I am a leather worker beginner. I have been making belts as they are pretty simple to do. I am I finally found your explanation on how to make a belt keeper the right way, I have been butt joining them and stitching. I knew no better way to do it. duh. I had one fail. In the future I will do them the same way you I think your method could not ever fail. Thanks for teaching the right way. I can now make belts that will not fail.
I prefer to saddle-stitch as I go, two needles. One through, but don't tighten, the other through, and up through the loop left by the first. When you repeat on the next stitch, you're pulling on the loop from the previous stitch, so that closes the loop.
Thanks for video. I found it very informative. The most important is that it covers all the details. And we know that devil is in details. I would also want to see other aspects of belt making. For example how to make belt from something exotic like shark skin or so. How do you line such a belt. ETC. Just keep up, I bet it will be helpful for everyone.
Hello Ben. love this video man. I want to ask, what will the broadness of a keeper be for a 38mm belt? I'm not so bright on the inches and quaters😂. So I'd like to know in mm please
Good work! And I like your attitude
