one veiwer, said said after, however you decide to rewire, clearcodes, disconnect battery terminals, do your thing, reconnect battery, start engine, rev to 5000rpms for ten to fifteen seconds ,holding steady, shut down to idle and repeat 5000rpms for same duration and the shutdown. turn off sit for a few and then drive,. supposedly this will relearn the puter. havent tried it myself but got a 05 gmc 6.0 with the codes, wont go away, we will see.
I did that and it fixed .but I had to jack it up and get all 4 wheels off the ground it's all wheel drive .. and run it in gear to get 5000 rpm the Rev Limit is 3000 rpm in park . But yea that did the trick. Thanks for info..
As Timmy suggested, mounting the knock sensor on anything that moves will cause the sensor to send an electrical signal to the computer. All the sensor does is tell the computer the engine is knocking and to roll back the advance on the ignition. Leave the sensors off and drive the truck.
I have a knock sensor problem as well had replaced and still do but it only do if i drive 60 or above but at 58 it doesn't come so i drive 58 no light's
Were you able to get it fixed? I'm having the same issue with my 01' Yukon. Changed the knock sensors underneath the intake, still got the code. Relocated them on the sides of the block, still got the code.
Yea I got it fixed. I cant remember the part number but I got them for by the vin number at the dealership and it fixed it .. my dummy ass didn't write the part number down. Sorry .but yea its fixed .I had to do the same thing to my gmc 5.3 too
My back one just started to show on my 2001 , take your battery off over night, it reset all of it... i my on the two wire into one now, just going to relocated it out outside of block, make rubber boot to cover it all...

Check your harness for chaffing! Look around down by the drive shaft to front diff. Also back behind intake where it goes down trans.
It's possible you have an ECM issue or possibly a bad connection somewhere in the wiring harness including the ECM connector.
😅
I've had this problem, went to chevy house and bought them no more code.
You may have a bad ground on the engine. The sensors need a good ground
Iv fixed it with the right part ..

As prev comments hitting bumps etc it'll read it as a knock

The one taped to the wire might be flopping a little and tapping on that other wire when you hit a bump
Good thing to watch on brake at work
