Hawaii who didn't take her bait is still stressed to the max over her experience of merely meeting Lori. And yes, Chad is to blame for most of this list, but notice that the list begins before Chad enters the picture. That's a lot of freakin lives she's ripped apart. She will pay dearly somehow or another. It's insane to look at her path of destruction

Chad's kids were all in on the cult (although I don't know that they had anything to do with the murders) and they are still faithful to their dad. Also all of them were adults, not dependent on him. Same with Lori's oldest son, Colby. He was an independent adult. They felt Lori's dependent children were in the way, and *that's* why they did it. It's horrific.
Totally normal, when I see people I know shot lying on the floor bleeding I always drive thru Burger King afterwards. Because that’s what people who are not psychopaths do.

Her husband has just been killed and she stood there laughing about it didn't raise a red flag at all, aswell has the fact Charles was shot twice didn't raise any flags it would have only taken 1shot to stop him with the bat, I don't believe he hit Alex with that bat at all. 😅

@@angels0auras Brandon also had large life insurance. Melani stopped the divorce preceedings before the shooting for this reason (allegedly) as she wouldn't be able to collect if they were in the process of divorcing.
As for the children, there's an abundance of theories. Some think that the murders were ritualistic. I think that it's possible that Lori killed Tylee, maybe in a fit of holy rage and then JJ had to go as he could inadvertently blow the whistle on them by asking about his sister. I hope we'll get some answers during the trial but I'm not holding my breath.
They thought the end of the world was to happen on July 20, 2020 and no one would notice the kids were gone.

⏩ As a *toxic narcissist,* Lori loves people to the extent of *HOW THEY MAKE HER LOOK to her public.* Lori no longer wanted to be around *JJ* (for his disability,) *Charles* (who was figuring her out and getting in the way of her affair with Chad), and *Tylee* (for her growing challenge with her weight -- an embarrassment for Barbie doll Lori -- which I'm sure was a byproduct of the chaos and upset Tylee was experiencing with her mother.)
*Lori showed us this same behavior in pretrial,* with her FIXATION as to HOW SHE LOOKS. *The sad fact is, Lori CANNOT SEE past the end of her nose* when it comes to compassion for others. *She's left NOTHING but death and destruction in her wake.*
*For a person so fixated on her LOOKS,* Lori still CANNOT see, that *the "zombie" is actually looking back at her in the mirror,* and has been *all the while.*
Evidence?
Lori could have easily put Tylee on a diet.
I think tylee knew it was not an accident with Charles but believed her mom because kids who love their parents can be blinded to the truth.
When or if they had arguments, it could be a possibility that tylee used that against her.
I know I could be wrong but those thoughts have crossed my mind.

So sad. People like Charles Vallow always underestimate their estranged spouses. If you are having even the SLIGHTEST bit of acrimony or negativity in your separation/divorce, you NEED TO PROTECT YOURSELF. Better to look stupid than to end up dead. So many people end up dead. Never meet them. Especially not on your own.

Charles’s death. Why Melanie Pulauski isn’t being charged is beyond me. That woman is SO INVOLVED with each death.
I know, I cannot believe that crazy woman who had a major hand in orchestrating her husband Brandon's death is walking free & has p.t. custody of their 4 kids. Surely, they have enough evidence to charge her and lock her up!!

I find the bodycam footage of Charles very upsetting. I don’t feel the police officer took his concerns and fear seriously enough. His planned murder could have been stopped which would probably have stopped the slaughter of the two innocent children. The death sentence being off the table is outrageous!!

My comment related to the context of this case not a general legal argument. In the UK & at least in the State of California law exists to protect against threats to kill. When this body cam took place the context was a welfare check on the missing child of Charles who himself was afraid of Lori’s threat to kill him. The welfare check led on from a search for Alex’s jeep suspected of being the source of a failed shooting - as confirmed by related police testimony in court on 11 April. The reported threat to Charles life, which shortly afterwards actually happened, should have been a red flag in this case given the context at that stage. Hence my initial comment. Hope I tried hard enough.
Perhaps had he grabbed J.J. and some clothes and gone to stay with the Woodcocks until the divorce was finalized, they might have survived.
@@dawnb3194 I think your original comment was 100% right on, without any need of explanation or justification. You went above and beyond with your second comment. Much the way you would hope the police, whose job -- at its essence -- is "to protect and serve". In other words, to put some amount of effort into making sure someone who goes to them for help, will at least have their concerns looked into. Otherwise, the police are only patronizing.
edited to add: The police "investigation" of Charles' death is more of the same police malfunction. Altogether, the police did nothing for Charles, and everything for Lori. If the police had done any part of their jobs seriously with any part of Charles' story, none of the subsequent tragedies would have been able to happen.
@@deelaljee9176 I think such action would only have played into the manipulative hands of Lori who at that time was making untrue allegations about Charles to family, friends & the Police - all of whom believed her or did nothing. This is why he felt so distraught.
I think the niece had something to do with all this also
Zulema and Melanie Gibbs need to be held accountable for their involvement but they've been given immunity because they are testifying against Lori and Chad. I wonder if Lori's brother Alex was murdered by them as well, interesting he was so involved and ended up dead.

But wait...at around 14:00 Lori sends a text to JJ's babysitter that he is at Kay's and refers to her as his grandmother, but in court today she claims she's not really his grandmother? Which is it Lori?????????❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓❓
Little of both, actually. Biologically, Kay is JJ’s grandmother. JJ was born to a meth addict 4 weeks early and also addicted to meth, which got him removed from that person. JJ’s custody got turned over to Kay, his grandmother, who held him for a year and who he sees as his mother. Kay and her husband eventually realized he was so high energy that they wouldn’t be able to keep up with him as they got older, and Lori (Kay’s younger sister) said she would take him.
Hence, Kay is JJ’s Grandma, Mama, and Aunt

Lori I feel is a serial killer. Everyone that ever was around her are gone, or greatly suffered one way or another, & she’s still at it, she’s trying to kill the survivors, victims, slowly, emotionally, she has no mercy for anything, just her world, ( by God, don’t stand in her way, she’ll play her goddess actions on earth, creepy to think about!!) Everyone of their family members, friends, they need their rights, they need to heal in the most greatest of ways, I’ll / we all will be right next to the survivors, the victims, till the end, beyond, they’re all such good human beings. By definition she is a serial killer. She’s caused the deaths of more than 2 people and there has been an extended period of time between each murder.
Well truthfully who knows. These things can be demonic. She can be innocent. But if she did it for money then she guilty. Spiritual attacks are real. Demons can jump in and out of people making them commit crimes. There's also a lot of EVIL in this world!we live in. There's is the real world then there's the spiritual world. Only GOD can judge her actions. The bible States You Reap What You Sow. So if she really guilty she will pay in the end. Amen...

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. There are a lot of people in the church that do horrible things. But that's not the church. I was treated horribly as a child by church members, even though I was a member as well. But I have stayed because I find peace from my savior in it, even if the people are imperfect.
Never was a Mormon. All religions are nonsense but I read about LDS and its pretty bizarre. Everyone thinks its like Christianity but its nothing like it.

Even though Charles was trying to report her for threatening his life, he was still 'worried about her,' he wanted her to 'get help'
They were so confident that they could pull off this crime spree that they really did nothing to cover their tracks.

Considering the trail of bodies left by this witch someone needs to do an in depth autopsy on Alex the fall guy. Alex's death was way too convenient for Lori. Hopefully Arizona will get things right because the losers in Idaho have totally screwed this case up.
Supposedly they did. It was shocking when it came back as natural causes. There's lots of speculation as to how they could've made it look natural.
I'm pretty sure Alex was cremated.

Her alibi is not for real, I mean she said she was with her 2 friends and chad in her apartment but then when her kids didn't appear anymore, anyone with no guilt would have notified police straight away and she didn't and plus she kept on getting SS payments for JJ and Tylee and didn't tell them the kids had disappeared

In order to have an alibi one needs to know the exact time and location the murders took place. I wish she'd testify and tell us exactly how she knows that and why she didn't report it to LE.

It’s a shame the death penalty is off the table.
Before killing her husband, she was claiming to family and friends she was specially blessed she couldn't be harmed. She said she couldn't be hurt by a bullet. So here she's telling police she was afraid Charles was going to hurt her.
So she really doesn't believe she has special powers, and she's lying about him being dangerous.
Lastly, now we know the motive to kill Tylee. Tylee lied to police about what happened, and Lori was afraid they'd eventually get the truth from her.

I've followed this case but not closely. Hopefully, someone here has & can help me. Didn't any of Tammy & Chad's kids question their Mom's death & then he runs off to get married to Lori? I seem to remember that their kids were still living in that same house. Did they ever question where Tylee & JJ were? Didn't they notice someone digging in their yard & put 2 + 2 together?

I'm wondering why the kids were disposed of differently? JJ was intact wrapped in duct tape and plastic and Tylee was dismembered. Does that mean 2 different people did that?
