You’re not really paying for a levelling kit. More the fact you’re buying one of the highest quality suspension upgrade kits on the market. The ride height is just a bonus.

I have Bilstein 6112s on my F150 set at the highest lift setting, which is 1.75” I think. 5100s in the rear. Ride is great on and off road, and I was easily able to clear 285/75r18 tires on factory wheels, which are a full 35” diameter tire.

So you got a new shock and coil , set the height, assembled them yourself and replaced the front struts. No UCA replacement required ? Then replaced the rear shocks with a Bilstein 5100 shock also ? Are you happy with the leveling and the ride quality ? What type or level of off road driving were you trying meet ? I have a 2020 F-150 that I want to level and drive off road on fire trails and no serious off roading but be able to leave the highway and run through some woods.

They absolutely are not a full 35, that's like a 33.5 basically and I can guarantee it's probably right under 33 with the trucks weight on em. 😂

    • @philipdamm8850

Great vid. I have a 2013 Titan 4x2. I installed new OEM style struts on the front with the rough country 3 inch lift. I believe that makes the front spacers 1.8 inches thick. Also installed new RC Forged Aluminum control arms and sway bar links. No issues with the front.
For the rear I installed RC 1.75 inch tapered blocks. My truck had driveline vibration around 1800 rpm in 1st gear. Truck sat for 2 weeks while I messed with it and did research. I ended up swapping those tapered blocks for supreme suspension 1.5 inch flat blocks and the problem is 100% solved. I told RC about my issues after I corrected it. They insisted that I needed a carrier bearing drop since my 4x2 has a 2 piece shaft but their instructions as well as their website say ZERO about a carrier bearing drop for a 1st Gen Titan.
A little annoyed that they sell the exact same parts for 4x2 and 4x4 trucks as far as the 3 inch lift or am I just a 1 off case with the previous driveline vibration?

Sorry for the confusion, I’m new to off-road lifts. So if I’m wanting to do a 2” lift on a Tahoe, does the 2” leveling kit only lift the front end 2”? Or does it lift the front and back, but make them level in the process?

Leveling kit only lifts the front of the vehicle to make the truck appear “level.” From the factory the vehicle has the back lifter higher due to its load capacity when you add weight the rear squats down and looks level.

Very educational. Thanks. A few questions I'm hoping you'll see and be able to answer after all this time. I'd want high end, top performance for my anticipated new F150, so based on what you've said here I'd go the top of the line $4,600 coil over level kit route, at whatever today's more recent price point is. But what I really want is either a 3" or 3 1/2" level, or maybe a 4" lift, to allow max room for a larger 35" tire and its added minimum road clearance. Here are my questions:
First, are there issues going up to a 3" or 3 1/2" level that affect performance, ride quality/comfort, suspension range and such that make that height less than ideal? Second, would going up to a full on 4" lift kit with the added reconstruction underneath and that metal addition running across the front side to side, which looks like it would decrease minimum road clearance, would that resolve any such concerns found with the higher level kits, and would it increase or decrease performance, ride quality/comfort, suspension range and such? And would that full on lift kit then hang lower across the front thus actually decrease the minimum road clearance versus the 3" or 3 1/2" level? Other? Thanks.
I live in mountainy ski country with deeper snow and often rougher roads, and what appears to be a lower hanging added bar structure going across the front with the full on lift kit, that drop down height concerns me. It's all a little confusing and I'm only just learning. Cost is secondary to me. I want to learn the pros and cons of a higher 3 - 3 1/2" level vs jumping up to a 4" lift. I can factor cost in later if needed.

I've run -28 and -41 offset wheels and 35s exclusively for years. Has a norcal and has the front bumper halved down the middle pre runner style. Did a one inch diff drop bracket to help cv angles out as well. Haven't had a rub or scrub in its entire tenure as my setup.
