I have the fox 2.0 coil over level kit with rear shocks on my 2018 f150 and it's insane the difference it makes down dirt roads and even just in town your driving. It handles washboard so much better now it doesn't want to skip anymore and feels super planted. I love coil over kits and recommend them to anyone looking for a smoother ride
Did that require new UCA's ? Were you looking to level a standard F-150 and at the same time improving your suspension for light weight off roading and daily driving ? What kind of cost did you wind up paying ?
70 year old Frankie again from Long Island with my red Colorado. Everytime I watch your videos I learn something and always enjoy them. Up with lift trucks down with low riders Y'all STAY WELL
On my 2023 F150 for 4 days now I have had my 6" Rough Country Lift with VERTEX Coil-overs and BDS Upper Control Arms in the front and VERTEX remote reservoir shocks in the rear. The ride is amazing. Better than stock in my opinion. was out looking for those nasty patches of road to test them out. Just beautiful. I have to be honest when talking street application, I like them better than FOX. Rough Country is a serious competitor in this area now. They are that good. I noticed they improved with driving also. My experience, they do break in, within 300 miles on and off road all shake in the steering was gone and the ride was smooth as silk. For on road I have the front set to 3 and the rear set to 1 with no load in the back.
I did 2 inch vertex coilovers with zone off-road UCAs and vertex rear shocks on my 2017 F150. I ended up with 2.5 in of lift in the front and sit perfectly level and have 295/70/17 on a 17X9 -12 wheel. It’s a great looking set up that rides amazing on the street and I can run around the orchards at 45-50mph when I crank the vertex up. I think you can tell I was going for more of a preruuner style build.
I literally was just looking at BDS coilovers and UCAs today. I'm going to wait until my stock shocks wear out before making the change. By that time I'll determine if I'm keeping the truck or starting another build. Lol. Great video!
@@CustomOffsetsTV no seriously all the thanks to you guys because I was getting stressed out with all the research and options lol. Love you guys please keep it up 🤘🏽🔥
I have front and rear vertex on a six inch lift on a Ram 1500. Upgraded the lower and upper control arms and beefed up the sway bars. Before all of it the truck just felt unstable going down the high way around turns and in a straight line. Driving over 70 mph was def not recommended. Now? Ive taken that thing over 100 Mph and hit some pretty gnarly turns. Ive passed other lifted trucks and I know they were tryin to figure out how in the fk is that guy moving so fast down the road without crashing into shit? Once it gets on uneven roads it handles like a dream. I usually adjust the stiffness when traveling on the roads and soften it when I go into rural areas or urban areas with a lot of potholes . So, YES they def worth the money.
Did you go to the gallery and check it out? Going for a military style setup. Just have to change the wheels to the black rhino ones that look like hummer wheels.
1967 C10 with $250 to spend. What that get me? Retired ASE master. Asking because 3 fusions & implant w/electrodes still hurt at 6’3”. No lift, soft aspect ratio on tires. It is my driver.
My vertex lower spring perch is popping and creaking like a old wooden ship, it’s pretty embarrassing and rough country doesn’t seem to offer any advice on how to repair it
bro i ride my dmax down a rutted bumpy ass road with my boat all the time and i feel like i have the go so slow so i dont rattle my truck apart. currently has a fabtech 8 inch on 37s. what ya think, coilover kit and deavy leafs? or just embrace my fate as a 2500
I have a 2000 Suzuki Japanese mini truck (DB52T) with a 2" lift (just spacers) and 26 x 10 x14 ATV tires and stock suspension. Do you have any advice on how I can improve my ride besides just putting HD coils ie. 250 or 300lbs on the front. It would be nice to have a 4" suspension kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks - Dan
Can you do a video about bag's please I was planning on putting bags on my 62 but don't know if there good for daily driver use and what's the right ones I should get for my truck and the disadvantages pros and cons of daily driving on bag's
I have a motofab 3" in the front and 2" in the rear leveling kit. Once my truck hits 100k miles or more, I might replace the shocks and struts with the 3" cognito performance lift kit.
My reason is my rear shocks are done on my 1995 dakota RWD and coilovers sounds like the great option for the front and the rear plus I want to tow a 6x12 food trailer so the rear coilovers will handle that pretty easy. I got an 5.2l on that truck,. Does any coilovers shocks fit on any truck?
I have a 6 inch Readylift with Bilstein Coilovers and reservoir shocks on my 2019 Tundra... Love it! The geometry is pretty accurate, if not completely, that being said, would you still recommend aftermarket UCA's? I've heard some guys having issues with them, once installed.
So are the rough country coil overs height adjustable, so I can go from a 6 inch lift to 7.5 lift to have different wheel setups or are they just set to one size?
Not an expert but I believe so. I would think the Further you adjust them the worse the ride quality gets just like anything else . Definitely just call rough country though their customer service is actually pretty top notch now.
I need some help... I ride my 2nd gen tacoma daily with a lot of weight due to my tools. The back sags a lot. Oem shocks. How can I stop the back from sagging and my leafsprings from flattening out
That is a tough one, if you're wanting good all around fox does an amazing job, icon does an amazing job throwing in a bit more offroad then normal they soak up bumps really well!
Hey hopefully you guys read my comment I just want to let you know that a lot of these trucks that are two wheel drive are compatible with four wheel drive coilovers I drive a 2013 Ford f150 and for years I have called many shops including yours and they always told me that there's no 6-in lift strut for my two wheel drive but rough country makes one for a four-wheel drive and it fits perfectly belstein just came out with 6-in lift strut for my truck and it's labeled as four wheel drive so what I have to do is spend my own money and experimented with both of these companies and guess what they both fit perfectly no issues better right quality 2013 Ford F-150 was the odd year because even rough country makes the vertex coilovers but those are for 2014 and up you could take out the lower amount with the pushing and then press in a regular bushing with the eye going through it and converted for the 2013 I hope somebody that has the same truck as mine reads this comment I'm pretty sure that a lot of coilovers that are only meant for a four wheel drive application also fair to two-wheel drive I don't have the money like you guys do to buy things to make videos and to experiment but I have to do it myself

Swimming upstream here perhaps, and I mean no disrespect, but this video style is absolutely awful for how I learn. Why say 50 words when 10 will do? Sooo much needless high energy and salesman-style infomercial yakking. Thanks anyway, but I'll search for a non-cocaine fueled video to explain this to me.

Jealous. I ended up with the rancho rs9000xl on my 2018 f150. They're awesome but kinda wish I got the fox 2.0. About 3x as expensive though

Just had my BDS 4 inch coil over kit installed a week ago. Really impressed with the ride. My opinion it is worth the extra money for the coil over.

Coil overs and struts are the reason modern cars and trucks ride so much smoother.

Do a BDS coil over conversion on your truck, and let the subscribers of custom offsets know what you think.
To bad nobody makes a coilover for a 2019 + GM 1500 over 6 inches, I'm having ADS making me a custom set for a 10 inch lift right now.
ADS is where it’s at. Premium to say the least. I’m having ADS make a custom set for a 6” lift on my 2020 Tacoma.
GREAT Informative Video; Helped My Research to the MAX!!!! THanks My GuY
This is the exact video I needed to watch. Great informative video!!
Got a 99f250 on leaf springs all around so thanks for this video. I was thinking of doing a coil over conversion.
I have fox coil overs on my Silverado and they ride really good but I hate that they rust
I have a 6” RC with the upgraded coil overs. Not the Vertex, but the first upgrade to coil overs.
Hell ya how you liking it?
Love it, rides sooooo much better than stock. Even had a friend say that it rides like a Cadillac! That’s saying something about the setup.

If you can afford it, get the coil over

I drive a 5.3 Chevy 2021 would a 6 inch lift messs up the transmission due to the weight

They make kits for just about all trucks now.

definitely a must have 👍👍💯

Yes!

Newer shocks in the year or heavier duty leaf springs.

Yes do a coilover video
You get what you pay 💰 for. FYI. Cheap parts on a vehicle never ends well.
Do they make coil overs for my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500hd classic crew cab 4x4?
BDS does!
Soooo.. this is the same guy that is in the We The People Holsters ad!??
Dustin switched careers haha
Why does Chevy/ gmc still use torsion bars ?
how good is the RC coilover lift kit? 2014 Chevy Silverado 4x4.
The vertex kit is soooo worth it for the money! Rides good and lasts! Jerry had it on his truck and we road tripped it a lot!
If you already have a Lift Kit , can you add coilovers to it ?
Some kits do allow switching out to coilovers! Email info@customoffsets.com for more info 😎
